Good Pad
Cooling Pad is compact and quiet compared with other cooling pads. It does a good job of cooling compared with others too as measured by a temperature app on my laptop (Dell Precision 3351. The blue light is nice because it lets you know at a glance if your computer is running or not.

Use for a 15" maybe not a 17".
Seems way to small for a 17" , looks like a better fit for a 15". Lights are way to bright and no off switch. Other than that I guess it works. Does not fit mine .

Keeps me and my laptop cool!
This cooling pad is well with the 20.00 I spent! I would always sweat from my new laptop getting very warm. I did an online chat with a Dell rep and they recommended this cooling pad. I no longer sweat from my warm laptop!

So far, so good
So far so good. Use it on a older "back-up" Dell windows 7 with virtual Xp mode for older programs i still occasionally use. That Laptop that would overheat fairly quickly. So far fan has keep it cool to function when needed. Actually left laptop on for 24 hours to test with no overheating. So that's why the 3 stars as not sure on actual fan's lifespan because of very limited use.

A must buy for a Laptop that heats up
This is an amazing solution to my ever heating Laptop that runs about ~10 hours a day officially. Definitely it runs more than that.
I can now use my laptop in bed and it will not shutdown or restart due to increase in temperature.
My Laptop Battery was swollen due to over-heating and this pad keeps my Laptop cool.

Good fan, l but could use some design improvement
Very good cooling pad in general. Wish the over design profile can little bit more slim. Also, a switch to turn the fan on or off would be wonderful so we don't have to unplug from the USB port.

Pretty decent; pants required
Pros: runs quiet, cools well, decisively corrected the swampy, sweaty, uncomfortable situation that was brewing down there. Cons: some sharp edges - seems more designed for a desktop than comfortable laptop experience. Guess I have to wear pants for those video conference calls after all... All in all, still a really good value.

17" Cooling Pad by "Aluratek" - Thumbs-Up !
perfect fit for my 15" Latitude 5501 ( rests a bit high off the table surface ) so adding a sandbag-wrist-sock is helpful ... only gripe is the right-angle-cord on the usb power plug interferes with the adjacent port(s) ... fan blades aren't completely silent, but a moderate "whisper" ... definately not a "traveler" but an excellent permanent desk design !

Quality of the cool pad is good but the fan(s) noise factor not so much
- quality of the pad is 2 THUMBS UP
- Fan(s noise factor quality is 2 THUMBS DOWN due to being too loud. I was going to take it apart and spray some W-D40 but there are no screws to dismantle the pad so no ..and on the fence on whether to pry open the knotches
- Quality of the fan(s) as far as cooling power 2 THUMBS UP
- lastly 1 THUMPS UP and 1 THUMBS DOWN due to if I didn't save the holding ban from my other cooler...my lap top would be slipping all over the place. Would recommend non-stick material around the edge/border of the pad.

Great Value
This cooling pad does a great job cooling my 12 & 14 inch laptops. I believe that a 15.6" laptop would be the pad's max. It seems quite durable with no folding legs to break (as happened to my last pad and all-metal construction. An on/off switch on the LED would have been nice, but the color nor brightness isn't overly obnoxious. I would have preferred a longer USB power cord, but for $16 it's a great value!

I'd be happier with it if it didn't have bright LEDs. Or if I could turn off the LEDs. Why do all these cooling pad vendors think we want LEDs?!?

Terrible design. Even IF the fans cooled the laptop slightly the design of the cooling pad is such that the laptop always slides off unless you hold it on, which is very uncomfortable. I ended up not using it and getting a refund. Save your money.

Great Cooling Pad!!
Super lightweight and quiet when running. It has a blue light that is calming and not like daggers in the eyes (like the E.T. parking lot at Universal, Angelinos will get it). Really love it!
