Product Reviews
Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 31reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by great propduct and great price is to use and really helped our office function better January 12, 2017
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy set up, but... This pair have really improved streaming music in a room distant from the Linksys router. The downside is to update and improve connections, you have to connect to a LAN cable. Neither of my computers has a LAN port. Oops. October 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Changed Everything Anyone interested in this product I suggest reading my whole commentary to avoid the few, but significant problems. My house is a 3200 sq ft., 2 story, and box shaped. My router setup was on the far end of the 2nd story. I upgraded from a very good wireless N router to an expensive Linksys AC3200 Wireless AC router. All my devices work with the AC convention. I expected a big difference in my wireless range. There was none.I called Linksys Support and they helped me through a few changes which made a marginal differences close into the router, but no signal reached the far ends of the house. (the tech support was not very good - communication skills were sub-par).I have tried wireless range extenders with my N Router and they di not work at all for me.I was about to get the cable company to run an CAT5 cable from my router through the attic and down to the far end of the house so I can stream movies to that part of the house. I did a little research and found I wanted to take one last chance using a powerline range extender with Wi-Fi capability at the receiver unit. I decided to stay with the same manufacturer as the router.I ordered the PLWK 400 kit from Linksys direct with a guarantee that I could return it if it too turned out to be a big disappointment. I positioned the sender unit near the router directly into the wall outlet. The receiver unit was at the far end of the house where I got little or no internet service. To sum it up, the PLWK 400 kit solved all my problems beyond my wildest expectations! I now have fast responsive internet everywhere in the house and I couldn't be happier.Pros:Easy to set up powerline portion. Plug and play. Give the units a couple of minutes to find the electrical path and all is good. The wireless signal from the receiver unit at the far end of the house works fabulous.. I don't have numbers, I just know all my tablets, phones and laptops all work extremely well using that wireless signal. I have no dead spots in my house and I have wireless outside now.Cons:Setup instructions, in a word, suck. A couple of diagrams on the CD case that came with it, but nothing else. Two of my Windows 10 computers would not recognize the CD. I had to download the software and instructions from Linksys. The wireless signal out of the box IS NOT SECURE THROUGH YOUR ROUTER YET. Anyone could sign on! The instructions for setting up the security suck also. Good news I called Linksys Tech Support and got right through. The communication was not the best. I ended up giving the tech person remote access to my computer to set it up and they did a marvelous job and now I am happy. Another note, they tried to charge me $10 to set it up through remote access and I told them I did not think that was fair after buying a $300 router and $100 range extender. The tech person checked with a manager and they waived the fee for one time.Recommendations:1. Great product and worth every nickel. I believe it would work as well with less elaborate routers and do a fine job.2. WARNING: YOU HAVE TO SET UP SECURITY ON THE WIRELESS SIGNAL from the receiver unit of the Powerline Extender OR YOUR WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD WILL BE ON YOUR NETWORK.3. Tech Support: After 2 incidents, one with my router and then one with the range extender, I am unimpressed with the verbal communications and directions. They need to work on that. October 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works well. I bought this network extender three weeks age and it has worked perfectly. Do not plug into surge protectors. It has been very reliable. I am thinking of buying several more. July 8, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product, Easy to Setup Just received this product, the setup was seamless and took around 5 minutes. I have been very impressed with the speed and reliability of this product straight out of the box. The powerline network works excellent and is providing high speed internet for TV from across the house. February 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent After buying two , I finally found one that covers the whole house, thank you. December 2, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works for Me I've had these for a year. In our "L" shaped brick rancher, they double my wi-fi coverage in the house. We had a very weak signal, because the router is in the office at one end of the house, and our living area is at the other end of the "L". Trying different plug locations in proximity to the router and receiving unit gets you the best signal possible. It works!! July 29, 2015
