Avaya VDI Agent extends secure, reliable, high-quality voice service to contact center agent devices while simplifying Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) management. VDI Agent utilizes the media card on the VDI brick on PC a users' station to sidestep these issues, bypassing the voice and media transportation in the virtual machine. This is done by using a shared control protocol between the client in the data center and the local client on the VDI brick or PC itself, helping ensure that QoS is preserved for the duration of the call.
