APC’s Line-R voltage regulator automatically protects sensitive electronic devices by regulating utility voltage during brownouts, power sags and over-voltages to safe levels, helping to ensure their longest possible life. This units supplies 1200 watts of continuous, regulated AC power. It features a voltage selector switch so it can be used in regions with 110V, 120V and 127V AC utility power. It has four surge protected power outlets, and a combination power switch/circuit breaker for convenience and overload protection.

Great Product, but *Think* before you Buy!
Automatic Voltage Regulation devices (AVR) are great for electrical environments with poor quality AC power. This one works great and is quite economical. However, it can do very little when blackout conditions occur. I think it makes more sense to spend just a bit more and purchase a UPS for protection of sensitive electronic loads. A UPS will provide the same, if not better, AVR protection, and also allows for a controlled and gentle shutdown when total power loss conditions occur.

Great Product
This is a great solution.
I used to run a UPS and loved how it always ensured I got the proper voltage to my devices, but I hated having to buy new batteries every couple of years.
I also wanted better protection than a standard surge suppressor would allow.
I have been running numerous Line-R 1200 units for over 10 years and am very pleased with their performance. During the summer months when everyone on the grid is running their aircon I am always seeing this trip over to transformer mode, protecting my electronics from under-voltage/brownout conditions.
Job well done APC!

very straightforward
this product was simple to set up, did exactly what I wanted it to. And hopefully will give me many years of protection. I have a high end piece of audio equipment that was tripping ofline for an unknown reason. the manufactur informed me that there was most likely a over voltage situation. Sure enough after plugging this device in, the lights indicated exactly that, and now the sound system is working flawlessly.

Off grid- works in reverse too
I am 100% off grid with Solar, when I run a washing machine the power fluctuations to my whole house are horrendous as the solar inverter tries to keep up with the On-OFF cycles of the AC motor loads. I purchased a few APC 1200 Line R regulators to protect my equipment. Then I had a thought... what if I used it to regulate the voltage to the washing machine. This goes against the instructions and not what it is intended for. I run a 450W washing machine 1200 regulator, so there is a bit off buffer there for the inductive loads... It works perfectly and no more flashing lights and voltage spikes through the house.

Solid Line Voltage Regulator
This is the second Line-R 1200VA regulator that I've purchased. The first protects my entertainment center. The one I just bought protects my Internet Wi-Fi radio. These units work like a champ and are relatively inexpensive. When my house voltage is too low (often) or too high, I can hear the transformer "switching gears" to perform its job. I've not lost a device to brown-outs so far.

Great product to protect from brownouts!
Awesome little product helps protect against brownouts and overvoltages. As much as you spend on your electronics how can you not need this? Highly recommended!

Okay for the value
This product is easy to use, but sometimes arrives with a broken case. I recommend shipping on a skid to ensure the units are not broken.

Saved my $3000 flat screen TV
Many years ago I lost a $3000 flat screen TV due to voltage spikes which fortunately was replaced while under warranty. Bought one of these and the replacement TV lasted another 15 years!

Seems to work but it could be better.
+/- 10% voltage variation is a rather wide range. Would be better if it were of a narrower range, such as +/- 5%.

Excellent for the price - for what it is.
I bought two of these - both for pc's in my house with dirty power. The house is old and is admittedly at the end of the power 'food chain' for the system (19 mi from nearest substation per power lineman). There is an industrial plant several miles up the road on the same power system as we are, and the electricity "bounces" all over the place. These keep it within nominal range. I use them in front of UPS power, and I set the UPS to monitor the input voltage at all times. I can tell what the incoming voltage is at a glance. Thanks APC.

I used this in-between a generator and a UPS to clean up / stabilize the power so the UPS didn't cycle on and off as other loads punched the generator from AC units etc. It has worked really well for this. Cons? It comes in 1990's computer tower beige.

This product is basically a box of wire with some lights on the front. I purchased this product to go between the wall and my UPS in order to provide constant line voltage when running on a backup generator. The issue was that my UPS was blocking its outlets when the incoming voltage was too high. The issue with this product is that it only regulates the voltage up or down when the voltage is out by either 6 volts or 6 % (I cannot remember which). If the voltage is say 125Volts the unit does absolutely nothing as 125Volts is within its allowed operating range of +/- 6 volts or 6%. The downside is that my UPS shuts off its outlets at + 5 volts so the unit was absolutely useless.
