The only problem is no remote capabilities and the menus features are locked on the display panel. No access to volume control (have it hooked up with speakers anyway) No access to picture control.

The lowered price was appealing at first glance for the dimension I required. Nothing wrong with the viewing area, but something I didn't check before shopping was the stand and the back for arm mounting! There is no product available to mount this monitor on movable arms! I would recommend this product but if you want dual monitor stand it's not your monitor.

The only problem on this monitor, which will be a recall soon, is the mounting stand will not engage and lock in the plastic tab. A very serious problem as my monitor has fallen over twice now. Thinking about replacing it if problem persist.

I would give it 5 if it had a higher resolution... its the same as my 24" but everthing is only larger.... sadly I will return it. We tried to make a deal equal to what HP was offering, the store was charging $50.00 more. Now that we have the new monitor my wife seldom chooses to use the our desk top (HP 8300). For us this was a good choice at a very good price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Missing one feature I just so happened to stumble into a Microsoft store and saw this monitor hooked up to an XBOX One. From the looks of it, I thought it was a very expensive minitor. The color is great and no matter what kind of device you connect to the HDMI ports, the picture will look great. My only gripe is that I was not aware this monitor has no Auxiliary port. If you hook up a video game system to this monitor, there will be no way to have sound. You will have to invest in a soundbar to connect the optical out cable to the PlayStation or XBOX. It’s a lot simpler if you’re hooking up a computer. You can use the sound from your laptop or hookup Bluetooth speakers to the computer. Other than that, the monitor is bright, vibrant, and large enough to split windows on.

It's size has really allowed me to work on multiple documents at the same time and have them at good size. The small frame around the screen really allows the screen to look larger than it really is. In summary, I love this monitor.

Although HP replaced my first one because it broke for no reason, they never even responded to my complaint of my second one breaking after doing nothing but sitting on a desk for a few months. It is garbage. Get any other brand.

I tried adjusting the colors, brightness, contrast, etc. It all just made it worse; I'm going to take it back tomorrow.

I like the low blue-light mode wherein you can reduce the harsh blue light from the screen. The screens are light and sleek. The stands are sturdy. However, there are some quirks. I have seen intense flickering on both screens when I started the computer. Agreed, it has happened only once, but it raised a red flag in my mind nevertheless. Then it occasionally shows nice little black box in lieu of the mouse cursor. It disappears after a while but not sure why it shows up to begin with. All these random happenings make me second-guess my purchase. The screens are glossy so please do account for certain degree of reflection if you are using black backgrounds. The price is fair for what the screen offers, but I truly have no idea about the quality of these monitors and how long these will last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Monitor Excellent monitor for the money. It replaced an old Gateway monitor that was much smaller than this HP 27. I use this monitor for normal use along with working from home when not in the office. It was easy to put together and is very light weight and slim. Some customers state that it moves easily but once again, the monitor is light weight so the monitor will move slightly as you are typing. If you have a sturdy desk, you probably will not have that issue. The plug ins are on the back side of the monitor, which is ok for me but others state it is a pain to hook up cords. Not a concern of mine. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Only issue was compatibility with my HP desktop computer- the VGA inputs were different on the computer and monitor. So I had to buy one additional cable to connect the two, but once that was done, I have been extremely satisfied since.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy design with great picture I purchased this to replace a monitor for my HP Pavilion desk top computer. The 27er blends perfectly with my computer. I love the classy silver base and the almost invisible black trim around the top and sides. The screen itself is unbelievably thin at about 3/8" or less, and that leads to an extremely lightweight design. The picture and color renditions are perfect and hook up was a breeze. The screen resolution is impressive and allows for reading even fine print easily and displays gorgeous pictures. The monitor has an internal menu that can be accessed by a menu button on the bottom of the screen to make any necessary adjustments. My only complaint and my reason for only four stars is that the monitor does not have speakers. Some people simply have no need for a space consuming, complex speaker system and would like to have a simple set of speakers suited to surfing the web and watching simple videos. I feel that a small set of internal speakers should be included for those customers. One other minor complaint is that there is no way to adjust the height of the monitor screen. It tilts, but does not raise or lower. It didn't really pose a problem for me, but for some it might. All in all though, it's a great monitor and I would recommend it to anyone.

There are no indications of a plus or minus button. It's big and bright as all get out but, there is no way to control the brightness. The main menu pops up but, you can't access it.

The colors are rich and the amount of real estate I have is spectacular. I love how my screen runs to the end giving me as much landscape as possible! Very thin screen, lightweight and great picture quality. Only bummer is that you can't raise or lower the height of the screen (but this was an easy fix by putting a ream of paper or large book underneath). Highly recommend - especially for these work from home days!

I'm very happy with the performance and quality of materials, the slim line of the screen and the thin bezel. I've been a HP customer forever, and always look for the brand name. Now I do have 3 HP 27er monitors on my desktop and I'm very pleased with how they look as they wrap around in front of me and most importantly how having three monitors helps me speed up my creative work. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit and Features Several weeks ago I purchased the 27ER monitor as a replacement for a smaller and older monitor. First the size was important because I wanted a larger monitor to fit it a small place. The fit was perfect. Second I needed two HDMI connections so I could use one monitor for two computers. The 27ER did not disappoint. Set up was easy and graphics are crisp and bright. Finally, the price fit my budget. Quality at a reasonable price.

I use almost all Mac products for work, so I wanted something to match the aesthetic without costing the same as my monthly mortgage. This monitor exceeds all expectations! I love the narrow edge, silver accents and most of all how thin it is! From the side it looks about the same width as my Macbook Pro, which works seamlessly with this monitor. Overall, I think this is a great quality monitor perfect for a minimalist style home office. I considered mounting this monitor at some point to match my gaming desk setup, but I can't because it's not VESA compatible. I'm not upset about this because the stand takes up so little desk space as is and I wasn't specifically looking for a mountable monitor when I purchased it. If you do plan to mount your monitor, this isn't for you. I would not recommend it for gaming due to is and not being able to adjust angles. Pros: - Aesthetically pleasing - Very thin, but sturdy - Great resolution, expected if not exceeded for this price point - 2 HDMI ports - Easy setup - Quick shipping (~3 business days) **It did ship in the HP monitor box, so anyone walking by could see my purchase. Be sure to monitor (pun intended) your tracking notifications so you bring it inside ASAP. Cons: - Not VESA compatible for mounting - Only able to adjust up/down angle rather than horizontal angle

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good and affordable Purchased this monitor as an upgrade to a HP Envy computer. Tested the monitor with my laptop. The HP computer could not connect to the monitor due to a problem with the tower HDMI port. Was able to get a return label to return the tower. Now trying to return the monitor as I already purchased another HP computer (bundle) locally. I can understand any electronic having a problem. What is inexcusable is the poor HP customer service when you reach them for assistance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WELL WORTH OWNING I purchased this 27-inch HP monitor at Best Buy two months ago to replace a 25-inch item. This screen is large enough to enable me to do a lot of writing and picture-saving without eye strain. The clarity is outstanding! The size fits my medium size computer desk. The stand is a metal rectangle with an empty space in the center...perfect for keeping 'trapped' such small items as a pen, a flash drive, etc. The screen controls are located beneath the bottom right side of the frame, easy to get to but not at all easy to decipher. They'd be much more helpful if placed on the front of the frame. The screen is 14" from outside top of the frame to the bottom edge, offering a lot more viewing space than what I call 'skinny frames' that are wide and 'narrow' or 12.5 inches from top to bottom. The outside frame is little more than 1/4 inch wide, allowing for maximum screen display. This HP monitor is so large and well-designed that we bought two...one for my wife and one for me. You cannot go wrong with this.

I have a friend who bought the same monitor and she's having the same problems. I'm returning the monitor and computer today and buying another brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two years old and having trouble. This monitor was purchased two years ago, February 2018. A slight flicker was noticed in the center of the screen, about a 2 x 3 square portion of the monitor. It is very distracting! It's unfortunate this happened and there is really nothing we can do about it. We will not be buying this series of HP monitor again and would not recommend for everyday use. Also, this monitor sat as a spare for several months without being used so had it been used consistently, the issue might have occurred sooner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Level Desk, Crooked Monitors Purchased 2 of the same monitors, expecting the monitor bezels and frames to align when placed next to each other on a level surface. Can't think of any other reasons there is about 1/8" in height difference between two of the same monitors. If only a decent amount of QC went into the one thing that is supporting the monitor (i.e., the stand), I wouldn't be considering sending these back at time when I need them most. Call it perfectionism, but this issue for me is prominent, given the monitors' size and the fact that they are brand new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor at a great price I bought this monitor for my daughter for her MacBook Pro three years ago when she was entering her senior year as a graphic design BFA major. It has worked flawlessly since then and has been an excellent extension enabling her to work on a much wider screen. The only shortcomings are that there’s no built in camera nor are there any built in speakers. But for just over $200 you get a great 27-in monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks nice from the right angles Big size upgrade from my (qty. 2) 22" HP 2207h monitors I've had for 13 years. Bought 2 of these for a side by side set up, unfortunately because there is no adjustable rotation with the stands, and with the stands not being perfectly square there is a unsightly angled gap between the two monitors. Had to put a piece of tape on the black side of them to correct this issue. Also one monitor has heavy bleed through of LED light on the left side. Watching anything with black on the screen really shows it. They will get the job done, but my 13 year old monitors seem to have more of a feature-set and higher build quality then these. I'd be surprised if I get 13 years (probably more like 3 years) out of these two. I've always been an HP buyer, but these monitors are giving me pause.

The strain it has taken off of my neck and eyes is a great relief. We use only HP products , which makes connecting, servicing, care and getting advice directly from HP much easier.

I appreciate its size as I grow older and find some things not as easy to see as they once were. This monitor was super-easy to set up --- just plugged it into my new tower computer and away it went. The images are very sharp and clear. I highly recommend this monitor based on my experience!

These 3 monitors are the best I have ever used, clear, sharp, and a great size to facilitate designing. As an added bonus, these monitors have been the closest to true color I have ever used as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Came defective The monitor had a defect in the screen. When I called they asked for a picture to be emailed to them. I then get an email that I have call technical support. After going around and around on a chat they said a return shipping label will be sent to me. When I got the return label it came in a box for me to return the monitor but, I was not to return the base, power supply or any of the cords. The monitor was defective right out of the box but, this procedure tells me I will not be getting a new monitor but a repaired one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from connection issues I bought a Z2 small form factor workstation and a 27er monitor. The Z2 output is Display Port. The 27er takes HDMI. I had to buy an adapter, which no one in my area stocks. So I had to spend another $25, and have to wait another 5-7 days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, but left side is 1/2 inch lower than right I bought 2 identical 27-inch monitors so they would seamlessly join together to make a long flowing dual monitor. However, placed side-by-side, the left monitor's right side was higher than the right monitor's left side. After rearranging monitors with same issue, I measured the height's of the left side and right sides. The left side was 1/2 inch lower than the right side, and yet this was not just on one monitor but both monitors. I suppose someone who buys just one monitor may not perceive the issue, but it was blaring when two monitors were placed side by side, both of which had the same defect. To resolve my issue (instead of going through a hassle of returning monitors and possibly getting other monitors with the same defect), I pressed down on the higher right side to try to bend the metal & connector to achieve a perfectly level top, on both monitors. I hoped I would not break something in the process, since this is not a normal way to move the monitor. Since both monitors are now close to being level and look good side-by-side, I give this monitor 4 stars, as the monitor itself displays well.
