Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slow, but seamless interface, great picture great: easy, guided setup; streaming services well integrated and easy to use, low-profile bezel and flat power cord are simple, considered design; picture is very nice. grumpy: the home screen is slow and laggy. way too often i'll push the remote a few times trying to get it to move, only to have it 'catch up' and select the wrong thing, which then loads, which then asks me if i 'really want to leave,' which then..... i know it's a problem, so i go slaw, and it's still a problem. power cord should be a little longer--it is strained even in my small format installation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good upgrade i had to replace my last samsung tv because it kept powering of on its own. it was only 30months old which was disturbing. but under warranty. my other samsungs lasted an average 5yrs. that's with kid abuse and video games. this one is not the q series but i love the software as i don't use firesticks or cable wired in. just apps. syncs perfect with samsung hub. i turn on the tv and it goes to the last app used. sometimes the last item is paused. great for quick launching of tv. good addition to the house and responsive. just wished the remote had hulu instead of samsung tv as a short cut or can be modified to my preference. still gets 5 stars.

In addition to the good build quality and 4K screen resolution, the TV has good performance when an Xbox is connected to it and I'm playing games. Never does it feel that the games I'm playing are lagging or too low in screen and sound quality.

Setting it up was not very difficult (though I am still learning). I also added a Samsung sound bar as I have hearing aids and that brings the sound forward instead of at the back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome features, fantastic price We had been eyeballing 4K tvs for a while, and like always spent way too many hours poring over reviews, specs, comparable models etc. We landed on this model because the depth was 1”, the picture looked great in the store, and the bezel was super small. And that price point! When I got it mounted it was even better. It’s sleek, picture is great, sound quality isn’t rubbish, tho we use a HomePod speaker in the bedroom. It’s a total win for us. Picture won’t do it justice.

I wish the remote buttons were structured differently, I feel like it's easy to press something you didn't aim to. Other than that, highly recommend it!

We pretty much have our favorite shows as presented by our cable provider and are not involved in streaming from other sources. Ours is a simple TV viewing profile. Yet we very much appreciate the quality of our Samsung Smart TV. It's predictably excellent and requires very little adjustment (once original adjustments are made to one's taste). I would opt for a slightly larger screen but 50" fits a particular space between two windows. When I was searching for a new TV, I came upon this Samsung Crystal UHD immediately. But, then continued to investigate and review many other brands and their features. Strangely, or by a stroke of luck, I came back to the Samsung Crystal UHD and immediately realized it was superior in its price range. I have been very pleased with that decision and highly recommend the Samsung Crystal UHD TV.

The Samsung App Store has the ability to download all of the streaming apps, so we are not limited by any means. The picture quality is impeccable. The TV is also very thin and looks great mounted on our wall. Great product and I would definitely recommend it!

Work great with Wi-Fi smart tv features and connects easily with satellite tv box. Remote takes a bit of time to get used to but works great. Planning to use Bluetooth headphones capable in the future. I could not believe how light this tv is. Easy to lift up on dresser. Very impressed with the quality. I bought Samsung based on previous experiences with Samsung tvs and computers.

It’s impressive to be able to get such a nice tv for about the price of a good iPad. Some Samsung tvs seem to have a motherboard issue. I’m hoping that won’t be the case for me. I do suggest hooking the tv to a sound bar/home theater system. The native sound is tingy. They probably had to sacrifice the sound in order to produce such a light and thin tv.

I’ve been using an old Samsung 32” 720p tv for years, so I figured I’d treat myself to something nicer. It’s not OLED, but wow this tv is perfect for me. Great colors, sharpness, good brightness, and easy to set up. Plus, I can finally take advantage of my PS4 Pro and play games in 4k. I dont know how I played games on such a small tv in the past, the 50inch is a real game changer for me. Overall I’m really stoked on this TV, it’s a super great entry level 4k. Only negatives I would say is the menu system is a little laggy and the sound isn’t that great. I also wish HDR content was brighter, but at this price range I’m still happy with the AU8000’s performance.

Streaming negates many of the built-in features for Samsung TV. I use Firestick to stream although not required for this set. 4K viewing is good and TV produces good picture at all pixel depths.

When he upgraded to the curved monitor also samsung- this became our living room tv. Movie nights are the best with the screen quality, sound quality was ok but it needed a boost so we got a samsung sound bar. Connecting pairing any device is so easy. Samsung entertainment experience is always the best and thats why we love samsung all the way..We are samsung lovers since day one.

It is perfect for watching sporting events. The only thing that I wish it had is a swivel base instead of a stationary base. I would recommend this TV if you are looking for an in between size TV, not too small and not too large.

The sound quality of the built in speakers is decent. If you are particular about sound, the sound bar was also an easy connection. You can easily switch from the TV speaker to the sound bar in the menu. Picture quality is awesome. I have this in a small space with awkward viewing angles and it works well without overpowering the viewer or the space. All in all, an excellent choice for my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed ! easy set-up, easy to learn navigation, easy, easy, easy! transitioning from cable to streaming- which we were doing anyway- this new tv has the family back together on the sofa watching movies and such rather than in our individual rooms (not much on cable, so we'd stream in our bedrooms at night, and not being big tv people anyway, the old tv just sat there for the past few years). in any case, you nudge the little volume bar up or down- even our combined genius took a minute to figure that out :) great price, great picture, fantastic sound with the sound bar and woofer we purchased- just 110% satisfied!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Deal i decided it was time to get rid of my 100 pound, heat generating "flat screen tv." after a lot of searching, i purchased the au8000. so far, i love it. the initial setup was extreamly easy and once i signed into all my apps, it was ready to go. the tiny remote was also easy to learn and pretty much controls everything. the first time i watched some of my favorite hd tv shows, it was like watching a totally different show, almost seemed like 3d. i have it linked with my google nest and it meshed seamlessly.

The ability to cast my youtube video onto it is pretty nice. The apps it comes with are varied and offer many options for a viewing experience. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best picture quality ever This TV has the absolute best quality picture I've ever seen. The viewing radius is 180 degrees, possibly more from center. I don't see how Samsung will ever make the picture on a TV any better. Between my Samsung Crystal TV and A51 phone I'm beyond happy with the screen quality and most other features. There is a small amount of room for improvements on some of the features and controls, but not many as far as I'm concerned.

Great quality picture, great features and we love that "game mode" automatically enables when a console is selected for use. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Something Went Wrong i am a loyal samsung product user, and not matter how many comparable tv i looked at, none had all the features i seem to always find in samsung. however, this time i think i got a dud. perhaps the delivery person knocked the box around too much or something, but i been experiencing occasional fuzzy feedback from the speakers of this tv. i though at first my samsung sound bar had gone wonky, but i noticed the fuzzy feedback once when using my wireless bluetooth earbuds to connect to the tv when watching tv late at nigh. i do not have the additional protection because i bought it once, and it didn't come in handy when i needed it - i just bought a new set. anyway, it's unfortunate because i've only had the tv for a short time, and i hope this isn't a sign of more problems to come.

There is no problem with sound or volume interference when both TVs are on. The remote that came with this 50 inch TV is smaller than we're used to and we're still trying to figure out how to use it -- more complicated that setting up the TV.

I used it for everything...Movies, games, streaming, YouTube, music and etc. I must say that it has exceeded far beyond my expectations. The clarity and sound is amazing. My Samsung TV is an all around spot for me. I am so truly thankful that my TV has multiple of features which makes life much easier. I am one satisfied samsung user.

I also had to purchase some additional connectors which were not included with the Flat Screen television. I was so happy to discover that the set came with Samsung TV which is something I never heard of before. It gave me access to shows that I never had before and best of all, at no cost. I also like the channel guide. The sound quality is just ok. Sometimes I have to boost the volume quite a bit to hear the audio. Perhaps a sound bar would help, but I never had one before and I didn't need it. On this unit, the speakers are in the back which may have something to do with the ability to clearly hear the audio. The picture is very bright and quality is good.

The picture is beautiful, the remote does no have many buttons, but everything is pretty intuitive, and the sound is good (no sound bar). The TV is light, thin, and with the 3 HDMI slots, easy to add accessories. If it lasts 10 years we will continue to buy Samsung TVs.

There is an issue with it. It turns off and may not come on for over two days. It flashes then goes black. Then at any given time it will turn on. Not sure if it is the chord but even if it is the lines are now visible so what’s the point of getting it fixed? Very disappointed.

Gaming on the TV is very smooth there is no delay at all. And there is 3 HDMI ports for all my consoles. One of my favorite things is you can control the TV from your phone and turn it off and on. The picture quality is excellent, although we are still getting used to the differences in resolution. Many programs that we have viewed in 1080P previously have taken on a much crisper image in 4K. They remind me of watching a soap opera video, instead of a movie experience. This is somewhat exacerbated by poor sound quality from the built-in speakers. There is no audio control, other than volume and three presets that don't give much tonal range. I will be buying an external speaker system for this in the near future, which will hopefully significantly improve the tinny sound quality. The remote is also interesting. I now have access to more than 100 channels via the WIFI connection, but I must browse through the channel list to get to a specific channel. There are no buttons on the remote to allow you to select a specific channel. Prime Video and Netflix are accessible with a single button click, as are the extended channels offered by Samsung (that's how I got to over 100 channels -- I have 30 channels of broadcast TV locally, not cable). This is frustrating because there is not a "Favorites" option or specific channel selection available.

Then when I need to have a computer for work. I turn the Samsung Dex on my phone on and connect it to the Samsung tv and I have a 50 in laptop that I can operate with my phone as the keyboard. I'm super satisfied with the tv. I would have gave 5 stars, but the remote is super laggy, even with new batteries. Once that's upgraded. Then it will be a perfect viewing experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The worst sound of any TV I have ever had! when you are tv shopping there’s a lot you don’t realize until you get it home. you don’t realize in the store how poor the sound is. all the tv’s in the stores have sound bars. my cellphone has better sound than this tv. without question it’s the worst sounding tv i have ever owned but that’s a problem you can fix. all you have to do is spend more money for one of their sound bars than you did for the tv. i am told if i spend only another $500 for a sound bar (i paid $429 for the tv) i will have good audio. not surround sound but good sound. to summarize, this tv has a nice picture quality and the operating system is reasonably user friendly but the audio is horrible. all treble, no bass and the only option to fix it is to double your investment cost. poor value!

Many features for advanced setup are hidden and take a while trying to find them. Automatic sensing is great but you must be aware that it is running in background so many features like Home Theatre are automatically set. When things are not working you must be good detective to find solution. The remote stick takes a while to figure the hidden features when it comes to streaming. Samsung free Streaming is great with many channels to choose from...all free! All in all I think this is a great little TV....once you get the hang of it a whole new world opens for you.....and I am 83, so if I can do it you can too.

I've only purchased Samsung smart tvs since smart tvs became a thing. The only drawback is that this is the first Samsung TV that I've had problems with. Eighteen months after purchase the screen started cutting off and on. I've troubleshooter with tech support but the problem still exists. All other previous Samsung tvs I've purchased have lasted at least 10 years.

I let that TV go and got a 8000 Series and both picture and interface have improved to recommend to others. If there is a drawback is that the remote does not have dedicated fast forward or rewind buttons. I do like how sleek it is so it's a worthy trade off. That's my oddness showing.

It's crisp and clear picture gives the kind of detail that really impresses when I play the 4k video made by my fpv drone. It's breathtaking! The Features are numerous and extremely helpful. Such as the ability to just push the microphone button and ask any questions you can think of. The built-in Alexa app or Google assistant will answer any trivia question, tell you a joke or time of day, or open any app that you have downloaded from the huge choice of apps at your fingertips. Also, the device comes with Samsung television built-in also. So that simply using my wifi connection, I have access to dozens of television stations from news and sports to music and all my favorite shows. Combined with the ability to work seamlessly with my xbox the Samsung Crystal UHD television also come with all my favorite apps such as YouTube and Netflix as well as Amazon Prime Video and VUDU. This has been a welcomed addition to my entertainment center and the only reason I can see replacing it is to get a bigger one and move this one into the bedroom.

It can do so much that it seems like the possibilities are endless. I love the fact that it works tremendously well and compared to other products my Samsung TV continues to stay on top and out perform the rest. It's amazing how smart my Samsung TV is because I've had a lot of smart products from other companies but never really felt that they were actually smart at all. I can't say the same for my Samsung TV. My Samsung TV is so incredibly unbelievable when I watch movies and play games on it because it makes me feel as if I'm right there in the movie or I'm actually in the driver seat of the car I'm racing. When I watch my favorite TV show or even the news it feels so real I can't believe it sometimes. The colors are so vibrant,bright and so powerful. I have never seen anything quite like it. Sound quality is right there at the top as well. I can't forget about my Samsung Smart remote it's awesome. The response time is fast and it never fails on me when I use the voice feature unlike other products I've used my Samsung hasn't failed me yet. I really thought I was going to have to spend a few thousand dollars to get the TV of my dreams but nope didn't even come close to that and I really don't know how Samsung can do that and still make money. Superb quality and top notch performance. So for anyone that reads this I implore you to get a Samsung you'll be happy you did.

I already own a Samsung phone so I wanted to be able to connect my phone to my television. I found a good price for my current Samsung television and immediately put that bad boy to work. I put the settings to gaming and with the proper hdmi cable I'm able to see the bold colors nicely and the graphics are breathtaking. The television is also a smart TV so when I'm not gaming I can easily switch to other streaming services and watch my programs. I truly enjoy my television

But maybe a feature where the bass, mid and treble levels could be adjusted manually would be something to consider. Sometimes I'll watch concerts on TV and it would be nice to fine tune the sound.

I found the 50 inch Samsung Chrystal UHD that meet all of my needs. The color on the set is great and I was able to purchase it during a sale, so the value was appreciated. I did not like the remote that came with it since it is too small and difficult to use but was able to sync the tv with my cable remote control. I also purchased a new solid stand since the separate chicken feet stand that came with the tv would not fit on the table. It has been a few months that I have had the tv and so far I am pleased with the purchase.

The upscaling is magical, and the sound quality is also quite good from a TV's built-in speakers. The features and setup are very user-friendly. I love the "Tap view" feature. Basically, (which I was unaware of until after I purchased the TV) if you have a Samsung smartphone, you can tap your phone on the TV (or near it); you are prompted to display your phone’s screen on the TV. Something I didn't know I wanted until I started using it.

Poorly designed remote. although i'm very pleased with the performance and picture quality of the au8000, the accompanying remote has been designed for style over functionality. the small (easy to misplace) remote was included with the tv without any instructions on how to use it. i had to call samsung to figure out how to change volume and channels (instead of intuitively pressing down bar, you have to toggle it). can't believe this gadget made it through beta-testing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Picture and Sound. we use the au8000 as a tv, not as a monitor. it has 3 hdmi ports and 2 usb ports. i have a fire stick, direct tv box, and sound bar hooked up to it. i am ordering a rca to hdr adapter to see if i can get the dvd player to work on it. i gave it 4 out of 5 stars solely because the "emenu" does not cover everything that i want to know about set up. installation and adding devices manual does not exist. it's a lot of hunting, trial, and error. i even had to use youtube to find instructions. otherwise, very happy with it.

It generally only sticks to Netflix and gaming, but I have no complaints, as it does those things extremely well. I didn't go for the most expensive, and I was still blown away for the first week. I stepped up from a standard 32" Roku tv, so the size alone was fantastic. What still really gets me to this day is the picture quality. I know it's 4k and my last tv definitely wasn't, but it's incredibly refreshing to start up and see for whatever it is I end up doing. The home hub is easy to access and change for the apps that I need and use, and has a dedicated Netflix button which I use frequently. Even the remote is sleek and minimal. Only downsides to that are ergonomics. I think that because it is so small, it can be a little weird to press certain buttons unless you hold it the right way, but isn't typically an issue and is easily solved. the size does also create the everlasting issue of how easy it can be to lose to the couch. Unfortunately the backing falls off with any minor drop as well, but that could very well be a manufacturing defect or an overlook in quality control. Overall, pros tower over the cons, and the product has given me nothing but joy as a growing college student!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good for the money We’ve had this TV for about a year now and we’ve enjoyed streaming everything with ease as our main living room TV. The 50” is the perfect size for us and the quality of the picture is great. We have some pretty large windows in our living room which can make watching some dark shows (i.e. Stranger Things) mid day pretty hard to see in great detail, but otherwise the picture is more than adequate. Our biggest gripe is that upon startup, it takes a very long time to load up the menu and open any applications. Much slower than the LG that we previously used. I also preferred the menu layout of the LG better and found its settings a little more intuitive but that’s mostly personal preference. The remote is simple and works great – I’ve hated some of the huge bulky remotes that we’ve had in the past where I would only use 20% of the buttons on it anyways, but this one is sleek and simple. Overall, the AU8000 has been an amazing budget TV for us and has met all our needs. It’s an especially great deal if you snag it during the Amazon Prime Day season!

One of my only two issues is that the smart tv applications interface could be more visually appealing/easy to navigate, and could use a Home Screen/screensaver. Additionally, the tv seems to auto-adjust brightness in spite any and all settings corrections, which can make viewing dark scenes during the daytime less than ideal. But overall it is a solid product and I am happy with my purchase.

We’ve had intermittent struggles keeping it connected to the SmartThings App. In June 2022, we noticed lines at the bottom of the screen. We ran a video test, refresh, self diagnostic, power down and recommended troubleshooting tools. Nothing worked. The issue became progressively worse until by August the screen wouldn’t display a picture at all. When we turn it on, it’s black with a slight light (maybe the backlight is on?). The features were great, but shouldn’t a TV last longer than 1.5 years?

I am immersed in the clearness and realistic appeal of the picture. It feels like you are in the studio- watching the entire taping of the show! The quality is so astonishing you can see the green screen(s) in the movies that you view! Even when gaming, you get so absorbed that you forget that you are not apart of the game. This is definitely one of Samsung's best achievements, yet! I can not wait to see whats next- hopefully they will start making people into t.v.'s.

For instance, I connect my phone, my tablet, _and_ my laptop to it. As a result I can control a lot of each with the remote. I also connect my Alexa echo to it. One can adjust the clarity to movie theater quality. I simply had lower that because I really could see the News anchors' pores when their make up is poorly administered. But I adjust it back when watching movies. At that price, I think everyone basically should have at least this level of television. Once again, Samsung doesn't disappoint and exceeds expectations. It's definitely worth the outrageously priced gas to go pick it up if you can't for the overnight delivery. Do NOT, and I mean it, don't blame me if you end up missing important things because you were virtually glued to your new fantastic television. Enjoy... wink

I've never owned a 4K/UHD screen before so this upgrade is honestly pretty awesome. I personally don't care about the new flashy features of the QLED/OLED stuff so this product fits my needs with a good price. TV for our provider and it walked me through the setup of connecting and cloning the Sat. remote for use with no problems. It really is a SMART TV! The sound is a little tinney sounding at first but you can go into the TV menu and select an audio option that's good for you. It has a lot of built in apps to chose from, including many free ones, along with internet searchability. Very happy so far!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good TV i purchased this after my older samsung plasma bit the dust. this tv is much thinner and has a smaller frame which is nice. the picture is very clear and easily visible from all angles. i like the home page where you can select apps to run. the settings feature is also very handy and easy to navigate. the only drawback is the volume. it's horrible. we had to purchase a soundbar, about 2/3 the cost of the tv, in order to hear what we're watching. so keep that in mind when you're considering the total cost of ownership. despite the sound issue, i recommend this tv.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Video Quality! I love the thin, sleek design of this TV--and the image quality is AMAZING! You do have to fiddle with the settings a little to prevent the "soap opera" look, but once you figure out the controls, the viewing experience is unmatched by any TV I've ever seen. (Hint: Filmmaker mode and judder are your friends.) The slim remote feels nice in the hand, too. One thing I don't like about this product is the sound quality. It's not a problem if you're using a soundbar, but when I plugged something into HDMI port 3 (which is installed right on top of the optical port), it caused the optical port to die. The Bluetooth works alright, but disconnects if it's muted for too long, so every block of commercials had me reconnecting the speaker. (By some unknown stroke of luck, the optical port started working again today, so hopefully that issue is resolved.) The only other complaint I have is that the cabinet is very, very delicate. I attached it to the wall using a 90-degree mount so I could play Switch games without moving the coffee table; I have to reach behind and adjust the rotation using the wall mount itself, rather than grabbing and twisting the screen. It's not a huge problem, but it is awkward and clumsy, so it would be nice if there was some sort of reinforcement built in to account for the tightness of a wall mount. Installation when I powered it on, was super simple to connect to my WiFi. Picture is great, the Samsung interface is intuitive to use and fast responding. I also love the remote. I gave 4 stars because I had to reconnect to WiFi a few times and I don’t understand the reason.

I knew present day tv shows and movies would look spectacular. But I didn't expect some of my favorite shows that were born in the vhs era to look the way they did. Absolutely stunning clarity. Not to mention the seamless jump into game mode when I start gaming. No input lag plus the Samsung remote is able to navigate my console without any setup required. Watching a 1080 tv after seeing 4k on this tv is (without exaggeration) like going from color tv to black and white. This is a purchase I knew I wouldn't regret from day 1.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sound Wound not work to external Reciever first let me just say samsung support is absolutely horrible. i purchased the first tv and it had lines after 6 months, they refunded (after 2 weeks of calling them -- terrible) i purchased a tv from samsung store with the credit.. received connected and it worked for 24 hours connected to my external pioneer receiver. after 24 hours the sound would no longer work through the pioneer, (i am a technical guy and an audiophile so i know how to connect equipment) i checked all settings and finally got fed up and called support. after telling me my hdmi cable wasn't compatible and to go buy one i reached into my brand new (expensive) hdmi cable pile. same thing.. told agent i wanted a refund and they hung up on me. 2 samsung tv's and both had defects, i will never purchase another.

The fore-picture is so sharp it jumps out at you as though it were 3D. Setup was easy and Wi-Fi pickup excellent. The reason for the 4-star rating is Samsung's Tizen smart system is not nearly as user friendly as the Roku sets I have used in the past. If you don't already know Tizen, it will be a while before you are proficient with it.

The performance is very smooth and the interface is very intuitive. Easy setup and frequent systems updates. Image quality is good and the picture processing also good. Only issue are the blacks are not so deep, but is ok you got what you paid for. The sound is clear enough, but I believe samsung can do better audio quality even this models. The sound is far behind the competition.

Unfortunately it went to the recycling center and there is no opportunity to take a photograph to allow me to get a second chance entry. Would not recommend a samsung tv.

We were in the process of moving and I couldn't use it in our temporary residence. When we got to our final destination, I unpacked the TV and enjoyed it for about a year. The picture was great, the features were great until recently. Things started to happen. When it powered up, lines started appearing in the middle of the screen, flickering on and off. When the TV finally came on, there remained fine lines in the upper third of the TV. Then just this week, the TV would not come on at all. Just a dark, flickering screen that never booted up. Sorry, Samsung, but that's the ugly truth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good overall a good tv, nice picture, and it's nice to have one remote with built in pluto and plex and what have you (i had three remotes before). i have two of these tvs in bedrooms and they're perfect for that, the sound isn't great and the 'start last used app when the tv is turned on' feature doesn't work; it always starts with samsung plus or whatever that is, but the home button makes switching apps and accessing settings very easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sound sync challenges (update) video performance for au8000 (50”) continues to be excellent. sound sync with video has been a complex problem to resolve, but found the root cause and correction with an experianced local bestbuy geeksquad tv specialist. root cause was with cox coutour cable box audio setting as “dolby” and needed to be changed to “stereo”. since changing cox box setting the audio and video are closely aligned … with only a minor lag. disappointed that neither samsung or cox or on-line search results do not include this as a concern and include in troubleshooting guide. purchased a samsung hw-450/za soundbar shortly after purchasing au8000 as internal speakers in au8000 are very poor. the hw-450 soundbar works well with tv … especially after resolving the cox countour audio output problem.

Yes, I've played with the settings to try to make it better. The picture is amazing though. 3 HDMI ports is helpful and the smart TV aspect is great. I wish I could remove apps I don't use as well. The ones that came with the TV are not removable.

This thing is immaculate. 50 inches is about as big as you can get while still being reasonably transportable I'm a regular car. The quality is top notch for watching HD movies because it supports 4k, which is phenomenal, and is great for playing my favorite go to games such as rocket league or apex. Also is super easy to cast or stream from my samsung phone, and takes no time at all. 10/10 would recommend grabbing if looking for TVs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used as a computer monitor for multiple computers i work from home and just bought this to use this with multiple laptops connected. 1. the picture is incredible! 2. i used to have a big ugly switch system to switch which laptop i was viewing, now i just talk into the remote and it switches in 1 second. no more switch/cabling mess. 3. i loaded all my tv apps, and again, just talk into remote and watch whatever i want when im not working. samsung tv subscription is built right in and free, i get some shows i cant find elsewhere. 4. the sound is very clear, conference calls sound like the other people are sitting right there. lastly, the footprint is minimal, its so thin you can hardly see it from the side and the stands are minimal also. it looks very sleek and clean on my desk. i haven't found anything bad about it yet

But when turning the tv on the stand to dust below it the top left corner developed a hairline crack and a 1” by 3” black spot. The screen should not be this fragile that’s light movement causes a fracture. I called customer service they never called back as promised so after three calls I was given a ticket number and told I would be contacted by tech, this has not happened as of yet. Their people answering the phones are out of the states and don’t seem to care and do not seem to take care of things. Unfortunately this problem could cause me to buy and refer others to different brands that stand behind their products. J. Honan

They have phenomenal picture quality, outstanding compatibility with all my devices and apps and having Dolby Atmos is is huge plus as I use Dolby Atmos in the electronic music industry where we use it to create immersive DJ experiences. Everything that i see & hear in my studio translates to the TVs perfectly so I can always make sure my work is done with great detail. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not what I expected from Samsung ~~~ I did extensive comparison shopping and spent hours comparing price, features, and other customer reviews before purchasing this tv. I had the tv less than a week when I noticed little sparks on the screen interrupting the clean picture. I've spoken to tech reps on the phone from Samsung, someone is coming out to look at it and see if they can figure out what the problem is. At first I was very happy about this tv, the picture seemed crystal clear, nice big screen, the biggest, nicest, most expensive tv I've ever owned. Was extremely disappointed when after only a few days it started having issues. Where they really dropped the ball is the extremely inferior remote control. The pause button only works intermittently, and I've had to reset the remote several times to get the volume control to work as well. I keep getting error messages on the screen saying this tv has already been paired with another remote, maybe because I have a Roku hooked up to it. The biggest failing that I could see for the remote is that as far as I can tell, there is no rewind button. The back button only takes you to the previous screens. How can there be no fast forward and rewind? I find that incomprehensible. In any event, I have 30 days in which to send this tv back if they're not able to resolve these issues. But right from the get-go, I would say, for the money that I spent and all the research that I did, that this TV has not lived up to my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice but not perfect overall the picture is pretty good, and the smart set up was wonky but worked. i don't much care for the loading of apps and the constant rearranging every time you load one. but mostly i hate the fact that to set the tv on a timer for sleep, it requires way too many button pushes to get what should be a one or two button set up. use that feature every night and hate the tv every time i have to go deep into a set up menu for a one time use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing picture! i absolutely love this tv! i needed to replace my old toshiba that was dying and this more than fit the bill. i needed another 50" tv because of my limited space. i think, otherwise, i would've gone with a 55" or 65". loaded with apps that i still have to figure out (lol) the picture is amazingly clear and the color is wonderful. the set up was pretty easy for a non-tech person like me. the remote is pretty good. i haven't set up the voice remote though. i guess i just don't need it. i'm afraid if i set up alexa in it, and i yell her name, every alexa thing in my apartment would turn on! one con though is the sound. it's terrible for such an amazing tv. thank goodness i have an awesome samsung sound bar. you definitely need one.

The apps have various degrees of slowness, so acknowledged it could be partly the app development. That said, several of the apps I have on other smart televisions and are not as painstakingly slow in operation; which tells me this TV's operating system is underpowered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is very easy to use I use this for TV viewing mainly. The colors are vibrant, and it offers many different settings to customize for different types of viewing. I also like the users manual which is preloaded in the TV. It is very convenient to learn how to use the different settings and functions. Only one thing I felt was missing is the ambient feature. It is something I think I can really use when entertaining guests as something entertaining, but not distracting. Overall this is a very good product and would recommend it.

It Is good that it supports AppleTV+ and that you can do Airplay; however, the device is slow when trying to move through apps, or open an app and some apps just stop responding such as Plex. It seems that it also struggles with wifi. I have 1gb up and down and the TV is close to the wireless router; however, it struggles with streaming. If you're planning to use a set-top box such as an AppleTV then I'll recommend this product. If you won't use a set-top box and plan to use it for streaming and especially use it with plex, I would caution you to reconsider another TV version.

It’s hard to tell what app you’re on because they’re so small and even when you’re on it it doesn’t enlarge that much. When I think I’m watching Netflix it winds up being Hulu. Secondly the remote control the buttons and they’re so small and there are so many that it’s hard to figure out how to use it without actually having to look sometimes I like to watch a movie in the dark but it’s hard when you can’t see the buttons deposit to go get popcorn

It beats having to download all those apps on to my phone or tablet and watch them on a smaller screen. I am a loyal Samsung customer all my previous cell phones are from Samsung. I upgrade them every year. Now I am a huge Samsung TV fan. Great work Samsung keep it up!!!!

I like the samsung tv feature, i dont have cable but still get plenty of channels through samsung tv. I also like the sleep timer feature so I know the TV won't be running still after I fall asleep. I mostly use my TV for gaming though and the frames keep up pretty well, I mostly play rpg. But haven't had a problem with other games. 10/10 would recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sound sync challnges while video quality is what i/we expected, we have had significant challnges trying to get the sound to properly sync with the video. have gone though all the intial checks (firmware is most current, tested multiple inputs [all the same], even purchased a samsung soundbar [hw-450] hoping to get a reasonable sync. have tried bluetooth and opitical (bluetooty worse) connections between tv and soundbar, have tried all different combinations of sound settings … “standard” with 80-90 ms sound delay best … but still inconsistent results … and poor for news / intervew as lips not well synced with sound. very frustratung … will be contacting samsung for advice/troubleshooting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TV Picture is great, sound sucks i have to keep the sound on 100 in order to be able to hear dialog. even after adding a bose bluetooth speaker (which plays music from my phone and computer that echoes through my apt), this thing just doesn't push any sound. it's like the volume control simply doesn't work.

The quality and speed of the tv in streaming is really good especially at this price point. It did take some time dial in the setting but should be expected.

Really enjoying watching programming while using this sound system. I bought the TV to use with online lessons for musical instruments, so putting this system together has been very beneficial. I also have directly connected my laptop and used the TV as a monitor, as the image is very clear. The ability to connect directly to the internet is very useful, too. It has proven to be a very productive piece of electronics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV's i have two of these tv's, one a 50" and one a 65". the pictures are great, they're easy to use and navigate, the smart remotes are amazing. my only real complaint is the speakers. these both replaced older samsung tv's and the sound is not even close to the old ones. i realize they're a little thinner so that plays into it. but i was super bummed at the quality of sound compared to the old ones. i now need to invest more money into the tv's and get sound bars or some type of external speakers for both.

The remote control makes it easy to navigate through the system especially since I dropped cable and use an over the air antenna and a streaming device. I definitely would recommend buying this tv.

I have enjoyed my 50" Crystal 4K Smart TV for over seven months now and let me start by saying how simple it was to remove from the box and connect it to my cable box and my 4K player. I know some people find the process intimidating or difficult but with this tv you will be able to connect it and have it running in less than 15 minutes. Love that it comes with so many apps pre-installed and the remote has dedicated Netflix, Prime and Samsung TV Plus keys so you don't have to download them! Since I am a Netflix customer, I use my Crystal smart tv mostly to stream content from Netflix, Prime and Samsung TV Plus. Many of the movies and shows on Prime are in 4K so it is a delight to enjoy 4K content on my tv, the images are so clear, vivid, colorful, very immersive! Also my tv has Alexa built in so I can use Alexa to find a specific show, or give me the weather info, or find something on the internet. This tv set is quite versatile and you will get the most bang for your buck with the crystal series. The sound is excellent as well and you can add a sound bar if you desire but I am happy with the sound, the size, and the remote control since it is easy to use- very user friendly. The tv is light and you can either hang it or place it on an entertainment center. Another useful feature is Samsung Health- YES!! Why spend so much money on yoga instructors or fitness instructors when you can have your own in the privacy of your home with Samsung health on your tv- Bravo Samsung!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mid-level Smart TV, despite some flaws easy set-up, worked as expected out of the box, great picture, intuitive remote, good ui. it's been a month with no issues so i'm calling it a good purchase. great value from target for $420. the missing star is for the inability to remove samsung plus and the privacy compromises this entails. i know we give up certain things by using a smart tv in the first place and i'm ok with that, but giving consumers a minimum level of control over their devices is something that most manufacturers have grudgingly gotten on board with. this is reminiscent of the software wars of the 90s/00s, which lined the pockets of many lawyers before consumers won a few precious rights. this will undoubtedly end the same way.

Did minimal research but learned it was a good tv and for the price, an excellent value. We have been, more and more, thrilled with our purchase because the TV itself has been far exceeding any reviews we read. The display unfortunately after a couple of months had a defect, dead pixels and streaking lines, but then Customer Support stepped in and in a couple of weeks replaced the entire display free of charge. The warranty was honored and all was taken care of! Thank you so much Samsung, in every way I can think of!

More choices for naming the inputs would be nice, but we are accepting the choices. The Samsung menu system integrates pretty well with our set of streaming apps and devices. The picture is very sharp and the color rendering very real. Our last 3 television purchases are Samsung.

The picture is obviously leaps and bounds better than the old one. The HDR looks great, the 4k resolution really helps it pop and the size is perfect for our small living room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thin profile and Beautiful picture. if you are someone who is concerned about making the most out of your space, this tv is for you. beautiful picture with thin profile which allows rooms for other tech if need be. the worst thing about this tv is it doesn't acknowledge our wifi cable setup like other tvs do. it onlt wants a plugin setup... in other words your cable box needs to come out or you'll need to run a few more wires. in this day in age, a company like samsung should pay more attention to those details. be mindful you'll also be encouraged by the smasung features you may or may not want (bloat ware). overall a good tv but hard to recommend for the younger crowd.

As a first time owner of a smart TV I did need help setting it up and it is taking me some time to get use to the remote. I love all the convenient applications, including Netflix, Xfinity, Samsung tv plus, Hulu, Peacock, You Tube, etc! My only complaint is that the TV can be little too bright and or too dim! Fortunately I have only found this true with some programming. I would buy this TV again and I admit it is great for binge watching your favorite shows!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first tv I bought a 50” Samsung AU8000 television after I moved, it was the first thing I had in my living room, even before the furniture, it is one of the best purchases I have made, I can 100% recommend this product. It has a good sharpness and definition and allows you to configure the colors of the screen to your liking and the remote control is very comfortable minimalist and modern. It is light and easy to move.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MY BEST TV SO FAR! The TV is mounted in the Master Bedroom. I love the slim profile, almost flush with the wall when not angled to watch from bed. Pictures are crisp and images look so good it's alarming sometimes! Only issue I have had is the sound going completely out a few times. I turn the TV off and restart and it works fine. If it continues, I will switch it out but otherwise, so far so good!

Just the sheer quality of the graphics coming thru the screen is amazing. I have 2 other Samsung TVs and I've been a Samsung cellphone user since the Galaxy S9. I love Samsung.

I do wish that the buttons on the tv to raise volume and channel were easier to use as you have to press and hold. When pressing and holding the volume goes up fast and down fast so it is hard to select the desired volume. Otherwise, no complaints!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Picture The TV has a great picture but unfortunately Wi-Fi doesn’t stay connected so have to use ethernet cable a lot of apps don’t work well with the Samsung TV. Also can’t Bluetooth several things but as far as the TV itself it’s a great TV. Great size great picture and I would suggest it to anybody still, regardless of any of the side issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT PRICE FOR AN AWESOME PICTURE I purchased this because my old TV was not taking full advantage of my PS5. This TV has an amazing game mode that takes my games to the next level. The 4k HDR picture make my games look life-like. With the 60hz I don't notice and motion blur at all. I also love the the Smart TV functions. I have it connected to my Samsung Smart Things app which allows me to use the Google Home to control the TV with my voice. This comes in handy when the remote is out of arms reach or if you want to turn it on when you walk into the room. It will also work with Bixby and Alexa. I like to use it sometimes if I'm not at home to turn on for a little extra security and entertainment for my dog. The TV has tons of apps to choose from that are preloaded or to download from the app center. All in all this TV has an awesome picture for whatever you're using it for. Be it for movies, sports, TV shows, apps and in my case gaming!

It was so simple to set up and hook up to my sound bar and my DVD player. It has been like being at the theater except we are in the comfort of our own family room. Very nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Screen Big upgrade from our previous screen. While not a top of the line TV, we are quite happy with it and especially so due to its modest price. It is mounted above our fireplace which we thought at first would be problematic but viewing is excellent in our large LR no matter where you are. Being a smart TV I can stream from my router and Apple Play which is pretty cool. Numerous included apps /channels make for a dizzying array of programs. Local stations are excellent via "over-the-air". Am very glad we bought this one!

We watch our Disney+ and Netflix, as well as Youtube for my daughters. Its great having the apps convenient location. Love my Samsung Smart TV and will forever have Samsung.

I use the TV for streaming services (I'm a cord-cutter) and streaming Twitch content from my PC to the TV via the PC on TV Easy Connection software. I had no trouble setting up the TV and connecting it to DVD and Blu-Ray players. The Samsung TV replaced an old 46 inch TV and occupies the same footprint. The narrow edge and thin build make the TV look almost invisible except for the image onscreen.

The sound isn't great and I have purchased a sound bar to fix that. I also don't care for the fact that it will just start playing random stuff. Maybe if someone reached out to me and provide some sort of tutorship on how to navigate and fix the issues, I'd be okay but I am not having much luck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not worth the buy I bought this a few weeks ago. Picture quality is ok. Not as good as my Sony Bravia. Sound quality is poor. Setup takes too long. If you’re looking for something to plug in and watch, this is not what you’re looking for. Setup took close to 20-30 minutes. Samsung MAKES you set up an account just to use the tv. If you have other tv’s in the and room, the remote will turn them on or off. I own multiple televisions and this is by far the worst choice. The price on sale was only thing positive.

The tv has completely quit working as of Dec 7, 2022 (only flashes off and on and makes a whining noise. The funny thing is I did not receive the tv until Dec. 09, 2021, so I thought it would still be under warranty. I was wrong, apparently the warranty started the day I bought it from Amazon which is frustrating because I lost a week of warranty during transit.

It was a little over a year so no warranty. It is clearly a problem with the tv because we didn’t do anything. And it is not fair for them not to fix it for us and throw 600$ in trash. I’m never buying from samsung again.

The volume/sound on this one is not strong at all and I am very disappointed with it. We need to raise it to 30+ to get audible sound. Now, as an extra expense, I need to purchase a sound bar . I’m not a happy customer. I should have purchased a less expensive brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed We got the TV as a gift for Christmas in 2021. It lasted until late November 2022 when the the screen got a red hue behind the picture. Called customer service who said the TV was out of warranty. I explained we did register it as soon as we got it. They said a receipt was needed to prove when it was purchased. My kids, who bought the TV, did not have the receipt. It is a real shame that this TV did not even last a year. I will not pay to have it fixed and probably will avoid Samsung products in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice picture the picture is great. the smart functions took some time to figure out how to work the way i like but are great. volume is an issue though. i can have my 43” samsung on 16 but the 53” needs to be on 50 for the same quality. when it is cold outside only on the 53” do i have to wait about an hourusing samsung or an app feature before regular caable is available

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture, but a kitchen nightmare i really love this tv but after i got it all set up with all of the streaming channels that i subscribe to, i discovered that when i turn it on it always defaults to something i didn’t subscribe to you - it’s always blaring gordon ramsey’s “kitchen nightmares” or some trashy stuff that i would never watch. i think it’s the “samsung tv” channel but im not sure where it’s coming from. why can’t it just be a silent screen when it comes on? i would love to get rid of that. basically, it creates an unpleasant experience every time i turn on the tv. imagine every time you turn on your computer that it started playing a video that you weren’t interested in seeing, or that you actively disliked. that’s the experience i’m having.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst Samsung Experience bought this tv with the hopes of using the apps to watch the programs we wanted. tried to find hallmark movies now app on this tv. could not find it the search for apps feature. did the same thing for another app that offered what we wanted without having to pay as much as cable. could not find them in the search feature. contacted samsung support. was in a chat with a rep while he was remotely in the tv itself. after two hours still no app. this has been a nightmare and a headache. the apps are compatible for the tv but the tv end was not finding them. why have a tv that is suppose to have good reviews if it can't find apps for you. this is the worst tv. gave me the worst headache too. not so sure samsung is so great anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor Build Quality and Flawed Software this is an adequate television, but build quality is poor and some software is flawed. i’d normally return it and hope for a better copy, but this tv was purchased at best buy which has horrible customer service. color reproduction is ok, but it takes lots of tweaking for each input/source and piece of content. it’s supposed to connect to a laptop using a built in samsung smart view application, but it drops out occasionally and the sound decouples from the video. i’ve abandoned that option in favor of an added microsoft peripheral that handles the same task much better. the rest of the tv is ok, and generally does what a television is supposed to do. overall it’s a reasonable $500 tv, but it doesn’t earn a recommendation, nor does it foster loyalty to samsung products.

So the apps feature is absolutely worthless and I didn’t want to have to plug in another peripheral to watch apps. But looks like fire stick it is. Huge disappointment. Samsung, fix your broken software!

It now sucks.. the new ones do not have ambient mode even though older review say it did( samsung changed the specks)...they changed the TV made it cheaper, interface is bad has less memory slower, not intuitive like it use to be..

It's been less than two years since I bought this TV and it's an extra TV in my bedroom so I don't use it often. Two days ago it started starting to fade to black within seconds of turning the TV on, it happens every time - the TV is not usable anymore. It's currently out of warranty and Samsung is saying they'll charge me $140 for just technician to come and diagnose the issue and depending on the issues they'll be charging me even more.

Sometime between 1-2 years after purchase the TV will start to turn on, then turn off, and cycle like that until you pull the plug in frustration. Samsung offers NO help or compensation when your TV dies--I would avoid at all cost.

I purchased the TV about 7 months ago and I have a couple of annoying issues. 1) Updating the firmware The Samsung webpage for thi TV lists the current firmware as 2120.0. The TV shows the firmware on the TV to be 2111. I have tried all three methods to update the firmware (auto, manual, and USB drive) and all say that I have the current version of firmware. By the way, what file system should the USB be formatted to? I can't find that very important piece of information. 2) Watching movies on Amazon Prime. I watch very few movies on this TV (mostly sports). Recently I have tried to watch recent movies on Amazon (Jack Ryan and Reacher to be precise). They are unwatchable. After digging around, it seems like the problem is that the movies are streaming in HDR. The only settings for HDR on ths TV are for game modes. There don't seem to be any settings that can correct this issues anywhere in the settings. There is very little troubleshooting info anywhere to fix this issue. Any help is appreciated.

Customer service claims I somehow cracked the screen, despite no physical damage to the TV is present. It's their out of the warranty and I'm left with a defective TV.

I don’t appreciate having to fumble around on screen to find what I’m looking for. I have owned Visio TV’s for the past 5-10 years and have never had any issues plus their remotes are great. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS SAMSUNG TV!!!!!!

The picture quality is beautiful and love the apps and voice control. Would have given it a 5 but the sound could be a tad better. Other than that it’s great. Would buy again.
