Finally, a large format multifunction printer.
I have used a large number of plotters of various manufacture at work, and finally decided I needed my own. I was very pleased to find out that I could get a large format scanner in the same package. The 24" is the cost effective choice between the 24" and 36" wide options (nearly twice the price) and works very well. You don't have to use all of the HP software, most normal Windows software works great, and the built in screen has similar options to all of their Walmart level smaller printers, so is easy to understand and use. There is no option to connect via USB, which is probably normal for offices, but a little strange for the home user. Fortunately, the wifi setup is very easy, or one could just plug into the router with a CAT5 cable. Highly recommend this product. The plotter is as one would expect, the scanner is a significant plus.

great machine but the hp driver setup sucks
when we tried to install the machine with the hp driver installer it will not work. the computer finds the plotter but the driver wizard doesn't find. really annoying

Awesome printer. Prints quietly and various sizes of paper. We are able to print from a job-sites back to the office via our phones which is saving us time.

I love that this has a auto adjust for the paper roll. Easy to setup and use. I still haven't gotten the Software to work, but all drivers work and scanning directly to a thumb drive is awesome, even if more than one page I can print everything I scan at once instead of plotting each page individually.

Not practical for small business or personal use
No software available to scan to a PC? Seriously? Spent over 3 hours with a HP tech, trying to find a work-around to get this thing to scan via USB. Useless. Prints good, but unless you plan on scanning direct to email or a network via direct Ethernet connection or Wifi, this thing is worthless as a MFP.

Great machine.
It works real well. The ink cartridges are pricey. But we will mainly use the scanner part of it. I have a HP printer to print my maps from. I just need a scanner. I would suggest that they would move HP back to the USA.

Plotter print quality is great. We do get some random lines that look a little jagged. Also, 11" x 17" paper feed doesn't seem to be working properly.

Great product and great value.
HP has great plotters. This is a smaller version of what we usually get, but it's perfect. We love the 11x17 tray. It's saving us from using too much paper and ink for review sets. CDW provides amazing service also!

Great Time Saver
I've had my T830 since February, 2019, and it has already paid for itself. Prior to purchasing it, it would take a day and hundreds of dollars to complete my project. I first would drive to my Printing Office, 10 miles away, wait for a set of large format prints, then run them back to my office to mark them up. After that, I'd drive back to the printer to scan the plans in color onto a flash drive for a few hundred dollars more. Then, I'd drive back to the office to send out the scans. Now, I print the large format drawings, mark them up, then scan them in color to my clients, all in one fifth the time as before, no driving or waiting, and for the price of paper and ink. With the T830, I can work late into the evenings and weekends when the Printing Office is closed. The T830 has been a Time and Money Saver for certain.
