The unit does not hold any backup protection function and shuts off with a single IMAC attached. I called support several times only to get a never-ending waiting time. I hope to get help or look for another manufacturer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great With Bonus Coil Whine I purchased the BE600M1 a few weeks ago to protect my Plex server. It paied off almost immediately when a car accident knocked out power to my building. The coil whine coming from the usb charging port on the other hand is proving to be a huge deal breaker for me. When the living room is quiet all I hear is a high-pitched (12kHz-18kHz whine coming from the unit. It is driving me crazy. Would not reccomend. For me this unit is an external Tinnitus generator with a battery backup.

I just gave away my ancient, very heavy 2005 APC 650 BKC50MC Back UPS U Unit, and got the new APC Back-UPS 600VA 7-Outlet/1-USB Battery Back-Up and Surge Protector Unit, and it works wonderfully, and was so easy to install. I can't believe the weight and size difference. Amazing.

But this tool came in handy during a storm that disconnected internet services and the power went out for a few hours.. she worked like a charm thanks GoHealth also charges pretty much anything just like a smaller version generator

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, Robust, Capable and Reassuring I never had a UPS before but always wanted one, so when I bought a new laptop from Dell, I also purchased this unit. Being able to use it gives me a feeling of being protected, especially as my apartment complex is older, as is the electric grid around here. The included app shows many details and reports, and even with two laptops and a cellphone plugged in, there is plenty of room for growth- its only using about 50 watts total, and the rated capacity is over 300.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mr. I'm using this unit to protect my DVR and receiver because a even a momentary interruption in the power will cause the receiver to reboot which I find a real pain. I purchased this unit because I had an old APC unit in the same place but it finally gave up. I don't know how old the old unit was but I would guess about 20 years old. I've always used APC products when I could get them. I have a different APC backup on my computer. I've never had a problem with APC products and don't expect to with this one.

Instead what I've gotten is an automatic storm detector and simply a very expensive surge protector, because it trips every time I have a surge and still restarts/shuts down my computer. I bought a UPC, versus a surge protector, SPECIFICALLY SO THAT I COULD HAVE POWER. I have had this product for just about 9 months, and on 5 separate occasions now it has failed to do the one thing I bought it for. The battery works great, if it simply gets unplugged from the wall, but does not turn on if the power is surged by a storm. Not the quality of product I want.

But then we had 3 power failures in one afternoon, so I realized it was time to get another back up supply. APC has always been great so I bought a BE600M1. No problems installing. Everything seemed straight forward. Now, however, after it being in for a couple of days, I do have a concern with it going into sleep mode in relatively short time. And this morning was a real issue as it went into sleep mode and when I tried to get it out, it immediately returned to sleep mode........within 5 seconds. it's a great product and I like the piece of mind that it gives me. But I'm now thinking of uninstalling the software and disconnecting the usb cable. As long as it continues to give power when the power goes out,it'll do it';s job. I just need enough time to walk into the room and turn the computer off manually. That's the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. The software is too complicated and not user friendly.

A storm hit just last week and we lost power for a whole week! I plugged my phone into the UPS as well as my computer and I was able to get news updates from our governor about shelters and when it was safe to go outside. I've already bought another for my wife's computer in the den! I highly recommend this to anyone who is under threat of losing power!

The only down side I dislike is, not having the "Onboard" system Info like what Cyberlink has - I am not referring to software installed but rather on the APC device itself. The only reason why I obtained this is my previous experience of usage of APC in US/FED Government. It's a pretty reliable device; never had issues with them for ages.

This unit is on my TV set and cable box to stop surges and keep the power up during interruptions. It does a great job. Without it, I would have to suffer through long interruptions while the cable box reboots after even a momentary outage.

I installed the first at my access point to ensure safety for my modem, router and NAS and now have installed this one at my work station for use with all of my main devices - computer, screen, docking station. USB connected to my PC running PowerChute , usb charging my Vape and cell phone. Everything is running like an absolute dream!

Other then that. I like the back up. The tall profile fits better into areas that are out of the way....but still visible. There are plenty of ports for what needs to be plugged in. The USB port is also a big plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely recommend I work in an old building and the breaker trips frequently when the microwave and/or toaster oven is being used and before having this my computer would go off when it happened. Since having this I no longer have that problem and it's great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up and works great! This is perfect. It has a few features more than what I needed but you never know - maybe one day... It was easy to set up. Just hook up the battery, plug it in and then attach your devices. Took a grant total of about 5 minutes.

The reason I had my first one was because my computer was fried once during a close thunderstorm. I feel so much safer with my technology equipment with this product.
