Manage network connections efficiently with the Juniper Networks SRX5K SPC2 Services Processing Card (SPC, configured option), designed for use with Juniper Networks SRX5400, SRX5600, and SRX5800 Services Gateways. This SPC provides the processing power to run integrated services such as firewall, IPsec, and IDP. All traffic traversing the services gateway is passed to an SPC to have services processing applied to it. As the "brain" behind the SRX Services Gateways, the SPCs are designed to process all available services on the gateway. This avoids the need to have dedicated hardware for specific services or capabilities, ensuring that one piece of hardware will never be taxed to its limit while other hardware is sitting idle. The services gateway must have at least one SPC installed. You can install additional SPCs to increase services processing capacity. In the SRX5600 and SRX5800 Services Gateways, you must have high-capacity power supplies (either AC or DC) and high-capacity fan trays installed in the services gateway in order to install and use SRX5K-SPC-4-15-320 SPCs. This SPC is compatible with Juniper Networks SRX5400, SRX5600, and SRX5800 Services Gateways, next-generation firewalls (NGFWs) that deliver outstanding protection, market-leading performance, six nines reliability and availability, scalability, and services integration. These devices are ideally suited for service provider, large enterprise, and public sector networks, including cloud and hosting provider data centers, mobile operator environments, managed service providers, core service provider infrastructures, and large enterprise data centers. The SRX5400, SRX5600, and SRX5800 Services Gateways are an integral part of the Juniper Connected Security framework, which is built to protect users, applications, and infrastructure from advanced threats. Delivering the highest level of protection from Layer 3 to Layer 7, these platforms feature a carrier-grade next-generation firewall and advanced security services such as application security, unified threat management (UTM), intrusion prevention system (IPS), and integrated threat intelligence services.
