nice labeler
the labeler 3works fine but I wish it would not waste so much tape at the beginning and end of each label.

Easy to use!
The product is easy to use and convenient to carry along with due to it's portability. However, the battery easily drains out after just a few prints. I wished they made the item rechargeable.

Good for its purpose, but...
This remains a dependable item in my home office. It does its job with good durable labels that last. My one major issue with this is the amount of tape it consumes between uses. Cumulative leads over time reveal a considerable fraction of tape wasted in each cartridge.

PT-1090BK is great!
This label maker exceded my expectations. I bought it to label my electronics cables. I have found many more uses for it. I wish that I had purchased one sooner!

Great Quality for a Great Price
After having used the PT-1700 for many years, it was nice to see Brother have a smaller unit that did the same quality work . I look forward to using the PT-1090BK for many years to come.
What I did do as a minor modification was to put a rough-sided velcro strip on either side of the casing so when I hold the labeler I will have a better grip when using it so it won't slip out of my
hand.

Saved me a lot of money
I was thrilled to learn that this product was available! I use my label maker a lot. Overtime, I have had to change the batteries and the label cartridges, but that was about the extent of "maintenance" requirement. When the cutting blade slowly gave out, I began cutting the strips with a pair of scissors. It was fine, just not ideal. Then I had a project where I needed to print a lot of labels and cutting them magnified how inconsistent the length of the label were. I thought my only recourse was to purchase a new machine; and I did. At 3+ times the cost. The new label maker arrived and it was great ~ it had a gazillion options (from the color and size of font to the decorations that the labels could have on them)!! Way more than I needed. In setting up the new machine with batteries (not included) and label cartridge, it mentioned that the blade could be replaced. I set out and found this nifty gadget ~ the installation was super easy, and it works great. I have only 2 complaints . . . it cost more to ship than the actual price of the product &&& the shipping company "delayed" the arrival of this product over twice the amount of time advertised by the company. Secondly, once the product was not received in the allotted time; my phone call to the Representative of the company was never returned. So, great product, easy to install, Customer Service, not so great.
