Good overall printer.
Great overall printer for my small business. It was easy to set up wirelessly and the duplex printing is a beneficial option. The only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the cost of genuine replacement toner vs. how long it lasts.

I would not have guessed a near-laser printer could print so well. You can't really tell this is not a true color-laser printer by the output. The price is eye-catching. A very good alternative to HP's color laser printer.

No more stress!
This printer is, by far, the best brand we've ever had. The ease of use, especially changing the toner cartridges, makes me wonder why all printers aren't built this way. Right from the day I ordered this I was completely satisfied with the information about the equipment, then when it arrived it was set up in about 5 minutes and it has out performed any other brand we've tried. We will stick with Xerox from now on!!

Phaser 6510 gets it right
My phaser 6510 is a great improvement over my inkjet printer and a significant upgrade over my Phaser 3450 printer. The 6510
integrated into my office network without a hitch and has performed without any problems since installed. Colors are excellent
and print quality is very good. EVEN PHOTOS ARE VERY SATISFACTORY, providing you use proper photo paper. It is not as sharp
as my dye sublimation printer, but quite good with acceptable print quality for photos. I am very satisfied with this printer and the
ease of setup and operation of it. Network integration was flawless and completed within minutes. What more can you ask of
a color printer. THANK YOU XEROX.

We originally invested in this printer for simple yet larger than normal print jobs. Now I think it's time to upgrade to an all-in one so that we don't have to use multiple machines and take up so much space.

One week after receipt and installing on network, paper tray is no longer operable. Have to actually place paper in feed tray. This is UNSAT for a brand new printer.

Print quality and speed really good....
I was reluctant with my initial purchase and I have been pleasantly pleased with my decision. The print and speed quality has saved a lot of time with finalizing projects. I have not utilized every feature that is available as of yet, as time permits, I am eager to find out if the rest deliver as it has been suggested.

Product is nice, but sometimes complicated
Product is speedy, but not always efficient. It has had confusion of where to print to, either the bypass tray or tray 1. Whereas the setting of "print last" meaning print to the last place it printed is sometimes nice, it also can be challenging. It took my boss and I awhile to figure this out and finally have the system down, but it is hard to explain to others.

Consumes Toner VERY quickly $$$
This printer consumes an inordinate amount of toner. $$$ Also, our model will not accept third party toner cartridges. I'm not sure what type of ink coverage the quantity amounts are based on, but in some cases we barely get a couple hundred copies (never mind the 2000+ as indicated in the specs) before the toner is expired. Not pleased at all with the overall cost to run this machine.

Even better than I expected!
This printer is quiet, and very fast. It prints easily on both sides, I don't have to do anything!!! The LED quality is even better than my previous laser printer.
The printer came right out of the box and in a matter of minutes it was ready to go!!! It picked up our wi-fi on it's own, it prints easily from my phone. I am very impressed!
I have yet to be disappointed by a Xerox printer!!

The printer was easy to set up, and works great as a network printer. Print quality is outstanding, and it appears it should be economical on supplies. I like the webpage interface to the printer. I like that the printer sleeps, but wakes up fast and prints quickly. I have already recommended this printer to friends.

Great Printer for Home or small Office
We needed a new printer and did not want to waste money on low entry cost ink jet technology with expensive replacement ink. We found our answer in the Phaser 6510. Not only is a true xerographic process, but the cost of ownership is much less than standard Ink jet printers. As an added bonus, we have automatic duplexing which means we save additional money on paper and lower our waste.

Phaser 6510 DNI is great!
I replaced a perfectly good Xerox Color-Cube 8560 because I wanted a printer with duplex printing. I decided to try out 6510 DNI LED printer because of the features and to compare with the 8560. I must say the quality is just as good on standard paper, and look forward to trying it with photo paper. Should be outstanding!
The speed is very nice after the first copy and the duplexing is at full speed. I have 5 Windows 10 desktops/laptops connected through the wired and wireless Ethernet network and they work flawlessly. I can't comment on the USB connectivity, but it should be equally as good. Printing from my Android Galaxy S7 Active, is not so great, but I believe it is a mater of finding the correct app on the phone. (Still working on that). The printing is functional, but doesn't print in color. If printing direct from your Android device is your primary requirement, I would urge caution. If standard printing from a desktop or laptop through an Ethernet is your goal, I do not believe there is any better (bigger yes, but not better).

Best Printer Bargain
I have used color inkjets in my business for over 30 years. But the cost of ink and the reliability problems caused me to try the Xerox Phaser 6510. I should have made this change years ago. The 6510 is a remarkable printer: great monochrome laser printing plus great color laser printing. It is fast and its paper-handling mechanism is all but foolproof. There is nothing to criticize. It looks great, installed easily, and works perfectly on my network with multiple PC and Apple devices. My inkjet printers are now relegated to photographic work only. The 6510 has created a huge improvement in productivity.

Pleasantly Surprised
I purchased this printer on 4 January, 2018. I received it a couple of days later. The first thing I noticed was that the package was very heavy. I was expecting something flimsy, but this is pretty substantial. I had no problems setting it up and connecting it to my network. One thing I did notice, it draws some serious power. The other thing I was pleasantly surprised with was the fact that it is a Postscript Level 3, 600 ppi printer. I remember when Postscript printers cost in the thousands. This was much lighter on my pocket. The machine prints very quickly and the copy is crisp with colors pretty true to my designs. Highly recommended.

Great for home business!
So far so good for this Phaser 6510! Between volunteer work and crafting I was already getting pretty regular use out of my old printer but when I started a new venture as a Travel Planner I knew that an upgrade was needed and after much research decided on this Xerox product as one that balanced cost and quality. So far the prints are clear and quick with a good capacity for my needs. A little bit louder than my previous laser printer but not so much as to be a problem. Overall a great professional printer for light to moderate use.

This Printer has been error free.
I have owned a bunch of Xerox Laser printers and been happy with them all, except the 7100 I had before this 6510. This printer has performed without the errors. It's fast and does well. I have a few issues with programs that want to control the printing with out allowing me to use some of the Xerox features very easily.

Very happy with the printer, software so-so
The print quality of the printer is excellent. However, the software from the Xerox Experience and the printer do not always work so well together. Stick with the original Windows drivers instead, the app isn't that great. I have to continually change the settings on the printer in order for it to talk properly to the app.

I have owned this printer for about a month now and, so far, it has proven to work very well. The print quality is excellent and I had no problem configuring it to work with my network and also with my wireless devices. I use this as my primary home printer as well as for my small business. This printer is more than adequate for my needs though it might not be right for a larger office. I am still using the toner cartridges that came with it so I haven't been able to determine how often they will need to be changed and thus the cost of operation.
The purchase price was quite reasonable for what you get.

We liked it so much we bought a second one.
The Phaser 6510 has performed flawlessly since we got our first one in May 2017. It was easy to incorporate into our network. The first model has duplex printing and is perfect for out needs of printing instruction sheets that are included with our products. When we had need for a shipping label printer that would also use 2 half sheet labels, we turned to the Phaser 6510, in May 2018, again. Prints clean labels and impressive packing - check off sheets. Having 2 of the same printers give us redundancies that, so far, we have not had to take advantage of. Reliability has been 100% since installing the first Phaser.

Phaser 6510 is a Workhorse
This printer has exceeded all my expectations. Please note the size, but it is definitely a good buy and an awesome overall printer. The quality is very good, but don't expect inkjet photo perfection, laser printers just can't get as fine a detail as inkjet. That said that is the only drawback to this printer overall it excels in every other area speed, connectivity, interface, driver and customization. The list goes on. One other baffling thing is that the printer shipped with duplexing turned off. You will need to activate the duplexing i.e. two-sided printing when you get it. The Xerox app is good as well for printing from a smartphone. I can't recommend it enough and in fact, once I got this for my home I had to have it at the office, and I will have one at work as well very soon. I love that with my occasional color printing I won't have to worry about congealed ink jet print heads and can print worry-free with color toner because you don't have to worry about clogged print heads due to not printing in color for a while. I highly recommend the Xerox Phaser 6510.

This printer is definitely a step up from my inkjet as far as quality. I don't know if it's a printer thing or a laser thing but it tends to disassociate from my computer so it doesn't print when I need it to and it takes a long time to reset up and then print if I have to reboot it. Other than that, love it.

I just came off a really bad time with a new HP laser printer that worked so badly that I had to take it back. My Phaser 6510 DN set up was easy and went flawlessly. Setting up for mobile printing went the same. Print quality is awesome and have had zero problems!! And no I was not compensated for my review.

Good if you stick to one paper size
This thing is awesome, but we switch a lot between legal and letter. It is really bad for that. Anytime we switch its a constant hassle of configuring the driver/print settings and configuring the printer. More often that not we get misfeeds because of this. We love the printer, enough that we are considering getting a second one just for legal.. Double sided is great. too soon to tell on toner costs.

No More Injet Printers!
After becoming disillusioned with inkjet printers I researched laser printers and decided to buy the Phaser 6510 from Xerox. I am so pleased! This is a very fast printer, prints in vibrant colors, and with the right paper it prints images that are visually as good as any inkjet I have used. There is nothing to get clogged between uses like inkjet printers tend to do if not used regularly. This printer can sit idle for a week and immediately print with perfection when needed. Did I mention price? Wow! I was amazed at how inexpensive it is to own a QUALITY laser printer!

Never prints correctly
I am a student. I need the printer daily. I seem to have to turn the printer on and off many times for the computer to recognize it is active. I have the printer directly plugged in to my PC. PC is totally up to date; there should not be these daily complications.Printing PDFs also jams every time. I have to make 3-4 attempts to print before the printer picks up my file. Internet isnt an issue. I have to turn the printer on and off multiple times.

I love the Phaser 6510 and it handles almost anything I can throw at it and some. I am in charge of merchandise production for a stage at an upcoming event and also the photographer ! This printer has been amazing, even doing things I did not know it was capable of ! Love it and plan on adding another soon !

Great printer but make sure of the drivers
We love this printer for our contracting office. The print quality is wonderful and seems to do everything needed. Would have really liked to have it wireless capable but network connection was doable. Highly recommend to set up the most current print drivers and software first. The printer seems to lose connectivity to each computer if it is in sleep mode too long. Sometimes have to wake it up first and then it still won't print. Shut if off and let the system reconnect and then it seems ok.

Very Buggy Printer - I recommend avoiding this particular model.
Well, I had high hopes for this printer, but have only had problem after problem with this printer. It is about 2 months old and we keep having problems. The first problem we noticed is that it would not align paper probably at the tpp of the page. Sometimes it would and other times it wouldn't. I've read all the documentation with absolutely no answers. The next problem is that it wants to reset the trays to A4 verses standard 8.5x11. So, it thinks the paper is longer than it really is, so it jams. Even after resetting the printer, the test pages want to print on the wrong size.
I would recommend avoiding this printer.

Fast and High Quality
My Xerox 8560 Solid Ink printer croaked after 8 years of light service due to mechanical component failure. It always took several minutes to warm up and print, and it was always warm during standby, consuming power. While it produced great quality pictures, it was slow and expensive to operate. The 6510 prints in less than 15 seconds and is cold during standby. Print quality is equal to or better than the solid ink printer.

All I expected and more...
This printer produces copies that are crisp and vibrant. I use it to laminate things for my classroom and the pictures, signs, etc. I make are clear and very colorful. They easily capture my student's interest and lead to wonderful discussions.

This printer replaced a previous discontinued model. It has been very reliable since we received it and has performed well with a constant workload. Cost of replacement toner over time is yet to be determined but seems to be very close to what we had before.

Outstanding value in a laser printer
The Phaser 6510 was the easiest printer I have ever had to setup. Interface choices are all encompassing, USB, WiFi, and Ethernet. Quick print time from sleep mode. B&W and Color printing quality is superb for a printer in this price range. I use media from standard 20# copy paper to heavy index stock without any jamming. Wish I had bought one of these a lot sooner, as it would have eliminated much aggravation.

It is the best printer that I have owned in over 30 years of computer use. Excellent speed and color.
I have owned many printers over the last 30 plus years, starting with dot matrix, but no printer has surpassed the color and speed of this one. the solid ink is clean and the color is unsurpassed for home or business.

Ease to use and Simple to change the many features of the Printer for use.
This product has the ease of setup. Installing is so simple a 84 year old did it with no problem. Color, b/w and Front and back page print so simple and quick. that every person will be happy to invest a small amount in a "printer for all needs"!
What else is there to say?
Xerox has out done itself again.
From the Xerox Model 4 copier I used in the late 1940's to the Xerox Phaser 6510 printer, I have been pleased with the many features which the Xerox products do for the user to produce the quality result Xerox has always been known for.

The 6510 is ideal for smaller offices
I have used Xerox printers for more than 20 years. I just retired the one in my personal office after many years of use and replaced it with the 6510. I am absolutely delighted with its speed and its print quality. At first I was concerned that its trays couldn't handle the 500 sheets I had always been used to. But when I realized that I actually don't do that much printing to require a 500-sheet capacity and that I could (and did) add a second tray, that concern disappeared. It was easy to set up and produces wonderful color and black and white copies.

Vibrant Colors
The Phaser 6510 packs a big punch in a small footprint! The colors are so vibrant! It makes presentation documents more visually impactful. Additionally, the printer is easy to integrate in a personal or workgroup setting.

Nice little printer
I have had a previous Xerox printer, but due to XP coming at the time....drivers were not able to make that printers features viable any longer. I looked around for a bit and found this little guy. I always loved Laser printers over ink-jet, so this worked well for me. It has everything all printers have nowadays, but I do love being able to go right into the website (from a link or IP address given, once installed) to change any features I need to have done at that particular moment. Mostly messing around with how long the Printer should stay on before going to sleep and what-not. I know people will always say that ink-jet printers are cheaper (and they are), but they get you on buying the ink over and over. Every-time I purchased a laser printer.......I never have to replace the toner cartridges until at least 2 years. After that I get the high capacity toners. They are expensive, but last 2-3 times as long as the ones that come with the printer initially. I'd rather have toner, since all ink jet has to be used within a certain period of time. Otherwise they dry up. Regardless, you cannot go wrong with this printer. It wakes up fast, prints pages without fail and doesn't get stuck very often.

Software Needs Improvement - Made Easier to use
The fact it has separate drums and toner as well as the print quality make it a good choice. Certainly not the cheapest and not the most expensive either. Trying to switch back between envelopes and full size sheets is very tricky. You must open the software settings on the computer and fiddle with them to get the printer to understand what you are trying to do. The machine seems to have one set of settings and the software has a few different places to change the settings and it takes a lot of wasted paper to figure out the sequence of events. The software needs to be made easier to use with a one shot button asking what you really want to do and then after confirming, it should automatically change the settings. Trying to print to the edge of margins is very tricky too. I had no problem with my Samsung printer when trying to print to edges but with Xerox, you need to physically move the envelope or the image is cut off. For the Samsung, the toner and drums were so expensive and it only held 1/2 the amount of envelopes, so I thought I'd try the Xerox. The Samsung stopped feeding envelopes after about a year so that is when I started looking for a replacement and chose Xerox. When this Xerox fails, I think I'll try an HP. Why doesn't anyone make a great machine with great (easy to use) software? It seems like you get one or the other but not both.

Vivid Color and Speed are Important
Art is important to me, therefore accurate, Vivid color is a must in the performance of my printer. The Phasher 6510 delivers. The Phaser captures and produces accurate, brilliant color, the pure essence of art. There is no time for a nap between print jobs because the Phaser 6510 finishes a product in the a matter of seconds. The quality of the print is magnificent, making it difficult to distinguish the print from the original. And most of all, it will still print even if one cartridge needs to be replaced.

Excellent printer at an attractive price
This printer produces truly outstanding quality prints. We use it both for text documents and photos and both come out crisp, clean, and vivid. The printer was very simple to set up and is easy to use. It's fast and quiet as well. High Quality Color Printing
Both black and white, and Color printing are high quality.
Printing is fast whether one sided or two sided. However there is a delay on starting each print job.
The only downside I see to this printer is that it is REALLY HEAVY: 55 pounds! I hope this means it will last forever!

This product does what it is advertised to do, and it does it well.
I have used Xerox printers and copiers for years - both personally and professionally. Since 2002, their products have rarely failed me or my team. When one of their products needed repair, a technician responded the same day or the next day and had us up and running within an hour. I have two of these printers. Neither one has given me trouble, and at this point, I doubt that they will. My first Xerox printer I bought used and it lasted 15 years before I gave it away, and it is still being used today. You will not regret this purchase, and be sure to buy the printer that prints double-sided.

Faster, quieter than Brother
I replaced a Brother HL-3170CDW with this Xerox printer. I have been using it for several months now and I have found it to be outstanding. It is faster than the Brother, quieter, and the print quality is out of this world. On top of that, it cost a little less than the brother unit it replaced.
The footprint is about the same, maybe a little larger. Some reviews mention the lights dim in their office when the unit fires up, however that is not something I experienced. My office is in a building built in the '60s and the electrical is aging. So I expected a few popped circuit breakers but none have occurred.
I had one small issue that was really a question, however a call to Xerox cleared it up. Since then there hasn't been an issue.

High quality reasonably-priced
This is my second Xerox printer. The quality is as good as their more expensive printers. Solid construction easy to use and much better quality and speed than comparabley priced products with excellent customer service. Don't settle for any of those color laser wannabes.

Poor quality printer
Printer died catastrophically slightly after a year when warranty was over, and only after mild use (!). Toner cartridges are ridiculously expensive. Would not buy again or recommend to anybody.

Great Printer
I purchased the 6510 and added a paper tray. Setup was very easy for printer and additional tray. Connected printer to existing network and starting printing. I have no trouble at all and printer is in busy environment getting lots of use. I would recommend Xerox6510 for your next printer. I am considering getting another one for another location.

Really good printer but switching paper sizes is a bummer
I love my Phaser. It's super fast and the print quality is excellent. I was having trouble switching from printing letter size to legal size. My IT department purchased the optional additional paper tray to help with the switching of the paper sizes. That works well when it works. The Phaser still has trouble switching paper sizes unless you specifically tell it too. I had hoped that if the image was too large to print on letter sized paper it would automatically pick the legal and print from the legal tray. That would be my only complaint. If you only print letter size then this is the perfect printer for you.

This is the best printer that I have ever owned. It performs flawlessly and prints with very high quality. The duplex feature saves paper and is very easy to toggle on or off. I wish that I had bought a Xerox years ago.

Great color laser printer
Wanted a new printer for home for all the kids school projects. Had a black and white laser fax already and was sick and tired of dealing with color inkjets. This fit the bill for what I needed. Wish it was wireless out of the box but can get an adapter. Plugged network cable in and connected to router and was up and running in minutes. Photo quality color pictures on standard copy paper is amazing. Came with full size color toner packs that should last a long time with average home use.

Xerox 6510 inks are very expensive!
The 6510 printer is convenient, fast, easy to maintain, so far!
I have owned 5 Xerox copiers over the last 10 years. So I have been a loyal wax stick customer
I feel that the wax printer color copies are better than the 6510 color copies.
When you have a long term customer, perhaps a better ink value could be considered.

Good printer for home. Very slow when it comes to printing documents. We have 5 other Brother printers in our office and we get over a thousand incoming documents daily to print but this one would take a week to get the job done. It does a nice job on the print but just to slow for an office.

This is the second purchase. I was not using the first one as much for printing checks so I traded it for a smaller printer. It did not last long. I ordered a new one and I love it. I print around 300 checks per week and this printer does an excellent job!

Happy with setup and use, unsure of ink costs
I was intimidated about setting up a non-HP product, but am very happy we went with Xerox! I like the printer but am unsure how much ink costs will increase. The colors are slightly different but images look good. The slowness to print has been noticed, but could possibly be another issue. I'm very happy with the printer itself.

I would not recommend this product because it is not very user friendly. There are too many screens to maneuver through to change options and they are very confusing. This machine is also not a copier like other all in one machines. I like the way it prints, but if you want a combination machine, you should pick another printer/copier.

Not very satified with this product
My 6510 Phaser is plagued with a paper jam problem. I have tried different paper weights and types including Xerox papers but to no avail. It constantly jams up and has gotten so bad now that it doesn't put out one sheet of print without jamming up. The instruction manual is vague and doesn't cover much about paper jambs. I also could not get it to connect wirelessly until I spent 2 hours on the phone with a tech who was admittedly not familiar with my product. I estimate I have only ran about 10 sheets that came through successfully without jambing. Now it won't even do any sheets. This is well below the standards I have come to expect from Xerox products. You should start by writing an instruction manula that actually contains what you really need to know. Then try testing your product before releasing it for sale to the unsuspecting public.

Great printer, but doesn't remain linked to network via Ethernet. Must drop and add a few times for it to work.
I bought this printer about a month ago. Color and print are both sharp. I have it connected directly to my router via Ethernet. It isn't always recognized, so I've already had to disconnect and re-add the printer at least 3 times. Very frustrating. Otherwise, a great printer.

Horrible product so far
I just bought this unit in December 2018.
This printer, once I set it up, worked fine for a while, but now throws error codes left and right. Specifically:
This machine thinks I'm using Paper Size 215m x 315mm, even though all defaults are set to 8.5" x 11"
After setting and resetting them over and over, it constantly throws this code and prevents printing. If I tell the machine to continue to print anyway, the paper gets jammed, regardless of which tray.
Also error code 024-747 comes up. There is no reasonable fix for this. Spare yourself the frustration and do not buy this machine.

The Phase 6510 is all you need to run a successful office. You are able to prepare professional presentations in color and black and white, print clear checks and the envelopes to mail them. I love the ability to choose two sided printing to help save money. My only regret, I didn't purchase it sooner.

Pretty decent prints but... there is a power issue that makes this printer unusable
This printer draws so much power that it flickers the lights and restarts all the other electronics in the room every time it turns on. And, it turns itself on every night at 10:15. I've had many other printers - much larger, more powerful printers - on this same circuit, so I don't think the problem is with my house. I mostly just keep it turned off and use my Brother all-in-one

This is a nice printer. It was inexpensive and full featured. That is pretty awesome for a color laser printer. The only problem is the cost of consumables. The toner cartridges from Xerox are more expensive than the printer,.........by a lot!
I was able to find aftermarket toner cartridges but it was a bear trying to find ones that would actually work. Xerox changed the firmware on this printer sometime in 2018 making the old aftermarket cartridges incompatible. I did finally succeed in finding toner cartridges that actually worked.

I replaced an old xerox printer with this one. It prints great, is fast. It may take you a little while to find the setting you want.
I have my printer on a network, have an extra tray. I have the 6510DN.
Once you set up the first computer the others are very easy, I love the quality. This is my third Xerox network printer

This phaser 6510 is great. Running out of one color of ink doesn’t stop the print process. Set it up to use black only and it does just that, uses black. The color ink is saved for your color projects. It prints fast. It prints the entire manual in less than two minutes. It is quiet! The quality of the print is professional, clean , bright, and crisp. When you are finished, it goes into a sleep mode, waiting for its’ next command; when the command to print comes, it resumes its duties quickly. I am an artist and demand bright, vibrant color; with a Xerox printer, I get it!

Wakes up every so often with cryptic messages and then goes back to sleep.
Wirelessly setting it up is a no-no; go wired first and then switch to wireless.
Still, it looks like it may last forever. I hope I can find toner years from now.

Good volume of copies, prints quickly
As a small business owner, I appreciate the speed and volume of the 6510 printer. This is the 2nd one I've owned and I've having more jams and more errors than the previous printer, which I had for several years.
Upgrades: I find it very heavy to move - even to check for jams; replacement cartridges are WAY to expensive.
Best feature - easily configured, duplex, good quality copies. I had purchased a cheaper printer and quickly came back to the 6510.

The printer was very easy to install. The speed and print quality is great. The pictures of listings are clear and the details standout.
The Phaser 6510 is the ideal printer for a small office that does a lot of printing. My clients like the way images in the listing photos pop with color. The right amount of brightness and contras make the rooms look inviting. I really like the speed, which means my clients aren't wasting time waiting for a slow printer to print pages of listings for them to schedule a personal viewing of the properties. When they drive to view the neighborhood the houses are easy to identify.
My only problem is I can't readily monitor my toner usage.

Outstanding quality Xerox product on a budget
I purchased this so I could print out the memorial flyers for my mother-in-law (who passed away 15 May 2017) and it exceeded my expectations. I have only the slightest occasional error (printing over the local network) but it's to be expected until I connect directly to the printer I guess. Our network needs to be updated. So far, I'm really impressed at this powerful machine with the tiny little footprint. Would definitely recommend and would definitely purchase again.

Great printing; affordably priced
I am not a business owner and had put off purchasing a laser printer. I purchased the 6510 due to its affordability as well as its toner cost (less than others I had seen). I now only wish I had purchased the 6515. In any event, I find myself needing to highlight printouts.....highlighting an inkjet printout is a disaster (as we all know). This machine has so far proven itself a master of everything that I have thrown at it - Letter, Legal, envelopes, duplex, etc. I generally turn it off between uses as opposed to leaving it in sleep mode. From all I can tell, a great printer at a great price.

Xerox Quality Built Printer
I have had a number of other brand color laser printers in the past and they have all failed to meet my expectations, they failed prematurely or would have required costly repairs to bring them back to a usable condition.
This time around I decided to spend a little more and buy a Xerox and I am glad I did. Print quality is excellent, for home use the printer is quite fast in comparison to other color lasers that I have had in the past. Changing toner cartridges is quick, clean and painless, by far a better more user friendly design then any other competitive product that I have had.

Great Printer
I would have to say it is a great printer for both black and color. I use it mostly for printing company checks and forms. The only thing I would say its a heavy printer, you don't have to worry if anyone will steal it.

My Xerox 6510 has done everything that it's been asked to do and has done it well.
Printed on both sides of heavy stock paper.
Printed from both LAN and Network.
Print quality has been more than acceptable.
It can be a bit loud, but unless you're printing constantly this shouldn't be a problem.
Set up was remarkably easy.

This product was not as expected
Model 7100 - The printer is slow to spool up for jobs/process data. Routinely has bad prints when printing multiple pages of images in color where the ink rubs off the page. Difficult to select printing of different size paper other than default tray. Hoping this item completely breaks down soon so we can justify a replacement.

Better than expected
When my solid ink ColorQube printer needed replacing, I went straight to Xerox to get an upgrade. I wanted a printer that used solid ink blocks with the same quality and was small enough for my small home office. What Xerox offered was the perfect printer for my needs except without solid ink, only toner. My greatest surprise is that the toner is so much easier to use than the ink blocks! And this little gem of a printer is even faster and much quieter than any of the Xerox printers I've had before. So, for a small but mighty printer for your home office, I highly recommend the Phaser 6510. When you add the duplexing feature, it is perfect!

Not happy! Wasting my time and money
I am fed up with my Phaser 6510 printer.
Every so often - once a week or more - it changes the settings from US A4 to Letter size paper; and then when we try to print it tells us there's a paper jam. I don't know what the problem is, and it took me ages to find out how to sort it. (It seems that the only answer is to remove the paper tray, reinsert it, and then it allows you to change the settings back to A4.)
And it has now changed the default setting to print single-sided instead of duplex.
To be fair, it is probably the support software and information that I'm fed up with - the printer itself is fine, but I'm a pretty computer-savvy person and it's taken me hours, and I still haven't worked out how to change the defaults back to duplex. My wife - who is the main user of the printer (I'm usually at work where sorting it out is tech support's problem - it's at home that I'm tech support) just gives up or shouts at me!

DUPLEXER PROBLEM
The duplexer will not work with WIndows XP computers, and I am currently running 5 XP computers in my publishing business.

Jams regularly after 2 months.
I've never had problems with printers before this one. Most live a long and useful life. This started fine but now jams after a whopping month of use. I just looked and I've only printed 123 pages so far and it's broken. We'll see how Xerox support responds but if their website is any indication, I'm not hopeful.

I have had several home printers, all promising great things and delivering the minimum. Cartridges were extremely expensive, etc. However that all changed when I purchased the Xerox Phaser 6510. I cannot say enough, the print quality is excellent, the cost is great, the speed and pixel rates are phenominal. And most importantly the print cartridges and really inexpensive compared to that of a HP Laserjet. Not only are they inexpensive the yield is mind-blowing. This is the first printer that I have purchased wherein the factory installed printer cartridges lasted more than a week. I have not changed it since purchase over a month ago, and I print every day. Sometimes as many as 60-pages at at time.

Excellent Product
As a software developer for years I'm always delighted when the software installs without incident, and in this case I've defined the printer with direct connections, WiFi, and via a network connection. All work properly. I'm also delighted in that I haven't had to adjust page margins for anything I print repeatedly which has been an issue with other printers. The colors are crystal clear, the printer has taken various forms I use, in various weight papers, and all work flawlessly. I haven't had to change any ink cartridges yet, but the prices I see on replacements are also much better than other products. I'm a happy camper !

This is my home printer - I love it since it is ready to print when I am! My old printer would need to be unclogged before it would print and would use lots of ink in the process. My Phaser is excellent at waiting and being ready to take care of my printing needs.

This product is very slow in processing paperwork.
If you are doing a small print project this is the printer for you. If you print larger projects this printer has some downsides. Printing large quantities this printer takes quite some time and jams after so many prints, the printer does not hold a lot of paper, and when printing envelopes it bends the envelope. Overall for the printing I do I would not recommend this printer.

We bought this printer a while ago. It's treated us really good. Haven't had any problems so far. The print quality is great for business use. The toner cartridges last a long time, and we haven't had any problems with them. I will buy another when the need arises.

Solid printer, easy to use
I've owned three different Phaser printers over the years. The 6510 has been doing a very nice job for me. The print outs are good, no issues with paper handling, etc., and the ink lasts a reasonably long time. I especially like that ink cartridges are easily from the front of the printer. Would recommend.

Cost Effective To Use - With Excellent Print Quality
Have used just about every printer brand. Xerox is #1 in my opinion. In fact, Xerox is better than #2 brand on my list, by an easy 50%. The remaining printer brands I have used, do not compare to Xerox. The cost to use my 6510 is reasonable (not expensive) considering the print quality. Oh an install APP comes with it, as such installing my 6510 was effort less - 30 seconds maybe. And we all know there is a certain printer brand on the market that is a huge huge pain to install and small pain to keep running. If you buy the 6510, do NOT use off brand ink. Use only Xerox. Xerox ink will actually cost less in the long run, and will NOT plug up the printer. I know that for a fact.

A good buy
The 6510 is a quality and solid printer for small office and home. I use it mainly for doing my family and friends' taxes using turbo tax. I bought this to replace my old Xerox copier that had a broken part as a result of a paper jam. The replacement part would have have been half of the price I paid for my new copier. I'm glad that I decided to buy the 6510.

I replaced an old xerox printer with this one. It prints great, is fast. It may take you a little while to find the setting you want. I have my printer on a network, have an extra tray. I have the 6510DN. Once you set up the first computer the others are very easy, I love the quality. This is my third Xerox network printer

Exceeds our expectations
Needed to find high resolution replacement printer used for in house marketing materials. So far, the Phaser 6510 fits the bill. Early on we had issues with the resolution. After several calls to tech support, we were able to install the proper drivers to take advantage of the technology offered. It is very important to take advantage of the support offered during warranty period.

The 6510 printer is convenient, fast, easy to maintain, so far! I have owned 5 Xerox copiers over the last 10 years. So I have been a loyal wax stick customer I feel that the wax printer color copies are better than the 6510 color copies. When you have a long term customer, perhaps a better ink value could be considered. Nice Product, costly supplies!

Works fine after original configuration. Very difficult to find info how to change settings for the printer. Expect very pricey refills. Bulky and HEAVY. When printer comes on, lights dim! For its physical footprint, should have been able to handle 11 by 17.

I was reluctant with my initial purchase and I have been pleasantly pleased with my decision. The print and speed quality has saved a lot of time with finalizing projects. I replaced a Dell printer with the Phaser 6510 and I couldn't be happier with it. The Phaser 6510 works very well, prints quickly and the software interface lets me customize the output. I print contracts that need to be double-sided and I can save a preset so its just the click of the mouse to print. All in all, I would recommend the Xerox Phaser 6510.

The printer will not print in the center of the page
I got the printer to print birthday invitations, but because I am printing back to front and the printer is not printing in the center of the page I have to cut of some of the design on the invitations. I have had technicians come out on 3 occasions and none of them were able to fix the problem. I wish I got a different printer.

The Phaser 6510 was easy to setup and get going. I did have to figure out how to load the double sided printing driver because it is not in the initial install drivers, but after that everything was up and running smoothly.

A serious office quality printer at home pricing
We are occasional printers in our household and when we want a print, we want it immediately and without hassles. The 6510 does exactly what we want. It is the 6510DNI model and it is still using the original toner cartridges that were provided, as I understand, with a sample amount of toner. We print very little, and it has been in use for almost a year, and we have not had any hassles with it. Replacement toner will be costly and as with most printers is where the major cost occurs. I believe Xerox should narrow the gap between theirs and the off brand replacement toner that is out there to more like 2:1 instead of 5:1 in cost. That would take any decision off the table as to whether to chance using the off brand or go with the genuine toner replacement.

Sharp print quality in record time
I'm still learning this amazing machine. The only trouble I've had is figuring out how to print to custom sizes like recipe cards or photo albums. The print is clear, even in draft mode, the speed is incredible, and replacing cartridges is a breeze. In addition, the printer is quiet. It doesn't interrupt my thoughts when I'm printing a long manuscript, and it rarely jams or requires resetting. A note in the corner of my screen keeps me apprised of paper running low and print jobs completed, excellent help when I'm working from a remote laptop. Pictures give photographic quality, even on plain paper. I cannot say enough good things about this printer.

Phaser 6510 printer is great in my home office!
The Phaser 6510 printer has been an excellent choice for me. It is compact and simple to operate and maintain. It is very quiet and sensors handle each task efficiently. Responding with the wireless support is great. As I retired teacher I remember ditto machines getting paper jams and purple inked hands. This is such an upgrade that stays ready to quietly do the job. Xerox Concierege Program makes buying supplies and maintenance in the future extremely easy. I can contact helpful, patient tech assistance if I ever need them. This is a great buy and I am so glad I chose to buy it for my home office.

This warranty replacement model I received for the discontinued model 6022 is much bulky and heavier for my personal use. Even though with more features this model may offer I still would have been more satisfied with smaller 6022.

From the time I put this printer into service, it was there pushing prints out effortlessly and dependably! Fairly compact, it fits with a small footprint in my home office. The Xerox cartridges are reasonably priced and last a decent amount of time. Overall a fine Xerox product.

This product has execellent print quality
I have had my Phaser 6510 for 1 year. I have had minimal issues. Nothing that wasn't resolved quickly thru Xerox CS. Overall the machine has great features and the print speed is amazing. I love the way my documents print... the color is so vibrant and the appearance is professional.

This is a great printer. It is extremely convenient because of the wireless connectivity so, I am able to place the printer in a more convenient location and not have wires/cables connected to it. The print quality and speed is perfect for my needs. The support team was very helpful when I had a problem but, it was resolved quickly.

Fantastic little SOHO workhorse
I bought this model originally for two different 501(c)3 charities in which I volunteer as an IT director. They performed so well and were so user friendly, I bought this one for myself. We love it.

Great Inexpensive Laser Printer
This is my second Xerox Phaser series laser printer. Ink is more expensive than desired by overall speed, print quality and longevity are very good.

Replacement toner is high priced, basically a disposable printer. Have problems with the printer waking up when I send a print job, maybe I should read the instructions more carefully.

Out of the box this printer worked great. After about 6 months it has started jamming very frequently. I even switched brands of paper. Would not recommend.

Good machine for small business
We purchased this so we could print small runs of items on cardstock and heavy paper. It does that wonderfully. The only drawback is the size of the toner cartridges - If I have a lot of printing to do, I need to keep a couple backup sets which can be expensive. If you are only occasionally printing color for a small business or just using small amounts of accent color then this is the machine for you.

Best Small Office Printer
This printer is fast, the toner usage is efficient and economical, and the installation is simple. I got the additional lower paper tray that holds full reams of paper. Everything about the printer works well and the color quality is good but could be "brighter" on photographs. They tend to come out much darker than the images from the computer monitors - same on a wide variety of computers. But the quality is good. I still have to use inkjet printers if I need good quality on photos.

I think printer is excellent. It is probably the best printer I have owned. I think the only thing I dont like is the control panel and menus is a bit confusing to use. This unit has a lot of capabilities. I wish the menu was a bit easier to work with. Outside of this one issue the unit is fabulous. I would recoomend this unit anyone who has a small office or home printer just get it. You will not be disjointed.

Great Training Documents Start with Great Print Quality
As a trainer, I develop customized training modules for each client. I send each participant a Box of Transformation prior to the training. I include the printed training module and I have received positive review after positive review about the quality of the training material and the ability to fill in the blanks and fully engage in the material rather than being exclusively digital. Many people have thought that the material was professionally printed.

Great Product
We had a little difficulty at first but only due to the wireless capability and two machines exactly alike in the office. Once we had it figured out both function marvelously. I use my machine very heavily in a tax office and have had no issues with quality to due machine malfunctions only items that need replacing are due to my heavy use. I would love a tray that held more paper but it is only arms length away so not a huge deal. It prints in color and double sided and prints relatively fast. I would buy the product again.

Good product, but not user friendly and takes too long to print
The quality that is produced is sufficient, but it takes a long time to print. The unit is not user friendly and is hard to troubleshoot the problem.

very reliable
I have been using it now for over two years my computer is up stairs the printer is downstairs it always prints great copies fast and with no problems. even if i leave for a month. I als print from my phone and it does a great job there as well the quality of the color is great. I recommend this printer!

This product has great features for my usages
I have had different types of printers over the years for both business and private use (dot matrix, ink jet, etc.). At this point in my life (considering quality, ease of use, initial, on going, replacement cost and finished product) this printer comes out on top in all respects. Love it with just one warning...
The printer itself is wonderful--love, love, love the quality of the printing and the speed of the printing...but there's some kind of issue with it crossing wires with the IP addresses used for my VPN...my IT team hasn't figured it out yet, but they're still working on it. My laptop will lose connection to it, causing me to have to restart it, and then restart the laptop to reconnect.

I bought for small company. 4 people share. Very nice quality and easy to use. Toners are clean and easy to change. I added the 550 sheet extra tray that comes in very handy. Drop a full ream of paper in at a time and use the built in Tray for legal paper.

Great product -- Windows driver locks up and you cannot print.
You have to delete the driver and re install. Other wise the printer will wake up and it is a real pain. GREAT image quality.!!!!! If they fix the driver it would be a perfect printer.

This is a superb printer
I find that the Xerox Phaser 6510 is easily one of the very best printers I have ever owned. It helps me get my work done faster, easier and with incredible color and clarity. It is easy to use, simple to set up and no problem at all to maintain. I would recommend this printer to anyone without hesitation.

Print quality is superb with brilliant color and well-defined borders. Stand-by to print is faster than expected. A major bonus is in the replacement cartridges. Small and easy to replace, not to mention the low cost and high printed-page numbers. Easy to set up for remote and network printing. All-around value for the individual or small business owner. The Phaser 6510 is a fabulous color laser printer that produces high quality prints with sharp colors. it is a significantly superior printer compared to many of the ink jet type printers where the color cartridges require constant replacement. The printouts are fast and with the wireless feature, I am able to print from my phone or tablet. However, more importantly, the wireless feature allows me to place the printer in another location so that it is out of the way but, still easy to access. I highly recommend this printer.

Great choice for good images, fast production in a small office
My business runs a trade association and provides consulting services. My office is at home. I have three printers -- 2 B&W laser printers and the Phaser 6510. all connected wirelessly and used for business purposes as well as by my wife and myself for personal, household issues. Each printer has a primary use, but are back-ups when one of the printers isn't cooperating or is tied up with a longer print job. The Phaser is the star of our production effort, printing nice color images -- photos, infographics and charts and more -- quickly and economically. I can produce very professional documents from this copier. This is my first Xerox printer in a decade -- older products tended to be much more business- like. This is simple to use and maintain, attractive in appearance, quiet and reasonable in size. Worth every penny I paid for it and expect it to last me about four years.

This is a great printer
The startup speed is a first notable benefit. The clear instructions make setting up the printer a breeze. But best of all, the output is fast, including double-sided printing. It's colors are clear and crisp. It handles different paper sizes and weights, easily adapting or notifying me that I need to make changes. Paper jams are rare, but easily resolved and changing toner cartridges is a snap! This printer is reasonably priced and is just what I've come to expect from Xerox.

Looks Good on Paper but Far from quality
After the period is up is when we had all kinds of problems. So, Xerox would not give us support unless we paid for it. The cost of support was more than purchase of a new printer. At first the printer worked almost flawlessly, but after a while it would go into sleep mode and would not wake up. We believe that Xerox was updating the firmware and that is when all the problems started. I can not imagine that Xerox did not know the problem. Therefore I am not at all satisfied with the product and the support I received. Yes I know Xerox is in the business of making money, but sometimes you have to give a little to gain a lot. If I would have received the support from Xerox i needed Xerox would have received hundreds of dollars in free advertisements from me, but instead we won't purchase another Xerox printer & tell others Buyers beware.

This is a great lightweight machine. But give it a big job over 100 and there are issues with the fuser and rollers heating up. Repair is far more than the cost of the machine. But when if you want a workhorse look elsewhere

The Phaser is one of the best I have owned.
I have found the color to be very bright, dense and faithful to the original colors of the pictures copied. Further, the ease of use is greatly appreciated since I am not a computer guru. I am very happy with my Xerox Phaser 6500, and readily recommend it to any level of user.

I like the printer
I like the duplex, notifications it sends, also I can print from my smart phone. Toner life is ok and not too expensive. The only issue I had is with wireless adapter it was refusing to stay in place, but I use wired network and do not really need wireless.

Very reliable
I bought this product about 1 year ago for home use and it has proven to be very reliable to me. Both text and images are crisp and the wireless internet connection allows me easy ability to print from anywhere in the house from my laptop. A big selling point was the dry color toner versus the messier, more expensive liquid ink. For the money, I would rate this as a great buy for light duty printing needs.

I installed this printer in about 15 minutes ... has run excellent for the past 16 months ...no issues - easy setup - great print quality ... the printer goes into sleep mode without any user intervention but then wakes up on its own when a print job is sent to the device .. I would highly recommend this printer for any small / medium size offices ... the toner cartridges seem to have a decent life expectancy so the cost of them is to be expected so far ...

Ok, except when it won’t print
Quality is excellent, but about every two or three weeks my MacBook Pro will not find the printer. This requires me to call Xerox to help find it again. It’s a real pain in the bottom. Other than that, this is a wonderful printer. I know the support will start costing money into the first year. I guess I will just have to buy a new printer them.

The Phaser 6510 is easy to install and prints great! I am greatly satisfied with its performance and reliability, however I have to purchase only Xerox toner for it. I tried another manufacturers compatible product and the printer did not recognize it. I even had a Xerox tech come out and look at it and his recommendation was to use only Xerox toner.

Tremendous product well made with lots of capability
This is the best printer I have had. The print quality is excellent. The machine has a lot of capability what it can print. i have not even scratched the surface yet with this printer what it can do. I would suggest producing a CD/DVD or a link on line to demonstrate all the uses and how to set up the machine what it can do.

This printer is a shared printer and it works wonderfully on the network. It has a double-sided feature and the print quality is very good. It took the place of a large network printer and does a great job for our needs in a busy office setting. I recommend this printer of individual use or an office setting.

impressive printer
Impressive printer for a home office printer. However, there is the "but". Shortly after the installation and a bottom tray paper jam, the printer not longer recognizes the bottom tray., requiring paper input from the auxiliary alternate tray. Haven't been able to get the printer to recognize the primary tray. Other than that, it seen s great printer other than it's tendency to reset it's ip address.

It prints great
The only issue I see with this printer is that it is slow, and for some reason I cant get 2 sheets to print onto one sheet of paper front & back. It wont let me change it in the settings, but its set on the printer itself. I've uninstalled it, them reinstalled it and its the same thing. Its really a pain when I try making multiple copies of something and have to use twice the paper.

This printer is very easy to use connects eastly via wireless connection that allows easy printing from multiple computers, phones etc. Quality is outstanding. Do not feel that supply prices are excessive. I purchased with the optional second drawer feeder, which allows for two sizes of paper to be in the machine. Very handy. The printer does take a large footprint on the counter, but well worth it. Support staff at Xerox is outstanding very willing to assist you if you have or need assistance with figuring out how to do nonregular things with the printer.

Excellent Printer, but Setup Odd
Had this printer for several months. Quality is great. So far happy. But, I would not recommend it to friends. Setup is simply not intuitive, and is difficult. Even allowing it to print duplex is oddly difficult as I had to open yet another special app just to allow it to do so. I've had many printers over the years, but this is not an easy one to use at times.

This printer is great!
I recommend the Phaser 6510-DNI model which has built-in Wi-Fi and Air Print, so that it is easy to set up and you can print from computer, iPhone or iPad. Dry ink lets you use highlighter without smearing the print. At 35 pages per minute, it is a great business printer.

I love my Phaser 6510
I've been a Xerox Phaser printer owner for 20 years now and my Phaser 6510DNI is the latest. Print quality is consistently great and double-sided printing is a great time- and paper-saver! I'm a home user, now retired, but I wouldn't think of giving up my printer. I find it almost as necessary as my computer!

When I was shopping for a personal computer I resorted to a printer my company used 10 years ago. It was a larger faster version of the Xerox printer I was looking at but it was still a Xerox color printer and I recall loving the print quality. We used the printer at my job for proofing a magazine and it was a reliable printer so I said I've give the 6510 a try and boy am I glad I did. I don't print a lot but when I do this is the best printer I've owned for my small business. I would recommend it to anyone who has a small business who want quality prints but don't do a lot of printing. There's probably a faster model in it's class but you can't beat the print quality. I would buy it again!

We use this printer at work. I liked it so much I bought one for my home. I feel that the Total Cost of Ownership is much better than the retail consumer grade printers. I seemed like I was running out of ink all the time.

New Xerox printer
My last Xerox printer lasted 10 years at my business. It was very reliable. I just got a new one. Prints great. No issues printing double sided like my last one. The only problem is that it takes over a minute for printer to start printing which is a pain when a customer is waiting for their receipt.

Really good all-around color laser printer.
I've had many color lasers over the last decade, and tried a few color inkjets, but for my money this is the best one yet. The print quality is superb, the print speed is excellent, and the cost is nearly what a good inkjet runs today. Some of the previous printers had support for duplex printing, but had no mode for printing booklets. We sent the DOC or PDF files out to commercial printers (lately Staples) and had them process the document layout and provide booklets (mostly user's manuals) for our products. The 6510 drivers allow you to pick duplex and booklet printing, which saves me a TON of money and effort. We print color documentation for our more expensive products on demand now instead of buying a hundred or more B/W booklets and shelving them until needed. We also print our package and overpack labels on the printer instead of a B/W laser. We add color to the descriptions and background of the label. Some of our products are safety yellow, some are black, and some are camo, so the label on the product package on the shelf makes packing and shipping multiple products (and multiple orders) much easier. The pick list identifies the product and the color is in the descriptor, so we get visual verification that the product UPC is correct and the right products are going to the right customers. About the only drawback I've seen is the smaller toner cartridges. They cost about the same as, for instance the 6200 we also use, but have about half the content. That makes the printer more expensive to run, but the advantages WRT the drivers and on-line support still make it my choice.

Awesome Printer
This printer is great for my whole household, supports all types on printing via wired and wireless protocols (including printing directly from iOS and Android phones). It's fast and the quality is great. The duplex function is great too, I suggest using better quality paper for the best results.

This printer has excellent print quality, both black and color. The speed is great for a small office and the ease of use is fantastic. I would recommend this printer to individuals and small offices.

Nice Laser Printer
We have had this printer for about 4 years now and it has been the best printer we have owned. No issues and the print quality is as good today as new out of the box.

Consistently best color printer family I have found for decades
The Xerox Phaser uses uses a dry ink technology. It used to be a wax which my employees referred to as crayons. We originally purchased several at auction after the dot com bust in silicon valley and then slowly replaced all the color printers in my company with Xerox Phaser printers over the years. I have sold my company and retired and acquired this printer for home office use. It is not inexpensive to operate but then what color printer is? The Xerox is robust, has no problem sitting idle for extended time periods and then rapidly starting up. Not as fast as an inkjet though. The waxes do need to be melted initially upon startup, then it is good to go. In idle mode, it does not keep them melted which would use up supplies so it is truly off. We have never had problems with them from a reliability standpoint but if you are pushing the throughput, I wouldn't hesitate to get the Xerox support. They are geared toward providing business level support. One caution, while expensive, I would recommend getting genuine Xerox supplies. This is from experience buying non Xerox supplies, the color cartridges. They don't give the same colors and can tend to not melt the same as the genuine Xerox supplies. Not worth saving a few bucks. All in all, a durable color printer. It does not provide picture quality prints but very close. If you want a picture quality printer, I would get a specific unit. For casual picture printing and all other color printing, this printer is very hard to beat.

Deceiving prodcut/price
The price seemed great for this printer, until you receive it and have to replace all of the parts shortly after. The toner catridges do not last long and are very expensive, $100 plus. Then you have to replace the waste cartridges as well, for each color, which are another $90 plus. I have had to have a Xerox tech come fix the printer for faulty printing issues, and an extremely loud grinding noise (apparently from when the waist cartridges get full.) They had me replace the waist cartridges, and now the printer will not work at all. They recommend replacing the waist cartridges, again, along with the toner...after they were all just bought and replaced, over $500 of product for a printer that still will not work!

Poor Quality & Riddled with Problems
I had problems nearly from the beginning wiht this printer. I spent 3-4 hours on the phone with tech support due to driver and firmware issues in the first year and then a physical malfunction 13 months after I first plugged it in. Xerox's answer was to offer to send a tech to my office for $299 per hour + $. Xerox has lost me as a customer forever.

Nice Printer
This is a great printer for a small office. It does everything that it was advertised to do, and it does it quickly. I use it to do my office printing and I print on checks through the bypass tray. I only wish I would have purchased the model at scanned as well because my scanner just quit.

Flawless operation at a great price
Support is awesome too. When the wireless failed to connect after 6 months or so, the Xerox tech support sent me a replacement wireless module for free quickly.

Love the printer, but the printer is ghosting images, can't get help.
I own two of these printers. Print quality is superior to any printer I've ever owned. But, now both machines are printing ghost images on cardstock after printing four sheets.. Can't get support to help with the issue, can't find an answer on line. (could be this, could be that, etc.) I've taken the first one in for repair for another issue, it was almost the cost of a new machine. Not sure what these charges would be. The second machine is a little over a year old. I've tried cleaning sheets to no avail. The machines are not cheap and I hate to scrap them and go with another manufacturer, but the print quality is vital to my business, paper and ink is not cheap.

Good printer-poor support
Printer is fine but support especially for a Mac user stinks. Took way too long and going through too many people to get printer set up properly. Dealer and techs did not seem to know what to do to get proper driver. Why??

excellent printer but software issues
This is my second 6500. Was very pleased with the first one, so much so that I bought a second. However, there have been issues with it never coming out of sleep mode without a power cycle. Many blog posts on this issue. Xerox seems to have addressed this issue, as it happens rarely now. But sometimes it just goes away and the only fix is uninstall the printer and have Windows re-install it. Very time consuming, and this seems to happen at the most inconvenient time, of course. As far as print features (print quality, double-sided, speed, toner usage, …) absolutely top of the line, Xerox has a real winner. But you will need patience with the interface...

DOA. Never got to use it.
I ordered a Phaser 6510/DNI for my small home office, to replace an old laserjet that was becoming problematic. The Phaser was delivered and I unpacked it, and powered it up to begin configuration. On power-up it gave me an error message 092-318 and the screen said to Power the Printer Off and On. The error persisted through several power-ups so I referred to online support which said it was probably a bad yellow toner cartridge. I then phoned Xerox support and they sent me a replacement yellow toner cartridge. This did not fix the error, so I called again and they said that it might actually be the yellow drum cartridge, so they sent one of those. The error persisted with the new drum cartridge, so they sent a repair person. We weren't happy to have a visitor in the house during Covid, but he performed some diagnostics and said that the machine probably had a bad board and he would order a replacement. After he waited 20 minutes on hold for Xerox support I told him that he'd been in the home office too long due to Covid concerns. At this point I realized that I had a lemon and I returned the Phaser for a full refund, and ordered a different brand of laserjet.

This Product has a bug with its sleep mode and deep sleep mode
I would not recommended this product unless you have some corporate account or some active service contract with Xerox. There are multiple threads on the internet speaking of this "Power Saver Sleep Mode" problem and that with certain levels of support contracts, a Xerox service provider will come out in the field and replace some module. I have not been able to get to that point due to my schedule and COVID-19 craziness at this time. This printer was purchased as a back-up at the end of 2018, and sat through its warranty period until needed to be used in May of 2020. Upon its initial installation, it worked Great, that is until is sat idle for more than 10 mind and went into power saver sleep mode. It simply will not come out of this deep sleep mode. I have had it hardwired to my PC as well as paired wirelessly through our company network. It will not come out of its deep sleep power saver mode. You have to unplug it from the wall power source, and then plug it back-in to restart. In the case of using it wirelessly with a PC, I have had to uninstall and reinstall the same drivers for it to be recognized on my Windows 10 PC. The ironic thing, is that through my Samsung Android Smart Phone, I never had to reinstall the printer drivers on my phone to print wirelessly paired. I still have to unplug main power line of the printer and restart it in that manner, but it would print through my android cell after powered restart with no problem. Printing through my cell phone, has been the most reliable way to print, which is hardly acceptable for any small business. I cant see any really large business using this printer on a reliable everyday basis, without the module being fixed or serviced properly.

Print very crisp clean color copies
This printer for the price is the best small business color printer around. We have had it for about 6 months and it has not disappointed us once with quality of print jobs it has been able to produce.

Fast, Pro, Quality
I bought this printer mainly to make double page booklets but I use it for my small business as well. Although my initial idea was to use 4 pages in 1 sheet, in order to make mini booklets, I found the print time was fast so I decided to print larger fonts/images just on double-page booklets. This has worked out wonderfully. I can print 10 20-40 page documents in about 2 minutes or maybe less (I have not actually timed it). Set up was a little confusing at first and I do not like that it spits out a test page every time you turn it on but you can change this in advance settings. Setting the printer up to print double pages was confusing at first and since I dont have a CD drive on my PC, setting the drivers up was also confusing. However, once it all got configured, printing is a breeze. It takes a moment to warm up and a moment to cool down and it dims my office lights when I initially turn it on, but I suggest getting a power-surge strip to avoid that. I would not recommend plugging in more than the printer in the same outlet as the printer. Oh, it also has a GREEN option, which is nice--it is power saving and the Xerox program helps you enable to green option to save space, paper, time, laser ink, etc. Depending on the paper, the print quality varies but you can tell the laser jet is so much crisper than ink. This is awesome for presentation purposes in case it rains or someone spills something on the page, the ink won't run. The replacement cartridges were not terribly expensive. I was able to purchase 1 reload of each color and 2 of black for about $85. It is nice they have a restock option with Amazon Prime. I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking to print high quality at a fast rate without breaking the bank (faster printers cost in the thousands). Thanks Xerox!

Excellent quality prints
I use this printer with WiFi in my house... the kids can print from their laptops with no cables... they love it. The only issue we had when the printer was set to pull an IP address via DHCP from wifi ... when it would go to sleep.. it would appear to crash and we needed to unplug it to reboot. Ever since I set a static IP address.. I have observed the printer sleep.. and come back when we press the power button. Otherwise.. the quality is amazing for the price!!!!!

With a few exceptions, this printer is great all around
I got this printer because I was tired of wasting ink unclogging my inkjet printer. It's speed is wonderful, the quality of printing is great as well. I do have two objections: 1) Biggest gripe: Because I do not have a unique router link to the printer, I cannot see how much ink I have at any time. The only option I have is to print out a page that shows the status of the printer. I am plugged in via a USB cable and the software in this doesn't have a clue how to transfer status information THAT IT DOES HAVE through the USB cable. That's just dumb. I was on the phone with Xerox for almost an hour and he gave up. So even despite the speed and quality of this printer, if you want to know what the status of your ink levels are, and you are hooked up via USB, this is not the printer for you. 2) If you are doing a single page via the side panel, you also have to pull out the paper tray otherwise the default is to take paper from the tray, not from the side panel. I'd prefer it do act that since it can sense there is paper in the side panel, to NOT pull paper from the main paper tray. It's also acting dumb in this regard as well, at least this is easily solvable.

Had this same model for 2-3 years and paper started jamming. Worked well until then. Purchased a new replacement, same model, and jams out of the box. Will not buy again. Have to feed paper through bypass tray.

This unit is easy to operate, has great color and quality. The cartridges are reasonably priced, have a good life span, and are easy to change. The price of the printer itself was GREAT, this is one of the most reliable printers in the office. Thank you XEROX for a good priced, high quality, low maintenance printer..

Printer is fine, software is annyoning.
Printer is fine, but every time I change anything about my wifi, I get constant reminders to register the printer that has already been registered. I also have to use manual feed, because the tray jams all the time. I gave up on the tray.

Best printer I have ever had
My 6510 is the second 6510 that I have had. I wore out the first one. I do many types of printing from normal 8.5x11 paper to legal to card stock and door hangers to high resolution GIS mapping. Its features and ease of use compare to none. Toner is readily available and last a long time. Toner is also very easy to change and no mess!!!

Waste of vaulable time
Printer takes too long to print documents, paper always get jammed in the back of the printer, and it is not easy to remove jammed paper, there's always an ERROR alert on the simplest document. Unless you have time to wait on documents to print and for the printer to receive a transmit from your computer, Don't Waste Your Time.

I recommend the Phaser 6510 for its speed and print quality. My only negative would be the 2 part toner drum system the phaser uses, however it lasts for quite a while so the pros out way the negative.

has software and driver issues
When trying to print an open office document, the printer gets messed up. It first gets jammed, then will no longer feed from tray 1. I had to re-install the drivers for it to work properly again.

Great print quality but wireless connectivity is terrible.
We have the 6515 and the 6510 -- both with excellent print qualities but atrocious wireless connectivity. In fact, the 6515 simply refuses to scan to email. Finally, had a Xerox representative help set up a scan to folder on my computer which we can work with.

XEROX IS BEST !
I purchased this printer with some hesitation due to many bad experiences with several other brands of printers. Much to my surprise I have not had any problems with this machine. I am very pleased with its performance, "right out of the box" it has been a winner for speed and quality of print. If anyone is looking for a budget priced laser printer I would recommend the Phaser 6510 as a best choice.

Phaser 6510 is a friend
Chiefly, I love the Phaser 6510. Print quality is excellent. I wish it were easier to figure out how to change to smaller size like recipe cards or change paper type (card stock, for instance). But I've never found a good print manual, and working through the digital menu is difficult. Also, if the paper jams, it is difficult to get to the back of the device to open it. Otherwise, the color is exceptional, the print, wonderful. I'm using Windows 10, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Excellent Printer for its price range.
Having never owned a Xerox printer before, I was blown away by the quality of the print and features offered at such a competitive price. Xerox has always been associated with high end printers and office equipment so when I had the opportunity to own one I jumped at the chance. It did not disappoint. Very high print quality, exceptional speed, and the ability to duplex print in such a small box is outstanding.

Great Printer Great Price
I originally bought this printer to use for online classes, used it for printing out assignments and other assigned readings. Since I've transitioned to working at home due to the pandemic I have to use the 6510 to print reports and other work related documents .I have not had any issues, quality of printings is excellent. Prints quickly and handles all the tasks I need for working at home. Definitely recommend this printer .

Don't buy this product...terrible
Worst print experience I have ever had. I will toss it in the trash when I run out of all the toner I bought. What a total piece of junk. Never had a printer get confused and use hundreds of sheets of paper not knowing how to print an email, an adobe document, or literally anything. If the printer sits for a while, 1-2 days, then it must be powerfailed prior to use. The printer would be fairly amazing if the software wasn't so horrible. I have reloaded software, drivers, printer center to no avail. It's just TOTAL JUNK.

This product has great features, except when you need to print envelopes and use the auxiliary input tray.
Machine is an excellent printer even in color! Only drawback is when you need to print an envelope and use the Auxiliary Input Tray. The machine's brain doesn't always want to return to the normal function and makes you get out of your seat and push buttons to get it back to a normal functioning machine.

Good speed and excellent features!
I was looking for a replacement, another Xerox printer, that had more features and this one had everything I needed. Great speed and flexibility for just home use, but I wanted something that could handle almost anything I threw at it. This did it in spades. Love the website feature, where I can see what the printer is doing (how much toner is left in each color). Customer service was excellent and they send out technicians in a timely manner and fixed my problem. Wasn't even a printer problem, but it was hard to diagnose over-the-phone. It happens, but like I said. Very professional and I would recommend to anyone and I have used other printers, but Xerox will be my go to printer.

Failure rate too high
The Phaser 6510DN appears to be a bargain for a networkable printer with duplex printing capabilities, and it would be except that these printers suffer well above average catastrophic failures. We have twenty of these printers located in various classrooms and offices where I work. One printer is in my office with a bad fuser, one is in my shop and not functional or repairable. We're suffering a 10% failure rate on the Xerox Phaser 6510DN printers in our organization, this is an unacceptable failure rate. I can't recommend to anyone that they buy this printer.

Ever hear about a security patch
This has been a complicated machine that works in opposite relation to how bad I need it to work. If it's an emergency it won't work, if it's not important it works fine. I've put up with its complications until last month when all I could get was a start up sheet. I called xerox and they want to sell me a $250 security patch. If I can't find a way around this I will finally get a different printer, but I'd never recommend this complicated machine.

Awesome print quality
Print quality is amazing. Software has been a challenge without any help. The only con is the toner cartridges. The trial ones that come with it only last about 200 prints. ONE day and the yellow is out. I ordered a replacement ( super expensive) didn't fit!!! Returned and re- ordered, still didn't fit. Cannot find anyone who carries the cartridges for the 6520IDN. Even Xerox said they would have to call me back and didn't. Im stuck with a $300 paperweight. But print quality is amazing!!!!

Great Printer!
So, I was a little hesitant in getting this beast of a machine (it's size and price were a little much for me at the time) but I can say I'm happy with the decision to go for it. The print quality is a dream (coming from ink-jet printers, this is like finally being able to see after being blind) - color precision is spot on and the crispness of the lines are excellent. The speed is good (for duplex. GREAT for single-sided). The only down-side I've found is it's fiddly when printing on-network. I have it connected via ethernet to my home network and there are times when it takes a little coaxing to print - not sure if this is a printer thing or a user thing, but it is what it is. Highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for a workhorse machine.

Worst printer I've ever owned
In over 30 years and many printers this is the worst I've ever owned. Extremely hard to set paper type and print quality. MIGHT be ok if all you ever do is print on standard paper. I was never able to get the same results twice on different types of paper. Could not change settings on computer had to use confusing controls on the printer itself. I so much wanted to like this thing. Returned for refund.

Cartridge Failure
Prints great, easy to use but very short lifespan. After the starter cartridges finished, it would not recognize Xerox OEM Cartridges purchased from Staples and I'd discard the printer as it was out of warranty

Best tech for printing with toner
During the 70’s, I carried a tool-bag in the Chicago Loop for Xerox. When it comes to printing with toner, there is no better source for output quality and reliability. Love my printer. Semi-retired now, engaged in volunteer work and making fine-art prints, for myself and others.

Terrible copier
I bought this copier over a year ago and had to have a technician come out as it will not print on anything but regular paper. I bought it so I could print labels but the ink will not stick to the labels. I change it to label setting and it is even worse. They finally replaced the printer and it is not much better. This printer eats toner. I had to change one in less then a week. Very disappointed don't waste your money.

Wonderful product to have
I have two Xerox products at home - one has both a scanner and a printer and the other has just a printer (Phaser 6510- color printer). The Phaser 6510 is very easy to use, the printing quality is at the best, the speed of printing is excellent. The feature that I really like (that was missing the first product I mentioned) is WiFi printing that is available from the phone. Printing on both sides is also available.

Good Printer, Bad Support
Almost a year ago I tried to get support for a warranty issue, and today 360 days later I am trying again. My machine was registered with Xerox several times and every time I call for support they claim it is out of warranty or they have no records to support my warranty claim. If you buy a printer from this company expect to receive very bad or no support.

Great printer, printer driver has user malevolent (the opposite of user friendly) error handling
The printer itself is great -- fast and excellent print quality. The printer driver, however, doesn't do the printer justice IMHO. My main objection is the terrible error handling. Too often the user will get an error message on their machine like "Problem with paper". So I go to the printer: no error message on the printer panel, no indication of the problem. I go to the printer admin page -- no error message at all there either. So, the user can't print their job and there's no comprehensible reason why not. Now what? (Reboot the printer, reboot the client machine, clean out the printer queue, resubmit the same job (without any paper or configuration changes) -- now it works. What was wrong? We'll never know.) Another problem is error messages like "Error 123-456", that's all, including on the printer admin page. Why do I have to Google for that? I understand that firmware space on the printer itself is limited. But when you log on to the printer admin page, you're logging onto a web page -- THAT could have a hyperlink to a page on the Xerox website explaining what the error is and how to address it. With time I'm learning the quirks of this printer driver and things are going more smoothly.

The 6510DN is fast, quiet and easy to use. It has duplex, good color. My favorite feature is, the highest resolution of any printers in its class.
After using other printers, I was delighted when I found the Phaser 6510DN. It satisfied all of my printing needs. In the past have had buy a second printer in order to get high quality graphics and photos. The Xerox Phaser 6510DN with its enhanced high resolution does this beautifully. In addition, it is fast and is a solid office work horse.

Great Customer Service
I was looking for a printer that was clearly quality built and capable of lasting four times longer than warranty period and customer support. I think I found it in this printer. After delivery, I was unable to setup the WiFi portion on the printer. Contacted Xerox Support. Support personnel, by phone, Franklyn, was able to assist me thru the setup procedure . This took several tries before mission accomplished. Needlessly to say the person was VERY patient with me. This printer was ordered directly from Xerox. Shipping was 2 days! It is being used in the home environment. Strong build quality. It has a lot of features for the office-professional environment as well for the home user like me. The print quality both in B&W and Color is sharp. The print speed is as advertised. I purchased the printer December 2021 and so far impressed with it's performance and support. Nothing to complain about. I would recommend this printer for the office or home environment.

Awful Support - Botched Firmware Update
The printer itself was fine. Average print quality, average speed. Recently they recommended a software upgrade for an undisclosed security vulnerability. I'm in IT, I do these all the time. Followed the instructions to the letter and it bricked the printer. Called the support line and they said I could talk to them for $25 but no guarantees. I asked to speak to a manager and after a 20 min hold the agent came back and said the manager wouldn't speak with me but he recommended a billable service call. I have never had a company botch a firmware update that bricks the device and then expect the customer to pay to fix it. Unacceptable.

Disappointed in the difficulty of adding this printer to a second computer
Never have been able to get this printer to sync up with my second computer. I have followed the directions which are vague and not understandable. The help line was not helpful either.

Drivers and Apps need allot of worl
Every time my windows updates I lose the drivers and connect to the printer. So far it has not been as easy as reinstalling printers. It takes a special set of drivers you need to go find. then it takes 2-3 tries to actually get them to install correctly. If I could just remove and reinstall the printer in a few minutes I wouldn't care, but having to go find the right drivers every time has been an exercise in frustration.

Great Print Quality - Horrible Connectivity
I wouldnt recommend this printer if you intend to use its built in wifi. WE have multiple PC in the house trying to access this printer. Once you get it working with the right driver it works for a few weeks then looses its connection and you have to reset it back up again on every PC.

Great product suits for both home and office purpose.
Hassle free printer. Good print quality and easy to handle. I have seen some of the printer and end up in paper jam scenarios. Phase 6510 is great printer. This is the kind of printer I would like to use for ever. In some of the continents, photo copies called XEROX copies. No mistake in using the term after using such products from Xerox. Thanks.

Wont stay connected
I purchased the printer for my fabrication shop. At first it was fine and then it started going into permanent sleep mode. Now I have to unplug it and plug it back in every time I want to use. I also get an annoying message on my phone telling me there is a connection issue all the time. You would think that in this day and age something this simple wouldn't be an issue.

Great Printer - Easy setup, fast and high quality
I bought this printer to replace an older 6180 printer to support my and my wife's home businesses. The printer pretty much paid for itself with the base price and the lower toner costs, but I didn't realize how much slower and the quality hit I was taking on my old printer. We almost immediately noticed the speed, even with duplex printing and the quality is amazing. I would highly recommend this printer for any home or small office use where you need good quality color printing.

Nice printer, poor support
I have 2 of these printers for my office. I have one that will print from 8 computers and not 1. I have another printer that will only print from the feeder tray. These seem to both be simple technical issues. I have had one for 15 months and the other 2 years. Both are beyond the one year warranty. I have to pay to get tech support over the phone to fix what is likely a simple technical issue. The websites in the manual, and links online all are invalid websites. I can't get the "free" online support if not available. 5 star printers, 0 star service

Best printer I've had so far!
I use this printer for many prints each day in my home office. We have retail marketplace stores online, so every order needs an invoice, and the prints really add up, especially during the holidays. This printer has NEVER let me down! The paper trays open / close / slide smoothly and feel sturdy like they would never break. The ink lasts a long time. It never jams, and it's easy to change the toner. We are in the Xerox program so I buy the ink from Xerox and the printer is covered by warranty from the ink purchases. If I have to print a catalog sheet or a specific picture with detail, the print looks great on 24lb, 98 bright white paper. We never thought we could get so much power and reliability out of such a compact unit! The footprint is not very big, so we are able to have it sitting next to the main computer desk, on top of a side table that has storage underneath for supplies. This is significant since our last printer was over 100 pounds, gigantic and sat upright taking up all the space on the floor, and was very obtrusive with no storage space for supplies. I definitely recommend the Phaser 6510 for all use, heavy or light!

Amazing two side printer and amazing repair experience
The print quality and features like two sided printing make this a great printer. The printer broke within first 2 hours of use! However, Xerox had on site (in my case, my home) repair person there to fix it within two days. Technician thought the suspect part was one he never seen fail in a new printer so he did not have a replacement on truck. Part was ordered and arrived pretty quick. Same technician who did first call was assigned to install new part. I was really pleased I didn't have to deal with someone from the beginning again. Ran into strange error message when trying to use as wi-fi network printer. Between a bit too technical troubleshooting suggestions on Xerox website and some help in YouTube videos, I was able to fix so I dinged the "Ease of use" rating.

Perfect for our applications
This printer is user friendly, fast and produces quality pages every time. Our church uses it for everything from bulletins to Sunday school material. I especially appreciate its remote wireless printing features. Replacing the ink is simple and mess free.

Would not recommend
From the start it would not print anything in the center, if you had a double sided page everything would be of. I mainly wanted to use it to print birthday invitations and because of the problem with it not centering the print, I had to cut of a lot of the design. The longer I have had it the less I am able to do with it. Now the ink is running, I have had multiple people look at it and no one was able to fix it. It works fine if you use only paper but everything from envelopes to card stock does not work with this machine. Complete waste of money

WIRELESS ADAPTER DESIGN IS SUBSTANDARD
If you buy this with the wireless adapter, beware. The adapter usb is connected to the mother board with no support. A gentle bump will bend the connection and render the wireless capability useless. Xerox should have support the connection in the mechanical design process. I have had my printer for just over a year. If I could I would send it back,.

Office Quality at Fair Price
This is a quality color laser printer that comes at a very fair price. It is easy to install, works well on a network, has a large extra paper tray available accessory, and the toner is affordable. Total operating cost is very reasonable.

I purchase this printer as an inhouse solution to Color Printing. It wastes more of my time trying to print to the correct paper size and from the desired tray that I decided to just take it our of service to end the frustration...

Excellent printer
I found this printer to be an excellent value. The print quality is excellent. Easy to set up. My only complaint is that it starts up when it sits idle. Normally this isn't a concern but it is in my bedroom and wakes me sometimes in the middle of the night. However, I highly recommend this printer and I would buy it again.

Great, but...
I have had this printer for a few years now. No problems with the speed or print quality. Both are fantastic. The problem is when it has been asleep for awhile, neither sending a print job will wake it, nor will pressing the power button...or any button for that matter. Only way to get it to work again is to pull the power cord out of the machine for a few second and plug it back in...then wait for it to power up and print the power up page (?). It is very inconvenient when time is a factor.

Great printer
I had been sold on another printer brand but decided to try the Xerox Phaser due to price. It has been a workhorse and I would recommend it unconditionally. It is a great printer. The built in duplexing is a great feature for my home office.

Difficulties at every turn
I am not new to printers. I own and use 6 different models, although this is the first color laser. Every time I turn around, something is wrong. It gets stuck in looking at the by-pass, or crumples the paper, or won't accept labels (even when I carefully follow the instructions from a tech support person.) The latest is, that when I try to use it, I get a message to turn the printer off and then on again. I do so and it doesn't solve the problem. Last time, I deleted the printer and then re-installed it. That seemed to help for a bit. I cannot afford to have a tech person come and coax it into working every few days. I am about to do away with this printer totally. Others may have had better luck, but I'm about done.

Big disappointment
This product wastes a lot of time in specific setups after you get it going. It's too complicate. Especially the wifi. I had to buy an ethernet cord.I bought extended warranty because of this. I have yet to talk to an IBM agent.

Quality Speedy Printing - Impossible Driver
Home Office use. When it works the unit has high quality printing - economical cost/page - and reasonably fast. Unfortunately the driver & user interface is horrible. I use this with a variety of devices from phones to tablets to computers running various OS's over wireless and copper media. 75% of the time the driver fails with cryptic error indications which vary across OS/devices. I have found a combination which increases the odds of successful printing however this results in a 50% chance of success. I have researched the errors online exhaustively and have found various issues ranging from unit configuration to hardware issues. Strongly considering replacement with a PNP type of printer...

Good printer glitchy connection to WiFI
The print quality is good. Print speed is great. But very hard for the computer to wake it up after it goes to sleep. The autoloading also does not work. I have to keep papers in the manual loaded rack. Overall a disappointing product.

No Ink available
I order the printer and ink from Xerox's website in late December. There was no mention on the order that the ink was not available. The printer arrived Dec 30. There is no communication from Xerox about this even once. I contacted CDW, the fulfillment house for Xerox and they said the ink was on backorder and had no other info. I asked CDW if the warranty period would start whenever I finally received the ink and they said 'No, the warranty period starts when you received the printer'. I cannot say how disappointed I am the way Xerox handled this.

Constant trouble with pc connection
The printer has great color and prints flawlessly when it actually works. Each day when I send the first document to the printer it almost never prints. The document will show in the queue but not actually print. The troubleshooter will report no problems. After several cancellations and restarts the printer finally will produce my document. This problem occurs with both Word and PDF documents. My printer is connected by USB and I have verified the cable is working correctly and the driver is current.

Printer Drivers
This is an excellent printer. However, it errors if Phaser 6510 PS is installed it will error out and print all kinds of crazy letters. It will literally keep printing random letters until it runs out of paper. Be sure to install and use the Phaser 6510 PCL 6 drivers and then it prints fine.

This is a great product.
This is a great product for me. The color is great, the speed is great and over all it is great. The only part that is NOT great is the programing or if you have an issue. I am not smart enough to figure it out. I have hit some wrong buttons and lived to regret that and fast. Ink usage is okay, the refills are not cheap. If you are looking for a work printer to print in color this would be it.

The Xerox Phaser 6510 makes me feel as though I am a professional designer and printer.Truly, it's not my doing. It's my machine. The Phaser 6510 produces fonts perfectly formed as if a craftsman had carved them; blocks of text line up automatically as if by magic; and it all happens as quickly as I press the "Print" button. It took only a small learning curve when I was still married to my old Phaser 6180, and the transition was practically seamless. This print is clear, readable, beautifully formed. Pictures translate from the computer screen into high-quality vibrant color digital printed photos; invitations easily form on finely calendered bond, high gloss paper, or mere first drafts. As a child, I was fascinated by the incredible Linotype machine that could form perfect letters from molten lead. Now I have power in my hands that so far surpasses Linotype as to make me feel like a mad scientist clutching a ray of lightning. I love the Phaser 6510, a modern miracle in printing.

Great printing,
After a year of use, I have been very impressed with many features of the Phaser 6510. Print quality is excellent, photos come out very good, toner life is excellent, and print speed is awesome. Those praises apply to normal print jobs with letter size paper. But when I want to use a different size paper or print something from the manual feed (like an envelope), frustration sets in quickly! For some reason, the print driver won't set the paper source and size, although it pretends to. I have to physically walk over to the printer and push little menu buttons while reading unintelligible instructions on a two-line display. The print driver on my laptop wakes up the printer. But if I try to print from my iPad or Android phone, the printer is always "Unavailable" until I walk over and hit the On button to wake it up. Having used various laser and ink jet printers for over 30 years, I would say that the Xerox has the most unfriendly interface. But like a good doctor with a poor beside manner, it gets the job done and done well for normal printing.

Excellent color laser. We have had many different printers over the past three decades, and Xerox printers never disappoint. Solid performance, economical to print. Not only do I own this Phaser 6510, I recently purchased one for my step son, who was looking for a good printer.

This product is good overall
I have had several xerox all in ones over the years. The only complaint i have with them is they are hard to clear a job or message. I sometimes have to unplug it and plug back in to clear a job.

Wonderful Printer.
I've had this printer for just over 3 years and it has never failed me. The colors are great and the resolution is very sharp and clean. As you can see from the picture all my office printers and copier are Xerox, and I will never purchase anything but Xerox. The only complaint I have is what Xerox wants for toner, that is outrageous. I also wish they came with the second bottom 550 sheet paper tray, they cost almost as much as the whole printer. But other than those two issues I can not complain.

Horrible print quality
The printer cannot print a clean page to save its soul. Complete waste of my money. As this was the first Xerox machine I purchased, it will absolutely be the last.
