Rated 3 out of 5 by TriBand Router Review Am having some issues with IPv6 and also errors getting an invalid IP configuration on several devices. Will attempt to work out these issues with the vendor. October 2, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Improved access I bought this EA9200 to improve the slow speed of my EA6900. The EA9200 greatly expanded the volume and speeds of all the devices. One problem I have found was that the range has apparently not improved which was a surprise to me. September 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy camper! Two 5GHz bands and one 2.4 GHz band. Uses GUI for setting up the bands, passwords and other functions. Two more SSIDs for unsecured guest access. For IT professionals - no ability to connect directly to the router from WAN. It does have virtual LANs. My smart TV and other music/video computers are on one of the 5GHz bands. Speed improvement is noticeable. The WPA/WPA2/TKIP/AES mixed option was recognized and picked correctly by all of my network devices except one. Uncommon slow speed when router is downloading setup pages to a computer. Data transfer speeds appear to be fast, though I have no bit rate testing equipment. Connections are stable. Second level in my house get good signal for TV connection. TV downloads are not interrupted or slowed down. Vertical stand saves desktop space. One of the two router ports can be discovered on the network using the downloadable USB port control software. The other does not. However, the second USB port can be used for attaching network storage. Setup is required. Overall, good value for money. August 24, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid Unit We bought the online recently to replace our older Linksys. So far so good, although I do notice I lose connection every blue moon for about 30 seconds. August 20, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Easy set-up???????? Spent the better part of three days trying to set-up this router. All i wanted to do was replace a Linksys E1200. Too much frustration!! Finally gave up and return it. August 16, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Painful to live with all its issues The UI is made to be easy to use, in return you have less options. So many issues and no firmware update ever! It's a strange policy, and a strange fact that software is not updated. I'm a software developers and we know a lot of bugs will be found. So instead of helping your user by fixing known bugs, the users will open cases, and get lost in reapply old firmware, and reapply same confirmation again to the point to give-up.I had these issues:- UI refuse to load on my Android phone. I had to tell my phone that I'm a "desktop" to be able to use the UI, and then the UI work perfectly...- Using same SSID for 2.4 and 5 ghz create a lot of issues.- 5 ghz auto doesn't work, it still choose channel 36 even if it's use by neighbor network and even when all the other channel are free- 5 ghz manual setting is save but never used, still use channel 36- Often UI stop to load, it timeout and it's dead, so cannot use the UI for a while, like 10 , 15 minutes. I think the software have a lot of quasi infinite loop. August 13, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Router is slow The router is slow for a high end router. I don't think it's the router's fault, I found most tri-band routers have short range and are slow in speed. I think it's due to the slow 1 ghz processor and 256 mb of ram. I got the EA8500 and it blows the EA9200 away in speed and range. The EA8500 has a 1.4 ghz processor and 512 mb of ram, also it has MU-MIMO. Save your money and go with the EA8500, it is about half the price of the EA9200 August 7, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Wifi Range POOR Doesn't cover area needed in home for ip cameras without adding wifi extenders and this is a 4BR house with cameras in all four coners and router cannot be moved August 4, 2016
