Also, I'm not sure if it's the laptop battery or PS, but it takes longer than expected to charge - also, computer loses charge rather quickly. (Used for work and school)

This is hard to plug in to a power strip without an extension cord, and using it outside the US is a nightmare. It hangs heavy on the plug adapter, and causes the plug adapter to be insecure. I LOVE the laptop, but am now in search of an aftermarket power cord.

I can’t plug into the wall in any room in my house and sit on my bed, by the table, etc. I’ve had to move my table to the wall to be able to plug in and charge. In addition, the metal tip bent within a week after receiving the laptop. I have to order a new one now because I am scared it will crack off. Lastly, the way the charger is made with the big box that goes near the outlet makes it fall out of the outlet all the time. I’ve had multiple Lenovo laptops in the past and have never had this experience.

It should be 3 pin ( 2 flat pin & the top one round) with a wire. Other countries do not have good sockets. I have used mac before wth such kinds and adpators burn easily due to spark & also it weighs down. Adapter should be in middle - in the sense cord and then plug. they dont have any other compatible adaptors. Just bought this laptop 2 weeks back & I am now dreading to use this plug in other countries. Its 2016, the team should have had thought better. Great laptop but power plug sucks.

Nothing I've seen on your website so far has any indications as far as VOLTS and AMPS. All you show are Watts. Well, I don't know how many Watts my Lenovo needs because you (the manufacturer) failed to indicate that on the tablet. Please do me a favor and update all your product information for your chargers so I know which one I need to buy. Thanks in advance.

However, no other universal laptop charger has the same connector that hooks up to my Lenovo laptop (IdeaPad). Thus, I purchased it for travel and it is the same one that came with my laptop. The issues: The square block plug is so heavy that it falls out of the wall outlet when I'm working remotely. Sometimes I have to prop up my computer bag to hold the plug into the outlet. At home, the block is so long that I need two outlet spaces to fit it into the surge protector. Lastly, the cord does not disconnect from the block plug and I'm worried it will bend or slit. However, it does charge my computer. I would only recommend this if it's a last resort.

I'm not certain if it's because of the connection blade thickness is at minimum spec or if it's related to weight distribution. But it's very annoying. I would have given it one star but it seems to work electronically. At least so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor ac adapter I agree with other comments concerning the AC charger. While I love my new 15" Flex 4, I am at a loss to understand why Lenovo had to redesign the AC charger. All of my previous chargers are a flat rectangular brick with a separate power cord. This made a great deal of sense. The current brick is difficult to plug in, too short, and too fragile. Previous Lenovo chargers were much better. The laptop gets high marks, but I will have to source another adaptor, because the provided one does not meet my needs or expectations.

It arrived along with the laptop and worked fine without setup right out of the box. My only misgiving is that, in an older AC line wall jack, the twin-prong plug fits loosely enough it kept spontaneously dropping out of the wall jack. After I bought yet another $10 surge protector with newly-fabricated jacks, the problem was entirely solved and I'm happy with it.

It was advertised to fit my Model, but when I got it, the barrel plug required WAY too much force when I connect it to the laptop. Not wanting to risk damage to the laptop, I bought a charger direct from Lenovo. Paid a little more, but it fits perfect and I sleep better.

However, future recommendations for a wall adapter are: - Better design that will accommodate the size and weight that will complement with wall sockets and fit with other plug-ins; - Sturdy well-made cord wiring, - Shockproof to drops and accidents. - Expand the ability to be utilized with other products.

However, I wish the cord itself was thicker and that the charger body itself felt like one piece. Nevertheless, I am glad they still made this even if the laptop was already discontinued.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too short! I just cranked up my new Ideapad and first Lenovo product today. The one and only problem, so far, is this adapter cord is too short. I had to rearrange the living room to get closer to an outlet and I have to use an extension cord. I guess I will have to carry an extension cord around with me when I travel too. Also, I am concerned about the quality of the cord. It seems very flimsy. This review is specific to the adapter only.

It appears there us only one size wall adapter that was offered, seriously minimizing my search for the "right size for my lap top. Thank you for making my replacement task stress free.
