Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dosen't provide power optionI was recommended this device as a solution for additional ports for HP Elite X2 1012. It does do that however, to plug it in you must use the power port of the X2 thus not allowing your laptop to charge. You can then only use the Port rep for like 2 hrs before you have to unplug and plug your power back in. SILLY!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do not buy this product it is garbageI have spent 3 days trying to get the usb ports on this doc to workthere are pages and pages on the net of people struggling to get this device to work. Plane and simple it will not work. Don't know how it ever made it past initial R and D testing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS DEVICE

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't have both projector and power supply connectThis does not include a way to have the power supply cable also plugged in. So to project, you need to run off the system power battery power since this dongle and the power supply connect to the same port. This is a flaw since sometimes you're working on a presentation, say on an airplane, just before a meeting and then you don't have any battery power left you can't project since you can't charge your battery and have the projector dongle at the same time. Major design flaw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Choose something betterThis "travel" dock has no pass through power, so on devices like the Elite X2, you must choose between power OR display/USB/ethernet. The description says it's a good choice to "say goodbye to dongles," but this is just a glorified dongle--NOT a true travel dock. Save your budget and buy something better.
