Darkfield laser tracking gives you flawless control on virtually any surface, including glass and high-gloss surfaces. This wireless travel mouse performs anywhere you need it to - glass tables in your hotel room, shiny laminate tops, train and airplane tray tables, and even your jeans. Unlike traditional laser and optical mice which use irregularities on the surface to track mouse movements, Darkfield technology uses the smallest possible detail to create a micro-road map of the surface.

Product Reviews
Logitech MX Anywhere 2 USB Wireless Mouse is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Scroll wheel has no middle button Every mouse I have used for the last 20 years allows you to configure the scroll wheel so that clicking it works as a middle button. This behavior is routine, standard and ingrained in my muscle memory. On this mouse, clicking the scroll wheel switches between the wheel clicking and free wheeling. It is not configurable. It is a mechanical action and there is no electronic button even associated with clicking the scroll wheel. That makes using this mouse a constant exercise in frustration. I'd never have purchased it if I knew that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I find this to be an incredible mouse and very versatile. It has the capability to connect up to 3 devices as there is a button that allows you to quickly switch.I use this mouse for travel as well as desktop. Took me a while to find a great mouse and this was it. It is also rechargeable so you'll never have to worry about batteries. It charges through USB which comes with a chord.Devices currently connected to my mouse:Work Desktop (Receiver)Macbook Pro Retina 15" (2015) (via BT)Dell XPS (2015) (via BT)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 1 Step forward, 3 Steps back This mouse makes improvements over the original MX Anywhere mouse. However it also takes 3 huge steps backwards in my opinion.Improvement: Bluetooth connectivity. I really like this feature but I have identified issues with it, several times a week I will lose Bluetooth connectivity in the middle of using the mouse and I have to press the 1-2-3 selector button on the bottom to cycle around to come back to profile I use to get it to reconnect. I suspect a firmware upgrade in the future will resolve this issue.Issue #1. The Software application that Logitech makes available for this mouse provides no indication of the battery charge level on the taskbar. The only way to know if the mouse is charged is to open the application "Logitech Options" which will display a very vague indication of charging or charged. Without manually running this software, you have no idea what the batteries charge level is. The previous generation MX had software that would indication with Windows alerts when the mouse batteries were low. In addition to this the mouse power LED would flash red when batteries were low. I have noticed neither of these features on this mouse running Windows 10.Issue #2 - The charging cable is only 2ft. While you can use the mouse and charge it at cable length provided is only going to make you go find and buy a longer USB cable. For a mouse that costs significantly more than the original MX Anywhere and it's basically the same design to not have a USB Cable of reasonable length to charge and use the mouse comes off to me as a measure of cutting corners on the part of Logitech.Issue #3 - Battery life is atrocious compared to the original MX Anywhere Mouse. I own multiple MX Anywhere Mice and the batteries usually last several months before needing to be replaced with the level of use I have. This mouse on a full charge didn't even last 30 days of 5 day a week office use. I was concerned when I saw that this mouse went away from the previous generations 2 AA battery design in favor of a rechargeable and in less than 30 days my concerns have been confirmed.Time will tell if this mouse includes upgraded switches so it doesn't have the double click issue that plagues the previous generation MX Anywhere. In closing, given the above issues with functionality, this mouse will NOT be an option that my organization is going to move forward with. We will stick with the older and cheaper MX Anywhere design. Despite it's double click issue that eventually requires the mouse to be replaced, it's much more reliable and functional overall. Perhaps after a firmware update that resolves the Bluetooth connectivity and battery usage issues I have identified along with a software update that gives you some sort of Windows alert to the battery status and % life remaining this could become an option for our staff.
