Works well when it works
My new Dell only has an HDMI port for an external monitor so I ordered this cable to connect using the monitor's DVI connection. It didn't immediately work, and I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out what settings were wrong. Finally I rebooted, and behold, I was in business. After the laptop went to sleep and I woke it back up, the monitor no longer worked, but rebooting took care of it.
