I like the scanner however it did not have the drivers included. I was able to download them however they are not working as expected .

Not Mac friendly yet
Advertised to work with PC & MAC, you have to contact the company for un-approved software to get it to work w/ a MAC. Limited functions with the beta software, only scans idividual images, won't put multiple files in one PFD. Good scan quality. Replaced an old Xerox 252 that was great, just worn out and the software expired/not supported any more.

Good Scanner Overall
The scanner is really fast. Scan quality seems good. The scanner is really light weight and the footprint is small. I don't like the software because it always runs in the background. I suppose that's a good feature if you scan with the same settings all the time and want to start the scan from the scanner buttons instead of directly from the application. Another thing I don't care for with the software is that you can't directly select the part of the image you want cropped. You have to specify the size by typing in the numbers. If you always scan a whole page (like letter size it's not an issue. I would have preferred a black or gray scanner instead of the light color.

ADF, Flatbed with great bundled software.
I had to replace my circa 2008 Xerox Documate 510 when I went from Windows 7 to Windows 10 as there are no Windows 10 drivers for the 510. I needed an ADF and flatbed and this fit the bill at a reasonable price. Great bundled software. Xerox did not get the reputation they have today by making and/or licensing poor quality products.

Fast and does so much
I purchased this for my retirement to scan a lot of documents and my life's accumulation of papers and etc.- the goal was to have a high speed scanner with really good software suite so I could get rid of paper and have clear and accurate records electronically.

Very useful, flexible, and convenient scanner!
I love my new Xerox duplex combo scanner! I can switch between scanning double sided and single sided documents. Scanning a number of documents is now a lot easier for me than it was using my old flat bed scanner!

Great Product iffy software
The actual product is terrific. Fast. Compact. Unfortunately it is not easy to set up. ONce set up it won't stay linked to my computer. Currently my Windows 10 computer will not recognize the software. The actual product is recognized, but it can't scan and certainly can't use the one touch feature. It seems that deleting the software and reinstalling is required often.

Works very well
This printer replaces my $800 10 year-old scanner of a different manufacturer. I was skeptical that such an inexpensive scanner would do a quality job or do it well. I was wrong: the ADF (automatic document feeder which feeds by a combination of gravity and a friction wheel is effective. Very thin pages or pages that are not lying flat may misfeed but it's rare and can be helped by manually guiding them for the first 2-3 seconds. Stacks of flat, normal thickness pages feed well. Scans are high quality. (Software also provides a low res option to make small files if needed.) There are physical buttons to begin a simplex (single side) scan or duplex scan (both sides simultaneously). There is an LED numeral that can be changed for up to 9 preset but editable configuations (e.g. PDF, DOC, searchable, editable, color, B/W etc.) The scanner can be instructed in the software to skip blank pages. It takes a few seconds for the software to get going and presumably depends on one's computer, but the scan itself is very fast with no warmup as expected with modern LED scanners. The bundled software allows b/w or color, a variety of formats including PDF, DOC, BMP and many others. Learning the software takes some time, especially figuring out where the files are automatically being saved and/or changing the default location. The software will do optical character recognition for both searching (PDF) or editing in Word (DOC) but won't allow editing a PDF. Files are named by date of scan by default but that can be changed to custom names including name request with each scan or automatic numbering. Physically, the scanner has a small footprint and is light. It opens 14" to access the flatbed so it can fit under some shelves. It will scan 81/2 x 11 on the flatbed or 81/2 x 14 (or longer) through the ADF. The scanner hums when active but the sound isn't loud or distracting. There are software options to change the timing on default energy saving mode or turning off completely when it's not inuse.

Great Product and Helpful People
The 1 page set directions were confusing, the CD did not work and when I called I was told NOT to use it. Received wonderful help how to download the install. Fantastic help each time I called not only for installation, but for help in setting up the programs I needed. After this help it was easy to use. Before the help even the manual I was sent was too confusing.

Has halved my document keeping time!
I bought this scanner as a replacement for a 20 year old Visioneer 9450 USB scanner. Since Visioneer makes this scanner I thought it would be a safe bet. So far it is great! I has a smaller footprint than the old 9450 and allows me to place single page scan items on the flatbed scanner surface as well as do duplex scans via the Auto Document Feeder. I will be back in two years to review again for longevity and sturdyness of the unit.

Outstanding support personel
I have a very old Xerox 515 scanner than would no longer scan multipal pages in to on file. Both Javier and Wendel tried to provide a solution to the problem. Both were very knowledgeable about the scanner. Because of the age of the scanner they were unable to find a solution. However that does not take away from the effort to assist.THANK YOU

Excellent Scanner That Works on Windows 11
This affordable scanner produces excellent scans and works on Windows 11. I highly recommend it for personal use or for a small office. The only problem I have had with it was in registering it for warranty purposes. I could not find the scanner's model no. in the drop-down list on the online registration form, so I sent my registration information to the manufacturer by email.

Has never worked right since I got it.
It has made multiple copies only once, and never since. Now I have windows 11 and cannot get a driver to support it for scanning even one page at a time. Very frustrating.

Fast, Accurate, Quality reproduction
lost a previous duplex scanner due to lightning surge and while searching for a replacement, found this scanner (duplex, high speed). Xerox name convinced me this was a good choice and now after installing software, driver, etc I'm convinced it is a much better scanner than my lightning destroyed scanner. Would not wish lightning damage on anyone, but this scanner makes the damage worthwhile.

I purchased this scanner for our small medical office. We are transitioning to all electronic medical records and I can't say enough about how this scanner performed when we scanned multiple patient files into our new system. It is quick and efficient. ADF Duplex Scanner for those Home Projects
I purchased the scanner in August 2019. I've always been on the hunt for affordable scanners to do my home scanning projects. The two or three all-in-one scanners I tried quit ADF scanning after a time. This time I wanted an ADF that would hold up to my demands and I felt a dedicated scanning company like Xerox probably made the machine for me. I read a few reviews, compared prices and settled on the Duplex Combo Scanner. This is my review after about 5 months of use. First off - I wanted to mention the one significant con I found in the reviews that rang true. This scanner feeds more than one page pretty regularly. It doesn't matter what kind of paper quality, thickness or load amount. It dosen't matter if you are doing simplex or Duplex. It still frequently grabs two sheets and either scans one and a half or misses one entirely. Not fun when you are scanning several sheets to pdf (even just 3-4! and have to go back and re scan and add those missing pages.
I've had to work with this - and it's not as productive as getting all your sheets scanned at the same time.
Despite this one flaw, it's a great little scanner. It is so light, that at first I thought there was nothing in the box when I picked it up. I was expecting a robust- feeling, powerful appearing machine - this scanner felt like lifting a feather and it was almost too delicate to believe it would "hold up" for very long. I think it's surpassed the lifespan of my all-in-one printers, however, so I hope it goes on proving me wrong. The settings for scan types were a little more than I was bargaining for - and I have barely begun to explore those possibilities. However, I have created several "go to" scanning profiles and saved them, and they make scanning the way I want to - a breeze. It also came with some software I would never have thought about researching or buying. I've been trying out the version of ABBYY Finereader a little bit and having fun.
All in all, I would recommend the Duplex Combo Scanner; although, perhaps I'd even make a caveat that a simplex would work just as well in most cases.
I'm very happy with my purchase, and my hope is that it can keep up with my demands for a long time!

Fast scanning with good resolution
The scan to folder works as expected and is faster than my old AiO printer. The construction is lightweight plastic so it's not for office use. I'm reading through the 100 page user manuals to find out why the scan to email doesn't work with secure TLS protocol. If the email worked out of the box I'd give it a higher rating. No joy.

I had an older Xerox scanner for several years but wouldn't do duplex. I purchased this scanner just for the ability to duplex. I have owned it for a few months and it hasn't missed a heart beat. Xerox makes excellent scanners.

Worked very well at first
It has a little problem with the feeder. It often jams when feeding. Now after a few months it has 1/3 of the screen as black on scanning. I don't know why it happened. The scanner is now useless.

Great scanner but PHENOMENAL support team!!!
I just bought the Duplex Combo Scanner for work and it loaded great and was ready to go and scanned beautifully. However the next day, a link connection failed on my computer and my scanner was no longer being "seen." I called Tech support who answered within moments of the call. I worked with Wendell, who noticed my links had failed (computer issue, not scanner issue) and was able to repair the links and get everything up and going so quickly! I can't thank him enough for his professionalism and skills! Thank you Xerox for hiring quality IT people! Thank you Wendell!

Excellent product
I needed a scanner that would allow me to have a sheet feeder and also the ability to scan books and other items that you can’t put through a sheet feeder. This device does both very well. The sheet feeder is fast and copies both sides of the paper. The scanned colors are very close to the original, and of course, if some thing is slightly off it can be corrected in Photoshop. The software is easy to use and it very intuitive, and especially for the price, this is a great device and I highly recommend it.

Quick and Easy to Use
I love this scanner, it is light weight I can move it around if needed. It is fast and doesn't jam.
I recently had to call customer service (I somehow hit a wrong setting) but Javier in tech support and had me back to normal in no time. Great price point, and great customer service. The perfect scanner for working from home!

Outstanding Hardware...Software Not So Much
Speed and quality of the hardware is excellent. The footprint on my desk is small in all dimensions. So far...very happy.
On my first test scan there is no indication where the scan was sent nor is there the ability to title the scan prior to scanning.
Most irritating is that when installing/activating the ABBYY Reader S/W it asks for a serial number supposedly printed on the DVD packaging but there is no serial number on ANY packaging. Because I ordered through Amazon I also don't have a confirmation email from Xerox that contains the required information. If Xerox requires me to purchase that license separately then it should say so prior to having me take the time (considerable by the way) to install it.

Super easy setup. I connected the scanner to my laptop and the Visioneer Scanner software automatically detected and connected to the it. I simply fed my document into the scanner. Easy as that.

Very poor installation guidance
1) it comes with a CD/DVD for driver install and no guidance on where on web to find it. Very few computers have a DVD drive. Had to hunt for driver.
2) Take a lesson from Lego or IKEA and create some usable install instruction diagrams.
3) There is a part diagramed on the install diagram that is unlabeled (as are all the parts) and does not appear in any of the instruction diagrams. I had to hunt, really hunt, for a phone number to call to find out what this part is. very frustrating.

Xerox Duplex Combo Scanner
Unit was purchased on 9/2020
I had a HP All-In-One that lasted almost 2 decades. I purchased a Xerox Duplex Combo Scanner for their business repartition, and their 3 year warranty.
Scanner tends to jam paper in feeder a lot, and I can't find the receipt for the warranty. in short - No receipt, No replacement!
Now I need to purchase another unit, it will be a HP!
I don't recommend this product to anyone…

Mostly works well - scan reliably, quickly and quietly.
Does not do well if there is any fold in the paper - it shows up as lines on the scan. Page boundary detection is not very good, and if there is a horizontal line on the page being scanned, the scanner often thinks it is the edge of the page. Visioneer Capture SE software has a catastrophic bug in recent version which causes existing files to be blindly overwritten, causing data loss.

Great hardware, but software poor on Mac
The product itself is great. Scanning speed is very fast compared to prior scanners I had (admittedly these were printer / scanner combos), and I love the fact that dual sided documents can be scanned in one go rather than "turning" the document around.
The Duplex Combo Scanner is lightweight, but still feels sturdy.
Now to the bad news: when it comes to scanners, it's al lot about the software as well. And for MacOS, this piece falls awfully short of expectations. A few examples:
1) This is probably the worst part for me: when scanning, I cannot decide by myself when the scanning of one document is completed and when to output a multipage PDF as result. For the ADF, there is a setting for a delay during which additional pages can be added to the ADF (but if I don't add the pages in time the document will be closed and written into a file.
Worse: for flatbed scanning there is nothing I can do, each scan will result in a separate PDF document. If I want to scan an awkward shaped document (e.g. oversized, or a book / magazine where I scan left and right pages on the flatbed), I cannot combine them all into one PDF, unless I do it manually using a professional PDF edit program. I called Xerox technical support who confirmed that this was a feature only available on Windows, but not on Mac (yet). Sorry, but my old printer/scanner combo had better features when it came to scanning and editing(!) before saving a document.
2) There is an option to show the saved document in MacOS Finder, but even when selected this feature does not seem to work at all (at least on MacOS Ventura).
3) The thumbnail images do not disappear after scanned pages are written to a PDF. So even when I have completed on document scan, the old document still appears. The only way to clear prior scanned documents from the thumbnails seems to be to close and re-open the program.
4) No ability to edit pages (e.g. rotate individual pages, delete pages) after scanning before writing into a file. I can make general settings galore PRIOR to scanning (including rotation), but that applies then to all pages, or every other page, but I cannot make changes after the scanning has started (or even after scanning is completed, at which point the document is automatically written to PDF already). A good scanning software really needs features like this.
I guess as long as I am only scanning documents that fit into the ADF this works fine, but the reason I purchased this scanner is because I often have to scan multipage documents that do NOT fit into the ADF.
Unfortunately I can can only give 3 starts for that reason. I know under Windows these are not issues, but I am running a MacOS system, so that is what this review is based on.

Has done a great job for me for years.
I have upgraded to a Windows 10 laptop and want to use the scanner, however after literally hours (10-12) of using your support I have been unable to download a driver! Thought I had it nailed with a download but the file will not open!

Difficult to find directions
Could not make it work. Finally had to take it to a computer shop where they said somethiong on my computer had to be disabled inorder to run the driver.
I'm old and prefer load and run. this definitely was not that type.

OK Scanner for the Price
Scanner has nice small footprint which is what I wanted. Sort of strange as it has separate software application to run it called Visioneer OneTouch. Not the easiest to use compared to the the prior brand scanner I had. Quality of the scans is good. OneTouch software has become unstable/very slow to respond several times--not sure if it is because of Windows updates, etc. I have resolved it both times by reinstalling the software. Speaking of which, scanner comes with a install DVD, which who has a DVD reader on their laptop anymore???
