DisplayPort is a new digital display interface standard put forth by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). It defines a digital audio/video interconnect intended to be used between computer and display monitors, or computers and home theater systems. Similar to HDMI, in that it supports both Digital Video/Audio signals, DisplayPort is geared more toward the computer market, where HDMI dominates the Home Theater market. Tripp Lites DisplayPort cables support a maximum bandwidth of 10.8Gbps, as well as DPCP (DisplayPort Content Protection), HDCP, and resolutions up to 1080p. Available in 6ft, 10ft, and 15ft lengths.

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone.

It works. Didn't need it. Nice to have a spare.
It's a display port cable. It reaches from my PC to my monitor. It works (using it to write this review). And I didn't need it because the monitor came with a display port cable. So, my electronics dopp bag now has a display port cable.

Can't get correct cable connecting computer to monitor
This was not the cable I needed. It was my second attempt to get the cable I needed for a Dell computer to a Dell monitor. Doesn't anybody know anything about the cables you use on your products?
