The printing is actually my favorite feature because it provides high quality printing, with a rapid page per minute print time. Although the assembly of this device was relatively simple, installing the drivers onto a PC was difficult. However, installing drivers to a Mac operating system was very easy. The product exceeds my expectations because it offers a professional printing quality in addition to the scan and copy functions. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family. The only improvement I would like to see is a link to the printer`s drivers provided my Canon in the instruction manual, with simple download instructions

If you are just using it to print then it's ok. However, there is serious flaw with this machine that renders it unable to scan or copy documents without the output being crooked.

Rated 5 out of 5 byYo Jimbo from Consistent Performance, Although a bit finickyOverall, the unit has worked well since I received it 4 months ago, Laser prints come out quickly and clear, able to print on index cards which was one of my requirements. Envelope printing also works without issue. Challenges are the scanner is finicky looking at the design it is easily identified as a design issue. The paper is fed in the scan tray by one small paper roller/feed point in the center, but nothing on either side to help the paper feed evenly. They seemed to think the guides on the edge of the tray would do this by themselves, nope, not consistently. So, any curl or dog eared edges, staple holes, folded paper, or load over 10 pages in the scanner will cause a slight drag as the page is pulled through and scans at a angle. Option is to mind the pages as they scan, Other dissapointing thing is the lack of a duplex scan to go with the duplex printer. The scanner is really, poorly designed in general, beyond that it does scan very clearly, if you get the pages to load squarely. The scanning software that comes with the unit will allow the scanned document to be corrected so it is properly in frame. Options in the same canon software allow for scanning to be saved to PDF, TIFF, PNG, JPEG/Exif, PDF (single page filesThe unit also has firmware update from the device without having to download a file, upload it to the printer and then wait for the firmware to process. It does it directly from the control panel. Nice.

I love the sleek black look of this printer and am still learning all of the features. It scans, copies and prints and does so quickly. I am amazed and how quickly it spits out a high quality image. It is also very quiet to run and so is not distracting to others in the room. It was easy to start up and connect wirelessly upon taking it out of the box and came with toner to begin printing immediately so I could start playing around with it right away. I printed some light documents as well as some pictures and they were flawless. I love the scanner/copier and that you can print and copy 2-sided. There is a screen on the front so there is no guessing about what is happening which I am also assuming is helpful in the case of an error so you don't have to wonder if you are out of ink or if a paper is jammed. It comes with a limited warranty, manual and power cord as well. I am electricity conscious so enjoyed the fact that it comes with an energy saver mode so you can feel okay about leaving it on and ready for whenever you need to use it. I have been using it for over a week now and the only thing I wish is that I could use color.

It seemed the that warmup and first copy are faster than advertised! So far I love it! (of course,get with me in a year, and we will see All prints are sharp. I also have 2 CANON color inkjets. If I have any complaints. it is the same with this printer ant others: the cost of consumables is WAY TOO HIGH! Please start lowering the price to reasonable levels. You'll thank me later!
