Computrace Data Protection from Lenovo allows customers to track stationary, remote, and mobile computer assets and remotely wipe sensitive data if the computer is lost, stolen, or nearing the end of its lifecycle. Further, upon registration, the user is enrolled in Lenovo Lost and Found, a feature that facilitates the process of returning a lost PC to its registered owner. This is in addition to standard Computrace theft recovery, addressing the problem of recovering a lost PC.

Typically Computrace from Lenovo is managed by a company's IT department. Activation - to activate the service, Absolute must be provided contact and ship-to information for the end customer of the product. It is the responsibility of the Lenovo Business Partner or Distributor (if applicable) to provide this information to Absolute directly or through Lenovo.
