I do love my Canon 6D for landscapes as you get the full wide angle view rather than the cropped view.For birding and sports, this with the Canon 100 400mm Mark II lens is amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 byCAmoss from Not At All What I ExpectedWorst Buying Decision I Ever Made. . .Bought the 7D Mark II (Body Only as an upgrade over my old 50D. VERY disappointing. Autofocus is erratic and cannot lock in, particularly in Servo mode. I sent the camera to Canon before the warranty expired, and course, they claimed it was in perfect working order. When I got it back,, the results were no better with either single-point AF or zone. Now the warranty has expired and I imagine it'll cost me several hundred dollars for a vaguely worded diagnosis/repair with no guarantee that the problem will actually be remedied. If I didn't have a considerable amount of money tied up in Canon lenses, I'd be through with Canon cameras.

I spent the year learning the camera and taking some of the best photos I've had ever taken. I then decided that I wanted to go to the next level and started to research higher end cameras. I read every review and weighed all the options, I decided on the 7D Mark II. I have now had the camera for several months now and I have to say "I could not be happier" the photos I am getting are absolutely stunning! I am not going to go into the cameras features, there is ample info on this site about it but will say that the camera is easy to use and very fast. I just recently added the wifi card and have configured both my iPhone and iPad to control the camera. This will give me added control when taking landscapes and studio work. The 7D Mark II is just an AWESOME camera.

I used the canon 70-300 mm 1.4 and I got some fantastic shots. With My camera and lens I was able to capture full length on coming and quickly zoom for a close up of the runner and they have some speed. As a matter of fact the Photogrspher I was working under headed to Best Buy and purchased the exact camera and lens!
