Computrace for Lenovo Netbooks enables customers to track netbook computers and remotely wipe sensitive data if the computer is lost, stolen, or nearing the end of its lifecycle. Upon user registration for Computrace services, the user is enrolled in Lenovo Lost and Found, a feature that facilitates the process of returning a lost PC to its registered owner. This is in addition to standard Computrace theft recovery, addressing the problem of recovering a lost PC.

Typically it is managed by a company IT department. Activation - to activate the service, absolute must be provided contact and ship-to information for the end customer of the product. It is the responsibility of the Lenovo Business Partner or Distributor to provide this information to absolute directly or through Lenovo.
