Designed for Large Laptops
I don't know if this bag will fit every laptop brand with a 17.3 " screen, but it can handle an HP laptop. The bag is simple and straight foward with few compartments, just what I wanted and needed. I received the bag in less than 24 hours from the time I ordered it on the Internet. I don't know how HP.com was able to ship it that fast.

Excellent for 17 inch laptop
Purchased as a replacement for free laptop sleeve included in computer purchase which had one problem it was for a 16 inch laptop and didn't fit. The only thing which would have earned a higher rating would have been the elimination of the 8 dollars I had to pay to make up for the difference between this product and the sleeve which was "free" but useless. HP should have eaten the cost.

Roomier than in the past.....
I've used many products from SwissGear and have always been satisfied with performance and durability. Being that this was the only game in town, for a 17.3 laptop (HP Envy) that was readily available, I did not even hesitate to purchase. Past SwissGear carrying cases have always been a snug fit and good protection from other items in my backpack. This setup is a bit more roomy in that it has an 1" or so at the top instead of the customary "enough" clearance to be able to zip close. I only use the case for laptop storage and none of the accessories.
My only issue with the case is with the additional "space" from previous SwissGear cases, which have all been 17". It makes the case bulkier than actually needed when you transport in a backpack. Fortunately, my compression straps on my daypack alleviate most of my problem.

Really great product
I got the bag to protect my laptop when i travel. it is light weight and has storage pockets for all my equipment to take with me. I am very pleased with this products

Quick Delivery. Bag is well constructed and not flimsy as other cases I've seen elsewhere. Like that it has handles as well as over shoulder strap. Front pocket is spacious - battery and all cables fit without a huge bulge. Back pocket is deep. Over all am very satisfied with this outstanding product.

Excellent product
This is exactly what you need to travel with a 17" laptop. Excellent padding, great carrying strap. Has plenty of room for your laptop, lock cable, power cables, and mouse & pad. Liked it so much I bought another one for my wife's laptop.

One major flaw
This is a nice case if you don't get caught in the rain. One of the outside pockets is not zippered or covered with a flap. I commute by bus so I was concerned that anything in that pocket would get wet. I chose to return the product.
Other than that it appeared to be of good quality and would make a fine case for someone who will use it primarily indoors.

Great case
I just got a HP dv7-6187 laptop and wanted a case for it. The Swiss Gear Sherpa case is perfect. It is well made and the computer fits nicely inside. It is a great price. Shipping was extremely fast.

Shoulder strap negative!
The bag compartment itself is what I expect. Its a slim bag for just your laptop and perhaps a few small files in hardcopy form. The bag is not weather proof so be carful. I was disappointed by the strap. I expected an adjustable shoulder strap. Also the shoulder strap is adjustable but it can't at maximum extension hang at a reasonably comfortable height with perspective from shoulder to waistline. That is my only negative about the bag. So overall good bag but disappointing should strap. I would have preferred a shoulder strap that would allow an adult male to hang the bag across the body for example shoulder strap on my left shoulder and bag hanging by my right hip area.

Very sleek design
This was perfect for my new 17" laptop from HP - no problem fitting in the main compartment. The zip front pocket is nice, but could be a bit larger to accommodate the cords and mouse - a simple pleat to expand would be nice to have. All-in-all, just what the site summarized and the price was reasonable.

This bag satisfies the need for a very basic carry case. It seems durable and is stylish and fits the 17" HP laptop like a glove. It needs a bit more padding, especially between the main compartment and the outside accessory pocket. The outside accessory pocket needs to be expandable so that accessories fit neatly inside and are not jammed against the coputer inside.

Bag is fine except for the swiss emblem. This was the only bag I found that fitted the 17.3 inch laptop. There should be a wider choice with out the emblem.

Love this for the laptop. Fit is safely snug. Material is durable, soft and lightweight. No overdose of compartments and zippers. Only wish it was offered in multiple color schemes so I can distinguish my bag from my husbands.

Fits a 17.3 inch screen laptop
Product is made well. Stitching seems strong and zippers are smooth. The outer pocket has enough room for a charger and mouse, but not for anything else.

More protection for my prescription ground compute
We all get older and this is one of the reasons I have gone to the 17” screen. SO much easier to read when I am on the road.
Problem is the computers get a little brittle with the larger size as they make trade offs between weight and durability. Thus the banana shaped predecessor to the new computer. The backpack conforms to your back and then the laptop goes with it.
This sturdy case should be much better, but has FAR less storage. I will probably have to keep carrying both until I learn to cutback on my travel gear.
Well made. Very padded. So far, so good.
