Product Reviews
Canon EOS 7D Mark II - digital camera EF-S 18-135mm IS STM lens is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 70.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great camera...Well built, feels great in my hands The 7D Mark II is a great camera. The auto focus in many reviews I read took time to get use to, I've had no issue with that. This is my 3rd Canon DSLR . My lenses are both crop and full frame lenses, both work awesome with this camera. My favorite 24-70mm f2.8 is a full frame lens and works great with this camera. The tank (I call it) my 70-200f2.8 is the best and performs just fine with this camera. I shoot a lot of sports action and the 10fps was what sold me. Might only get 1 or 2 great shots out of the 10 BUT you have the 1 or 2 you need. The duel card slots are a plus, I like the speed of the CF but also it's nice to have the SD as a back up, never running out of card space. You can also add a WIFI card in the SD slot. Anybody looking for professional photos on a crop sensor camera this is where you want to go. With this camera you can use both lenses...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I Wish I Had Stuck With My Old 50D Bought this about a year ago and I can't say I'm impressed. I have had a higher throwaway rate with this camera than I did with either my 40 or 50D.The autofocus system, even when set to illuminate, does not provide for easy tracking for a moving object. I've used both zone tracking and single-point focusing and the results have been largely the same--disappointing overall. Since I can't sent it back, I'm thinking seriously of cutting my losses and just selling this thing for whatever I can get for it and going back to the 50D full-time. The 7D does not appear to be an upgrade by any means.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great camera! I needed a second camera. I'm presently using a Canon 70D and I'm always outside in various adverse weather conditions, so I needed a camera that was high quality and would stand up to the conditions that I found myself in. This camera does that and more. The images are excellent! It was a bit of a learning curve...my 70D is so easy to control with the touch screen. Once I got the hang of this is was so easy also. Some of the bad reviews mentioned auto-focussing problems...the images weren't sharp. I haven't had any problems with mine. You should read the section on auto focus carefully. It's possible that the reviewers weren't using the correct settings for what they were trying to do. Also, auto focus works best at certain f-stops and lighting conditions. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the 7D MkII and recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade . By the way...it has now become my primary camera!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a durable camera real disappointment I bought this camera less than two years ago, and it is already not functional. Needs a new censor and circuit board. I only use the camera as a hobby in order to take nature photos and I do take great care of my equipment. I am thoroughly disappointed. Had same issues with the 40D model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Overall Performance I have only used this camera in my film class in High School, but I am a good photographer that is familiar with high-end brand cameras, including a (very) old Canon film camera and I know what to look for. This camera has so many more features in it than do most professional lineups, and the images were way better than I had expected. From the accurate colors of the Live View to the ability to record 60fps in Full HD, Canon has sure strove to keep up their reputation of making the best cameras available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The AF is Amazing! Initially, I was hesitant to purchase the camera based on the numerous complaints of AF issues. In short, it's the best focusing camera I've owned to date. I'm sure the newer generation of cameras will surpass it, but that takes nothing away from the performance that it brought to the table at this price point. I love the customization available for the various buttons and dials. The customization well implemented and easy to use. The AF Setup is a little more tricky to get perfect, but you can honestly leave it in a basic case and still have stellar performance. I sometimes make the correlation to the 5DS, personally I see it as a crop version of the 5DS with tons of speed. With similar pixel density (pixels per inch) and nearly identical layouts and many overlapping features, I find switching between the two easy and intuitive. Overall, great camera.
