Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extend Your HDMI Cables to New Heights Ever go to place that new component and suddenly realize that your HDMI cable is just a bit too short? But you already have an extra HDMI cable or you don't wish or need the next full-size (longer) HDMI cable. This handy coupler is the next best thing to a truly customized cable. Use this high quality coupler to join two HDMI cables to create the perfect length. I did and used the coupler to create a customized cable run for my new DVD player. Better yet, I was able to use an existing HDMI cable by joining it to the shorter HDMI cable that came with the unit. Sometimes the simplest solution does work and saves money in the end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Necessary Prodcut for Special Situation I would be the first to say that I would prefer having a Point to Point connection without adapters; however, with that said, the situation that called for the use of this product was special and this was a great solution. Fortunately the run wasn't too long, but the HDMI cable was run under a house and through a wall (previous owner). The length of the cable used cause the HDMI cable to sit almost vertical in the wall and a pain to try to reach the receiver and equipment. Instead, I was able to use this little guy to extend the connection properly without bending the HDMI connector. Great product, great quality. As with any extension cord, however, I would encourage the user to cover the connection with an extension cord cover of some kind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again This coupler is absolutely lossless in my estimation. I purchased it for use in coupling two HDMI cables from a computer to an HD projector. I previously used standard video cables for my feed and didn't realize how much loss I was incurring until I went to the HDMI connections. The picture is brighter and sharper. This coupler is everything it is advertised to be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a very necessary item This little item can save considerable money when compared to the cost of purchasing a longer cable just for the sake of adding a couple of feet to the one you have now. Important to remember that hi speed HDMI cables can not be "strung" together without signal degradation over more than 15 or 20 feet. These connectors will serve well as an alternative to running an entirely new cable.
