This USB 3.1 to HDMI adapter expands the potential of your tablet, laptop, Chromebook, MacBook, smartphone or PC's USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port. It's ideal for transmitting digital audio and 4K video to a large display, adding a thumb drive or other USB peripheral, powering and charging a PD Charging-compliant mobile device, and connecting to a Gigabit Ethernet network - all at the same time.
With a source device that also supports USB DisplayPort Alt Mode, you can extend video from your primary display to another, duplicate the same video on both displays, or change the second display to your primary.
To send 7.1-channel surround sound and Ultra High Definition video to a 4K-ready HDMI television, projector or monitor, connect the HDMI port to the display using an HDMI cable (sold separately). The HDMI port supports UHD video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 30 Hz.
The USB-A port accepts USB peripherals, such as a flash drive, mouse, keyboard or printer. It supports fast USB 3.1 Gen 1 data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices.
The USB-C Power Delivery (PD) port provides power and charging to the PD Charging-compliant device (such as a MacBook, Chromebook or Android smartphone) the U444-06N-H4GUB-C is connected to. Connect the device's AC wall charger to the USB-C PD port, which supports power input up to 20V 3A (60W).
The RJ45 port offers access to a Gigabit Ethernet network when no Wi-Fi is available or when a wired connection offers faster speeds. Connect using a UTP cable (sold separately), and enjoy true 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds for fast data transfers.
Connect the reversible USB-C plug to your source device's USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port. The fumble-free USB-C plug connects in either direction to ensure fast, easy connection every time.

The best portable dock
Light, easy transportable. The best dock you can ask for on the go. The right ports to ask for. Maybe one more USB port but thats me being picky but this is a 100% buy.

Trouble with first adapter. Good warranty support.
This thing is very useful in place of a docking station for on the go Macbook users. However, this is a replacement for one I bought in January of 2021 which started messing up with 3 months. We'll see how this one will do. I will say Tripp Lite did the right thing and replaced it quickly, after a few emails the new one arrived in a few days.

This is a great USB-c Adapter ever!
I started business travel after pandemic and need to find an adapter to expand the interfacing ports. This is a great one, it's easy to carry - light, small, compact, stable, high performance. Oh, it gives the RJ-45 wired connection also, which enables to connect to stable and faster 1MB wired network. One word: AMAZING!
