Product Reviews
Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 335reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Still evaluating this solution option. Expect it will get 4/5 stars. Need to determine how much the capacity/efficiency changes when moving from 2008 R2. September 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by A good successor and much better than its first release (As it always is the case). Well laid out and easy to use. September 1, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by The OS itself has appeared very stable and reliable. I've managed to keep servers running for 90 days + without many issues. The only reason why i haven't given this 5 stars is that awful start menu. I can understand it being in windows 8 & 8.1 because they might be running on a touchscreen and it's nice to use a full screen start menu on a touchscreen but when was the last time you had a business critical MS SQL Server running on a touchscreen or a tablet. September 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Who decided an interface with touchscreen in mind was appropriate for a server? Hmm? I kid, I kid. Really this is an excellent server OS. I prefer it to 2008 r2 actually. August 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Its the best server OS i ever used, very stable and secure with lots of resources to use. Powershell addition was great and the option to remove de GUI on server core its very good as well. August 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best release yet. Every server release has been better than the last. This is one area that Microsoft is actually putting some fantastic resources into. I can't say the same about their desktop operating systems because... well... ME, Vista, 8/8.1... You get the point. But every server release since 2000 has been better than the last. Can't wait for 2016! We're about 30% 2012/2012 R2 now, and I expect to be about 75% by the end of the year before rolling out 2016 (November it looks like). August 18, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy and intuitive to use and configure. I like 2012 r2 and would readily use it more if I could. As a VM its stable and robust. August 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Server 2012 R2 represents another huge improvement over earlier versions. It's hard to believe that only a year later than Server 2012, this stunning release comes out. Chock full of new and improved features. The release includes PowerShell V4 as well as further improvements to Hyper-V. Along with Windows 8.1, this represents a nice change in direction for Microsoft. August 14, 2016
