The detachable keyboard works with the case, and protects the screen when folded up. I like the kickstand more than the one built into the device - it has a wider range of angles. All the connectors are available from the outside, and it comes with little inserts to block off the ones you don't want.There are two areas I'd wish were different: 1. The pen holder. Then pen blocks the volume rocker when its in the holder. And the holder doesn't hold quite as well as I'd like. Its much easier to use, but I've accidentally knocked it off once or twice. 2. The hand elastic on the back. It works, but its not great to use.

I went through the online warranty process and got a ticket #, but quickly got a follow up email that the case was out of stock. Roughly 2 weeks later I received a replacement case which has reinforced hinges. The hinge itself is wider and there are reinforcements in the kickstand at the hinge.Also, I think they revamped the hand-elastic thing, it's more comfortable to use now.

Rated 5 out of 5 bytnk2k from Nice caseGives a little more heft and non slip surface to the tablet. Kept all the ports open (plugs if you do not use them) and keypad folds right in. Have extra handhold and strap if you wish to use them if need to. Matches the color scheme (if you like the original black) understated decor. Protect from everyday bumps and bruises, what more do you want?

Rated 5 out of 5 byComputer Gurus from One major design flawThe hinge on the stand for this case breaks easily with normal use of just opening and closing it. This design flaw needs to be addressed! I've had several fail and it's been a real pain to get them replaced under warranty. Otherwise the case provides great protection for the x2 612 G2.

A 20% failure rate after only 2 months of deployment. The hinges must have been designed by a tree stump. To top it off, HP can't even figure out how to let us warranty them. If we submit a case online, it just sits. Chat, the send us to our online portal. Save your money!
