I had it replaced under warranty through ubreakifix the other day and it's already peeling up again in the same spot it did on the original screen protector. it's a flaw in the design. The phone is pretty cool, speed and battery no issues, i've had the phone almost 6 months and it just started peeling right when the heat picked up here in arizona. Had it replaced not 2 days ago and doing the same thing. Also the hinge sometimes does make a noise it's done it ever since i bought the phone so I think more work on design is still needing to be done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good phone! FLIP and slip in my back pocket! I got the flip 4 cause I liked the flip 3 so much. I never had a problem with the first and 3 month in with the flip 4, I dropped it from a short distance on the wooden floor. It fell directly on the hinge part and the phone would not open! It was locked up and would not open past 90 degrees. I was bummed and couldn't understand how this happened when I have dropped my previous phone multiple times and was totally fine! Thankfully I took it in to one of those "you break, we fix" shops and they told me that they work with Samsung and are an official Samsung repair shop! I took the phone in, they evaluated it and said that this has happened to other people and it was a quick fix. They kept the phone over night and it was ready the following day! When I went to pick it up it literally like brand new! No data or storage info was lost and the phone looked like new, and the hinge was working and opened a full 180 degrees! I waited to see what the bill was going to look like, and the rep said that there was NO charge since it was covered by Samsung for a whole year from the purchase date! I couldn't believe it! I kept asking are you sure and the rep said not to worry, and to enjoy the phone! What a relief! So all in all, I have the phone up to this day. I'm a little more careful with it but it works fine and haven't had any problems since. The service to repair/fix the hinge was FAST and literally HASSLE free!!

When the Z Flip 4 came out I jumped on it immediately and have not regretted it. The features are amazing, I like being able to fold it and put it in my pocket. Lots of my friends have switched to Samsung since seeing my phone.

For FaceTime, there's google duo or whatsapp. For imessage, there's whatsapp. Google photos is also incredible. Every day, I'm showing friends, family, coworkers just how incredible the flip is and all the cool features that seemingly never end! Amazing phone!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HINGE IS NOT DURABLE/SO DISAPPOINTED!!! I have always had Samsung phones and they have been awesome. However, The Flip 4's hinge makes the phone not worth buying. My husband and I both got the Flip 4's in the beginning of January. I bought protective cases specifically designed to have added protection for the hinge. I reviewed all the cases I could find and bought the one that was most recommended. My husband and I are not careless with our phones but everyone does occasionally drop their phone. The beginning of April he dropped his from about waste high. It landed on the ground in our yard, (with the protective case on) not concrete or blacktop but a grassy area and the hinge broke and would not open fully. His screen cracked and within a day it was not functioning. I dropped my phone yesterday (not even waste high) but in the house on hardwood flooring. I also had my protective case on the phone. The phone hinge did the exact same thing. It would not open fully. My screen did not crack but it would no longer charge. We bought the insurance plans through T mobile and it costs about $110 for the replacement. But what happens if we accidentally drop the new replacement phone in the next few months and it breaks again because of the fragility of the hinge?? That would be a very expensive phone for such a short life span of the phone. It's very unfortunate because we LOVED the way the flip phone protected the screen, the size when folded, and the screen features also worked great. But all those great features are useless when it is so easily broken. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WILL CRACK THE SCREEN AND BREAK THE PHONE Fine if you're okay with having a phone for a year TOPS. I bought this new maybe a year ago and since then the screen protector AND THE SCREEN has cracked and ruined my phone. Theres a black screen spreading from the inner fold, the actual screen is bubbling, the entire top half does not work, and the bottom is spazzing. NO reason to get this phone. Sure the storage and layout was fine but so is every other phone on the market these days with a price like this. They will not take accountability for the screen fold being a manufacturing problem and you will be left with nothing. DO NOT PURCHASE, just get a regular samsung. PS I had an excellent case and would carefully clean and care for my phone and the screen protector. It felt like a ticking time bomb as I watched it crack more and more. Just not worth anything.

Put it in my pocket and go to take it back out and it doesn't even open all the way and my screen quits working. Took it to my cell phone carrier and am accused of dropping phone and told that if they send it back to Samsung they will send it back saying ita broken. Disappointed Samsung won't back up their products as I've had every Samsung starting with the note 5. Never had an issue before this. I think a company should back up their products and honor their manufacturer warranties. If you have a phone that flips open, then it should do that. Poor quality and even more poor of customer service and backing their products. May switch to a diffrent brand after this. If this is how a company is, I'd rather go with another that will back yp their products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be EXTRA Careful Initially, I loved the phone, but don't ever drop it or you will be out of luck! dropped it with a case on it after having the phone a month. went through the trouble of sending it back to Samsung. Although the phone was a month old I was still charged as it didn't fall under warranty :( it was fine I was happy to get my phone back only to mistakenly drop it again after a few months and have the same problem.. unable to open the phone fully and unable to use the top half of the screen. Don't get me wrong I love the phone, but don't waste your money unless of course you can be super careful with it

I go back to the AT&T to change my phone but they said there is no insurance so they can't replace it. I'm paying for a broken phone. I'm wasting my money on this phone.

I have had Samsung phones for over 10 yrs. and NEVER had any issues at all!!! i wish i would have kept my Note 10+. i am going to get this screen fixed and will be trading it in ASAP!! Samsung needs to recall all of these flip phones. Shame on you Samsung!!!!!!!!

I rather have a phone 8 years old than this 1 thats how bad this phone is ...its the 2nd 1 broken in 4 months please do not waste ur money and samsung wont help u and now seem to be refusing 2 give me a refund and there only option is 4 me to trade it in for a new phone at 500 $ half the price i brought it for sounds like samsung knows they r selling crap and dont care

I am so impressed with the screen, the quickness of technology, and Samsung's interface is so awesome and seemless. No complaints so far and now just waiting for my phone case to come in to keep this baby protected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bad hinge device that will break always loved samsung but they missed with this one. the phone hing is faulty and breaks with the smallest fall and they do not stand behind there product this time. with flip 3 they supported it with its flaws but they have chosen not to support a bad product. they changed to a cheap hinge that leaves you with a phone that you cant open all the way. and it will cost you $400 to get it fixed. sad to say ill be switching phones but not to samsung. also wont be going to apple. dont know what to do. hope that they relize its a bad product and fix it back to the old hinge before the next release.

Nevertheless I bought galaxy ultra. 22, I didn’t like it that much it wasn’t a fun phone. I took the leap. I put accessories on the flip I like it so far. I have been very careful with it though.

I've always loved flip phones. Haven't had one in over 15years it's easy to put in my pocket seeing that my job requires to use my hands constantly. It's easy for me to use seeing I'm a senior. So I do recommend this flip phone for people of my age group.

The ability to use the front screen to take photos without having to open your phone is wonderful. The pixel are clear as can be. This phone is practical, being perfect to fit in your pocket taking up no more room than a makeup compact. The flip feature makes this andriod phone the most rugged I've seen. I love this phone

The only gripe I have is that it cuts off some videos on Instagram, the cover display also not letting you change the timer from that screen is a little annoying. I wish the cover screen display time out time could be change. Besides that I really feel like this phone was made for me.

But year after year (this my 4th z flip phone) I still end up wishing I had a better camera. For a while I just settle for the compromise. Great phone, compact, hi tech but mediocre camera. I even got my self a mirror less camera for those moments where I actually want to take a photo. But then I realize that there are some events where I need a reliable phone camera, and this is not it. I have to say, I'll wait for the next version but I might just find myself getting a different device with the spec that I need.

I was skeptical about getting a flip phone, let alone switching to android. I knew after the first day that I made a great decision. The Z Flip4 pretty much will walk you through how to set up anything, it is easy to carry in your pocket, great screen and fabulous camera. My favorite is being able to take a selfie using the rear camera, my other phones sure couldn't. If you are thinking about purchasing this phone, do it, you will love it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Product! This is the worst phone! 2 month after purchase, the pixels started blacking out. Spot grew larger by the hour. Eventually, half the phone was black. Could not do anything with the phone since the blacked out area would not respond. Samsung replaced the screen. Their service was great. Three to four month later the screen is failing again. I have been careful not to fold the phone, only doing it occasionally. Kept it in a case. Doing what I could to maintain the integrity of the screen. It failed! Line starting to form along the fold. Bottom half of the screen is flickering and flashes green lines.

This Z Flip is only several months old and the hinges broke on it. I had to drive 2 hours away to a UPS store because the ATT agent at the showroom said they weren't responsible for them. The current UPS store apologized but the closest UPS that would accept cell phone mail off was in Tupelo MS!! 2 weeks later I get my phone back repaired but all the information, contacts etc., is wiped out and I have no way to retrieve my information that was on there. What kind of service is this? We are in the AI age people, come out of the 1900's. The small phone itself is nice to be able to put in your pocket, but the hinging is faulty....it needs to be made stronger with a case that will protect it properly. The return service sucks to have to drive 2 hours away to a UPS that will accept sending them off. -Unhappy 20 year customer

Had to get repaired. A few days later, I dropped it (my fault), and the hinge and screen broke. Everything they say about it being "tough" are lies. I had a Speigen case on it and that did nothing. Would have been worse without it though. The camera picture quality is awful and the battery runs out quickly. Don't buy.

My experiences are: if you have used Maps this phone would not let me answer an incoming call; Samsung did an update and I kept putting it out to later but it eventually did the update on its own, after which the front screen has no longer worked; the inner screen at the Fold has cracked and is bubbling up so you cannot swipe and cannot read what is under the Crack at the Fold. Nice idea but lousy execution. Certainly not worth the money.

I can have music playing (spotify) look at the internet and get hours upon hours before I have to charge. The flip definitely feels much stronger. I got the bespoke navy color and love it!

I can appreciate all features that make every phone unique. This device really is special. Does it have the best camera, no. That is my only gripe. Fortunately that doesn't bother me. The cameras on this phone still are phenomenal. It's the size, the satisfaction of the fold, and the flip... It's just PERFECT. I had the earlier version of this phone, and decided to upgrade because I believe in this device. You have to experience it for yourself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst phone ever!!!!! My boyfriend bought this phone about 4 months ago and it's already garbage!!! When he first got it it had issues opening and closing correctly. The outside of the phone is super slippery like it was made that way on purpose.... to fall out of your hand constantly! The price for this underdeveloped and under researched phone is absolutely ridiculous!!! Do not buy this phone it has too many issues and bugs with the whole folding and opening of the phone to be worth what they're trying to make you pay!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Screen cracks consistently!! I had a zflip3 that cracked 3 times at the fold within the first year. I was told by Samsung that the issue had been corrected with the zflip4 so I paid off my 3 and purchased a 4 during a holiday deal. Four months in and go figure the screen cracked and lifted again. 3 visits to the repair shop and 5 calls to Samsung for one repair. Unfortunately Samsung does not recognize their design flaw but the repair shops said the 4's are worse! Too bad I'm stuck with this phone for another 18 months before I can upgrade. Guess I'll just wait to join the class action suits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flimsy cheap screen Let me start by saying I usually love Samsung phones...but this one is absolute trash. I had to replace my first one due to issues with the charging port. My second one...well that tough as nails gorilla glass apparently is not that tough after all. My phone has an indentation on the screen and after taking it to T Mobile and speaking with a rep he said that something my have gotten in between the screen when i closed it...now my screen will not turn on. I have a phone case on it and have never dropped it in the 2.5 weeks that i have had it. Camera is also subpar but thats not really an issue more a preference. Again, I love Samsungs but I deeply regret upgrading from my Note 20 to this garbage device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phone hits pavement at 20 m.p.h. screen untouched The flip 4 is a tough little bugger. I recently purchased a E-Bike it's speed tops out at 20 m.p.h. and was out on the first ride ever. Had made it 8 miles when the accident happened the wheels came out from under me and I hit the asphalt at 20 m.p.h. My flip 4 was on the handlebars when it happened and came loose it also hit the ground at 20 m.p.h. and skidded about 10' from me or so. The only damage my flip 4 sustained was on the top half along the right and bottom corner of the phone shows that an abrasive surface was rubbed across it and the top camera lens has slight chipping along the outer side no scratches over the lens the bottom lens has a couple of very minor scratches and chipping around the outer edge. other than that it looks brand now. The bottom half outside sustained no damage and the screen looks brand new fresh out of box. any other phone and the screen if useable at all would have been a giant spider web of damage from the force of the fall. Did I mention it has no case? I use a pouch for daily carrying. I will be staying with the galaxy flip line. I will update this as soon as I can with photos.

Turns out even the asurion techs say it is very common and do not recommend. Regretful purchase.

Samsung would not stand behind their product. Concept is good, the device just isn't durable. Mine broke from a 30 inch fall onto carpet, I had a Spigen Tough Armor case on it too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung sucks don't buy flip z 4 This phone is garbage and so is samsung co. I got flip z 4 last August. I've had 3 since then. First 2 were hinge issues. The last I had babied it, took the utmost care. Sent it back to samsung as I had a black mark across screen where it folds. I was told it has physical damage and they won't warranty but I can pay them 377.79. I've talked to phone carrier employees and I've heard the same over and over. Don't buy it. I had the flip 3. Loved it. I loved this 1 but I'm not buying a product that breaks if you talk to loud. As of today they've had my phone a week and no one can tell me when my phone will be shipped or where it even is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not A Happy Customer The worse phone possible, this is my second flip4, first one went black no damage, but paid the insurance because I got no help from the verizon store, now the second phone has double lines at the fold and the phone is turning yellow, green and black, again Verizon said no damage, no cracks phone looks great but will not help because I went through Asurion. Have to go to Asurion again and if they can't fix the screen I have pay the copays for insurance again. This phone should be recalled and I'm stuck paying over 1000 for nothing. I don't think a customer should have go through this, its a scam. These companies are making so much money and I haven't even had this phone 9 months and I will have a third one. I really wish one of these companies Samsung, Verizon, Verizon authorized dealer and Asurion would just do the right thing. I know they will not. I recommend that you don't buy this phone.

I bought the flip 4 and 4 months after i bought it, the screen shows a huge horrible indentation in the middle across the screen and it looks terrible. The concept is wonderful but the technology is clearly not there yet. Stick to the traditional screen phones.

I should have looked up more specs before settling on this phone as everything about this device is a poor quality, from the camera to phone resolution and slow app speed. Most of the features I could live with, except for the battery life. This phone has the worst battery life and had to constantly be plugged it. The battery cannot get me through an 8 hour work day, even with minimal usage before it overheats or dies. Other than the fold, this phone is not worth it and is a major let down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly disappointed I’ve had this phone since October and the hinge is now broken. Like many people with this issue, it’s stuck at a 90 degree angle. I sent it in for repair and now told that the repair is on hold because they don’t have the parts to fix it yet. This has honestly been a horrible experience. I cancelled my order for an iPhone 14 for this phone and I deeply regret it. It’s a great phone until it isn’t. Battery life isn’t great either. I’d love to exchange it for something else but doubt that is going to happen. I don’t even want it back. How long until the issue happens again and I’m without a phone for two weeks? Until I have to send it back and spend more money? This is the most I’ve ever spent on a phone and it lasted three months. Absolutely do not recommend.

But I may add a week after that started I dropped it on my motorcycle doing 55 mph and all it did was break the outer glass lower peice and made the inner screen stop cutting out. So is it durable yes but why did it break its self.

The whole phone on it's own is amazing thus far. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a flip phone, it's versatility is awesome.

That's part of the whole appeal of this phone! It's still nice to be able to set it down and scroll or take a picture, but now that the screen adjustment has been taken away, it's not as nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fragile with Insulting Support I'm utterly disappointed in the device and with Samsung. I'm general use, I was disappointed with the camera quality and the battery life. My biggest beef is with the hinge. Mine, all of a suddenly started to malfunction. The device wouldn't open an the way and the screen created damage at the crease that kept spreading. I took to my carrier, referred me to Samsung. Drove to Glendale expecting this be a non-dramatic fix to my problem. The two said that it would be fixed in about 5 days. I still have my S22Ultra, so this want a big deal to me. Then the two went on an exhaustive search and find a small nick, which he says means that I have to pay $349 to fix a hinge that is well documented, on the Internet, to malfunction. The nick happened in September while I was waiting for my case to arrive. It has ZERO to do with their faulty hinge.
