Rated 5 out of 5 bySteve10 from NothxFor a mobile printer that will be used in multiple locations, you have to essentially reinstall the printer every time you change networks - and after multiple attempts even with Canon support on the phone, it is very difficult to get it to work. You can create a "direct" connection, but that requires you to drop off the larger network, thereby losing access to internal server based documents, internet etc. You need to somehow batch the documents you need to print, drop off the larger network, install the direct connection, complete your printing and then drop off to reconnect with the network again. This is an impossibly difficult design.The only functional solution is to use a physical cable, and as an owner of a Mac with only Lightning ports, finding a single cable (Lightning to USB Male Type B is also limited.I am very disappointed in the software with this printer - the hardware seems to fit the mobile printing niche, but the inability to connect easily is very problematic.

I cannot figure out how to print wirelessly from a windows laptop. Windows, 7, 8, 10 and countless web searches, tutorials, youtube videos and still no wireless printing. There's an android app, iphone app, but no windows app. Why is there no Windows wireless app cannon? Please can anyone explain how to set up and use wireless printing with a PC? 3 stars for a great USB printer. 0 stars for a wireless printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 byManfred from A very good reliable portable printer.I purchased the IP100 over 8 years ago, and I took it on all of my business travels, I bought the battery pack, and during my travel conferences, the fellow attendees where amazed that I could print the results of the conference or meeting during the conference and meeting. With the battery pack, I did not need to find an power outlet, and I could print up to 300 copies. The best part, is that it would survive plane trips in my suit case. After 7 years of reliable service, my IP100 failed. I purchased the IP110, and it has performed just like the IP100, and the battery pack fit the IP110, so I did not have to purchase a new battery pack.

Took it to Mexico for 3 months last winter, which is the reason I bought it, to keep track of my graphs while day trading. It is not only perfect for on the road, but I have ended up using it at home instead of my more expensive Canon MG7120, which is also an excellent colour printer. The iP110 makes surprisingly good colour photo prints, but the reason I use it full time is because it is so frugal in its ink consumption, and ink is the most expensive part of owning a color printer. Buy it. It's worth the extra you'll pay for it.
