Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good USB Adapter This is a pretty simple USB wireless adapter that is good for 300Mbps. Installation was super easy and I was off an running in less than 5 minutes. Connectivity seems pretty good overall and have no dropped connections after running it for over 2 weeks. Submitted as part of a free sample program

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Basic yet Effective This is a good basic Wireless USB Adapter for laptops/computers that lack an Ethernet port. I tested this adapter on a very old laptop with a burnt out Ethernet port and broken on board Wi-Fi chip, rendering it useless. However, this device brought new life to it, and I was up and running in no time. This adapter works a lot better than the USB adapters that look like USB flash drives. The main difference is the dual external antenna, which really extends the coverage. Another advantage is it does not connect directly to the USB port, like the other variants. It actually connects via a USB cable (a long 1.5 meter cable is included!) toward the USB port. This allows you to place the Wireless USB Adapter in a more convenient location, away from the laptop/computer. Setup was very easy. The packaging comes with a driver CD, but I prefer downloading device drivers directly from the website. You also get that latest version that way. The built in WPS button, made the setup even easier! In terms of performance, I was able to receive adequate Wi-Fi signal from most parts of my house. In places where the signal was weak, I manipulated the adjustable antenna, till I got better signal. I was also able to move the adapter away from devices that were causing interference, thanks to the included 1.5 meter cable. As expected, since this is Wireless N, it will not perform as well as Wireless AC Adapters. However, it works well for a cheap and quick fix for a devices with broken Ethernet ports/on board Wi-Fi chips. Submitted as part of a free sample program.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lackluster Linux Support I you are using Window 10, works fine from what I see. So I wouldn't recommend for a Linux user. Purchased new today. Tried to get this running on Fedora 23 Linux. Guidance seemed overtly Linux hostile. Who has time to sift through/compile makefiles, download old versions of kernels etc.? Annoyed and disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dont buy V3 as it has no Win10 support TPlink V3 hardware for this model has no supported drivers available for Win10. The default Realtek driver in Win 10 one disconnects and has issues with connectivity. V3 version is still sold in market so please grab V4 if you want Win10 support.
