Great way to turn an iMac into a second monitor

It works
Needed this to get more mileage out of my thunderbolt display upgrading to a new Apple laptop with USB-c ports. This gizmo does the trick. What would be swell is if there were a version of this that also adapted the MagSafe power cable (from the Apple display) as well, that would really keep things tidy.

Great adapter, works perfectly!
This Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter worked exactly as I hoped. It supports Thunderbolt 1 devices.
I connected this adapter to the discontinued Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter so I have: Thunderbolt 3 > Thunderbolt > FW 800 > FW 9 pin to 4 pin cable > old Digital 8 HandyCam.
I had a number of old tapes with digital home movies I never finished importing to my hard drive back when I still had a computer with FireWire ports.

tracking issues with CDW
tracking shipment was really disappointing, no one knew the status of shipment. took more than 2 weeks for it be delivered and 2 days after it was delivered someone reached out to me to check on the status.
apple thunderbolt itself works perfectly, no issues
