Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Photo Printer! The Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer is capable of printing photos of a quality high enough for me to hang on my walls. Setup: The printer was an easy setup thanks to thorough instructions which I followed to the letter. There are six different ink cartridges that are really easy to install, which account for the nice vibrant colors reproduced on the output. I used a wireless connection and also setup the printer for Epson's remote printing utility via Android. That works great, too, though I'm less likely to remotely print photos. Output: My tests involved scanning high quality photographs at 1200 dpi and sending them to print at the highest quality settings on the XP-15000. I used a Agfa 8x Printer's Loupe to examine the output vs. the original photo. To say that I was impressed is an understatement. Colors were vivid and accuracy was almost down to the ink drop. The vivid colors were a bit like the old Fujifilm vs. Kodak variety, though a little less so and definitely not unpleasant. I'm hanging all the output on the walls. Conclusion: This is a high quality photo printer for users whom like to control the printing of their subject matter in their very own environment. The ability to print wide-format is a real plus, too. Tip: Don't mix glossy paper with other thinner papers. The glossy paper may cause a double feed. Load only one type of paper in the cartridge at a time. This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wanted to love I’ve always wanted to try a photo printer as I’ve never owned one before. I currently own an Epson printer/scanner and absolutely love it. As for the unboxing and set up of this product, it’s fairly straight forward and easy. The printer is larger in size, but I love that it has multiple feed options. There is also a feature to print cd covers. This product also includes a sampler pack of different photo papers and sizes so you can figure out which products work for you! The front screen offers all of the settings you need and even helps you troubleshoot based on any issues with the print. That being said, I had so many issues with this product. I originally got the product set up and the test sheet printed. I went back to use the printer a few days later and nothing would print. I used the various troubleshooting options on the printer itself and checked the online manual. After finally getting the printer to actually print, every image printed had some time of color issue, from stripes to basically negatives of the original image. I experimented with different images that had different color palettes and each had a different result, but none were good. I feel with some direct guidance from the company, this printer could be great. It definitely has so many capabilities, is user friendly, and Epson is my go to brand. I plan on doing some more troubleshooting with this printer to see if I can solve the issues myself. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Printer for Photographer This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer. This has been most sophisticated and interesting Inkjet/Photo Printer that I have used so far (also my first Epson). The printer comes with following: 1. six ink cartridges (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Gray, Red) and you will need all of it to use its color printing features. 2. Cleaning sheet ( I did not have to use it) 3. Power Cord 4. CD-ROM for drivers (didn't have to use it) and whole set of instructions. While the printer does come assembled (you have to install Ink cartridges), it has several packaging tapes that need to be identified and carefully removed. Even after removing all visible tapes, I was unsure if I got them all. To remove few tapes, I had to remove rear feed tray as well as paper cassette. It would be helpful if a small guide is provided on how to remove these tapes. Starting printer for the first time takes about five minutes after power on - as it is initializing the software and then starts printer calibration steps. I wonder if Epson should offer printer pre-initialized and make printer calibration optional (as I didn't really have to do any changes to calibration). I did run into one other issue with initial setup. While trying to print calibration sheet - the paper jammed in the drum. In place of just "halting" print, printer kept on trying to push paper into its mechanism making very loud noises (possibly due to grinding of gear). My initial thought was that either I did not remove one of the packaging tape or I may have fixed some of the trays incorrectly (after removing tapes). After removing and adding it all back - it was all good. I was able to print my calibration sheet. (printer's LCD will show you steps that you may have to perform to remove paper jam). I was able to add printer to my wireless network in seconds. I chose to use UI and capture passwords in place of using WPS. As soon as it was able to connect to Internet, it identified a newer firmware and asked if I want to update it. It is nice to not have to be on a computer to update printer software. I use an android phone and the printer showed up in my phone as a printer (as both phone and printer were on same WIFI network). Also on my Windows 10 laptop, the printer showed up automatically. Since this printer is Google Cloud Print compatible I was able to add to my Google account as a printer (it errored on the Google website, but when I refreshed, it showed up as added - mostly Google website issue). I chose to print a certificate for a student that included a mix of color and BW text. it took barely 2-3 seconds to complete the print (very low amount of text on the certificate - but plenty of the border). The printer is quick that way. When you print - an output tray comes out from the front of the printer (motorized). You should be careful and not keep a coffee cup there. You can use a button on the printer to retract the output tray when you do not need it. Few other nice touches: * Printer shows ink level for each of the six types * The front panel can be lifted for readability. Overall: It is a low profile printer. Unlike some of the bigger printers I have used, this is only 6.3 inch tall and if you are okay to use regular paper tray (without rear feed). It offers some of the best networking options such as WIFI Direct or regular WIFI. You can also use Ethernet to connect if required. The printer also supports Google Cloud Print and other options. Its ability to print on card and specialty media along with wide format support should be a good piece of equipment for anyone printing photographs and related material. It does not have is memory card slot (to read pictures) - and expects user to use a computer or a phone or tablet to issue printer. It also does not have any other functions (such as scanner) and may require user to invest into those separately (or use Phone or Tablet to perform those tasks). Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Printer I have tested numerous products the past few years and it’s very difficult for me to give a 5 star rating. The Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer actually deserves 5 stars. As an avid photographer I take a multitude of pictures in a variety of settings. I was excited to try this printer to see how well it would stack up against other color printers I’ve used. As long as you use a high-quality glossy paper the photos are crisp, vibrant and colorful. I actually used this printer to print a few of my photos that I framed and hung in my living room! The printer is very easy to set up and use. It accepts a variety of paper sizes which is nice. The mobile printing capability works well as I was able to print a few photos directly from my phone. While the printer is designed for photos it can be used to print virtually anything on accepted print media. The size of the printer isn’t bulky and would fit on most desks or on a small table. I tested the majority of the printer’s features and everything worked as described. To give an honest review I also have to mention a few things I think could be better. I think the printer is fantastic so I’m nit-picking to some degree. I wish this printer utilized Epson’s EcoTank ink replacement. I’m not a fan of ink cartridges. The printers with EcoTank eliminate cartridges which is a huge benefit in my opinion. I also wished they moved the power button farther to the left which would allow for a larger LCD screen. The ease of use and quality of printing makes the Photo HD XP 15000 a winner in my opinion. I definitely recommend it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson XP-15000 I have never used a large format printer before, so I was really excited to try out this new capability. I have a great camera that takes professional photos, but have to rely on different stores to get large professional prints. I think this printer is probably the most straight forward, easy to set up printer I have installed. There are thorough instructions, but honestly, the process is pretty intuitive. After unboxing this thing, you will be printing in no time. I definitely wouldn't consider this thing compact, but considering the size it prints, that's to be expected. It is a very wide printer, but still manages to look sleek and modern. The LCD screen is really small, but manages to get the job done. The screen is 2.4 inches, which just seems small on such a large device. It is not touch screen, but it is easy enough to navigate. It connects to WIFI effortlessly and I never had an issue with it dropping the connection. The printer does a great job printing at all sizes. I thought quality wise it was top notch. I used it to print a really large "WANTED" poster for my sons cowboy birthday party. It looks like I had it printed professionally. The printer itself is quick but fairly loud. I noticed that it has a quiet mode- which is a cool feature. It is slower when printing quiet, but there is a noticeable difference in noise. Aside from printing photos of various sizes it can handle documents easily. The only other thing that would have been nice is if they had included some larger sized paper in the sample media pack. Since the large format printing is such a selling point it would have been neat to have had the sample media pack tailored to that. “This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing beats dye! I have been a user of Epson printers for years. When in comes to photo printers you have basically two choices when it comes to inks today -- Dyes or Pigments. With Epsons (today) this comes down to the Claria HD (6-color dye) and the Ultrachrome HD (9-color) pigment ink sets. Dyes LOOK BETTER. Pigments LASTS LONGER. Now, many professions get stuck with the idea that pigments are required for a professional print but that's nonsense. I have dye prints from 15 years ago that haven't faded so for most intents and purposes it's long lasting enough. Dyes simply gives better pastels and skin tones. Pigment printers have a big problem with subtle shades; that is partly why they have Black, Light Black and Light-Light Black to try to deal with this. The XP-15000 is fantastic. The XP-15000 is the successor to the Stylus Photo 1400 which was itself the successor to the classic 1200-series of dye based Epson 13x19 printers. I have owned each generation of these alongside their Pigment based counterparts in form of the P600 and R1800. The dyes always make better prints. If you have to own ONE printer, I'll say own a dye printer. It is too bad you cannot get an el cheapo Artisan 50, or something like that, anymore which is just as good if you don't need the width. Dye printers simply make better looking prints which lasts... well... long enough. For that wedding portrait that need to last 50 years on a wall, go to a professional printing house -- you are going to have to in order to get it in the wall hanging sizes and textured media you really want anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very disappointing Ive had only Epson printers, always easy to set-up, but the XP-15000 interface/UI is nothing but frustration. Trying to rid myself of error message #031006, trying to print a DVD, so far not worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Picture Quality As I continue to take more and more pictures with my phone, there have been numerous pictures that have turned out spectacular that I’ve been wanting to print. They show really well when I share them on social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram. I’ve been looking to expand my new found hobby and be able to produce some high quality prints that I can give out to friends or have framed. In comes the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format printer. This printer does not disappoint. Spec wise, the HD XP-15000 produces high-quality, borderless prints up to 13" x 19", has 6 color photo HD inks (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Red, Gray), a large, 50-sheet rear specialty tray, 2-sided printing, a 200-sheet front tray, supports wireless connectivity, and has a relatively small footprint compared to other wide-format printers. The printer supports different media, from plain paper to cardstock. The printer includes standard ink cartridges that yield 500 pages for the black cartridge and 830 pages for the color cartridges. Installation of the printer was simple. Configuration and setup was easy using the Epson printer app found in the app store. The printer even comes was a good sampling of different photo paper for you to use. In my experience with Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format printer, the time it took to get the printer out of the box to printing my first photo was 30 minutes. The quality of the prints were spectacular. The printer was able to produce amazing prints in both color and black and white. The addition of a red ink cartridge produced vibrant color photos. The addition of a gray ink produced stunning grayscale images and wonderful gradation. All the grayscale and full-color images that were produced by the HDP XP-15000 looked and turned out incredible. If you are looking to expand your photo hobby, just want to produce some high quality prints from pictures that you have taken, or even need to print out some documents, check out the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format printer. It’s an amazing printer. I’m still in awe at the high quality photos it produces. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dream Printer! Wonderful, just wonderful. I bought a Six Ink Epson printer a few years back and held up just fine. Photo prints that still look perfect years later. I got a new Six Ink printer, this XP 15000. To no surprise it too is wonderful. You can't tell that it was a print. I can take a print job and run it under piping hot water and the paper will fall apart before the emulsion and color will. What ever magic they use is solid and will be great for archives. TEN STARTS. Love you Epson.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It looks like it will be a great printer I have been trying to set this printer up for 3 days not. I can't get the black streaks from down the right side of the pages and I can not get the letters to line up. All this after a full day of constant paper jams. After watching the paper feed through by taking the back of the machine off, I saw the part that was stopping the paper from feeding and put a piece of tape on it. Now the paper feeds without jamming, but still black streaks and the letters don't line up. If I keep doing tests, I will run out of ink, which I have ordered, but is backordered, or delayed and because of the current conditions. If I could I world take the printer back to Best Buy and ask for a new one, but we are quarantined, so I can't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection In Large Format The first printer I received did not work. I assume it failed mechanically because of internal misalignment cause by rough handling during shipment. The second printer worked absolutely beautiful. The large format (13x19) result was astounding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so wonderful I have just finished installing my new Epson Expression Photo HS XP-1500 wide-format printer. I have not yet printed out any photos yet, but when hope to be back again. I am really excited about using this printer since I've used Epson printers in my work before and they have all been of the highest quality. The only thing i did not check out is when one ink runs out can you still print in black, but I just assume that like other Epsons I've owned you probably cannot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Epson HD XP-15000 I print positives on transparency film. The HD XP-15000 doesn't recognize the film, I have to stick a paper backing, for it to print. Wasted lots of film, finding this out. I wish I could get my Epson 1430 fixed, that printer was the bomb..This one is to much work ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Average printer. In our opinion, this printer burns through ink like water through a faucet, especially the initial cartridges; however, the replacement cartridges are not as expensive as other brands. The quality (precision) also isn't as sharp as we expected; the letters often look blurry. We had higher expectations. Lastly, the printer doesn't seem "solid," it seems flimsy and fragile compared to other printers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Prints. Lots'a ink. As an professional architectural photographer, I often provide clients with large 13x19 prints, suitable for hanging/display. This Epson really delivers in reproductive quality, no complaints. Unfortunately, the turn-over rate of the ink cartridges is extreme -- and expensive. Good news/bad news.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, Almost PRO Printer My prior printer was a Canon 9500 Mark 2 with ten inks. I could download ICC profiles for multiple papers, including Ilford Gold Fibre Silk as well as Museo papers. Paper loading of large format paper was always a pain but the quality of pigment based inks was excellent. Fast forward ten years. Canon no longer supports software updates as of 2017 so my printer is now a paperweight. Read good reviews on the Epson wide format printer as I print 13x19 for photography exclusively. Setup was easy. The printer is smaller which is good but a lot lighter, so maybe not perfect for heavy duty use. I am a light user so no problem. I could not download any ICC profiles for the papers I use but some companies do have profiles. The new 6 ink setup is not pigment but dye based, yet has excellent durability, so it will be less expensive to run. The colours, using the printer to choose colour, rather than ICC's, worked out perfectly. Screen and print were very close. Note that my screen is calibrated. Feeding large format paper is a snap and there were no print issues. Overall, I am very impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is horrible I bought this printer because I heard great things about it. Well not so much . It will not print more than an 8x10 for me and it is streaky and not good quality prints. It will be going back to the store tomorrow. I am having a hard time getting the WiFi to work . Not worth the hassle to use .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Edison Sucks It’s a horrible printer I have already submitted my review Nd you have chosen not to display it. It’s a rotten printer; consistently fails when you change it. Epson knows it’s a bad printer and all of us are stuck with it! They refuse to give me my money back and when the first one fails they send you a used printer. They are horrible!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good and Bad I bought this to replace my Epson Artisan 1430. On the positive side so far it appears to feed card stock better than the 1430. On the down side I much preferred the simplicity of the 1430 with just the top feeder and no bottom feed. In all cases the newer Epson models have internal computers which make it far more difficult to feed and print custom sizes of paper. I spend a lot of extra time having to figure out how to over-ride the internal setting so it will do what I need it to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer, quality is amazing on good photo paper! I bought this printer about four months ago and am very impressed with the quality. I bought the XL cartridges with it, but was actually able to get a fair number of prints out of the little service cartidges it came with. The prints come out just as nice, if not nicer, than prints done up at Walmart for example. It does print quite dark though, so for my artwork I found I had to brighten up (lighten) my artwork a fair bit, and desaturate a bit as well in order to get the perfect print out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality I've had this printer for about a month and it prints high quality photos. So far, I've only used plain paper so far. Come prepared with patience as it's not a speedy one. It takes about 45 seconds for a full color page. Black and white is much speedier. Looking forward to printing on photo paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific Product Bought this just before Christmas and set it up over the holidays. Running it with a PC with Windows 7 Pro exclusively for photography. Set took quite a while but it did all of the work and all I had to do was supervise. Contrary to some reviews that I have read it took very little ink to set up and now that I have done a moderate amount of photo printing there is still more than half of all cartridges remaining. Photos are even better than my old epson R1800. Just have to remember to put paper in the front feed good side down...only time I got a bad photo was when I loaded the paper upside down. Also make sure to turn off the printers colour control if you use software with specific colour profiles that you don't want the printer to interfere with. Only time will tell if the print head dries up after any significant down time, this is the reason I replaced the R1800 (pigment based ink) with a dye based ink machine. So far very pleased with this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not the Epson I expected Read the reviews, evaluated our usage and thought this might work as a light duty replacement for our 15 year old Artisan 1430. The overall feel is cheap. The paper tray is flimsy, the paper feed turn around is flimsy - the latchs are plastic and did not operate smoothly. The "automatic paper catch tray" is a very inconvenient "convenience". It will automatically extend [except when it doesn't - which in this case was usually] - in case of error, you can bypass the error but why? The print quality [oh yes, I am very stubborn and I did get to a print], was washed out and chalky. I aligned the print heads [on a new printer] and it helped somewhat but the quality was still not what I needed - even for light usage. We don't print heavy runs, but when we do, we print archival quality. This unit did not measure up. I returned it the next day. Sadly, I cannot get back the 8 hours of my life wasted on trying to bring it up to standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Own two I'd like to sell I've used Epson printers for years. I've always thought them to be the best. When my wife and I needed new printers (we both use wide format) I was excited to buy Epson's newest XP-15000. They lose settings, use ink faster than I thought possible, and continually prove unreliable. If it were just one printer I would not complain, it's both printers! Worst printer I have ever had. Buy something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great print quality but uses ink quickly I love this printer. I recently got back into photography and got a sweet lens to focus on macro photography. In order to get the most out of my highly saturated macro images, I wanted a printer that covered the Adobe RGB colour space. I also something that printed larger than the standard 8x10 or 8.5x11 because I want to eventually output some of my work in 13x19 format to display in my home. This printer checked off all my requirements at a quite reasonable price for a near professional printer. Pros: - Excellent reproduction of highly saturated greens in a macro photo I took of water droplets on a green leaf (see photo) - Extremely accurate colour reproduction when compared to my colour calibrated monitor - Seamless connectivity to my computer through our home's Wi-Fi network - Neat ease of use features like the multi-angle control panel and automatic paper output tray Cons: - The some ink colours seem to run out quite quickly. I haven't done a whole lot of printing (roughly 20 prints, almost all 4x6 or 5x7) yet the printer software indicates some of the ink cartridges have already depleted half of their ink supply - It is difficult to find Epson photo paper specifically for this printer and it doesn't come with ICC profiles for other paper brands. - Near impossible to 13x19 paper in batches smaller than 20 and the largest selection seems to be in 50-sheet packages (too paper for me as a hobbyist photographer and too high a cost). It was the finally piece of the puzz

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality printer This is a pretty good machine. It basically does what I need it to do and isn't complicated to use. The fine art prints that I make look beautiful as long as they are printed on the right paper. That being said, there are only two kinds of paper that I can print my Art prints on, which was a little disappointing. I had been hoping to be able to use many different types of paper to print with but there is a limit to the paper profiles that this printer seems able to recognize. The prints I have made are gorgeous so I'm still pretty happy. Overall a good product for a good price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good photo printer I run a small family owned business. We rely on pictures to be able to sell. With that being said it was getting really expensive to keep going back to the print shop every week. I have been looking at printers on and off for a while not knowing which one to get. The thing is this is an investment for my business and I want something that will last. So obviously I ended up getting this one. This is 24lbs. I thought that this was going to be a huge printer due to the weight but its actually really desk friendly! It doesn’t have a scanner to it or fax-its strictly a photo printer so if you need those features, this isnt for you. The setup for the printer took me roughly 10 minutes. It does come with the hardware disk for you to pop in and set up with no problems. The first few days it would pop up asking me to do updates on it so just be ready for that. Something that I noticed about it that had me a little worried were all printer cartridges it has with it. There is one for every color. The reason why I was worried was cause I was afraid that they were going to be pricey but the range from $11-$15 dollars a piece depending where you buy them at. The only con I can see is if you use one color more than another color you will be replacing it alot faster so your ink levels wont all be ran the same. So how well does it print? I did a print comparsion for yall to see. I am happy with the quality. One thing that I did notice is that it dries super quick. Problems that I have had in the past is that when a print comes out its still wet so it smears. With this the moment it comes out it its dry so no smearing. The pixels on the print arent exactly like a print shop but for it being a home printer, its pretty good. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed so far. This machine replaces an Epson 1280 photo printer that cost 3 times as much. It is a very good value for the purchase price. I was really pleased with the 1280 and hope this one will not disappoint. Have not yet printed on 13 x 19 velvet fine art paper and will have a better assessment as far as ink consumption goes once I print one. The printouts are great on the 8.5 x 11 five star matte paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use, High Quality Prints The Epson XP-15000 photo printer comes in a 23” x 17” x 9” box, larger than what I had imagined. It’s easy to set up with a step-by-step instruction booklet which included links to the site to download software to connect the printer. I have an Android and it was very easy to download the app necessary to print from my mobile device. It was easy to install ink cartridges (included) and load paper. With 2 different loading zones (cassette and rear), it was confusing which one to use for what types of paper. This was never clarified so I ended up just putting paper in one of them and waited to see if it errored. The photo printer has an adjustable screen that can tilt up which is great if you have it placed lower than eye level. The buttons are very user friendly and easy to press. The cassette (bottom paper loading zone) has a large capacity holding up to printer paper sized pages (8.5” x 11”). The rear loading zone isn’t as large but can hold larger papers. When you go to load new paper in, you can specify the type of paper so that the printer can adjust the colors, dry time, etc. making it easily customizable. The print tray (where printed pages exit) automatically ejects prior to printing and with a little push, it pulls back in giving it a very fancy feel. During printing, it is slightly louder than most other printers but comes with a “quiet” setting that helps with the noise but slows down the printing (not to a noticeable degree). However, the overall speed is not up to par with my expectations. It’s supposed to help with allowing the ink to dry but still took a while compared to other printers that I have used. A few of times when I was printing from my phone, the printing would stall randomly and a couple times, it just cancelled the print after being stalled for over 5 minutes. Most of the time, this did not happen but was inconvenient when it did. I would highly recommend getting photo paper if you are printing pictures because there is a visible difference in the color vibrancy. Using regular printer paper is fine if it is for documents but results in duller colors than photo specific paper. If you don’t want a glossy finish, Epson also offers matte paper which I absolutely love because you don’t have to worry about any glare off of the picture. I did notice that it took a minute after printing for the colors to set in. Overall, I would suggest getting some type of sample media pack so that you can figure out your preferences for printing. The quality of the pictures was much better than I expected. If you print pictures often or want high quality prints, I would highly recommend this one. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! What a printer. My old wide printer, also an Epson, was great but after eight years, it was time for a change. The XP-15000 arrived in short order and was a breeze to unpack and install. Out of the box in a jiffy, tape removed, software downloaded and installed and powered on, the connection for wi-fi was done and I was printing in just a few minutes. The quality and ease of set-up for high-res pictures took just a couple of tries, my fault, but the end result is professional prints second to none. My biggest problem was finding the printer in stock at the best price. No regrets when I finally ordered it. Great Printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jury's still out I bought it a couple of months ago, still can't get it to print from bigoted kindle (no easy access to products Bezos views as competition - so always assume it's the kindle's fault, it usually is) and slap on switching from Spectrum to Fios......don't expect anything to work. It does print, be it at a snail's pace from my iMac. At this point, I'm expecting to be disappointed. Always an Epson printer promoter, but time will tell on this little number.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing quality!! I received this printer in the mail in a timely manner. It was easy to unpackage and easy to assemble the few parts that needed assembled. There was a lot of protective tape on the product, but I feel that helped keep it safe while in transit. Installation was fast and also easy. After setting up my printer and ensuring it was working on my network, I ran the suggested alignment tests. It took a few tries to get everything perfect. After I got it aligned properly, I printed my first 8x10 on the sample paper that was with the printer. I could not believe the quality of the photo. It was definitely professional quality. I would absolutely recommend this printer to friends and especially the aspiring photographers out there!! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Multifunctional Ink-Jet Printer Epson Photo HD XP-15000 Wireless Color Wide-format Printer Review This is a review of the Epson Photo HD XP-15000 Wireless Color Wide-Format printer. This printer is versatile, high quality, and accomplishes much more than just printing gorgeous photographs. Pros: functions as a normal inkjet printer as well as a photo printer, easy instructions, easy to set up, easy to connect to a wireless network, high quality professional photos, relatively fast setup, user friendly, LCD screen on the printer, prints more than just photos, prints various sizes of photos, prints on multiple media, comes with everything you need to get started, trays hold multiple pages, prints fast, easily prints from a phone, has an easy app to download, has its own email, has an auto tray, has USB port for photos on flash drives, can also hook up directly to a computer if you don’t have a wireless network, has an option for quiet printing, energy star rated Cons: slightly loud when not on quiet mode First impressions were that it was going to be a big machine. It isn’t, it’s desktop friendly measuring 18.7" x 30.9" x 16.2" while printing. I was under the assumption it only printed photos, so I was shocked to learn that it’s a multifunction machine. I was also very concerned with the fact it needed so many cartridges and how much that would cost to replace them. Getting started, the instructions are not 100% clear on how much packaging that there is that you need to remove; I kept finding more and more. Once you remove packaging, plug it in, and turn it on, you are able to use an onboard LCD screen and control panel to navigate the printer. Installing the cartridges was extremely easy and the priming is all automated so you just wait 10 minutes for the ink to configure. Once configured, the paper was easy to load into the bottom tray, face down…which is important if using photo paper. Once the machine was configured I moved on to installing the software; the CD made this process easy. I had zero issues configuring my wireless network. I printed a couple of test pages on regular paper and it worked well. I moved on to printing 4”x6” photos. This printer was and is incredibly fast. Printing large photos was just as easy as printing small photos. The quality of the prints are truly professional, no one would believe that these prints came from the comfort of your own home. Of course quality of the pictures depends on the actual quality of the image. Photos from a nice camera versus a phone camera will be obvious in the final printed product. Don’t expect high quality prints from a low quality camera. Just reading the name of the printer it doesn’t scream that it can do much more than print photos. I found it incredibly surprising and exciting that this printer has many options, functions, and pre-set settings. This device is not just for printing photos. It’s a multifunctional inkjet printer. The options with this machine are endless, including a variety of media options and finishes. I was happy to learn you can print iron-on transfers, greeting cards, various sizes of adhesive label sheets, and sticker sheets, all in a variety of different finishes. This printer has pre-set settings for how it should print on regular paper vs photo paper and which size and finish. You don’t even have to think because the printer already knows what to do based upon the settings you choose. Another nice feature is the adjustability of the tray. The tray has sizing options so you don’t have to waste a full sheet of photo paper; you can load in pre-cut 4”x6” photo paper or other various pre-cut sizes and just adjust the tray to fit each size (which is very easy). As you pull out the tray and size it, the automated settings appear on the LCD screen and you can choose pre-programmed settings right at the printer. The actual printing of the photos isn’t slow either, this printer whips out photos: one 4”x6” photo in 27 seconds! Another cool thing about this printer is that there are no borders to cut off on your photos! The printer prints them all the way to the edge of the paper. You don’t just have to send one photo to the printer either, you can send multiples. The front tray holds up to 200 sheets of paper, sizing up to 8.5”x13”. It has a second tray in the back that holds up to 50 sheets of 13”x19”. One last thing about the trays, when you send a document or picture to the printer there is a front auto tray that automatically comes in and out and holds the pictures/documents as they’re printed, then when you are finished printing you press the button and it sucks it back in and shuts, it’s a nice save spacing option to have. This printer has really nice creature comforts. There are many ways to print from this printer. The wireless function is really so convenient. Who wants to be attached to a cord? I can print directly from my phone or from my computer without it being attached to my computer, AND the printer has its own email address!! That means you can print from literally anywhere! I can send the printer an email or an email with an attachment and it prints it all! There is even an Epson app called Epson iPrint! This lets you print photos, save documents, scan documents, and buy toner/ink, all while giving you an update on the status of your printer as well as how much ink is left. If you don’t have a wireless network, don’t fret, it can be wired and you can also print directly from a flash drive or a device that uses a USB port. The main concern I had going into this is there are 6 color cartridges. How much was that going to cost me to be able to maintain the usability of this printer? There are standard capacity ink cartridges and high capacity ink cartridges. The standard black prints 240 pages and the colors including cyan, magenta, and yellow print 360 pages, while the high capacity black prints 500 pages and the colors including cyan, magenta, and yellow print 830 pages. But, you also have high-capacity red and grey which yield approximately 830 pages. The prices for the standard cartridges are $10.99 per cartridge. The price for the high capacity black is $18.99, colors are $21.99 each. So let’s break this down to price per page. Total price / # of Pages = Price per Page. Black standard is $10.99/240 = $0.05 per page Color (yellow, magenta, cyan) Standard is $10.99/360 = $0.03 per page High capacity red is $21.99/830 = $0.03 per page High capacity grey is $21.99/830 = $0.03 per page Black high capacity is $18.99/500 = $0.04 per page Colors (yellow, magenta, cyan) High capacity is $21.99/830 = $0.03 per page High capacity red is $21.99/830 = $0.03 per page High capacity grey is $21.99/830 =$ 0.03 per page Grand total for standard plus high red and grey is $0.05 + $0.03(5) = $0.20 per page using standard black, yellow, magenta, cyan, and high capacity red and grey. Grand total for all high capacity is $0.04+$0.03(5) = $0.19 per page. The math says it is about 1 cent cheaper PER PAGE to purchase the high capacity cartridges. So let’s figure out the average cost of an 8”x10” print to compare it to a printing store. I chose 8” x 10” so I get an accurate representation of the “price per page”. So we use that math and it costs us $0.19 a page, just in ink, so if we add in the cost of photo paper which is on sale for $4.50/20 pages that comes out to $0.26 a page. The full color 8”x10” costs us $0.42 for one print when buying high capacity cartridges and buying paper on sale (directly from Epson). How much does it compare to getting a print at the store within an hour? I sampled several retailers. The prices of four random store photo retailers, to order and pick up in the same day, were $2.84, $3.99, $3.99, and $2.39. So where do we fit in with the cost of the Epson ink and paper total, our $0.42? We come in well below the price of a full page print; the savings makes this machine totally worth the cost of ink. Plus, you don’t have to leave the house, saving you gas money and your time. This machine in my opinion is absolutely worth the price and cost of ink. All in all, this printer does it all! From printing photos, emails, invitations, post cards, greeting cards, to iron on transfers, stickers, labels, CD’s, DVD’s and more! All printed in a variety of finishes, sizes, and thicknesses; this printer is the ultimate multifunctional machine. It’s incredibly convenient this machine has its own an app, email, and is completely wireless. Lastly, its price per page is not even comparable with photos picked up from a professional printing store, and the quality is impeccable; just what you would expect from a printing store. I would definitely recommend this printer to someone who just needs a multifunctional printer or for a professional. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not Print 12x12 Borderless prints I bought this printer specifically because the Epson rep told me it would print 12x12 borderless prints. I print scrapbook pages at home and loved my Artisian 1430. Since this was the new model, I figured it would be even better. Nope! The only way I can get a 12x12 print, is to use an entire sheet of 13x19 paper and position the image on the paper. And then I have to trim the image away - this wastes a ton of paper I could have used for another project. I'm SO disappointed. I'm going to see if I can find a company that will fix my Artisian 1430 printer and return this one. If someone can contact me and tell me what I'm doing wrong....if anything...I would appreciate it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The first one didn’t work... I made 9 prints before all of a sudden the printer started producing lines (like the printer head was scrapping the sheet) in every print. Performed PHA and PHC tho no avail. However, received a replacement immediately and it has produced wonderfully. Maybe got a bad unit, oh well. Still a really good printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent piece of equipment I've had the printer since early May 2018, about seven and a half months. I bought it to replace the R-280 Stylus that failed and which I was using, when I could get it to work right, to print labels directly to disc. The difference was dramatic. The print to disc function works flawlessly. However, there are a lot of options to learn for ordinary paper printing and it takes a while to remember what you have to do in certain cases. As for photos, I have no complaints so far. Color is much better than the R-280. I'd give it a 97 out of a hundred. I'm happy I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Photo Print Quality I am thrilled with the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000. Out of the box it has met all expectations. Unpacking and setup was a breeze with easy to follow, onscreen directions & printed instructions. This printer uses 6 color cartridges allowing for more vivid and accurate prints. The addition of the Red and gray inks to the normal Magenta, Azul, Yellow and Black made for a nice surprise and good quality print. Installation of the cartridges were easy & thus far Ink usage appears to be minimal, but in checking replacement costs online, it is remarkably affordable (Aproximately $11 per color) This printer has the capacity to print up to a 13 x 19 inch photo which is AMAZNG! I can't wait until I can print enlargements that large after I receive my order of 13 x 19' photo paper. Add to that the ability to print 2 sided prints automatically and this printer is a real winner. Overall - I feel that this is an ideal printer for those who need a dependable photo quality printer. Both the professional working from home and the Scrapbooker needing a photo print will greatly benefit by having this printer at home. Too many specifications to mentions in this review but overall - 5 Stars. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Photo Printer This printer is my first Wide-format printer and something that I had always wanted to be able to print larger photos out at home, but had never purchased one as I didn’t expect the quality to be as good as photos printed at Walgreens. However, this printer has greatly surprised me. I printed our Christmas photo on letter sized printer paper and compared it to the print from Walgreens and the one I printed at home is just as good or maybe even better. I love that the printer can print all the way to the edge so that there are no white lines. The printer also had a caddy from printing on CD’s which is a great benefit when sharing photo’s on a CD. It makes a CD a much more personal gift. The printer has a large footprint but much smaller than what you would expect from a wide-format photo printer. I also love that if you are only printing on letter size paper, the paper can fit inside the printer and there is nothing sticking out to get dusty. Installation is a breeze the Epson software makes it easier to install all the needed software on the PC and guides you through connecting the printer to you Wi-Fi network. A word of warning when unpacking the printer, there is a also of tape and Styrofoam inside the printer, so check it a couple of times before turning it on. I would highly recommend this printer for anyone who needs to print photos out at home and doesn’t want to deal with having to go to the store. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great print quality I bought this printer primarily to print about 40 tabloid size posters (11x17). My project came out great. Great print quality. The 6 ink cartridges get used up randomly, depending on what you print. I only replace one when it runs low. Hard to say how much more ink I get with the extra capacity cartridge versus the normal capacity cartridge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not the Artisan 1430 I bought this printer as the recommended replacement for the Artisan 1430 as recommended by Epson. I am VERY disappointed with this printer. It is nothing like the 1430. The color is not the same. All of my saved settings for Illustrator do not work. Am unable to reconfigure the settings. I have a business making vintage style prints and now I have to adjust every print to get the same output and look that I did with the 1430. This is very time consuming and not at all cost effective.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent value, great upgrades! I bought this as a replacement for my Artisan 1430. Some really nice upgrades here. Wireless connectivity and firmware upgrades are a plus. Much faster photo quality printing. Smaller footprint and automatic delivery tray deployment. Separate 8.5 x 11 feed tray so there's always paper ready for the quick jobs. Nice menu-ing through the LCD and the control panel flips up for easy reading and control. Now, if only Epson would make a deal with Costco so I could buy ink at a discount!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not for fine artists I bought this to replace my artisan 1480 which is no longer being manufactured. But this printer doesn’t accommodate heavy weight papers except for their own Epson brand (Velvet) which I don’t like. It’s been a big disappointment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice prints Prints beautifully but the larger paper doesn't always feed in well. It wants to bunch up in the printer. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crisp Beautiful Prints! I bought this to replace my 10 year old R1800 who's rollers dried out. I live in the extreme desert southwest and the rollers eventually dry out and harden. So I moved up to the XP15000. First, it takes up a lot less space on my print table. Second it feeds from the center now and that seems to pull the paper straighter than the R1800. Third, the printer uses HD Claria dye based ink which seems to pop more than the ink in the R1800. 4th, I bought this specifically to print on Epson Metallic Papers and I have experienced none of the slow drying and handling issues I've had with other inks. I mostly use Epson premium papers but also run Costco Glossy for my bulk promotional handouts and the printer does a great job on the cheaper papers while maintaining good color reproduction. Setup was a little more extensive that I remember on other Epson photo printers and it took several passes of calibration prints to get it dialed in (All Automatic). The setup and prime for the print stream uses quite a bit of ink, so be sure to buy extra ink when you order your printer. But once it's primed, the ink/dye usage seems normal. As for the Metallic Paper prints ... they are fantastic and you really have to hod the prints in your hands to get a sense of the depth and presence of the finished product., Hopefully I'll get 10 years out of this printer but It will have easily paid for itself after about 6 months so I can't really lose barring warranty issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prints Beautiful Photos I had a 4-5 year old photo printer so I thought it was time for a new photo printer. Didn't consider a multi-function printer just a dedicated photo printer. Very glad I chose the Epson Expression Photo HD. I printed an older digital photo that was about 6 years old and compared the results to my older photo printer. No comparison! The colors were richer, the hues were delightfully expressed, and the overall photo was more pleasing without ruining the photo content. Again, very pleasing results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality printer! Love it! I absolutely love this printer! The packaging was hassle free, with the exception of a couple pieces of blue tape and some little styrofoam blocks inside the bottom paper tray that I didn’t realize were there at first. Not a big deal. Make sure you do a thorough search over for all of the blue packaging tape and little styrofoam pieces... that being said, I’m glad they package it in a way that ensures it won’t be damaged. Thanks to well-written instructions, it was extremely easy to set up. When you first turn it on, installation of the ink cartridges is simple, and utilizing the LCD screen to navigate the set up process is easy. It takes about 10 minutes for the ink to configure. My WiFi connected quickly with no problem! In addition to the easy set up, the print quality is fantastic. The photos print fairly quickly and the printer produces nice, crisp photos— whether they are large or small! I LOVE that I am able to print high quality pics directly from my iPhone using AirPrint. The Epson iPrint app is simple to use and very handy. The printer itself is relatively slim and sleek, considering that it is capable of printing up to 13”x19” photos! I’m excited about the feature that will allow me to print on disks, too! I love the fact that there are pre-programmed settings which allow me to choose my desired photo size and preferred media output type (photos, card stock, disks, iron on transfers, stickers, etc). Considering how much I normally pay for photos at the store, never mind the driving to and from, and the wait time it takes, I’m ECSTATIC to have such a high quality, easy-to-use printer to use at any time. The ink cartridges for this device are surprisingly inexpensive, also. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up and use! I love this Epson XP 15000 Printer. From the minute I opened the box, the entire set up was easy. The whole process took about 30 minutes. Instructions were clear as can be. Now, the best part... The print quality is fabulous. So much better than where I normally get my photos printed and I don't even have to leave the house. If you love to take photos like I do this is the perfect printer. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Size and Performance This printer has been absolutely amazing to have for the holidays. Going from a family that has exclusively digital photos, to finally printing out high-quality, amazing photos for our home, is one of the best things about this printer. The ease-of-use was unparalleled, and took hardly any time at all for myself to learn, and to teach my spouse. I'm especially impressed by Epson's usage of ink, and how it maintains the high-quality prints, which being incredibly economic and manages ink well. I have had zero issues with this Photo printer, and will be using this for a very long time. I expect to be able to use it for a long time, too, because the build quality is very solid, and definitely feels built-to-last in the solidness of it's construction, and the ability to nearly completely disassemble the machine for troubleshooting and maintenance purposes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Quality, Slow Performance When I first received this unit, I was surprised to see just how wide of a printer this even after considering the wide format paper it can use. The setup was extremely simple thanks to the software that lets you connect to the network without having to connect any more cables than the power cord. Of course I wish the display would have been bigger because its quite a task having to get up close to the printer to see the messages it displays. The quality of the prints this device produces are actually very nice. They certainly compare to the prints you would get from your photo center at Costco or CVS. However, the speed at which they print can be pretty slow. I printed one 8.5x11 photo which took approximately 8 minutes. One great thing about this printer is that it does have to paper feed options, the main cassette tray and a second tray that pops up from the top for your choice of paper. All in all, I believe this is a photo printer with great potential that is slightly dinged by its speed and small screen size. This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent personal photo printer Excellent color and support. Purchased strictly as a photo printer as the color reproduction was important. Not disappointed at all. After easy setup, am very impressed with output. 6 colors make all of the difference you would expect. Grey and red are excellent changes from light cyan and magenta. As added bonus, love the retractable exit. Makes for a nice compact unit. Wish I had purchased initially!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing printer Well first I start by saying, I knew this printer would be pretty amazing after reading the features and descriptions, but when I got it and actually had time to use it I’m just blown away at how incredible this machine really is. Although I am an IT professional, instructions were rather easy to follow. With that being said, you don’t need a computer and electronics engineering degree to set up this printer or be a rocket scientist. Anyone with common basic knowledge would be able to easily set up. I set up the machine on a laptop that didn’t isn’t equipped with a cd drive. Which I had to download the software, now this process was about 45 minutes or an hour which could have been because I was at home and I have the worst internet provider, but with faster speeds it shouldn’t take so long. Anyways, I didn’t have any trouble finding the software. The first thing I noticed was that this printer has two options to insert your photo paper. It has one entry at the top that opens, and one at the bottom, that slides open and shut. Something that you would see at an office building or something professional. So I was suprised by that. Now, this printer comes with a few options of photo paper. With the glossy, matte, you even get pre cut say for instance if your just looking to print a smaller photo and you don’t want to waste the full size. Anyways I tested one of each. My findings: -prints photos unbelievably fast, I’m talking seconds. - the photo quality is extremely professional. Like having a photo professionally printed from a printing service, it’s that good. No one could tell the difference, I’m that confident and impressed by them. I can actually say that I’ll never use professional printing services again! That is as long as this printer is still working, of course. But I have faith that this printer should last me sometime. I do have one complaint, not really a complaint because it still costs less by printing at home. Anyways there are 6 separate ink cartridges. But after looking at the prices of each which range of up to 22 dollars, some cheaper, it’s not all that bad. That’s one thing I like about Epson Printers is that their ink cartridges are cheaper than other brands. Anyways, I didn’t do the math but all and all I’m still going to save and I’ll get to print photos in the comfort of my own home. This machine will print photos, labels, stickers, different sizing, greeting cards, post cards, the list goes on but I’ll stop at that. My point is, this machine does more then photos. It’s very versatile. You also have the cloud option, you can download an app and print from a mobile device or at a different location, which is just wonderful. If your looking to print professional photos and more in your own home and not looking to spend an arm and a leg, then this printer will be a great selection. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty awesome! I did finally get this as a gift. I used to do sublimation but sold all my equipment to buy a ring and get married. This printer does print really amazingly. Calibration to the front tray was easy but I have had issues trying to calibrate the rear feeder. Its showing horizontal lines. Aside from needing to calibrate that rear feed, this is a really user friendly printer that has no issues reading from any device over the network.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Print Big Photos From Home! ? If you're looking for a printer that can handle a large variety of paper sizes, inclunding big ones, the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer may be for you. The printer comes packaged with the following accessories: “figure 8 “power cord (no “brick“ needed), six different ink cartridges, software CD. Please note that the printer does not come with USB printer cable, but that should not be a problem as the printer is, as noted, equipped out of the box for Wi-Fi printing. Build quality seems solid. I don’t think I’ve ever had to remove so much packaging tape from a consumer electronics item ever before! Nothing rattles or shifts around when printing, and unti sits firmly on a flat, level surface. Print cartridges went in without fuss. It does not seem physically possible to insert an ink cartridge in an incorrect slot, I think due to slightly different shape contacts for each of the characters. That’s a nice design. Set up: Set-up instructions are reasonably clear: I did not require any clarification. Initial set up instructions (attaching the power cord, installing ink cartridges) are found on the set-up sheet included with the printer. Once plugged in, easy -to-understand prompts are provided on the printer’s LCD screen. One communicates with the printer through the keypad next to the LCD screen. The LCD screen is bright and sharp and easily adjustable to multiple viewing angles. Buttons are easy to press and the printer does not lag in responding to button presses. I found the keypad intuitive. It is preferable to have working Internet connection while setting up, as both installation software and printer firmware may need to be updated. I did not attempt to proceed with skipping the steps, so I cannot attest to the success of the installation process without doing so. Probably the most difficult part of the set up came in evaluating print samples for proper calibration printer. One is asked to insert a few sheets of plain paper. The printer then outputs a series of lines in boxes and the user is asked to assess the quality of multiple samples. Oftentimes it seemed like an eye exam in that one is sometimes asked to choose between two very similar samples. Paper handling A front loading cartridge and a rear feeder better suited for single sheets are integrated into the printer. One can manually select from which supply the printer will take paper. “Auto select input” is available; I have had zero luck getting it to work even if only one tray had paper. Further, using the front tray for a handful or less of paper has very mixed results; most of the time, the printer would not recognize that any paper had been inserted. On insertion, one can change paper details (size, finish) though the app or through the printer. I found the process tedious, but commonly-used combinations can be saved as favorites. Feeding paper during printing was very smooth. No jams were noted with properly-loaded paper. I’ve noted no marks on the paper from rollers or the paper path. A very interesting feature of this printer is a motorized output tray. When not in use, it retracts into the front of the machine. It automatically extends from the printer when printing. It does not by default retract when the job is finished. One can either push to engage the mechanism, or tell the printer to retract via the LCD keypad. Also, if the front paper tray runs out while printing, the output tray does not automatically retract. This is inconvenient as it is more or less mandatory to retract the output tray before being able to access the paper tray. Printing Print speed is as expected for the consumer printer; rated over 9ppm with the draft speeds, significantly slower as per quality selection changes. At “best” quality, I timed the printing of a 4” x 6” photo at one minute twenty seconds. Print quality is acceptable if not spectacular. At best quality using an included sample of “premium glossy” paper, colors were evenly distributed without “runs”, and borderless printing worked perfectly. Colors, however seemed washed out, especially in the skin tones (portrait mode photo, front-facing camera, iPhone X, olive-skinned subject) Networking Easy set up with consistent connection. WPS connection available. Mobile app iOS app is easy to use and handles multiple printers. Most of the functions that can be accessed from the printer keypad can also be accessed through the application. Air print allows printing from 3rd party apps. All seem to work as quickly and consistently as printing from a desktop/laptop. Overall, a reasonable value for large-format photo printing, but paper loading is cumbersome, and print quality is not spectacular. I think that it's perfectly acceptable for home use. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Photo Printer for Photographers The Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-format printer is pretty awesome so far. Honestly I was hesitant using a Epson printer due to some bad experience in college with one that would constantly have ink issues. Out of the box the XP-15000 looks very nice and minimalistic on the outside which I love. Setting it up was a breeze and I opted for a wired network connection. Now I turn this off and back on when I need to use it and so far wireless hasn’t been an issue with it yet. I went ahead and purchased some Epson Premium Photo with a glossy borderless finish to test this printer and see how it does. To be completely honest it is just as good if not better than my local photo printing. I have yet to try anything larger than a letter sheet though. This puts out a very gorgeous photo and I will be hanging some in frames for my house. I think it’s a great product for a photography hobbyist or someone that will use a photo printer on a semi-regular basis. Personally I plan to turn it on and at least print something bi-weekly or so to keep things moving, although that may be me being paranoid from printer issues of the past! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prints well, inks hard to find I use it mostly for screen printing separations so it's a little outside it's intended use. I tricked it into printing on transparencies by making sure a same size piece of cardstock is in the chute with it. Won't print if it's not there, don't know why. Another fix is to tape the trans to the white sheet. Run scotch tape along the bottom. BUT- none of the local office stores carry the ink! Very few on ebay. Avail from Epson but it would be nice to have it ready in a pinch

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Capable Printer for larger printing at home. I'd give it a 8.5 out of 10. I would not say this was a perfect device, but it certainly is capable and seems to produce good quality images even at 13" x 19" sizes. One thing I do really like is the Claria Photo ink they use. Having several independent colors makes some great images. Again, not perfect, but very good/great for the average high end consumer. The overall size of the printer is nice. Pretty small for the size of prints it can produce. This unit does not have a touch sensitive display like its smaller brother, but its just as easy to navigate and get setup. The setup was a breeze and didn't take long at all. High marks given for that. Overall, I must say this is worth the price and an excellent option for large printing needs. Again, its not perfect and only time will truly tell if it stands up to its first impressions, but I would have no problem purchasing this unit as a consumer if I was in the market for a large format photo printer. Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT wide format printer For years I have used the Epson Stylus photo 2200 printer which I ended up buying off EBAY when the printer was discontinued. I purchased other Epson new models but NOTHING matched the quality of print of the 2200. They finally cloned the 2200 in coming out last fall with the XP15000 which is faster but still the great quality of prints (I print mostly photos using Epson Premium Luster photo quality paper). Even my computer Geek was absolutely impressed when he set it up for me and was going to recommend it to his other customers. Heads up if you buy this printer order extra ink cartridges as not all business suppliers are caring these printers inks yet. After searching I finally found some off Amazon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely not an intuitive printer I've just started using my XP-15000, and I find it to be severly over-complicated. I can usually work a printer right out of the box, but I can see I'm going to have to study the manual with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DISAPPOINTING When my Artisian 1430, which had served me well for YEARS, died, I thought this printer would be a good option. After having this printer (which the first was a lemon and they had to ship me another) since last fall, I have found it infuriatingly inferior. Paper recognition issues constantly, will also not easily recognize the wide format tray is open with paper in, controls are not easy to navigate, printer loses connection to my computer easily, so I have to restart it often, printing is just okay. I am so disappointed but cannot afford to buy another printer right now so am stuck with this. I would buy the Artisian again in a heartbeat. This one - not so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Photo Printer This is my first time using Epson product. I received this printer 2 days before Christmas. It took about 20 minutes to set up, including firmware and software update. The printing speed is superfast for color pictures, while maintaining the quality. I’ve tested the color pictures in three 4x6 and a full page 8.5x11, which the photo paper samples that came with the printer. Overall, the color quality and printing speed are outstanding. This printer also has a media (CD/DVD) cover printing capability but took me some times to figure out how to use it. In order to use it, you need to install the software that came with the printer. The media tray is hidden in the back of the paper tray that you can slide it out. I love this media cover capability. Overall, this is a great color printer for photos. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality prints This printer produces great quality photos but takes a little getting used to coming from a 1430 Artisan. Also be aware that it comes with very low capacity cartridges with just about enough ink to set it up and try it out. I bought a set of high capacity cartridges when I bought the printer and I'm glad I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Large Format Photo Printer The Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 is a great large format photo printer. I've used this photo printer for a week now and you can really tell that Epson paid alot of attention to detail with this printer. A couple of the nice features that it has is 1. A motorized automatic output tray. This automatically opens and closes the output tray for you. With printers that don't have this feature, the printers will not print until the tray is pulled out or will result in your prints falling to the ground. 2. The printer includes a Sample Media Pack that includes a variety of Epson photo paper. It includes 5 sheets of the following paper: Premium Glossy Photo Paper 8 1/2 x 11, Borderless Glossy Photo Paper 4" x 6", Heavyweight Matte Paper 8 1/2" x 11, and Premium Semigloss Photo Paper 8 1/2" x 11". It's great to be able to start printing photos straight out of the box. Also, this printer comes with all the bells and whistles that you would expect from a recent Epson printer. It has a printer app to manage the printer from a smartphone or tablet. You can even manage the printer and change it settings from a web browser. It has Apple Airprint and Google Cloud Printer. It has Wifi Direct to allow for ad-hoc printing from a wireless device. Also has Epson connect to allow printing by sending the document to an email address that is assigned to the printer. Very cool. Overall, the printer was very easy to setup. It took me about 20 minutes to setup, update software, and calibrate the printer. The 2.4" color screen on the printer made set-up very easy. I was quickly able to starting printing all my favorite photos. The pictures turned out great too since the printer has the six color cartridge system (Cyan/Gray/Red/Magenta/Black/Yellow). The maximum resolution for this printer is 5760 x 1440 dpi. Photos came out clear and dried quickly. This printer is a great choice for those who are planning to print large format photos up to 13" x 19". Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not print borderless 12x12 or other custom sizes If you are looking for a printer that will print borderless on custom sizes, this is not the printer for you. We were looking specifically for a borderless 12x12 printer, which the specs page on this printer says it does. Well 12x12 is not a preset print size, and when you try to enter the custom size, the borderless option is not available. Talked to customer service a few weeks ago and they said it does not do borderless 12x12, yet it is still on their specs page. So for anyone out there who is hoping for this option, don't buy this printer. Otherwise, the prints are as I would expect from any color printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like it mostly. This is to replace my 10 year old stylus photo 1400,it is smaller, quieter, faster and prints seem to have more depth to them and prints are sharper. I did notice on printing a dark print 2 sets of double indent lines the width of the paper that are seen when looking up close and the display on printer is a pain ,I use a desktop comp. and find this redundant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Quality My experience with the Epson - Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wireless Printer has been a very positive experience. It was so easy to set up. From taking it out of the box, to completion was about 25 minutes. I only ht a few snags which I was able to figure out within a few minutes. It comes with a quick start guide that guides you through the set up. First step was the unpacking. It had everything on the list except for the ink cap storage bag. So I used a Ziploc bag instead. No big deal. This step also requires you to remove the blue tape holing everything in place for shipping. It has a few pictures as to where you will find the tape. However, it does NOT have a picture for the paper tray to remove the tape. This may have been helpful to clear up come confusion on loading the paper later down the road. Next step was to turn on and configure. (Simple) Which when you turn it on, it does this by itself. Next step was loading the ink cartridges. It was very easy. Clear and precise directions. Everything was labeled for easy installation. This part was a breeze. Next part was to load the paper. This is where I hit my first snag. I was trying to load the paper in the output tray instead of the paper tray. This was probably just an error on my part. I did read the directions over and over but for some reason I was getting it wrong. LOL. Next was the alignment of the ink cartridges and test papers. One of the first print outs is a bunch of squares and you have to choose which one is the most solid. That part was easy. The last part was these pars that printed and you were supposed to choose which one had no gap between and were not over lapping. With both bars being the same color, it was very hard to distinguish the best choice. I wish they were different colors. I would have been more confident in my choice. They all looked the same to me. Next was installing the software onto my computer. This part was pretty easy as well. I hit another snag when I was trying to set up a wireless connection. No where in any of the directions on the quick start guide or in the CD directions did it say to set it up directly on the computer. I thought myself to check this and set it up on there. If it was someone such as my parents who were trying to set this up would not have thought to check that. I think it should be added to the directions. I hooked mine up through wireless network. After all of that, I was ready to print! This printer came with a sample pack of photo paper!! Gotta love that!!! So I chose regular glossy paper and tested this bad boy out! I chose one of my best quality photos to print. I have to say, the quality is AMAZING!!! It is professional quality! I have used many different printing services and stores and this is even better than half of those!! I included a photo of my photo that printed, but even that does not give it the justice it deserves!! I am AMAZED!! Every single picture I have printed has been amazing quality!! This not only prints photos, it is all of your printing needs in one!! I totally recommend this product!! Rated 5 out of 5 by from NOVICE PRINTER BUT NOT IN LIFE..... ...meaning—I have taken photos and had them professionally printed for me all my life (many years). I cannot tell you how many printers I have had over my life, including Epson (years ago) and I was never happy with the output. Now that has changed. I am artist who paints and draws portraits and figures from photos. I need GREAT photographic references and, many times, I need them at a larger scale. Printing 8x10s can get quite expensive. Now, I can print these at home much cheaper. I have not printed a “giclee” yet, but I will update with my results soon. So far, I could not be happier with this printer. It was a very easy setup. It works very well with AirPrint from my backyard studio. I am so pleased with the detail in the photos. It is better than many online services. I AM SO HAPPY! Thank you, EPSON!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great photo printer! First thought was the box is huge so the printer will take up a lot of space. This is not the case per the printer is an average size printer. The printer was very easy to set up and connecting to Wi-Fi was simple also. All the pieces were easy to read and instructions were very understandable. I brought generic photo paper just to test it out and the photos came out amazing! Same quality and clarification as printing photos from your local retail print shop. Used glossy paper and the images are crisp and clear. It didn't use as much ink as I thought it would. This printer will save you time, money and the hassle of going to get your photos printed elsewhere. I love it so far and can’t wait to print more photos with it. “This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

I highly recommend this printer it is so easy to set up and to use. I mean this is a high-class printer my husband Epson is the best for their products. This printer has 6 individual color inks I really like this because the ink is much cheaper to purchase for this printer. I printed on different types of paper from regular plain paper to different types of photo paper and every time everything that was printed came out plain and clear. If you have projects that you normally would have another business do for you look no further than this printer to do all of your professional printing with. I like the fact that it is a wide printer for those bigger projects. Also this printer is very quite willing it is printing another factor that I like. Also this is a wireless printer which also means you can send pictures directly from your phone to the printer to have them printed. Also there is a usb port for quick printing from other things like flash drives etc. oh before I forget it another feature it has that is very useful to me is the cd/dvd printing it has a direct tray so when you purchase school pictures on a disk all you need to do is pop the disk in the printer and select what you want to print. So do I like this printer that is an understatement I love this printer and I hope you will too. This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good trade off and excellent prints I have owned this printer several weeks. After setting it up and succeeding with the wi-fi connections which were somewhat of a challenge the printer is easy to use and the first images printed were excellent. Ink and paper is expensive and sources are limited with discounts of any sort hard to find. That said I had made up my mind initially to stick with OEM consumables for their compatibility and excellent results. I am not sorry about this purchase and expect many years of instant gratification from excellent large format photo prints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer for a Beginner My experience with this printer has been excellent! While I would consider myself to be an amateur photographer, I believe this device produces superior quality photographs. I appreciate that images can be printed without a border, and they have all been perfectly clear and saturated so far. It was very easy to set up, with much less hassle than anticipated. I had never owned a wifi printer prior to this device, and its convenience cannot be overstated. And, unlike many of my previous printers, this device seems to be quite reasonable on ink. The ability to print quality, affordable photographs in my own home has been an exciting time and money saver. The XP-15000 has provided a great user experience thus far. When operating, I've noticed no lag, freezing, or crashes, and the interface is simple to navigate. Additionally, the actual printing process is surprisingly fast, taking under a minute in my experience. While the printer is a bit more compact than I anticipated, it has performed beyond my expectations. In the amount of time I've used this device, I've found it to be well-designed, producing excellent quality photographs. Overall, I consider it to be an excellent value, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this printer! This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Set-up Just got it installed. Wireless connect was easy. Not sure about any other features yet. Little concerned about wide format printing. We bought it specifically for printing 11x17 shop drawings. I think it will do the trick, we'll see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely Versatile Let me start off by saying I am extremely impressed with this printer. It's so much more versatile than it seems. It's not just for printing photos. The possibilities for this printer are endless. The box is very large but the printer is not bulky like I thought that it would be. Once it is out of the box and set up, it's the perfect size for any desk. The set up was very easy. Clear instructions made the setup a breeze. I feel like this is truly a "smart printer". It does most of the work for you as far as settings and configuration go. Don't be discouraged after installing the ink. It takes it around 10-15 minutes to set itself up, but this is completely normal. Now, lets move on to functionality. This printer is full of surprises. The quality of the printed photos is unbelievable. It prints off high quality photos very quickly and precisely. It also isn't just limited to photos-you can virtually print anything on any type of paper. The only thing I not 100% happy with is the ink. It takes 6 cartridges and the ink can be somewhat costly, depending on how often you are printing photos. Refillable cartridges would be great in the future to make this printer more cost-effective. All in all, it's a great printer that is extremely versatile and the prints are very high quality and they look very professional. Easy to set up and easy to use. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but unpredictable Been using Epson printers for years (and years). This design shows that Epson has evolved in terms of printer design, but there are some buggy features yet to be worked out. Wi-fi printing is great, two of us can print to the same printer - as long as the printer will stay connected. Printer occasionally forgets which source is which and fails to completely close the output tray. But the output quality is excellent and amazingly quick when things go right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Results I added this printer to replace my aging Artisan 1430. Overall it's a good replacement. Some of the features in the interface are not as precise as the 1430, but the speed is a bit faster and color rendition is very good. Overall the 1430 is a bit better, but the XP-15000 is a worthy replacement. I'd give it a 4.5 if that rating was available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice printer I purchased this printer to replace an older Epson Photo Stylus 1400. Color prints come out very nice, but there is quite a learning curve to understand exactly how it works when printing different sizes of projects when there is no owners manual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Page orientation and Color change Epson says replaces Artisan 50 and does not. New printer is oriented to middle of the page and Artisan 50 is oriented to the right margin. Make it impossible to print images on lower right 1/4 page. Finally found Avery template what is much more difficult than previous printer. Color on this printer does not match color on Artisan 50 so I have to redo most of my photos/painting to print accurately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! The Expression Photo HD XP-15000 is a great help in my new photography business and work like champ. Follow some new steps and I was set. I do have a Epson Work Force 610 for about 6 years and always did a good and a professional work. So, I'm a Epsonman. That is way I'm up gradating to a different level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact. Prints big. Set up was easy. The small screen on the printer takes a few minutes to decipher, though along with the printed directions is easy enough. WiFi works excellently. I've not printed many items with it yet, and what I have printed looks great. I love that there are no open areas for dust to get into. The front exit tray slides in (manually), and then – the part I love – opens itself automatically when printing starts. This is my 3rd Epson wide-format printer since 1993. The first two preformed superbly and each lasted more than a decade. I've never had anything other than an Epson printer, so I may not have the best experience to draw my opinion from, and I've never felt the inclination to try anything else either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seven paper jams right out of the box until it finally print I've never gone through this many paper jams with any printer I've owned. I have another Epson, it's the xp 820...zero issues other than it requires head cleaning by dismantling to do manually. Also have an HP Envy with no issues other than a resolved connectivity issue. This one jammed 7 pages before it finally printed the test and alignment pages and so far so good because I was ready to send it back! Why is this so from a brand new machine?? I hope this isn't a printer that will only last until the warranty expires and then calves...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black and White Images not good If you only want to print color images this printer does an excellent job. However if you ever plan to print Black and White or Sepia images then don't even consider this printer. Epson's enhanced B&W driver is not included in this printer therefore when printing B&W images the magenta and cyan is not eliminated from the printing process and your image with turn out blue/purple and not B&W. The next question asked is if I would recommend this product -- Yes/NO No only if you NEVER plan to print B&W.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so far so good I just got this going. I am familiar with Epson printers and I took my time and read the instructions so as not to mess things up. I like this printer. I am a graphic designer. It takes different paper sizes well, it prints a nice color on glossy paper, and it is not as problematic as the past Epson 13 x 19 printers (I have had 2, and although the quality is exquisite the paper feed and ink wells are problematic. Being as I am only going to be in the business for maybe 5 years and then will retire, I am happy, actually really happy that I didnt have to shell out $1000+ for a graphic designer printer, and thats what Epson was charging for the earlier stylus printers. All in all, if this printer does not suddenly go berserk on me, I will end up being super satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performs as Promised I bought this to replace an older photo printer that had run its course. What a joy to move to the XP-15000. Set up was a piece of cake and initial prints were even better than expected in both 4X6 and 8X10 sizes. Both printed iPhone pics with true colors and very high resolution. Well done!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price . I bought this less than a month ago , and i really think it is a great bargain. The set up was FAST and EASY. I have printed off a few photos ( as that is what it will be used mostly for) and am pleased with the clarity and crisp results. I haven't gotten the wide paper yet ,but plan to expand into larger format. I like the fact that the inks are separate and I won't have to replace all , just what is needed. Much cheaper in the end for folks on a budget.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the print resolution I am seeing I purchased my XP 15000 about one month ago. I also purchased the EPSON Watercolor paper and premium presentation papers, both in A3+ size and some smaller sizes. I am an amateur photographer and have struggled to find a printer that can not only print in the true color of my photographs but also give me the same image resolution I have been wanting. The XP-15000 does just that. My printed images are finely detailed to the point where visually, without aids, I see only sharp edges wherever I look on the images. The images I have printed are as good as any I have seen hanging on art gallery walls. The image I have included was a bit fuzzy for the size I printed (13x19) but a smaller print I made looks better. The colors in this image are true to what I obtained with my Canon T6i imaged in automatic shooting. This image was taken in haste because the bird popped up suddenly, as Great Blue Herons usually do, but I was fortunate to get this image. I would highly recommend this printer to those who are looking for image quality that looks great on a living room wall. My next move is to try printing on premium grade photo paper, I am sure I will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Printer I purchased this printer because I saw the difference between photos printed with it and photos printed with a regular photo printer. There is just no comparison. The Epson 15000’s printed photos just jump off the paper at you. They look real. I am very, very pleased with the results. The printer was pretty simple to set up and prints various sizes of photos but I got it to be able to print the 13 x 19 inch photos that are terrific. I would recommend this printer to anyone. It’s also a good size. I could fit it in just about anywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for My Purposes This printer is a replacement for the Epson R1800 that I loved minus the clogging issue I experienced with the pigment inks. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do not recommend I just purchased this because it was the recommended replacement to the 1430. I owned a 1430 for years and still prints beautifully but has problems with the paper feed. I bought this because I am in the middle of a time crunch and the the 1430 stopped feeding paper. I work in the graphic design industry and have owned epson printers ever since I bought my first Mac in 1993, so I had been a fan of your products for a long time. So here goes.... One reason I purchased this is because it claimed to be able to handle heavier weight paper. I bought some Staples premium photo paper (not an uncommon weight of paper) and the printer cannot handle it. The printer could not even detect whether I am using the main paper tray vs the rear feeder-even though I have selected it in my settings my computer and on the printer itself. I am also unable to access all of the color correcting features, in the software. I loaded it into a Microsoft Surface laptop and that had some more features available. I tested Quark Express, Adobe Indesign and Illustrator on both systems to see what the differences are. I was so accustomed to the software that came with your printers which gave me much more control of my print outs than other brand printers I have used. So my question is why are there more features on a PC platform than on a MAC platform, on the same applications? It is really unfortunate because it feels sturdy, well built and cleanly designed. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work. I can't justify keeping it and will need to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Prints but Doesn't Want to Print from Lightroom My Artisan printer bit the dust and now costs more than is reasonable for me. It would not print from Lightroom but did give me a nice print from Picasso.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Printer Sucks and Epson Knows It! This is the worst Epson product I have ever purchased and will be the last. The system fails every time you change the ink and then it waste other ink by recharging. Horrible printer and they refuse to give me my money back. However, everyone in my office knows about it. I have had my tech guys look at it and they say it is a bad setup. They have sent me 3 printers (one refurbished, that I refused) all of them do the same thing. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Overall Replacement My existing Photo Grade MP Series Canon printer served me well for the past 10 years and then Canon decided not to support it anymore - discontinued the ink cartriages...So time for a new printer. This time I wanted a printer that could print on wider paper, the XP-15000 met this requirement. So far great results, pretty straight forward to set up and use. My only compliant is that the software that came with the printer is very lacking compared to my previous Canon unit. This printer relies heavily on the photo program you are using to do set up for quality, colour density, borders, sizes, etc. Otherwise very satified so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed Designer I had chosen this printer based on reviews in the graphic design/small business arena. So far, I'm not impressed with the quality of the prints – text quality is especially less than average. I will present comps to clients for review before files are sent for either offset or digital printing so this was to eliminate costs by going to a Kinkos or copy shop to have more refined prints created for presentation purposes. I haven't had a chance to play with various settings within the adobe software yet or experiment with different paper stock but so far definitely not an improvement over HP printer products I have typically purchased in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value for a Quality Printer Call me a serious...VERY serious photographer. I was looking for a printer that would faithfully and accurately print my images without breaking the bank, and the HD XP-15000 fits the bill perfectly. I love the ability to print up to 13 by 19 inches...images are so much more exiting than when printed only as an 8X10. The colors are vivid and detail in shadow areas iclosely matches my original image. I did have some issues getting the printer on speaking terms with my wifi, but, once that was resolved, I have been very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Photo Quality! This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer. Included with the printer is: 1. Six ink cartridges (Red, Yellow, Cyan, Magenta, Gray, & Black) 2. Instruction booklet with CD for installing drivers to computer. 3. Power Cord. 4. Pack of different photo paper to use with the printer. Taking the Printer out of the box and getting it installed didn't take as much time as I was expecting. The blue tape that is placed everywhere throughout the device was tedious and annoying to remove. Other than getting the tape removed it ran pretty smoothly getting the ink cartridges installed and downloading the drivers to my computer. There is an option to set it up wirelessly or through a usb that connects to the computer (not included). I chose to connect it via usb and setup took about 10 minutes. I went ahead and printed some family photos and they looked amazing! I was quite surprised at how professional looking the prints looked. The only problem I had was when I needed to print a recipe off using regular paper- I kept getting the "paper is empty" error even though it had plenty of paper. I went through all the troubleshooting steps and still to no avail. After about 15 minutes I figured out that I needed to change the paper setting to "plain paper" instead of "photo premuim glossy" and everything printed out just fine. Overall I am impressed with this Espon Wide format printer, the printer quality is excellent! The option to connect your phone so you can print from your cellphone comes in quite handy. I did look up the price for replacement ink cartridges and to my surprise the cost isnt outrageous. Very comparable to any other photo printer. This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice looking printer It started out pretty good, had some strange lines on the first few photos but settled down to printing much like the photo in the screen. I assume this is just the way things go. Day 4 or 5 it started going crazy and printing on one page and skipping the next 6 and printing on page 7. Very frustrating so back to Staples it went for an exchange. Staples gave me the send it to the repair center spill and I said you have a 14 day return policy. Staples said oh well, you can return it if you want to do that. That is what I did and ordered a different heavier unit from B and H Photo that I am happy with. I do think all in all the printer was a Good printer. I just got a bad one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb small footprint printer -- super photographs ! After moving without my (extremely) large format printers, I happened across the XP-15000 while shopping around. I needed one that could do at least 13 x 19's, had more than the standard 4 colors, and occupied a small footprint. The XP-15000 does exactly that, having 6 different ink cartridges (it adds a red and a grey)and ofers wireless connectivity to boot. The set-up was super-easy, and after loading it (glossy side down!) with my remaining photosheets, I printed 5 photo-with files that I was familiar with. It was fast (ignore reviews that say it's slow), super smooth grain and ink distribution...and even with allowing the Printer to manage colors rather than Photoshop, it had wonderful gradients and nuances throughout all 5 prints. I recommend it in a heartbeat, espec. for the price (and the replacement inks are reasonably priced too). Go check one out !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Photo Printer Unboxing the printer was pretty typical. The size is pretty narrow for being a wide format printer. I was pretty happy with that. I do however have the same complaint about the size of the screen compared to the size of the fold up control panel. The unused space would definitely benefit from a bigger screen. That being said… the printer does not suffer or lack any functionality because of this unused space…. Just my eyes. Setup was super easy. I used a driver downloaded from Epson.com. Within a few minutes my printer was ready to use (after printed alignment pages of course). The ink is very easy to install and pretty straight forward. Simple snap in design. No issues there. Photo print quality is good. While printing I noticed some loud audible clicks. Not sure where they are coming from. It was loud enough to make me think I didn’t remove one of the blue tape pieces. It quieted down after the job got started. The first photo I printed did have some slight smudging on one edge. Repeated print jobs seemed to have the same issue. I began to wonder if I was missing something here. I then realized it was being caused by the paper output tray not being pulled out all the way. Just an FYI. This makes a huge difference. The printed photos look amazing. I previously used the ET 7750 printer and I’m honestly not sure which one looks better. The XP15000 is the way to go from a price perspective. The main differences in the printers seem to be different functionality and the ink system they use. The included media pack samples only contain 8 ½ by 11. It does not contain any 13x19. At the time of this review I have only tried 8 ½ by 11. Ink consumption seems to be pretty standard. All in all I’d say this is a great photo printer. I would not use this to print normal everyday things since other printers are far better suited for that purpose. The size of the printer combined with the quality of the prints makes this a great choice for printing photos. This also allows me to skip the line at the local print shop… Thats a huge bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great photo printer for anyone This printer is really good i mean its super easy to set up and if you dont understand anything the instrustion book is super detailed and helpful. Its suprisingly easy to set up the wifi print and now i can print from my phone even if im downstairs. One downside is that the little module that controls the lcd is a little glitchy on mine and it wont register the button until i hit it again. This printer has amazing photo quality as well. The coloring in photos is stunning and with the preset you put into the printer it kind of trues everything up and really gets all the coloring size and type of paper correct the photo is stunning. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very difficult set-up I purchased this yesterday. I was unable to set it up because I could neither get the CD to install the drivers or down;load them. A professional tech took more than 2 hours to finally get the proper drivers installed use another installer than that provided with the printer or downloadable from Epson.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Difficulties I have been using this for around a month. It replaced a wide format photo printer that was an ink hog. I had a choice of this or one of the new tank printers. I chose this for the greater number of ink colors and WiFi ready. I read very good reviews. I am a photographer and this is my main printer. I have found this printer very difficult to use. The set up was easy and the WiFi is ok, but it does not take my changes of , paper size, and cassette. I set up 8 x 10 but it will let me change when I go larger or smaller. I have to go to the printer and make the changes manually. Also I, the quality is marginal. regret buying it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major Disappontment While it may print 4X6 to 13x19, it will not do the one job that I bought for. Namely, 12 X 12. In the USA that is a popular size and this market is big enough to deserve that capability, even if Epson does not make that size paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good but annoying This prints beautiful pictures but I have to change the ink way too frequently -- more so than my previous epson printer, which was an Artisan 1430. And when it runs out of one color, you have no choice but to cancel the print command and then click on the "OK" button on the printer so many times before you can change the ink. Then you have to redo the print command again. I bought the XL ink cartridges and they do last a little longer but I am still changing the ink so often. The printer makes a "clicking" sound when the paper from the back feeder starts. According to epson, that is normal. However, it does sound like something is wrong. Time will tell..... I have not used it for wide-format printing yet, so I can't comment on that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointing Out of the box, this has been a very disappointing experience. I expected great printing without any trouble, besides setting it all up. The print quality is unusable, except for an emergency document. I have run the troubleshooting and still cannot get a clean print. Streaks in both directions, missing parts, and most of all frustrating, discouraging and time wasting when I least need it in my life. I have yet to try technical support (other than online), but will have to try. Purchased this while out of state to print some emergency documents, thinking I would finally have a nice color inkjet printer for images. So depressing. I may still try to return it. At the moment it is an expensive piece of junk taking up room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good! I just bought this for my wife for Christmas and she LOVES it! It has WAY more features than were even advertised and its perfect for an amateur photographer. (printing proofs and whatnot) The first few prints were of a surprisingly high quality maybe even good enough to sell with a few tweaks. Especially for the price.... We will give it some time and I will review again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful printer and pictures This printer is truly a work of art! The design is well thought out as can be seen from the size (even though it is a wide-format printer it fits well in my cramped space) and features. This photo printer produces pictures as well as you can purchase online or from any local store (I’ve done both)! It acts like a simple printer but with additional settings to allow the finer printing features of producing quality pictures on many different paper types, as well as printing on CD/DVDs. I printed on normal copy paper, on photo glossy paper, and on DVDs - all turned out great! I just tried the wired network connection - it works the best for me, but also can use other modes on connection, like USB, Wi-Fi, e-mail (fantastic feature), from mobile devices (iPhones/iPads [my wife and daughter have these], Android phones [I have Pixel XL] - using AirPrint or CloudPrint). Printing via PC's (have four of them) will require the printer driver to be installed. Set up of the XP-15000 was easy! Remove from box, take off the blue tape, connect the power and then let the instructions on the screen help by walking through each of the steps. Simple! As far as installing software I found that going online (www.epson.com/support/xp15000) to load the latest drivers and software was easier than installing via CD (which is enclosed for those that want to print via USB and no network connections). Again I want to mention that the output of this printer is great! Pictures matched the photos I had taken plus what one picture was from the internet (looked better on paper than on the screen and I didn't need to make any adjustments (but adjustments are available if needed). This printer is great since I am now able to print wide photos! The largest (13x19 inch – wide-format) output is great, now I just need to purchase frames and matting to place my photos on the walls! There is one small area that needs to be mentioned. When printing on a CD/DVD, the inserting of the tray (which holds the disc) requires a little extra "force" to insert into the slot of the printer. It felt like I was going to break either the tray or the printer at first - a little hesitant of applying too much force. The instructions mentioned that would feel resistance, but didn’t expect that much. That was the only "complaint" I had, which really doesn't rank as a complaint. The technical writers at Epson may want to give a comparison so that people will truly understand the feeling of "resistance." This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made Me Remember How Much I love Printing I bought this printer because I had promised myself that once I moved into a studio space I was going to start printing again. I didn't print at home because of the dogs and cats shedding. My first prints have been 13x19. The largest I've ever printed. There's something special about seeing a shot that you've taken, printed that large. The thing that struck me was the speed. I remember my old Stylus Photo printers taking forever for an 8x10. Even on the highest quality setting, it seems like the 13x19s were done before the 8x10s I remember. The price point was right to get me back into printing my stuff and I'm 100% certain I'll be adding to my list of printers over time. They always have been and always will be Epson. Besides it looks so sexy sitting there beside my Workforce 4730

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great photo printer, convenience of home! Quality of labs! This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo HD SP-15000 Wide-format printer. I am excited to tell you how much I am enjoying this new printer. The quality of the photos is fantastic, and the convenience of printing at home is so worth it! I believe it will fit the needs of those who would like to print some of the many photos taken on our smart phones as well as from digital SLR's etc., in addition to providing the normal daily printing functions, all with top quality in the convenience of home. It is a bonus that it can print wide format sizes and everything in between, as well as on heavier card stock in addition to photo paper and typical printer paper, as well as CD/DVD’s. The printer has nice clean lines and appearance, and fits on a desk, taking up less than 19" of width. For me, it is about the same footprint as our old 'all in one" that only scanned and printed 8.5" x11". Unfortunately this printer does not scan, but we have a scanner on our other printer. We have had Epson printers for many of the years, with varying degrees of success. In some cases in the past, we had issues with apparent ink clogs, or perhaps air in the lines, which trouble shooting and head cleaning sometimes remedied. Epson continues to improve their printers and their ink products. We have not had the above mentioned problems in the two printers we've had for the past five + years. On one of my creative sites involving printing on fabric for cutting and stitching lines in quilt making, some participants chose to use other name brand printers over Epson because the ink WOULD wash out after they did their stitching. Yes, that is exactly what most of us DO NOT want from our printer ink! We want it to be stable and permanent, and even archival to withstand the passage of time. Great argument to stick with Epson for REAL print quality! I create invitations, rather elaborate and detailed invitations, in addition to other work involving the use of a printer, and I am a perfectionist and very detail-oriented. The end result has to be perfect and visually very appealing, or I make adjustments until it is. I prefer to print from home, because I like the control I have at home with my printers - currently, our utilitarian every day printer is an Epson Artisan 810 (which we will be replacing due to age and the occasional hiccups of an aging printer - with an Epson Workforce 16500 wide format. BUT wow, that one is HUGE and requires some space I don’t have at my kitchen/family room desk.) I also have my second wide format photo printer, The Epson Stylus Pro 3880, which uses huge and expensive cartridges and has done a beautiful job on every task I've given it and which I use for much of my creative design work and for photos (all those ink cartridges including matte, photo and greyscale of my large format printer produce unbeatable quality.). I LOVE it, but it is big, not wireless, and firing it up for smaller jobs such as printing a few photos to send my mother of her great grandchildren seems to be overkill, and not so easy/convenient because you have to be very careful or you accidentally switch from Matte to Photo black (or vice versa) and waste a lot of ink and time in the process. I have needed and wanted a good quality printer for smaller jobs like printing some of the millions of photos I take, something that is much more convenient, can be used for things besides photo printing, can handle thicker papers like card stock, has wide format capability as well as custom size capability, and I prefer not having to deal with the matte vs photo black inks for every day jobs and simple photos. This printer, the Epson Expression XP-15000 fits that niche fabulously. I'd say for the average person or family who just want a printer that will do a great job of printing some photographs who would also like the printer to do standard printing jobs for them, this printer is more than adequate and will serve them very well. It will likely also serve those who have a creative paper or photography hobby or business well. The print quality is outstanding and it is easy to set up and to use. Though I rarely set up any of our tech stuff, I do trouble shoot issues with printing equipment, I did the set up of this Epson XP15000 myself with my more tech savvy husband nearby, in case I had a glitch, so he would know what I was doing and could assist if needed. I followed the provided directions, and had no problems getting the printer out of the box and set up, removing packaging materials, plugging it in, installing the ink cartridges, charging it, running the test sheets and doing the calibration steps...(Only very minimal issue wherein in a few cases the directions didn't note exactly what/where there were packing materials and tape, so you had to use your brain just a bit...such as in the lower paper tray/cassette.) Anyway, I was able to print photos from my phone within minutes. We both were very impressed by the quality of the photos, and the ease of set up and use up to that point. I then went online to download the software and did the update as directed. That too went smoothly. Since then I have printed 4x6's on lustre and gloss photo paper, 8.5x11's on lustre and glossy photo paper, and even a photo of a beautiful scene from Tuscany on Epson 13x19 watercolor matte finish paper I got a few years ago. I printed directly from my phone and from my Mac computer on various weight card stocks, photo paper and ordinary printer paper. I did feel that things may have been a bit slow, but my Mac is old and has been telling me to free up space, and is ready to be replaced, so the fact that I had it overstretched at the time with programs open could explain that speed issue, or perhaps our very brand new Wifi system isn't quite interfacing as it should (for reasons beyond my test, my husband feels there is an issue with the WiFi and correct bandwidth selection. The Epson unit is limited to the 2.5GHz band. Our new Mesh Wifi system (which is great, by the way) uses uses 3 frequencies which it moves between to optimize coverage. We noted issues with the printer connetiing with the WiFi especially if it was communicating on the 5 GHz band. Epson needs to work with the Mesh Router manufacturers and work this out, as Mesh WiFi networks help to optimize coverage throughout the home or office space. Because of that I went ahead and connected the printer to my computer with a USB cable (not provided), and things then printed more quickly, but unfortunately until I get my new computer set up, which is delayed because we have to deal with all the photos on it, I’m pretty sure my speeds are a little lower than others report.) EVERY single thing I printed turned out great. I am SURE with my new computer things will go even more quickly, but the fact that this printed an 8x11 in about a minute is really fast enough for me, because the quality is outstanding and even with my old and slow computer, printing photos was faster than I could have imagined. Overall, for this Epson printer, I LOVE: the beautiful quality of the prints, the truly borderless prints this printer makes, how easy this printer is to use and to set up, how quiet this printer is compared to our other two printers, even without the ‘quiet’ function selected. I love that it handles many kinds of photo paper and card stocks of various weights. I love that there are two paper trays, and especially love the rear paper tray for the heavier card stock as well as for the large format paper and card stock. I also tend to use the rear paper feeder for any photo paper, because it just glides through, but I did print 4x6 photos on glossy stock from the lower paper cassette with perfect results. (If you are switching between the two trays, remember to switch them on the LCD screen or on the printer drop down menu. It may be obvious I prefer using the print drop-down menu to the lcd screen on the front of the printer which is rather small, in my opinion, for my aging eyes, and I am less sure using that LCD than making the choices on the print menu. If you are listening Epson: please size up the LCD screen...and in my opinion it could be more clear which choices are actually active... perhaps it was me, but occasionally I felt I was going in circles with my attempts to perform a function, such as setting as active the rear paper feed tray or chosing to shut off the WiFi network in order to try out the Ethernet connectivity. I’m thrilled with the 6 color Claria Photo HD Inks. Epson states: “Individual 6-color Claria• Photo HD Inks -- with all-new Red and Gray inks -- offer a wide color gamut and enhanced black-and-white photo printing.” Love high capacity cartridges. (*But I would love it even more if they were Epson’s EcoTank system ... I hope Epson is listening...) If you are looking for a printer that easily prints great photos, or other projects that involve heavier paper than many/most other printers can handle, that has wide format capability, and functions wirelessly or wired, even remotely using special apps for mobile printing, that has the option of high-capacity quality ink cartridges...is quiet, and operates with relative ease, look no further. It does all this while still functioning as your normal everyday printer. You’ve found a great printer! (And, being that this is new, IF I have issues in the near future and I am able, I will add to this review.) Though this printer was randomly given to me for review, I’m pretty sure I couldn’t have gotten a printer that more suits my current needs better or that I would like more! This printer meets my needs for function, quality, and creativity, right at my desk, all at a lower price point than other printers I have used in the past. “This is a review for the Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Wide-Format Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely frustrating to use Had Epson 1400 & 1430 printers - superb machines, reliable, simple, excellent print quality for thousands of prints. But... Epson does not support current Mac operating system for these, so I had to replace a perfectly good printer. This one is a malicious monster. First one defective. Manual & online support inadequate. Couple of hours of wasted phone time with poor quality tech support before replacement sent. Poorly designed. Nothing is simple. All settings done on small screen duplicating computer settings in Lightroom. Screen is small, hard to see & use. Have to set everything twice, computer & printer, so high error rate. Every setting requires scroll through many options, compared to simple point & click in computer. Control buttons are not intuitive, & instructions are sketchy. Ink consumption outrageous. Gives low ink reading prematurely. When ink is gone, instead of pausing print (like older models) it ejects print, but starts at same point mid print on new page, so I get two half prints, wasting ink & paper. Paper output slot is too narrow, so if there is any paper curl on a large print, wet print hits the top of slot & smudges. Ink cartridge release buttons narrow & hard to access. Instead of just replacing an empty cartridge, have to go through multiple steps on tiny screen. Prints are superb, but using it is torture, much worse than older models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement Printer I recently purchased an XP 15000 in late May 2020 and it incurred damage to the paper output tray and I have no idea how that happened. Epson replaced the printer. I hadn't used the printer much except to test a 4" x 6" photo, which came out very nice, and a couple of sheets of plain 8.5" x 11" paper. The only issue I had was with printing envelopes. Although I set up the the print job correctly via the user manual's instructions, which wasn't difficult, the printer was planning on printing a CD/DVD. I was attempting to get help with this issue through tech support when the output tray broke. I haven't tried to print an envelope with this replacement printer, yet. I didn't realize that the printer does not do copying, which I thought it had and that I need. This printer requires a lot of direct interaction with the control panel instead of with dialog boxes on the PC, which is a bother if the printer isn't located near the PC, requiring you to get up and down a lot. It's difficult when you're disabled. Because of the paper output tray damage I am vigilant, now, to go over to the control panel to close the tray. It doesn't do it automatically and it can't be done through a dialog box on the PC. It appears this printer is designed for a particular audience, like photographers. It isn't an 'All-in-One' type for the everyday user. I wouldn't recommend this printer for common home office users. It may be useful for paper crafters because of its ability to use wider and heavier format print media and, of course, for printing photographs. To be honest, I was attracted by the possibility of printing on watercolor paper and overlooked features that most printers have, like making copies. I wish I hadn't purchased this model and had continued to search for a printer more to my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major Upgrade I replaced my R1800 wide format photo printer with the XP-15000. I had purchased the R1800 over 15 years ago and had great service out of it. I was looking to replace it with a new wide format photo printer. I am a hobbyist photographer and I enjoy taking photos of friends and family. I have already used the new printer for Easter 2020 photo projects for some friends of mine. I am extremely pleased with the prints produced by this printer. I would highly recommend this printer for any hobbyist photographer. It is very versatile on the size of prints it can produce and the mediums it can print on. The inks are relatively inexpensive but produce a high quality print.

After 6 months - the ink maintenance box needs to be replaced already but the part is not available anywhere. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectacular prints, high ink consumption & terrible loading I love the quality of the prints from this printer. They have real depth and an amazing amount of tonality for a printer with so few inks. However it does eat ink at a greater rate then the 1900 I am replacing and the cassette loading is terrible. I have to continually play with it to get it to load 8x10's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value and amazing photos After using the printer for over a month and printing at all sizes I can say that the printer is excellent value for the price ant the photo output is brilliant. Lots of complements from friends and colleagues. Paper handling is good, I use a lot of 8.5x11 and 13x19 photopaper and matte finish. I like the separate inks for black and grey. Ink cartridges are inexpensive but make sure to have lots available as big prints use a lot of ink. Costco photo prints are cheaper but this printer is more impressive and very handy. Actual rating is 4.5 but would give 5 stars if this had ecotanks. Size is also convenient compared to my previous R2400.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Product After reading several reviews I decided to try the XP-15000 Wide Format Printer. Big mistake! After setting it up and doing all the steps to check printhead alignment, etc., every photo I tried printing had banding issues. I tried printhead alignment both vertical and horizontal numerous times (wasted 40 or more sheets of print paper) to no avail. This was after I returned the first printer that was sent to me following phone conversations with EPSON support people. Following several attempts with tech support on the phone, they dispatched another printer and I returned the first one. I am returning this second printer and requesting a full refund!

This new one routinely stops printing either magenta or cyan for 6 or 7 prints. Called tech support and the woman treated me like I had never used a printer before. Realized if I just print 6 or 7 prints it eventually with start printing correctly again. Horrible tech support. These printers are not even comparable to the 1430. I owned 5 1430's over 8 years. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Printer I had a wide format Epson printer years ago and when it came time to purchase a new printer for my photography I didn’t hesitate to buy another Epson. Love the 13” x 19” size photo option. Colors are perfect. The best value. Very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Full-featured printer at a normal printer price Nice full-featured printer at an affordable price. I don't print 11x17 every day or even every month. But I can with this printer when I need to. I don't print CDs every day or even every week. But I can when I need to. As for regular printing that any printer can do, this guy gives very good clarity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits the bill The output from this printer is really impressive. It is slow, particularly when printing 13x19, so don't buy this printer if you're looking for fast output. But if you want to print your best photos in large format for a reasonable price, this fits the bill quite nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent printer for the price that I paid! I've only had it for a few weeks, but the prints are extremely pleasing to the eye. So far only 8.5 x 11's. Can't wait when I print on 13x19! So far, it satisfies my print needs before moving on to a larger format. Already have sold out of my first set of prints!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Problematic Printer Does not handle large (Epson Glossy Photo Paper - 11" x 17") paper printing projects well at all. Wastes (very expensive) large glossy paper by smearing the ink. The ink cartridges, even the XL cartridges, do not last very long and are very expensive to replace. I am very sorry I purchased this printer. The only reason I bought the XP-15000 is because my Epson XP-820 can't handle the large paper stock, but does a very good job printing everything smaller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XP-15000 I bought this over a month ago and have only one complaint. The ink capacity is lacking and even with the XL cartridges it is better but at $150 a shot it is very expensive. I wanted to order the P700 but not available. It prints very well but not happy about the ink usage and cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cannot recommend I needed an affordable printer to print 13x19" and have used previous versions of this printer for over 10 years. This XP-15000 is awful and I have never been able to do a quick print - always running into some glitch or another. I would return it if I could. I have other Epson printers - earlier versions that are simple and fast to use.

I loved that 2200, however when it finally gave up I purchased the XP- 15000. WOW the 15000 is far superior to the 2200. Outstanding prints! Glad I made the right decision.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IS THIS REALLY AN EASY TO USE PRINTER? I feel like I have come from the dark ages into a new era of printing. The Epson XP-15000 wide format printer reminds me of all the reasons I love printing my own photos and graphics. Frustrations of trying to print with my older model wide format printer resulted in the lost art of printing out any media at all. The ease of using this printer is evident from the time of taking it out of the box until the first photo is smiling back at you. Set this up for Christmas and we had our first family photos ready for framing in less than 30 minutes. The Epson XP-15000 features a built-in Wi-Fi for a wireless setup and access to many mobile printing protocols, which makes this printer accessible from home or away. A photo printer needs a good color gamut; a high resolution and small droplet size to yield a good high quality print worthy of printing which the printer will not disappoint you. It has very fast drying ink and true borderless prints. I did notice I have a wider selection of paper media that I can print to which makes it a perfect choice for me. Printed quick and flawless the very first time, which results in less ink, paper and time wasted. Photos taken with the iphone or iPad are ready for printing with just a click of a button. What could be simpler? In conclusion the Epson XP-15000 is an extremely versatile printer. It out performs the earlier predecessors from the simplicity of setting it up to the final printing. It can print 4x6, 6x8, and 8x10 or do any of the large format printing I desire. I do some poster printing and signage so if you are into that you will really appreciate this model. If I had to pick one thing I did not like it would be the keying of words on the LCD panel. Took me longer to key in the Wi-Fi password than the whole setup. To sum this up all the things I hated about printing before Epson resolved with the XP-15000. Thanks Epson. It has taken me 7 hours due to your stupid set up instructions and this is as far as i've gotten. Why can't yore people realize that not all of us are tech savvy. I am 82 and have many hobbies so I know I am not stupid. I was an electronic tech working on equipment that used tubes. Why not produce something I can plug in, turn on, register it and have it work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality This printer performs well. I love that it does borderless printing and comes with sample paper to try it out. I am also pleased with the simplicity it took to set up and get it running. My only complaint is that it shipped requiring print head alignment which took a good deal of time for better looking pictures. Speed was impressive for an inkjet printer in both color and B&W. Ink seemed to dry pretty quickly. Overall I would recommend this printer if you require photo quality prints. Rated 5 out of 5 by from There’s no way you printed these at home!!!!!!! Usually, I never have any photos as hard copies because of the hassle to get them printed. I would always have to go the nearest photo development place to get them and that sometimes is a huge hassle. Nowadays, since they’re all digital photos, I don’t feel the need to print them anyway. However, this photo printer is a huge improvement in the photo printing game. Just recently, we had a wedding in the family and this printer came in just in time! Let me tell you, the photos were absolutely phenomenal. The color quality was superb! The set up was a bit difficult because of the small screen but it is not impossible. Starting off, the first picture had vertical lines whenever the printer paused to dry. A simple setting adjustment fixed that pretty nicely. The printer fits nicely in the corner of my home right below my regular Epson printer. What can I say, they make great products. I would not say that it is compact but it does not protrude out. It a nice quaint mid-size printer. The Epson XP-15000 printer is able to print out in various formats that include the normal paper size 8x11 but also in smaller photo cards. This can be used to print on cardstock if you want to send out a nice invitation for the holidays or birthdays. This printer has 2 paper feeders, bottom and rear feeder. I feel like the rear feeder is less hassle than the bottom feeder. I had trouble printer using the bottom feeder. They would pause halfway but the paper would not get stuck. I don’t know what that is about. There is no scanner on this printer. The wifi connectivity is pretty easy and there is no extraordinary delay from the time I send the file from my device to when it starts to print. The printer cartridges are the normal ones. I wish that this printer would have had the eco tank where I can just refill when I needed it. The ink provided should be enough to print out at minimum 500 pages. Overall, this printer has provided great quality photos at an acceptable speed. I no longer have to go to a corner store to get my photos developed. I would consider this printer a valuable asset if you are big photographer and would like to print out the photos. The quality is comparable (or even better I might add) than a professional photo developer. I would definitely give this printer a 7 out of 5 stars. Yes it is THAT good! Rated 5 out of 5 by from STORE QUALITY, at HOME! The Epson Expressions photo printer far exceeded my expectations! Setting the printer up took me longer than I would have liked but once I got it set up, the rest was a breeze. My husband set it up in a pinch, and we were up and running in as little as 30 minutes. Right after getting it going, I realized I was confused as to where the paper fed through. The tray loads from the bottom of the printer and comes out in the same area. I was under the impression that it was supposed to come out from the top of the and exit through the bottom! That was my own misguided idea. Nevertheless the photo came out in the next minute; very quickly and nicely. The paper quality makes a difference in the photo printing, I’m sure, however, the printer itself is superior quality! I own a previous photo printer that after two years, began to have problems. It had never printed this well. The Epson Expressions printer also printed wirelessly! I did not have to download any specialty app. My phone had the print option readily available and my printer showed up without any lag or issue. I printed a 8.5x11 full sized, borderless print from an image on my phone. It came out just as beautiful, if not better than if I had taken it to my local drug store for printing. Not without fault for me, though. The cord is just a smidge too short for me. I run most things out of my home/office. I have everything set up vertically, so I would have liked the cord to reach so that I did not have to rearrange everything. Also, I am in the midst of trying to print from different devices, but I’d like to note that it was set up as default for me, to print on a CD/DVD TRAY. I did not even realize I could print on a cd! So initially I got an error message. Great printing thereafter! Easy to see LCD screen, convenience of using differing paper types, and will definitely get plenty of use in my home! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing photo quality I’ve had a variety of printers over the years for a few different reasons. Recently, I’ve been quite into photography and have really been gauging the quality of my printers on how well they produce my pictures. The Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 is by far at the top of my list currently as far as quality goes. First and foremost, the pictures it produces are vibrant and very clear. It also prints in a very reasonable amount of time for a picture printer. While photos are the focus, the printer can also be used for just regular purposes. Because of this, it also makes for a nice multipurpose printer for any household. Aside that, this printer is also a decent size that is neither too large or too small. It is very easy to operate and required little instruction to do so. On the negative side, I did find the screen to be a bit too small. I’m in favor of electronics with large displays for easier control. While I enjoyed the printer as a whole, I would have preferred the larger screen. Despite this, the printer was a pleasure to use, and I plan to have it for a long time! Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I needed I bought this when my previous CD printer died, and the manufacturer was not interested in helping resolve the issue. I have not had an 11x17 photo printer for several years, and decided on this printer for both capabilities. I am quite happy with the quality of the output, quiet performance and speed, but am less impressed with the provision for 11x17 paper handling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer even if the controls are a little advanced I previously had an Epson Artisan 50. It was very simple to operate and the print quality was great. With the XP-15000 I still get the great print but it makes me work a little more to get it having to make extra selections on a screen. In my mind it's just more parts that could break. KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great printer this printer is awesome...the color output is bright and crisp, and it prints very fast. It accepts 13" wide paper, although my wife only needs 12" for her scrapbooking, but it's nice to know we have some leeway. The straight-thru feed (back to front) allows for thicker paper like cardstock, again, great for scrapbooking or making greeting cards. It also says it can print 43" long paper (like for making banners), although I haven't tried that feature yet. AND, it has a built-in paper tray where you can leave standard 8.5 x 11 paper in it and print to the printer without having to feed paper from the back...i.e. it acts like a normal printer when you want it to and a specialty printer when you feed it from the back! The output tray automatically extends when the printer gets a print job...cool! only thing I don't like is every time you feed different paper from the back you have to tell it the size and paper type from the front panel...seems like the application you are printing from should pass that information for you. That anomaly aside, this is a great printer...I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wide format printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst printer I have ever had! The Epson XP-15000 printer is the most complicated and worse printer that I have purchased. This Epson XP-15000 printer can not be set to print large scale paper as described in the instructions on the printer and on the online user's guide. What ever has happened to simplicity - are the designers just justifying their job, wherein they complicate printers un-necessarily. I have owned more than ten Epson printers and I shall never purchase another Epson printer again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hardware failure before 10 days I purchased this printer based on reviews of folks who had received it for free. That in itself was a red flag to me, but I liked the features, the fact that it had a small footprint, and that it would print large format. Well, the setup was not easy and I could never get it to connect to wifi. That was not a deal breaker as I purchased a usb cable. I wanted to print some black and whites for a club competition, but no matter what I saw on my screen, or the tweeks I made in the post processing program, every photo printed with a blue hue. I finally gave up and called customer support. They had me run through a minimum 3 ink nozzle checks and cleanings before they deemed the printer had hardware failure as the cyan nozzle would not print. They offered to send me another one (charging my credit card meanwhile), but I declined and returned the printer to Best Buy as I was still within the timeframe for returns. Thank goodness the return was painless. I have decided not to buy another Epson and have researched widely for a comparable product of another brand and that is what I will be purchasing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and great quality of fine art output. Only challenge seems to be that when it sits for "too long" (as in overnight), I can't print new art without getting "error" messages. I end up having to run it through every cycle I can think of to get it back in gear. Otherwise, for consistent use and quality, it's perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great photos, but too expensive to run for photos I honestly say I cannot recommend this printer mostly due to the economic model of the ink. I got about 40 good 5x7 prints before things began to snow ball. I recently go this from the local big box office supply house for personal use. We have a laser printer, but at times, we would like to print photos, and prepare cards for which the laser doesn't look good enough. I brought it home, set it up (not too bad, but then I'm a geek) I did a few test prints to get the color and orientation the way I liked, and off I went... For about the first 30 cards. The printer warned the cyan replacement cartridge was due soon, and then two prints later, full stop. I replace the cyan. About 2 prints later, Magenta was up. And then 4 prints later Yellow. Note, I got an extra $60 as I'm aware that the setup ink is small. The yellow is where the problems began, I replaced the yellow, but then the prints didn't have any yellow in them. I stoped the job after I noticed the problem (10 cards wasted). Did the troubleshooting and the printer said I should perform a cleaning cycle.... but no dice. 4 cleaning cycles later, still no yellow ink ...and 4 more prints lost. I then remove and re-insert the yellow and then bingo, I'm running again, for a very short time. Apparently, the cleaning cycles and re-priming the yellow depleted the grey and most of red and black. Also, the new cyan and new magenta I replaced half an hour back are already down to 50%. I still have 60 cards to print. It was clear I was going to need 3 full ink-sets to run a rather modest 80 double-sided 5x7 cards. A rough calculation showed it would take me another $220 just to finish 80 cards and 10x wallet photos and 4x 3x5's. One of the very reasons I got the was for 13-19" prints for wall photos. At this point, I must wonder if even one full ink set is enough to finish even a few 13x19 prints.

The printer is compact in design measuring 18.7" x 30.9" x 16.2" making it a smart choice for a home office desk or business without taking up too much space. This is amazing in a printer that can print such large images. It comes with a simple to follow instruction manual and software dvd. Please be sure and follow the instructions by removing all packaging material to include within the paper tray. I literally had the printer unpacked and printing within 20 minutes. One of my favorite features of the Epson XP-15000 is the ability to print from literally anywhere. It is mobile friendly by downloading the Epson Connect mobile app for either Android or iOS operation. It also has its own email address allowing remote printing from any location which is ideal for business applications. The printer requires the use of Epson ink cartridges only. There are a total of 6 different cartridges allowing for more vivid and lifelike color images than a standard desktop printer. However, you will also find the printer is ideal for regular document printing as well. It is not just for image printing. There is a simple onboard screen that easily guides you through the different settings available depending on the type of printing you are doing. Select options based on paper size and type to quality of printing with a few quick selections. Overall I would recommend the Epson XP-15000 for the avid photographer or business that will give you the quality images you seek for a lower price than box store printing.
