The Vertiv Geist Upgradeable Switched Rack PDU VP51100 is a 15A, 120V, 1U horizontal rack power distribution unit (PDU) with input power monitoring and outlet level switching. The VP51100 has 6 NEMA 5-15R outlets and a NEMA 5-15P plug with a 10ft cord providing 1.4kW in power capacity.
1U RACK PDU
Unlike the long, 0U, vertical rack PDUs, this horizontal rack PDU is ideal for short racks and small network closets. Since it is mounted in the U-space and not at the back, the display on this PDU is also easily visible from the front of the rack.
REMOTE POWER MANAGEMENT
This Switched rPDU allows you to turn off receptacles to avoid accidental overloads and power cycle equipment remotely to reboot unresponsive critical IT equipment.
SMART POWER STRIP
The hot-swappable Interchangeable Monitoring Device (IMD) displays current on the local LED display. It also supports Visible Light Communication (VLC) technology so you can view complete power usage data from a mobile device with the Vertiv rPDU Scanner application. The IMD includes ports for serial communication and environmental monitoring, and dual ethernet ports to simplify management of multiple PDUs with fault-tolerant daisy chaining or IP aggregation capabilities.
