Tripp Lite USB 3.0 Dual Bay External RAID Enclosure 2.5" / 3.5" SATA Drive is rated5.00 out of5 by2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've bought two, would buy againOne is configured as a RAID, the other just a box of disks. Piece of cake to set up, quiet, performance is entirely satisfactory. I bought the first one not knowing how loud it would be (Wife Acceptance Factor), then bought the second. I looked at a bunch of competing products with Thunderbolt or Firewire interfaces, but couldn't justify the expense. I'm glad now that I didn't. These enclosures are fast enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product, Great SupportUSB 3 connectivity, four modes (JBOD, spanned volume, RAID 0, RAID 1), super quiet -- not much more that you can ask for in a two disk RAID enclosure. Unit itself is very well built, disk trays and locking mechanisms are very sturdy. This unit is an amazing value. The first unit I got had issues with the USB interface. Tripp Lite support was awesome. Their tech was very knowledgeable and quickly confirmed that there was a hardware issue. Tripp Lite shipped a replacement unit that arrived two days later.I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WORTHLESS ENCLOSUREONLY 1 star as I cannot set it to ZERO stars. And of course, there are NO SPECIALISTS AVAILABLE. THIS ENCLOSURE simply refuses to entire RAID-1 mode, no matter what I do; not POR nor the reset switch at the rear. It NEVER goes into JBOD or RAID-0 either. ONLY the power and activity lights light up. The disk carriers are FLIMSY PLASTIC and can be easily broken, so buyer beware.Waste of money. Will be returning to point-of-sale and will purchase something that will actually work,BTW, this site continuously TRIPS my TM MAX SECURITY. Appears that this site is pecking my computer for credit card information. So, just another reason to beware of Tripp Lite's site.
