I had excellent customer service… email response was very impressive but product description was off. The item was not made to fit my computer although i had the same computer as described. I think there was slight variation in the models but customers don't know that. If description was bit more detailed it would help and help the company save money on shipping. Please qualify me for $1000 gift card

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does Not Fit 2019 16" MacBook Pro This case did not fit my 2019 16" MacBook Pro.The top piece is too wide and does not clip to the case. If you want to use the case, you need to either tape or glue it to your 16-inch MacBook Pro.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I couldn't buy it again because doesn't fit well in my Mac. It's a shame, it's beautiful but... the smartshell its a little smaller than the MacBook :( I could place it, but doesn't fit well, so, now, after 10 days on my MacBook Pro 16" its broken.

Keeps my stickers and MacBook safe. Haven't dropped it yet, and don't plan to, so I can't comment on the durability but it seems well made. I'm 100% happy with my purchase.

I wish I would have read the other reviews prior to making this purchase, as they were not positive. I would not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely disappointed This was my second cover from the company. I loved my first one! Survived 2 years of grad school and lots of abuse. This one, legitimately one week. It was in a padded Timbuk2 laptop carrier backpack, same as my prior case. Top and base seem to fit maybe too snuggly? Bad production run? Super bummed as I waited for the hot pink/coral since June of 2020 to come in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn't Fit, Sent Back I have a 2010 MacBook Pro 15" that has this identical case. I just purchased a 2019 Mac Book Pro 16" and wanted the same case. Not sure what happened, but the new case is no where near the same quality or craftsmanship. Not sure if they changed manufactures or what, but the new case is made out of a thinner material, that you could bend back and forth. And as another reviewer posted, this product does not fit the MacBook Pro 16". It's too small for the laptop screen, you have to force it. I didn't because I didn't want it to break. I love the Speck products and really wanted this case since I have had no issues with the other one. But sorry to say, this one was not a keeper I sent it back. :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from scratches I got the black color. It describes it as matte, but it is not the soft touch plastic as the other cases I've had and is very slippery. It also scratches so easily. I noticed scratches after one day. I'm honestly not sure if it came scratched.

It doesn't obstruct the air vents on the bottom, which at the same time leaves the protection of one side pretty open. But I am very happy with it overall. Wish I had gotten one of the new colors that were coming soon at the time of purchase.

I like how there are no extra ventilation ports (grills on the bottom where they are not needed). However, I wish that it had been made more clear that this was a FROSTED clear case. I hope speck comes out with a crystal clear version sometime soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor durability and I'm shocked I was excited to see this laptop case finally made to fit my 16" but after not even a week of it being on and never leaving my desk, i was saddened to see it had split and cracked in several places. Could buy 10 cheap cases that do the same thing for this price. Not too mention I settled on the Hyper Pink color because the rose pink i had and loved on my pervious 13" macbook wasn't an option :(. I love Speck cases for all my tech and always recommend them however I have since steered others away for this exact case. And did i mention I HATE that its orange and not pink.
