Overview: Olli Retail turns your iPod Touch into a handheld optical barcode and magnetic stripe card reader, designed and optimized for business and point-of-sale. It comes ready to set up and use with selected apps and encrypted payment gateways. Olli Retail also serves as a protective case, with its own internal user replaceable lithium-ion battery.
Scan: Reads all major 1D and 2D barcodes. Readable barcodes include the following: Aztec, Composite, Datamatrix, QR code, Micro QR code, MaxiCode, PDF417, MicroPDF417, TLC-39, US Planet, US PostNet, UK Postal, Australian Postal, Dutch Postal (KIX), Japan Postal, and more.
Swipe: TDES encryption with DUKPT key management. Built-in security for credit cards, with encryption applied at the earliest point in the transaction process. Olli can come as an encrypted or unencrypted device.
Protection: Serves as a protective case during use. Record barcode data from merchandise, and complete the payment transaction, all in one handheld device and has been drop tested (4ft (multiple drops). Comes with AC charger, wrist strap and easy setup training app.
QA & Testing:
Tested for Durability.The Griffin Quality Assurance team imparts several layers of inspection from the production line, outgoing Quality Control, and incoming device verification. These visual and physical checks are intended to keep quality high, mitigate device failure in the field and eliminate returns. The QA specifications used by Griffin are a combination of American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO), as well as various in-house programs that fall outside these organizations. This triangulation of information and standards gives us the benefit of working with established methods while developing standards that can extend to products that don’t fall under pre-existing guidelines.
