Product Reviews
Rated 2.6 out of 5 by 14reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Simplifies Life in the Classroom This device connects to your laptop (in my case a ThinkPad Edge) via a single USB connection, and allows you to seamlessly start and run several USB devices, an Ethernet (wired) connection to your network, and/or a VGA or digital external display. As the title of this review suggests, this unit really shines in a classroom context. After plugging my laptop into a single USB connector cable, the device allows me to run all my "other stuff" (printer; wireless presenter/mouse receiver; projector; interactive presentation board; and RF clicker response hardware) at the same time, seamlessly and smoothly.I have only one criticism of the device (hence "four stars" rather than five) -- all of its LEDs began flashing about two days ago, and it suddenly "died."In spite of this, and in spite of the fact that mine very recently went out of warrantee, the device has been so convenient and "transparent" (don't have to think about using it) that it took only about five seconds to make the decision to replace it with an identical unit. Rated 2 out of 5 by Second monitor keeps going to sleep I have had 2 monitors working with this but I'm finding that the second monitor, which is connected via VGA) is more and more frequently having issues waking from sleep. All connections are fine and all devices are Lenovo. Any idea how to resolve? Thanks July 25, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Limited models does not work with all yoga This model will not work with all yoga's , It seemed like all three docking station would not even power up, unless you have 1X to attached that permanent line coming out of the back of the docking stations, I would look at another docking station. Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible for connecting, stopped working completel This worked just OK for a couple months. It would often fail to connect the ethernet, monitor, speakers, or USB ports but would work after unplugging and plugging back in eventually. After ~4 months it stopped working all together. None of the ports on it are recognized by my Lenovo Z70 despite being plugged in.This is a terrible product that no one should buy. March 15, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Simply not reliable As most of the reviewers here I am a long time Lenovo user and used to their docks. I like the look of the dock, but it simply does not work. The first thing that does not work with this port are my wireless mouse and keyboard. I since replaced the wireless mouse with a wired mouse and I deal with the frustration of having my keyboard be unresponsive several times throughout the day. Needless to say ifI plu the receiver directly into the laptop there is no problem at all. What I can no longer tolerate is that my monitor does not connect properly. The Onelink turns itself off occasionally and in addition the screen goes blank on my monitor ever so often lately. When I plug the monitor directly into the laptop that is not a problem at all. The monitor works just fine. I can also not use the speaker port on the dock, that does not work either. One might say it is a 'one off', but I have 2 docks: one for my office and one for my office at home. Both docks have the exact same problem. This dock is frustrating. Sadly via the dock is also how you charge your laptop. I now have a dock just for charging and for the internet connection and otherwise all my peripherals are stuck into the laptop. The one thing I wanted to avoid. It simply does not work reliable and therefore is utterly useless as a docking station. March 8, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by USB 3.0 I can't believe Lenovo would make such a sub-par product. The product works for the most part, but, my display screens don't connect about 6/10 times. I have the dock connected to 2 additional screen, but, it is a hit or a miss when connecting to those screens. I have to plug and unplug the cable about 10-12 times before getting it to work. When I directly plug the screens into my laptop, they work like a charm, which leads me to believe it's a problem with the dock. January 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great and easy-to-use plug-and-play device Although I've only had my OneLink Dock hooked up for one day, it's been totally great. It's quite small (only 5.5" tall) and is incredibly simple to use. I simply plugged my external keyboard and mouse into the USB ports in the back of the dock, and an HDMI cable for my external monitor into the HDMI port in the back of the dock, and then the OneLink cable directly into my laptop (ThinkPad E540), and I was up and running immediately. I keep my laptop closed, and to turn it on I simply touch the power button on the OneLink dock and it turns my computer on. My only gripe, which others have also noted, is that some of the ports -- namely the two USB 3.0 and the audio port -- are on the front of the OneLink Dock, so if you want to use any of those (I've hooked external speakers into the audio port), some of the wires will be sticking out of the front of the dock, which isn't as attractive. But otherwise, it's really great and simple to use. I highly recommend it. September 3, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Miserable As others have stated, really poor connectivity with any wireless devices such as keyboards and mouse. Perhaps most irritating is that this $100+ docking station only allows for ONE monitor connection; you have to pay another $100 to have a second monitor with a completely different docking station. Any power user of excel that can't live without two monitors and a fast keyboard response should TURN BACK NOW. Do not buy! July 27, 2015
