The charging cord it comes with is too short, but they always are, and I have long ones for my iPad already. My only real complaint is that the finish doesn’t seem to stay on very long.

After initial success, we were extremely frustrated when the stylus would not accept a charge. We spoke with Zagg support, who recommended we go out and purchase a second stylus, and send the first one back. This one didn't charge either, even after purchasing an additional 5V charger. We will be sending both Zaggs back — never again!!

And pen also would the same!!!!

Apart from needing to plug in to charge, no big deal I plug in the iPad after all the Zagg Stylus does it all and I love the look and feel. Not done much with it so far but enjoying it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous everyday stylus with dual tip functionality Not being a designer and not being a customer that is interested in the pressure sensitive tip needed for digitally recreating real-life artistic creations and whatnot, I found that the form & function of this stylus fits my every day tasks and uses on, not only my iPad but also any touchscreen device. It’s like having all the best features that Apple Pencil offers in an even package with better materials (metal body vs plastic), joined by clever functional design (charging port is beautifully hidden on the capacitive tip), without the useless extra advanced features that an everyday stylus doesn’t require, for a fraction of the price. Best purchase ever!

I use it normally im a university student that uses it to take notes so im disappointed at how bad and fast it worn out.

It shouldn’t be hard to give it a function where you press the button and the light blinks a few times to indicate battery life - more blinks for more life left, less blinks for less battery. There is probably a way to indicate it on the iPad itself too, though that may be more difficult than it sounds. I think this is the most expensive battery powered thing I own with no battery life indicator. The first one I got was definitely defective. Every line I drew was a dashed line no matter what I tried and the unit didn’t turn off with the button. Zagg stood by their product and sent a replacement, which works wonderfully. 5 stars to Zagg. 2 stars to Zagg’s support website. Go to the main page, click on support, and there’s 5 categories, none of which match the stylus. If you sell a product, make sure the support website has it. Fortunately, the Zagg folks got back to me quickly when I contacted them. 5 stars to them.

My wife was complaining that the audible tap from the iPencil was annoying. I am currently using both to see which stylus point is preferable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A less expensive alternative First off, this Pro Stylus has a very sturdy feel. It's not a piece of hollow aluminum that feels lightweight and cheap. It feels like quality. The rubber end is the best quality I've experienced in any stylus. Like the Apple Pencil, it has a flat edge that will magnetically attached itself to the side of your iPad Pro. However, unlike the Apple Pencil, attaching it to your iPad will not charge it. It charges through a neatly hidden USB-C charging port. Personally, I would rather have the option of charging it via my iPad. It's annoying when the battery runs out and a power source is not readily available. Although Zagg claims a 9 hour battery life, I've found it to be a few hours less than that with moderate usage. The Stylus comes with a replacement tip and charging cord. A warning: when you get this Pro Stylus, force yourself into the habit of attaching to your iPad, even if you only put it down for a second or two. This thing is easy to lose, so do yourself that favor. Also, I purchased a iPad case with a flap that further secures your Stylus. Do I like this Stylus? I really do. Do I like it better than the Apple Pencil? No. The major advantage this Pro Stylus has over the Apple Pencil is the price point, which is significantly less than the Apple Pencil. Is the Apple Pencil worth nearly $50 more than the Pro Stylus? No. It's better, just not $50 better.

When I used my finger tip, there were always prints and smears on the glass shield even if I had washed my hands. I have not used the writing tip very much so far, but I'm sure it will be very useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from To be very honest with you… We have the Apple Pencil, this stylus, in addition to another third party stylus. This one not only looks elegant, but has a great feel to it. It holds more like a nice, fine pen or pencil in the hand, and it is my favorite. Everyone always asks me if it is a specialty product as they’ve never seen one that looked this nice in black. It isn’t finicky with the type of charger used, so I just plug it up to my iPad & computer charger, so one cord for all my things is needed. It would be absolutely amazing if they could manage a way to create the magnetic charge like the other product, but… I am more than pleased.

I bought it to use with sketching and CAD programs but I find my iPad is much easier to use in general and I can easily hit the smallest close boxes or precisely grab an edge of something to resize, etc. Highly recommended. You need a USBC cable to charge the pen.

The longer lasting battery is fantastic. Very professional look and feel. Would buy this over and over again and have recommended to my coworkers already.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On Off Button issue I love the layout of the stylus with two ways to write, the point and the soft end. However I cannot always make the on off switch do what it supposed to. When I want to see the charge level, the switch only turns the stylus on or off. Sometime it works and shows be the charge, but not always. I know to press the button three times to see the charge, but it doesn't always work.

I’m no artist, and I suspect the sensitivity and tight integration of the Apple Pencil to the iPad might be worth the additional cost for some. But for a basic stylus to take notes or mark up a document, this is a considerably cheaper and effective alternative.

I use it to take notes in meetings and to sketch in Sketchbook, and it definitely rivals the Apple Pencil (my gf has one) at 1/2 the cost. Very happy with my purchase.

Looks nicer, in my opinion, than the Apple Pencil and attaches to my iPad Pro magnetically. Shame it does not charge via the magnetic attachment, but that’s a small gripe considering the much lower cost. Charges via usb-c, same as the iPad.

It works exactly like an Apple Pencil and it is very smooth for taking notes doing my university lectures. The battery life gets me through at least 2+ days of note taking and never fails. I do wish it had slightly faster charging capabilities for when you're in the middle of lecture and need a quick 5 minute charge to get you through. The look and feel and is amazing. It feels very sturdy and I like the matching space grey to my iPad. One last excellent feature is holding down the power button for two seconds to see the battery range. Thanks, Zagg. Next I will say the bad. I originally purchased this stylus for my iPad Air 2 which said would be compatible on many advertisements, but when I received it, it did not work. I was very upset and had to upgrade to a new iPad to start working with it. There should be a table explicitly stating which iPads this product is compatible with. I realize there are many different models, but this is necessary for customers. There is a lot of ambiguity in only stating "iPads 2017 and newer." I saw this in a lot of other comments and this was also a concern for a few customers. Perhaps Zagg could make a stylus for older iPads? All things aside, I am now using the stylus for what it is intended for and I love it. Great price and features, just wish it had better compatibility and fast charging.

It comes off easily with moderate pressure and is easily lost. What's worse is that you can't order replacements. Zagg did offer to replace the entire unit for free (except for shipping cost).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn’t live up to the hipe If I hadn’t gotten this pencil due to a problem with a purchase that they were unwilling to correct, I wouldn’t have gotten this to begin with. It says it works with gen 1 Apple and it says it works with my new gen 4 Apple iPad Pro but it doesn’t work well with my new ipad and not at all with older models. Had to fight for months to get anything. If you buy Zagg anywhere other than Zagg they do NOT uphold their warranty’s either so buyer beware. I bought a Zagg keyboard brand new from Walmart bc price was right then found that Walmart only has 30 day warranty on Zagg keyboard and Zagg has a 1 yr. warranty but bc it was bought at Walmart they cancel their warranty period. After literally months of writing to both companies both blaming the other, Zagg gave me a coupon to buy a Zagg product!! Better than nothing but if i didn’t have another coupon that I used with their coupon I couldn’t gotten the pencil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gets the job done! I have been using the pro stylus for approx. 5 weeks now. My primary use is writing notes of my therapy sessions. I can write up to 7 notes a day, which isn't much. With that said, I am very pleased with the quality, feel, and build of the stylus. so why not give it 5 stars out of 5. The amount of times that I haut had to charge the stylus has been ridiculous, as the pen has died on me mid session. I have to charge it quiet often. And the stylus pon tips have not lasted more than 2 weeks. The tip has fallen off and exposed A piece of metal, that luckily not scratched the iPad surface. I recently had to purchase A pack of 4 tips from Amazon. Let’s see how long those last. I have never tried the Apple Pencil but I am overall very pleased with this product

The ZAGG pro stylus is well worth the money as it performs very well has a long-lasting charge and both ends are very functional and I especially like the protected charge port. The charging cable (included) could be a bot longer to allow easier charging options but that in itself is not reason enough to prevent purchase. Overall it rates an easy 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from To be very honest with you… We have the Apple Pencil, this stylus, in addition to another third party stylus. This one not only looks elegant, but has a great feel to it. It holds more like a nice, fine pen or pencil in the hand, and it is my favorite. Everyone always asks me if it is a specialty product as they've never seen one that looked this nice in black. It isn't finicky with the type of charger used, so I just plug it up to my iPad & computer charger, so one cord for all my things is needed. It would be absolutely amazing if they could manage a way to create the magnetic charge like the other product, but… I am more than pleased.
