Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's All About the Art! recently we needed to rearrange our living area, and this meant put a tv in the living room. but we didn't want a black box over the fireplace when it's off. solution, "the frame". as a television, the pictures a nice quality - 4k. but aren't we asking because of the art mode. and here, i think it served it's purpose. we purchased the 2 year art store plan (cause - in this case, with the purchase - it came "free" with getting the tv) and mixed it in with our own photography and artwork. also, the filters are rather nice, taking pictures and giving a different look. no black box on the wall. it's all about the art!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Art or TV…you choose! The art feature is great! It really looks beautiful and adjusts to the light of the room. I am still learning about the pieces but it offers some for free and then you need a monthly subscription to access others. I want to learn more about this feature and if you can use jpegs from elsewhere. The TV is thin and has a rack that places it directly on the wall. This is ideal! My only drawback so far is the frame was not cheap and it only looks so-so. It would be better for that price to get one from the art gallery I get my frames done at. Overall it has a lot of bells and whistles and will be fun to explore all of the options!

And it is good for streaming good movies you like to look at pay your bills online. And good to for your grandchildren to stay busy on YouTube and Tikka. I would recommend my family and friends to Samsung TV, anytime it shows good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing TV The hype is real. The TV is a beautiful center piece for any home. And the picture is top of the line. The color is amazing and depending on the Art you choose it really can pass a picture frame in any room. The only thing that I had an issue with was the mounting of the TV. The brackets come in two separate pieces instead of one piece, this makes leveling the product very difficult( it’s hard to get a level to sit on a paper template that you have to tape yourself). The template also is just for the mounts them selves you have to manually work out how the TV will look using painters tape and measuring from the mounts. All of this adds a considerable amount of time to mounting. In future versions of this TV I’d like to see a one piece bracket and and full size template that shows you the TV as part of the template (even if it was all the sizes and you had to cut out your size) this would help a great deal

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Device, Software needs help i like this tv. i purchased the teak frame, and it looks good in our room. the screen is a little glossy, but the tv has a solid picture and is somewhat easy to use. but, the frame art software is terrible. sifting through images is very slow, and why am i not able to set the tv tot art mode on a schedule??? why can i just not set the tv to turn on automatically at 8:00 am on shuffle my art? just not possible. if you turn it off at night, it stays off until you turn it on. this should be on a schedule. for those that say, well, you can automate this in smart things, you cannot. you can set the tv to turn on automatically in the morning, but not in art mode. you can do it on ambient mode, but not art mode for some super odd reason.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Connect one cable nice tv, that’s the reason for a 5 star but would like to give it a 1 star for the massive inconvenience its been. i was excited to have this tv, but it only came with a 5 meter (16 ft) cable. we need a 10 meter cable to run behind the wall (32 ft) i have been given nothing but a run around from samsung and their trusted parts people, j and j something company (they never answer the phone or give wrong part numbers). im so annoyed, ill probably just return the tv and go back to owning another vizio. i ordered a cable on ebay, it came in and after running it behind the wall, turns out its the wrong cable!! i ordered another one to find out its on a 4 week backorder. just the most annoying situation ive ever been in with a stupid tv.

The art mode function looks great when it works (although I wish there was more customizable options for matting and framing your own pictures/art). The app to upload your own art is very clunky and freezes up. The remote for the TV is weird and non-intuitive. Agree with some other posters that the mounting bracket could be easier, but it's not too bad to install. The main reason for my 1 star review is that the motion/light detector on the TV that is supposed to activate art mode when you walk into the room, was broken on arrival. This is one of the MAIN reasons why anybody would buy this TV.

We love the versatility of it being both a piece art and our entertainment hub for movie nights! It has great picture and sound as well as a variety of smart features and apps that make it a breeze to use. We also love the fact that it is Alexa enabled so it blend seamlessly into our smart devices. Thanks Samsung for a true winner!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solved my upgrade problem The 55 inch Samsung Frame, replaced an older 50 inch plasma TV, that was mounted above my fireplace in a recessed space. Pulling multiple cables and power cords would have been very difficult. The single fiber optic cable with power supply was relatively easy to pull through the wall. I opted to use a standard mobile mounting system, rather that the supplied hanging bracket as this unit would not have to look like a hung picture. Set up was relatively easy. Only significant issue was the TV sound cutting off frequently. This seems to be a Samsung software glitch that needs to be solved and has been experienced by many users. Since I used a optical sound cable from the Frame receiver to my Home theater receiver, this is no longer an issue. Picture quality is an amazing step up from my old 720p Plasma TV!! Picture library (subscription) is very robust and a very nice feature when not watching TV.

My opinion would be to skip this unnecessary gimmick. If you want nice Art, purchase it from your favorite artist and proudly display it on another wall perhaps the one opposite of your Television?!

I know that this is the 4th generation of this particular TV and Samsung continues to perfect the set. This time around Samsung trimmed and made this TV look like even more like picture frame. Samsung also offers an array of bezels that easily attach to your Frame TV and the bezel design and colors beautifully complement your style and home décor. What other TV does that? With its Ambient Mode this TV simply blends within your home environment. Talking about the One Remote, Samsung made this remote as an eco-friendly piece of technology powered by solar or your living room lights. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TV I have ever purchased I was way more concerned about the ascetics of the TV than the quality which is rare for me. I work in the tech industry and the geek in me needs the finest technology but my wife needs the best looking living room.....she won. Although I did look through the tech specs I thought.... this will do. But not only did it surpass my wife's expectations for a home care piece, but it BLEW ME AWAY for the quality. Our living room is all widows. I am super impressed how it handles the ambient light changes through the day. It always looks its' best and I never notice the change in brightness as it adjusts for the outdoor lighting conditions. Subtle is the word. And beyond that, watching at night is amazing. I was concerned about the viewing angle, as noted in the tech specs, as our living room is set very wide. There are ZERO issues with steep angle viewing. My next concern was contrast ratio. I have a pet peeve with TVs with sketchy contrast ratio. No one really thinks its a big deal, but video black is what makes the difference for me. (Part of the awesomeness of QLED). When a TV can't handle gradients from dark to light, or blacks look "dirty or gray" I find that incredibly distracting from my viewing experience. "The Frame" handles these issues in a phenomenal way. I LOVE this TV. My wife LOVES this TV, I wish so much I could share a pic of our viewing pace and you will see that there is reason to be concerned, but not with The Frame. 5 stars in every possible way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing TV with a interior design flair I use my TV for all streaming (Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime, etc.). I live in a small apartment so having something that helps make it feel more like "home" was very important. My wife is an interior designer and has wanted The Frame for a long time. At first, I was skeptical and thought while it would look great on the wall, it would be a "less spec'ed" TV. I was very wrong. The TV is beautiful with amazing picture, powerful processing, and all the connections I was looking for. A subscription to the Samsung Art store is a must. There is so much gorgeous art to choose from and truly makes it look like a piece of art on the wall. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to combine a a powerful QLED TV with the versatility and beauty wall-mounted picture.

I have a number of Fram TV and new out ofthe box each will display the same image differently, Color , brightness hue etc. Hours of trying to get the image to match as close to possible but still not satified with image matching. Also, remotes should be programable to a specific TV, but they do not .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TV is great, apps need work my wife really wanted a tv we could try to blend in with our 100 year old home. we also looked at the comparable lg tv but settled on the 55” frame. i love the flush wall mount and was able to install it myself with no issues, you’ll just need one additional person to help you lift the tv up and hang it on the wall. the picture quality is excellent and we connected it to a sonos surround system and love the dolby atmos quality sound from the earc channel. our only gripe with it is that the smart tv features are sluggish and sometimes the apps simply do not work or will crash (paramount plus was a big issue). we ended up getting a roku ultra for 4k streaming and that solved our issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed screen is extremely fragile and cracked easily lifting up onto wall with two people, rendering it inoperable. unfortunately, because we ordered ahead of time before actual install, it fell out of warranty and samsung was unable to help replace. stuck with a very expensive paperweight.

Installation wasn't too bad and if you own a drill you can route your one cable through the wall to have zero cables. I wish the bezels weren't so expensive but there are DIY options as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Issues daily i have internet connectivity issues daily. since installing the tv in january 2022, it constantly loses connection. i never had this issue with previous smart tv in same location, or others in my home. i have had my wifi tested and tried a booster, turned off other wifi devices, moving the receiver box, and done a full tv reset multiple times. sometimes the issue lasts 5 min, other times it wont find any wifi signal for says. every customer service agent has me do a full system reset, and i then spend hours redownloading my apps and inputting passwords, only for the problem to return the next day. the tv is mounted to my wall and the box is gone. i would return it if it were an option. i hate this tv.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HDMI 2.1 DOESNT WORK i have had 2 65inch frame tvs and the hdmi 2.1 port is defective. this is well documented online. i have spoken to engineers and corporate. they will not help and are trying to avoid the issue until a new model comes out. i have been dealing with this problem since last august. This TV will not work with x box or ps5 or apple tv 4k and on top of all that, the panel is poor and there is shadowing in the screen. do not purchase until a deeper review comes out for 2022 model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful TV but wall mount is frustrating Overall I'm very happy with my 55" Samsung Frame TV which I bought for my living room. It's a smaller room, so it's nice that I have the option of displaying art on the TV when it's not in use since it takes up so much of the wall it's hung on. Speaking of the wall mount, I'm guessing that the 2 wall brackets were added to make for much easier leveling after the TV is hung (which I appreciate). However, I found that getting the spacing correct AND making sure both brackets could be mounted onto a stud to be completely impossible, even with all the holes provided in the bracket. I wish the designers had taken into account typical stud distances when they designed the new wall mount bracket, but luckily I was able to hang it without any problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor performance in portrait mode based upon the advertising on the 2021 model viewing in portrait mode is misleading and has been a disappointment. the frame tv has limited abilities in portrait mode to view tv or use as a monitor in full view portrait mode and is not diclosed in any information provided by samsung of its limited screen size until you set it up and realize that frame tv is an inferior product than described by the manufacturer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Visually appealing i love the concept of this tv. it has a great picture and looks nice and flat up on the wall. xbox x games look great. however, i'm running the latest firmware: 1904 and i have hdmi arc out to my onkyo home theater receiver, i'm sad to say that the audio randomly goes out for a few seconds and then pops back on. this occurs regardless of the source, samsung tv, netflix, xbox x in game hdmi port. i search and apparently others have complained of the same issue. i really wished samsung would fix this issue. i would give it 5 stars if not for this annoying issue.

It looks great hanging above my mantle and is packed with features. The TV has multiple additional features, such as the Samsung TV station setup, that I was not aware of that was such a delight. I would highly recommend this product and will be getting another smaller one for my kitchen!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slim, vibrant display, grabs attention I bought this TV for my new house and I have been getting so many questions from every visitor to our house. It is extremely slim and with no visible wires, it looks very clean. There are some additional options of using bezels, but I found the default look fitting for my furniture. Art mode has many complimentary photos and I have set them on slideshow to change once in a while - and there is a built in option to switch off and on - and it puts me in awe everytime I visit my drawing room. My favourite thing to do is open up YouTube and play 4K videos of Amsterdam/Maldives and it has a built in Intelligent sensor to change image type according to image - I use it along with "Natural" mode - do try it out. Speakers are good and the remote is very slim. Smart view (casting) works very well especially if you have samsung phones since you can then watch both the tv and the cast at the same time. Integrates well with multiple samsung accounts and one account can be host and others can be guest so everyone has the remote. Overall, great bang for the buck - I would have bought it even if it was a bit more pricey since it is beating the competition any way.

The includes remote is easy to use and appreciate the raised volume and channel buttons for nighttime viewing. And with CEC comparability, the Samsung remote also controls my Samsung Soundbar. Turn the TV off and it instantly disappears into any room as a stylish piece of iconic framed art or recent family vacation photo(s). Pair all this with further seamless integration with my Samsung Galaxy smartphone, well... it's both simple and elegant- thank you Samsung!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super sleek looking Smart TV Upgrading from a 7 years old smart LCD TV, that worked perfectly. Since our family is moving to a bigger place, I decided to upgrade a slimmer TV that can mount in the wall. I thought quality-wise and features can’t be that much of difference. I brought this TV fully aware of the TV panel/technology is not the top of the line. There are other TV with 8K/full-array/OLED/etc that the Frame TV does not have. On the other hand, it may lack the top of the line technology, its aesthetic makes up for them. It’s super slim. The entire panel looks like a giant iPad with nothing bulging out in the back, so it can be hang on the wall like a frame. The picture quality of the TV is great for my use. My family mostly use it for Netflix, Disney+, movie-night, some switch gaming and use it as a picture frame of course! Right now I am using it on the stand that came with the TV, while waiting for contractor to finish their work and then we can mount the tv on the wall. So far, we are loving it!

I recently redesigned my living/room dining room area, which is an open concept space, and wanted a larger TV but did not want it to be "the presence" in the room. I decided on a 55 inch The Frame, and I don't regret a single penny spent on this TV. It is gorgeous, and I love the selection of artwork available to customize the design to my interior design. Ironically, while it blends in beautifully into my space, it has become "the presence" in the room because my friends and family really love the TV's art and design. Go figure!

The sound is great on my 55 and her 43in. The refresh rate is great and does not lag. Over alm you cant ask for more in a tv I will buy again for other rooms in my house definitely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stopped working within 24 hours of receiving. i received my 55" frame qled 4k smart tv on august 18, 2021. i installed the tv and everything worked great until i woke up the next morning and tried to turn the tv on, nothing. i contacted customer support via the chatbox on their website and they were literally copying and pasting their responses directly from their support website. nothing they recommended worked so now i have to wait 24-48 to receive a call from a service tech to schedule an appointment to have a tech come out to see what the issue is. this is my first time spending almost $2k on a tv and most likely my last. fingers crossed the service tech can fix the tv.

It is a great addition to his log cabin bed, although I’ve never been able to get the remote to sync. I received a new remote after contacting customer support and it still won’t connect. I use the app so I can still use the the tv but I would of liked for the remote to work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent TV crippled by worthless remote what could have been a good television is crippled by the horrible remote, which is further complicated by samsung's poorly conceived choice to us a rf remote instead of the common infrared which eliminates the opportunity to replace it with an aftermarket remote. the cursor jumps all over the place with a single push, continuously scrolling from left to right. it doesn't matter if you push the directional button once or hold it down. very disappointed with purchase. went from a sony to samsung and really wish that i hadn't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead on arrival Our 55" FRAME TV showed up dead on arrival. The cable was damaged inside the plug. It looks like we may have received a previously returned item. I'm pretty disappointed. Then went we submitted a service ticket to repair the tv, they told us there is no provider in our area. We paid $999, which is too much for an item that does not work at all. Also, when my product review was reviewed, it was rejected because it is somehow my fault I wasn't able to experience the features of a tv that doesn't work. Not impressed with this product or support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple Install, Great Features and Picture We added a 55" frame in our dining area and it made a huge difference in the room. The artwork looks amazing and we can use the tv for news in the mornings. The integration with ring is also super cool. The rotating artwork with the turn on sensor is worth the price of admission.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Frame perfect fit As a "serious" amateur photographer I intended to frame a photo for over our fireplace in our livingroom. After considering the cost of framing I found the Frame tv and found it to be a perfect option to not only display and update photos on the wall, but have the option to stream TV. The quality is fantastic with great color and features. We have been thoroughly impressed with the frame for both the options to display when not watching and the options for streaming shows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SAMSUNG does not stand behind product or customer samsung does not stand behind its product or customers. i purchased a 55in frame tv, installation, and accessories directly from samsung (total ~$2000). after shipping delays and instal scheduling issues (forgivable), my new tv was installed on the wall brand new out of the box only to find out it didn't work. online tutorials were ineffective, so i called samsung to have it serviced under warranty. after a week of silence, they called to say they couldn't repair it and offered me a $1000 refund/credit (not enough to re-purchase the same tv). they have also so-far refused to replace the tv despite still selling the product on their website. so... samsung sent me a defective product and is offering me $1000 for my $2000 in purchases, time, inconvenience, and holes in my wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great concept, deeply flawed execution love the concept for the frame tv, and when it works, the art mode is incredible. it works maybe 50% of the time. the software is garbage unfortunately, samsung clearly hasn’t invested in that aspect of it. both my tv and the smart things app are updated, but the interface is really buggy, so hard to tell if it’s the tv’s os or the app. i’ll try calling customer support, but i’ve read other users’ questions and this is typical so likely not fixable. it’s a shame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frame TV Mostly use for movies and sports. Picture is crystal clear, great for sports. Sound is fine. User interface is ok. TV looks amazing mounted on wall. Basel is great. “Hub” hides away perfectly in the furniture under the TV. I do not have cable. Transfer between apps is seamless. Really smooth.

I purchased The Frame for its ART features, however I am having difficulty accessing the “Samsung Collection", "an exclusive selection of 100 artworks from 37 renowned artists and spanning 10 categories,” as listed on the website. I can only find the "Complementary Art" selection of 23 pieces. The Samsung Collection was a key decision point in my purchase of The Frame TV and I am not happy with the features without this product feature.

Let me say that am even more impressed with the quality of the picture and with the improvement of the technology and additional features. The split screen and pip are now essential for watching my sports. I can watch UFC and other sports at the same time! Great product, thank you Samsung!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Great Until It Didn’t The TV failed after a few months. i've been waiting 8 weeks on Samsung to resolve a warranty issue where the screen of the TV quit working. two service techs have been to my home. the first tech brought no parts to fix the unit after I spent significant time troubleshooting with Samsung phone support. The tech only repeated the same steps and asked me the same questions as support. The 2nd tech with onlly a few replacement parts, but didn't have a new screen to try just in case the screen was bad. Turns out, the screen is bad, and all the symptoms i described over the phone were indicative of a bad screen, according to the 2nd tech. I’ve now been waiting 5 more weeks, so far, for Samsung to replace the screen. The TV has now been broken for about 30% of the time I’ve owned it.
