This is exactly what I'm experiencing with Ergotron! I have to shift the elevation of the monitor when I move from sitting to standing at my lifting desk, and this stand works well. The monitor adjusts easily and then stays where I put it. No wobble or uneasiness about the motions.

The mobility of the LX desk arm really allows for an easy set up and putting away for having a second monitor. The quality is definitely nice too, very sturdy and well built.

I've always been a fan of buying the more sturdy option for peace of mind and longevity, and I'm very happy with my decision. Although the price definitely isn't cheap, the arm feels very sturdy and I'm sure it will last quite a long time and be solid while doing it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Sturdy I debated between buying a $30 monitor arm on Amazon and this arm, and, although I never bought one of the cheap monitor arms and therefore won't be able to make a direct comparison, I doubt they're anywhere near as sturdy as this one. I've always been a fan of buying the long lasting option even at a higher price point just for peace of mind, and this arm definitely exceeds my expectations!

My husband surprised me with an additional large pen display tablet and the combination of having two (not as great) monitor arms plus a display stand on my desk was far too cluttered. I went ahead and bought this Ergotron for the pen display and it is SO nice. I can move my pen display to just the right angle and height for drawing comfort and ease and then tuck it out of the way when not in use. Very easy and smooth movement of this monitor arm, that also stays put when weight-bearing. I'm going to be replacing my other monitor arms with Ergotron ones here shortly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent product, poor support. The arm itself is fine, the desk mount is the problem. The c shaped clamp it comes with is only 1 exact thickness for desk with no adjustment. I thought hey, Ill just buy the adjustable clamp instead after attempting to install it it not fitting. But turns out ergotron does not sell the 2 piece clamp at all. So after tons of back and forth, I will either need to return the arms, or have arms that do not fit the table.. service also seems to be lacking..

I read many reviews on Amazon and elsewhere where folks complained about the Arm not holding their Monitor in place, or about not being able to adjust the tension properly, so I was a bit apprehensive about the purchase. I'm old, disabled, don't move all that well and have a helluva time if I have to move my desk away from the wall, or get down on the floor and deal with PC wires....but installing this Monitor Arm was a "piece of cake", simple, straightforward, and I have absolutely no problem with the monitor not staying exactly where I put it. The instructions were OK, but I found a video on Utube which clarified everything...but I found a slew of others which were a total waste of time. I do not use the Arm to stand while I work, and the Monitor is a 32" Samsung which if I recall, weighs around 13 pounds. The Arm is "pricey", but well worth the expense if you spend a lot of time in front of your Monitor. Oh...another plus, it freed-up desk space which had been in short supply.

I made several attempts to purchase this item from their website and could never get the order to process. No one was able to assist me. Eventually, I found an ecommerce link on their facebook page and was able to place my order. The product is fantastic, the support and responsiveness was laughable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Defective product, customer service is useless I purchased one of these arms over a year ago for my home office and it works fantastically for my Wacom. I felt the need to buy 2 more for my employees as I felt confident that they would work well for their intended purpose. Unfortunately I was wrong. 1 out of the 2 works. When I attempted to submit a return or exchange both sets of customer service agents would not listen to my concerns and kept repeating that this was user error. I don't understand how that is the case when the arm is working just fine for my other two monitors. I'm out $190 as the customer service agents will not help me. And my employee has been without an arm for over a month while this issue has been going on. Thankfully I found a different arm brand that works just the same. I highly recommend going to a place that offers easier returns or exchanges as this company blames the consumer for errors instead of admitting their product is faulty. I will be contacting my credit card issuer to see about getting my money back.

It is stable, more than enough to resist the pressure of drawing, and easy to adjust with minimal shaking (that's physics, though). I highly recommended the LX, especially for the price.

The arm kept flying up at me when I’d remove my laptop. I have it working much better now, but it took some tinkering to get it functioning properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy "tall" version for a standing desk unless you're 5" (152cm) or less I'm not tall. I'm 5'7" on an optimistic day. I bought this to use with a standing desk. Seeing options between a "tall" pole version and this "normal" version I thought "no way I'd need the tall size. I'm in the 25th percentile for height among U.S. adult men. I must be the regular size." I read the descriptions of the product and nothing indicated otherwise. Turns out I'm wrong and according to Ergotron I'm a towering giant in need of a tall pole. While this crafty attempt to boost my ego is appreciated (I need all the boosts I can get...especially when it comes to reaching things on high shelves), the misleading labels and marketing copy around this product sucks. Returning products and/or paying more for "tall" features that should be "normal" features is aggravating. Hopefully, you're not like me. Either you're actually tall and wouldn't think twice about buying a product specifically for your kind or you're short and learn from my mistakes. Otherwise, the product is just fine. Shipped on time, delivered in good condition, easy-enough installation, seems to do what it says on the label, supports my 27" monitor right around chin-height no problem.

This clamps onto my desk holds them perfectly when I want them moved I just pull on them they're going to position I never have to worry about it. That's exactly what I wanted I wanted sturdy arms that did their job that I never had to worry about. Don't skimp out on the arms. Just get these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best monitor arm I could find! Loving the LX arm I got, it actually supports my giant Acer XB321HK monitor that NO OTHER ARM can support. Not gonna lie this thing is a beast at a whopping 32" but the arm actually holds in place once you tighten it down. One gripe, because nothing is perfect, the arm does shake when anything bumps the desk . Fixed this issue by buying another 27" monitor to support the 32" one. Beware if you are only supporting one large monitor, it does shake when bumped or spiritedly typing. Overall, 4.5 stars because the monitor arm isn't as stable as I would like it. That being said, this is the most premium monitor arm on the market, and I will be purchasing my 2nd Ergotron arm soon. 100% would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money. Good range of motion. I tried a similar $110 arm before this. This one was sturdier and has a much better range of motion. An unexpected pro is that the monitor can dip a little below the desk it is attached to. An unexpected con is that the forward and back tilt will only tilt it down 5 degrees. Also the forward and down tilt is very stiff at least for my monitor. I have a lightish 27 inch monitor and tilting it down with the tension all the way loosened is still a chore. It might loosen a bit over time but I don't know yet. Still worth a 5 star rating though.

Was able to mount my Cintiq monitor (21 UX, second gen), which is extremely heavy and bulky by today's standards, and it's been holding up really well so far!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing. No regrets. Some people say that a certain large online retailer that shares a name with a river sells a perfectly comparable monitor arm to this Ergotron. They are wrong. Or they don’t have a large enough monitor. This supports my 32” LG 32UD99-W perfectly, with only minimal tuning required whereas the previous arms I bought all failed spectacularly. This arm is finished superbly, high-quality, and solid. Everything functions as promised. Zero complaints here. I will be buying more Ergotron arms in the future without a doubt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best, most premium monitor mount Out of the box, this monitor arm has very premium feel. It's heavy and sturdy enough to handle monitors much heavier than mine. I have a BenQ 24 inch and it handles it very well. This mount allows me to de-clutter my workspace even more for minimalist appearance. I have a standing desk that carries slightest wobble to the monitor during heavy typing but it isn't a deal breaker. I plan on getting a laptop mount to experiment with dual display set up. My only wish is that I had thought of dual arm mount sooner.

Easy to put together and holds the pen display in whatever position I want, great for sitting or standing, tilts smoothly and holds up under pressure, what more could I ask for?

Originally wanted to get a cheap mono-post dual arm for my set up but as I researched I realized I had a bunch of variables that needed addressed in order for it to work. Naturally the price kept going up and up as I checked those boxes off. At the end of the day after contacting multiple companies this was the only one that had the solutions I required. It cost me a pretty penny because I needed two of everything including the “special “-”special” low profile clamps just to mount my screens but they seem heavy duty and of high quality and will probably be the only ones I ever need to purchase again

With two large computer monitors on my desk, I needed a flexible option to be able to view both and still be able to talk with clients from across my desk. The LX Desk Monitor Arms allow me that freedom. I can keep both monitors in front of me while I work, or when I am meeting with clients or coworkers, I can move them out of the way. It is also nice to be able to display information on one of my screens, at an angle that is engaging to both me and my clients. I have been impressed with how the cables tuck neatly away, and there is virtually no clutter on my desk. I wish that I had purchased these sooner!

Only ding on the star rating is that I bought a second monitor arm from Amazon basics for about $100 in mid January 2022, and that turned out to be a rebranded Ergotron LX- one of the mounting plates even had Ergotron patent info on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Monitor Arm For My 34 inch Samsung Oled I needed a monitor arm for my 34 inch Samsung G8 oled (ref# LS34BG850SNXZA). The LX is perfect for it. The quality is superb, and I can swivel the arm 360 degrees when I’m no longer behind my desk but want to watch movies from my sofa. There is absolutely no sagging. The arm comes stiff but so long as you use the adjustment keys that come with the LX, you can find the perfect level of resistance for your setup and it’s smooth. Overall, very satisfied.

But watch out for the low profile clamp and different sizes of desk I'm using this for work stuff, but then also light sim racing, so I frequently move the monitor from its normal position at the back of the desk to the front just behind the steering wheel. The arm moves very smoothly and stays right where I put it, which is great because the wheel has force feedback and shakes the desk some. My only quibble, and the reason for 4 stars, is that it's hidden in the details that you have to get a different size clamp for different thicknesses of desk; there's no drop-down for the different sizes of clamp when purchasing, that information is only available about 5 paragraphs into the tech specs. Fortunately, my desk was only a little too thin for the default size, so I was able to make up for it with a few folded sheets of paper. There seems to be no impact to the stability.
