Product Reviews
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 20FB - 14" - Core i7 6600U - 16 GB RAM - 512 GB S is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 112.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall Great, but lacks touch screen. Great products and glad to see some of the original X1 features back, except the touch screen option is missing so I have to keep my previous X1 that has touch screen for those presentations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is what PROFESSIONALS use..... Listen, there are consumer grade laptops, then there are Commercial Grade Laptops. When the international space station requires reliability, they use the thinkpad line. When a military outpost needs performance, they also use a thinkpad. I have had thinkpads for the last 20 years. I sell them to my clients without worry of breakdown. They sit in my car in -40 degree weather and fire up without issue. I have had them also sitting in my car baking in 40+ degree weather. Once again they fire up, and the battery isnt failing. So what does that tell you?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 6 month of experience After 6 months of use, I am very satisfied with the X1Carbon. I Bought the top of the line product with I7 processor, 16Gb Memory, etc. I had my wireless go bad after about 4 months. Went on line for support, they sent me a box with shipping instructions the next day. Sent it out and received it back in about 2 days. I was very happy with the support. I have owned probably 1 dozen thinkpads over time and this was the first issue I have ever had. Would have been nice to have a USB to Ethernet cable as standard equipment for the unit, and I would have been able to diagnose my wireless issue. After that problem, I purchased from Lenovo, a USB to Ethernet cable. This is really a nice machine. Powerful, great graphics, light weight and good battery life. I would highly recommend. I bought one for my Daughter (business) and Granddaughter (School), and they have had no issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I actually own this laptop I have used multi monitors with a docking station since 2003 (Dell D series), was concerned about changing from the physical dock of the Lenovo T series (T410s, T430s) for the flex cable single port of the X1. Works great most of the time, known issue that has never been fixed (monitors randomly blink off) It will drive 3 1080 monitors with no problem for business user but autocad not so much! This unit with drive a single 4k and a 1080 at the same time but I am running a single LG 34 (3440x1440) and love it. That said I am going to get the 7th gen chip in the yet to be released 2017 model to drive 2 LG 34’s and a single 27 4k, nuts I know but… I like it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good laptop, speaker blew out after a week. Solid laptop. It runs very well and is very light.... The right speaker blew out after a week though... And I need the computer for work so I can't really send it in to be fixed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this computer! My husband recently bought me the Yoga, and I had to return it because the right shift key was misplaced (couldn't deal with that at all because I like to type). Returned that one and got the X1 Carbon. So far it is fabulous. It's fast, it's light and its thin. The battery power is even good. My old computer only lasted about two hours, so I'm happy with anything. It was very easy to set up and I love the keyboard. Typing is so smooth! I'm a light business user, not a gamer and couldn't be happier. I opted to make the transition to Windows 10. So far so good. The only thing I didn't love is that Microsoft wanted you to login on the initial set up (which also turned into the computer login -- reminded me of something Apple would do). So the computer did start downloading my kids' xbox games. I was able to stop it and went into settings to change my computer login as well. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No compromise laptop It's been close to 3 years now. Wouldn't write a review on a laptop unless I'm fully satisfied. The one I have is 2nd generation X1 with adaptive function key bar. Display is fantastic with 2560x1440 with touchscreen. The processor is awesome offering widi (or screencasting) on smart tv. The Keyboard is great with full movement. I love the placement of home and end button on this generation of laptop. It does take some getting used to but once you are used to it, it is rather convenient without having to find those keys on upper right hand corner. The track pad is effective to scroll and supports multi-finger gestures. The battery lasts pretty well with Windows 10 AU. There was minor issue with charger at one point, but Lenovo support was great in replacing the charger the next business day. I have fingerprint reader which has been great to unlock the account. A laptop that is ultra portable and still gets the job done when you need it. This is not for a developer to run tons of processing. It allows one to run several instances of Word or Excel programs, I leave my Outlook app running for several weeks without having to restart the machine. Memory does max out at some point, which requires signing out and signing back in and not a restart. That's a Windows limitation however. Overall I am satisfied and I'd recommend this laptop for business use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY It got here today, I spent almost $2,000 on it (which is a lot of money for a college student) and it is total garbage and I can't return it without losing $300. DO NOT BUY
