The ECO850LCD ultra-compact green UPS offers complete protection from blackouts, voltage fluctuations and transient surges. Interactive LCD user interface offers detailed UPS and site electrical data, including input/output voltage, estimated runtime remaining, load percentage, load wattage and battery charge level. Energy saving ECO outlets give users the option to automatically power off unused desktop accessories like a printer and audio speakers as the computer connected via USB goes to low-power sleep or shutdown modes. 99% full load efficiency rating offers energy savings and cool operating temperatures. Green eco-friendly design meets strict RoHS environmental standards. Provides uninterruptible transfer to battery derived AC output during power failures and voltage fluctuations with enough runtime to save and shutdown connected equipment without data loss. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product!! Picked this up to help control brownout conditions in my apartment. Living by the water the weather sometimes causes power to flicker. Having this as a home theatre battery backup works great. After modem, router, TV, Receiver, cable box and ps4 was connected still had the spacious other side for 6 more devices that didn't need the battery backup. Definitely recommended for home theatre or small business use!

No trip when there is a power dip, so hard drives are happy. Will keep server on for several hours if sleep mode programmed.

Actually took up less of a footprint underneath my desk than I was expecting. There are plenty of available receptacles. Very pleased.

I then switched it to a Dell desktop which had no issue with the software. It works well with the Dell and performed flawlessly during a power outage. I would definitely buy again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only had it about 2 weeks and it has already saved my behind The main reasons for choosing this model were the 12 outlets and the digital display. Yeah, who uses 12 outlets? Not me. But it sure leaves me plenty of room to plug in all of the bricks that I need. And with the digital display, I now know how much power my system is using at any given time. And I know approximately how long my system will run during my next outage. Oh yeah, it'll go out again this summer and I know I'll have time to save everything and shut everything down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes , I plan on buying this again. I use this item to power up my TV , cable box , WYFI , atV sound system. It works great !! When I have power dips or bumps I loose TV and internet for up to 8-10 minutes, until it boots back up. Two months ago we had Tornadoes coming around our area, we lost weather on the TV and my weather maps on my cell. That's when I started looking for a battery back up. It is GREAT. We have had two power bumps since I bought it , I sized it to give me 45 minutes of power ( by then I'll have my generator up and running). Thank you for a nice product. Small enough to keep behind the TV out of sight but plenty of plugs to use.

Love the LCD meter to give relevant info regarding performance. Only wish it came with 4 rubber feet to prevent slippage.

Had several other Tripp Lite battery backup UPS products that have all been great. This one, still trying to find a work around to get it to be detected by my computer. As for now, it's just an overpriced power strip

Rated 5 out of 5 by from yes I own 2 Tripp-Lite UPS and love both. ECO650 and more recent purchase of ECO850LCD. The ECO850LCD replace an American Power Conversion 1200. With the ECO650 and 850 the LCD screen it is great to see what the demand is on the unit without turning on a computer. They are compact and I have been getting great battery life. The master outlet to place outlets on standby is very clever. The ECO850 is supporting 2 MACs and monitors while the ECO650 is supporting the network and cameras. Having owned American Power Conversion and Tripp-Lite, The Tripp-Lite product a much better purchase for your money. Ok here is the con, when using the product on Apple MAC it lacks software to monitor it. Indeed the MAC computer connect to the UPS just fine without software (which is good) to setup when the computer should shutdown when the battery are at a certain level. It would be nice to see the health of the incoming line, when there were dips and brownouts and power losses while away. TO THE Tripp-lite PROGRAMMERS- your profanity checker flags "A"merican "P"ower "C"onversion" as profanity. Pretty cool hit on the competition.

I wish the unit had a bigger battery. Also the outlets are very close. Had to add additional plug to be able to plug in the required plugs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced ECO550UPS after new battery didn't fix a problem I had an ECO550UPS bought in 2016 that would not stay on after electrical surges in a thunderstorm. As it was was 7 years old, I first replaced the battery (buying two accidentally) but that did not fix the problem. It would still spontaneously shut off after about a minute, while still on AC power and with the new battery. I made sure ECO mode was not enabled as that might have been doing it. Finally I decided to just get the newer model in hopes the extra batteries would be useful with that. It appears to use the same battery but I haven't completely confirmed that. The new model works well enough but I wish there was a way to keep the LCD display on. It's also smaller capacity than I typically use. I have 10 UPS in use at the moment on my multiple computer systems, my network hardware, and my AV equipment. This includes four of the bigger Tripp Lite SMART1500LCDT (1500VA 900W) UPS. I really like that I can keep the display on them on showing the wattage power output. I also like that I can suppress the alarm in advance of a power outage because I really don't need six or eight UPS alarms going to tell me the power is out! Apparently this newer unit that I just bought only alarms when something is WRONG and not just because it has lost AC power and is doing its job! That's a better design.

It has proven invaluable for powering my laptop computer, fiber optic wireless modem, and VOIP home telephone system through numerous power outages. The downside is after the first unit failed following four years of service, an identical internal replacement battery was not readily available.

It works great and backs up everything in case of a power outage. I would not be without a battery backup. This is my first TrippLite and it's working great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We have been very happy with this UPS Admittedly we don't use this at a UPS, and don't use the automatic shut down or ECO features that would require the USB connection. But the power conditioning has really helped the reliability of our workstations, and keeps system from needing to reboot if there is a temporary power outage. The two times I needed to ask technical support questions (do I need to replace this after a surge: only if it self indicates or is smoking; The caution and load marking indicating too much load on the battery occurs without displaying the load %) they responded within a day and were very helpful. Overall we have about 100 of these across the company and are very happy with them

However, I appreciate that this model has a battery screen indicator so I know whether the battery is functioning. (My previous, older model didn't. Eventually, it started beeping when there was no power outage. This was an 'end of life' sign.) I wish this model had an easily replaceable battery for its own end-of-life, hopefully several years from now. Hence, four stars. Otherwise, convenient number of outlets and arrangement. It's in use daily!
