Product Reviews
Lenovo IdeaCentre Stick 300-01IBY 90F2 - Atom Z3735F 1.33 GHz - 2 GB - 32 G is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from WiFi says "Why?" I concur with MoggZero. Surprisingly fast as a PC. Great for carrying your own presentation for education or sales. Worthless for streaming video or doing ANYthing online. The CPU and RAM work fine but the NIC portion of the hardware sucks. My Note 3 downloads 3-4 times faster and I consider that slow (1.5-2.0 MB/sec.) This device couldn't download 0.5Mb/sec. even if your sending it 60 Mb/sec. It would be worth it if it was even a tiny bit faster, but it may as well not have a wireless NIC. It just wastes peoples' time teasing them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 0.12 Mbps download speed. 3.2 Mbps upload. This computer had so much promise. All streaming stutters and has a 30x faster upload than download speed. Tested download speed at 0.12 Mbps. Tech support says network and bluetooth share same device so this is expected. It is completely non functional as a streaming device and very slow in other windows tasks. Windows 10 is the wrong platform for anything other than a high end computer with all its intrusive processes. Unnecessary overworking and bad timing of updating are killing this market with Windows 10. I turn the stick on to use it and it has been as many as three hours before all the scanning and updating is finish before the stick will even recieve key input commands. I am going to wipe windows and see if I can get linux working on it. This may break it but it is useless to me as it is.Do not buy this dysfuntctional stick computer or any other with similar speed and windows 10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price, made a digital picture frame from it I can't believe Windows 10 Home is running on this tiny thing. Works and performs well for it size and specs. I had been wanting to buy a digital picture frame for a while, but when I saw this, I decided to make my own from an old 17" flat screen I had lying around. This is 5-star for what get for $99 bucks. Would consider buying another for my TV to make it Smart-er.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome for Retro Gaming I bought this while thinking long and hard about setting up a Raspberry Pi system for running RetroPi and playing old games on it. But after doing my research, I found that this would be cheaper and easier to set up. I was pleasantly surprised how powerful the little thing actually is. Don't get me wrong, it's not a powerful computer, but if you're looking to run basic internet functions and less memory intensive programs, then this is definitely for you. It's small and super portable so I can take it with me when I travel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best screens average I ever had Use mine as a screens aver running 8,000 photos on scroll. With music running in the background I am totally stoked. It's a great thing to see 16 year's of photos and my family grow as time passes. Also added a 32gb micro chip to handle all current. And future photos. Best thing I ever plugged in my TV

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for what we are using it for We purchased a couple of these to take to shows and they work great. I put a movie that automatically starts so all the sales people have to do is plug it into the HDMI port and USB for power, turn on the TV and computer and they are all set. Works great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unacceptable Performance I purchased two of these about six months ago. I got in the habit of converting my DVD's to digital media, in order to help protect the original DVD media, and for ease of watching. That being said, I have a small home network set up with my office computer, living room entertainment center, and a TV in my bedroom. What appealed to me about these was the size and cost. The fact that you could basically just plug this into the back of a TV was a great idea. Another thing I liked was the fact that it was a SSD, which (theoretically) meant that it should last for a long, long time! So... Like I said, I bought two of these about six months ago. The Wi-Fi was a little slow for my taste; I had to copy movies to the ideacentre Stick in order to watch them without a ton of lag. However, cost and ease of use aside... I haven't used either of them much. I've used the one that I set up in my bedroom a dozen times, maybe. The one in my living room, I've used even less. Last night, as I was in the middle of watching a movie, the ideacentre in my bedroom gave me the Win10 version of the BSoD. It said it experienced a problem and had to restart. A few minutes later, the BSoD turned orange. The problem is... It never restarted. After waiting nearly 20 minutes, I went over and unplugged it. Waited 5 minutes, plugged it back in, hit the power button... and nothing. I was a little frustrated and more than a little irritated (like I said, I was in the middle of a movie) but I just shut everything off and went to bed. This morning, I got up and went to turn it on...and it's still non-responsive. Needless to say, I'm not impressed. I was hoping to avoid having to build a media machine for my bedroom. The ideacentre was a great concept, since I could basically turn my TV into a computer monitor/entertainment machine. Except, that only works if the product works. I have a desktop computer that I built about 8 years ago that is constantly powered on, has been used as a server for my entertainment machines, and still works just fine. Oh... And there's no SSD in it. At all.I can definitely say that I won't be buying another one of these. I don't know what warranty this had, but it's not worth it. If it were possible, I'd give it zero stars... however, the one in my living room still works (for now.)
