The purpose of this unit, is to connect the extenders. It's a good product, for my needs it's perfect.

Works Great
I am a system admin and I purchase metered PDUs for all my router and server racks at every company I work for.
It is great seeing the number of amps being used and monitoring it for fluctuations.

Simple quick attachment and nice design
Had the strip for about 3 or 4 weeks so far after we purchased a new server cabinet. The unit was extremely easy to slip into the cabinet. I like the spacing and the size of the PDU. I'd definitely recommend this metered PDU for anyone doing a similar project.

Great PDU for workbench or homeoffice
I use this same model of PDU at work to configure switch stacks, so I purchased one for my home office/lab. The visual amp monitor is very handy, and I love that the reset switch is covered so you don't accidentally turn it off while your plugging in your devices. It was very easy to mount with the included hardware. It is very lightweight but has a sturdy feel to it.
