Tripp Lite U360-004-MINI is a compact, 4-Port USB 3.0 SuperSpeed hub, with built-in cable, that provides up to 5Gbps transfer rates in a compact, portable format (Computer and devices must be both USB3.0 rated to achieve maximum 5Gbps speeds). Hub is backward compatible to USB 2.0 and 1.1, so that older USB devices can be attached (devices will run at their native speeds of 480Mbps and 12Mbps respectively).

Small, portable design allows the hub to travel easily, and built-in cable eliminates the need to carry a separate cable for attachment to laptops and tablets. Needed power comes from the attached computer... no need for external power adapter. Plug-n-Play... no drivers or software required. Works with all Windows and Mac operating systems.

A much more economical solution than buying a $100 plus docking station. I have been very satisfied with this and every other product I have purchased from Tripp-Lite, and their customer service is first rate!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Space saving device On my laptop I have two monitors, a keyboard, a mouse, an earbud, and a phone line plugged in, there were wires everywhere on my desk. Using this device has made it so I can neatly tie all the same wires up, and they all go to the device in a orderly fashion, and I only have plug/unplug one thing for everything I use.

For some folks it could be fine, specially if you are not a minimalists with space limits. For me it was just not quite portable. I am not throwing it away, its just staying on my daughter's desk system as added connectivity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for adding ports to a monitor, probably not a great travel USB hub though I bought this to add more USB3 ports to my U3419W monitor, and it does that job wonderfully. I just used a Command Strip to attach it to the back of the monitor stand and plugged it in, then connected my keyboard, wireless mouse receiver, and webcam, leaving the "charging" port on the back of the display for my iPhone cable. If used alone, though, it's very light and the cable is pretty stiff, so minus the Command Strip this wouldn't work well for its intended purpose: a travel USB hub.

However, this product has made my remote work life some much easier and better. I have been able to connect up to four USB devices via this single port on my laptop. Whenever I need to travel I just toss it in my laptop bag and take it along with me it's portable, there are no drivers or software requires, Plug-and-Play. I can tell you that this has totally streamlined my day to day process and has made things quite more efficient and easier especially when I am on the go.

This 4 port hub seems to be one of the best choices for that use case right now. I've tested it with USB 3.0 storage devices on both Linux & WIndows and it works, giving actual USB 3.0 speeds.

This hub allows me to connect both input devices. Since I'm working from home until the end of the year, this was a really inexpensive way for my boss to help my home office be ergonomic.

It is small enough to easily store in my laptop bag and has enough ports when I need to hook up extra peripherals. I LOVE that the cord is 12 inches long, other USB ports only have a 6-inch cord. LOVE THIS USB PORT! Highly recomment!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed, convenient hub Using for telework with office-supplied laptop that has only 2 USB ports. This limits my ability to use peripherals beyond keyboard and mouse! The USB hub allows me to get a USB headset/mic into the mix, instead of unplugging one of the others to join a conference call. The only shortfall is that the USB hub does not seem to allow functionality of the USB mic, so that has to go in one of the laptop ports. Keyboard and mouse are working fine, so far in the USB hub, with one more to spare for charging something else.

However, since Covid I have been working mostly from home and do not have enough ports on the laptop to plug in everything that I need. I just ordered this hub, and it's amazing; I wish that I had thought of it a long time ago! It is light and portable, and I now plug in everything that I need. Great product!
