Blue Coat Cloud Data Protection Integration Server is an optional component. It acts as a reverse proxy, and allows for connectivity to the Blue Coat Cloud Data Protection Server for remote users and applications.
The Integration Server can be installed internally or externally, and typically it is deployed in a DMZ. It provides features that simplify the deployment of the solution when users move beyond the internal network to remote work locations. It also enables interoperability with other critical security functionality such as Single Sign-On to SaaS cloud applications using SAML.
If this optional component is not used, the Blue Coat Cloud Data Protection Server must be added to the organization's existing Internet proxy chain to allow it to intercept data destined for a SaaS cloud application.
