Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cracked within 1 Day, Terrible Battery Life I received this as a gift, new in the box. Within one day of wearing it around the house, the screen was terribly cracked. The battery stayed charged for only 8 hours. I had to turn off almost all the features to get it to stay charged for one day. This watch is NOT for anyone with an active lifestyle. You should definitely buy a case and screen protector immediately. I cannot return it because I do not have a receipt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Features I bought this a few weeks ago and im hooked, i dont use this watch to its fullest by any means but i use the texting and calling portion 90% of the time with abluetooth headset. i work outside and leave my note 10+ safely in its case all day so it saves the phones battery. watch will last two days, 3 if you set it to black background.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functional watch Long time Samsung user but not happy with this purchase. Okay functional fitness focused watch. Black version scratches very easily. Don't buy black unless you want to put a bumper right away. 6 months and still waiting for my pre-order gift wireless charger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from mediocre watch I've had this watch for several months now so feel as though I can speak to its features. Pluses: fashionable, comfortable, affordable. Minuses: terrible battery (24 hours at best without gps use. I use its fitness features almost daily so huuuge battery drain), terrible sleep monitoring (for when I dont plan on using next day because battery wont last), mediocre heart rate monitoring ( rarely captures if doing anything cardio even when I have it on appropriately and it was clean before I started- but I sweat a little so maybe it wont track if my wrist gets sweaty....but i did get it for workout tracking so???), the slightest touch to its face by any area of my body and sometimes clothing wakes it up to its edit face, step tracking inaccurate (I work 12 hours days as a nurse on my feet and I might capture 5000 steps... really?). I don't recommend for someone wanting serious tracking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good features for the price, and great for newbies This is my first smartwatch, though my husband has had another samsung watch for 2 years. It was easy to navigate and figure out how to work. The app on the phone works wonderfully, something I wasn't expecting. Pros- The battery life is great so far, I haven't tried the always on feature for fear of it dying while I'm at work but its held its charge so well I may try it soon. The watch is very comfortable, even placed above wrist bone as suggested and is tight enough yet not too tight to monitor my sleep, which was my priority when deciding which one I would get. I no longer feel it. There are many screen faces to choose from, free and paid for, I have one that cost $1, but I can change the color to almost anything, allowing me to use Tue same face with a color that reflects either clothes or seasons. The screen is very easy to navigate and I love that you can place what you want in order and get rid of what you don't use. The notifications took a bit of playing around to figure out how to choose what apps to get notifications for and which not to. I really love the alarm feature. When your alarm goes off and you sleep with the watch on as I do, your alarm rings on the watch with the ability to snooze or dismiss on your wrist without having to fumble for your phone. And whichever you choose to respond to, phone or watch, the synced response is almost instant so you're not waiting for one device to figure out that the alarm was turned off. I am happy with this watch though like all things there are some cons. Cons- Screen response when checking the time is lacking if you do not make an exaggerated effort to check the time. This is annoying when your other hand is full and you have to drop and raise and shake your arm repeatedly to check the time. Which is why I will have to see if the always on display can last me the day. No left handed adjustments. This isn't a huge issue. As you just get used to it over time, like the com.puter mouse or spiral notebooks and scissors,,,, lefties are always forgotten. but it is a bit awkward at first, having to wrap your other hand around to press the buttons on the side. No water reminder without buying an app for $5. I was hoping and under the assumption that all smart watches had a reminder feature for either working out or drinking water. I've been trying to drink more but my job is busy works constantly moving and hours go by without realizing it and so I wanted something that tells me to drink water every XX mins. Another thing that is more of a personal issue and not a device flaw. The biggest let down though was the blood pressure monitoring. As advertised and in many articles this watch was supposed to take blood pressure which I guess after failures they took away that feature. I found an app that does it but to even use it I have to spend 3 weeks checking blood pressure with a separate machine at least 3 times a day. Also an issue if you work the hours I do and don't own a machine. Heart rate graphs not provided. I've tried several apps and only one has provided an actual bpm graph showing the heart beats and not just listing the bpm numbers. And that app uses constant monitoring so it drains the battery in 5 hours. I have arrhythmias and I wanted to have that history of how many times a day it happens and I need a graph to actually show the skipping. A bpm is simply not enough. Even as something you just choose by manual measurements, I wish there was a graph to go with that on the app. Because the sessions usually last long enough to press the button and measure it. It shows it clearly on the watch face but the graph does not save or transfer to the apps. Just the bpm. I am aware of my issues with this being personal and not reflective of device error for the most part. Which is why I still love this watch and give it 4 stars. I don't think its 5 stars because it does not have some features mentioned that other sport watches in the price range have. I hope the 2nd gen reflects those shortcomings. I believe more time needs to be spent to develop new devices. Every year is not enough time to fix mistakes and try new things before release. That goes with phones tablets computers and TVs too. People get tech thirsty and electronic waste is rampant while devices are falling short because of the rushed timeline. I believe that's what happened with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Love Love it ! I have been trying to be more active after having a baby, and my husband ordered this watch for me, it helped motivate me even more. i love it, it is very light, you barely feel that you are wearing it. its very sleek, it actually goes with dresses, sports outfits and is not as bulky as the other Samsung watches. I do not regret this purchase- definitely worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not water resistant under normal use (splashing) This watch was purchased less than one year ago. Within 7 months of normal use (splashing at most) there was a water ingress problem. Samsung Watch warranty does not cover water ingress, which is understandable from the standpoint of unknown submersion conditions, etc. However, in the case of normal use as stated by a customer (me), Samsung should trust the customer's explanation, and assist the customer with a discount on watch replacement price. Instead, Samsung has no interest in customer retention or preventing damage to their brand reputation. The Galaxy Watch failed under normal use, in under 7 months. Samsung did nothing to help with replacement. Samsung has lost a customer over a small problem that could have easily been resolved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best smartwatch This is by the far the best smartwatch I have purchased so far. I have a smaller wrist so this fits be perfectly with out looking too big. I have other watches that have a bulky height. This one is the best. I really like that its sleek. This watch is easy set up and get going. If you have multiple Samsung watches like me there is a feature that wil allow you to connect to whichever watch you are wearing without having to go through the whole set up process. I like that you can also switch out the watchband with your typical watchband as long as the measurements are the same. This is a great watch for someone to start out with for the first time or as a regular watch wearer. This watch also charges very quickly on the battery charger. I can charge it while I take a shower and it's charged up enough to last the day. I also like that the watch charger is smaller and compact and easily fits in my purse. I have really enjoyed this watch. It has most of the same capabilities that any other Samsung watch has with the exception of the microphone and the ability to talk on a phone call with it. Honestly, I haven't missed the feature. I really also like the affordability this watch offers. Anyone can get a really nice watch for less. If you buy this you wont be sorry. It's a great buy and very durable. I am very rough on my watches and often have broken many regular watches by hitting it on things. This has stood up to the test of my ruggedness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Smartwatch Ive Been Looking For I love this watch! It monitors and records my daily steps, sleep patterns, heart rate, and so much more to help me be more proactive about my health. It was easy to customize the watch face and buttons to my personal liking. I really enjoy how well it works great with my Spotify account and getting my phone notifications on my wrist. The watch is not too heavy so I can wear it all day and even when sleeping without discomfort. I am not getting a few days of usage on the battery, but it does not take long to charge it. The functionality packed into this smaller smartwatch has exceeded my expectations and it has become a necessity in my life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Start The Galaxy Watch Active is a great start to a new twist on fitness based watches. Extremely customization, aesthetically pleasing build, and loaded with various functions, this watch can fit any lifestyle, not just for the fitness crowd. First thing I noticed about the watch when trying it on for the first time was the weight. This watch is extremely light, and fits extremely comfortable on the wrists. I have a large wrist in the watch comes with an extra larger band inside, or you can purchase a new one of your own to customize as you see fit. The watch counts steps, tracks heart rate, seems to do a solid job of figuring out when I'm exercising so it keeps track of my calories I'm burning. The watch comes preset with various faces, ranging from a minimalist aesthetic, all the way to an info heavy look that can show you things ranging from calories burnt, steps, battery life, weather, or whatever you choose to be on them. There's also a store with more faces offered for free and some to pay for, needless to say there are many options for people. That being said about the face, one of the cons of the watch is the thick black bezel that is around the face, and its unused. I've owned older Samsung watches, and very much enjoyed the rotating or touch sensitive approach to how the bezel was used to help with navigation. There are two buttons on the side of the watch that are suppose to serve those same functions but they aren't as efficient as the rotating bezels of the other models. Not to say that getting around the watch is a slog, the watch is responsive. It's just that space could have served a better purpose. Another con would be the battery life. With most of the notification settings left to whatever the app defaulted them to, I barely could get a day and a half worth of life out the watch. I had to reduce the amount of apps sending me notifications, and tinker with the screen not turning on because of them, to help stretch it out to about 2 days before a charge. It's a mild disappointment seeing that the screen is smaller than other watches. With that all being said, this is a great start to a new line of watches from Samsung. A new version will surely address some of the issues with this first step, and its exciting to think about how the Active watch will go from here. A great screen, lots of functionality, customization options, make this watch an incredible deal for the price that will only get better as the years go by.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible battery I bought this on release, with the hopes of not having to carry around my phone on my runs. Boy was I mistaken. The battery doesn't last more than 2 hours when tracking a run, horrible for those long distance runs. Most of the apps don't work properly. Spotify is broken, strava is broken. The music app on the watch is okay, sometimes to skips songs in the middle of playing it. The built in fitness tracker app in the watch is horribly flawed. You wanna keep track of your deadlifts? Well if your battery last your trek to the gym, you program a set of 10, and perform them, it only logs 3 or 4, not logging the rest. Same thing with the other programmed exercises. The built in running tracker doesn't properly log your distance, often missing about .5-.7 miles on your run. I've used strava on my phone, with the watch's running app, and measured bot. On a 3mile run, the watch only tracked 2.36miles, while my phone tracked the entire distance. Overall, this was such a waste of money. I had really hoped this watch was going to be great, something that could replace my phone while working out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Samsung Active Watch in review So at first glance this watch is sleek and slim, it has a well made watch casing and seams to have a durable watch band. The operating system is very responsive and extremely easy to navigate! I had a Samsung Gear sport before and the system is very similar but I have actually found myself exploring this watches apps alot more. I do think it is a little easier to navigate without the rotating bezel that the Samsung Gear Sport has. I have tested out numerous wat h faces from the Samsung Wear app (just the free ones) and the display is amazing. I have received multiple updates from Samsung on the OS already so it seems as if Samsung is trying to perfect it's abilities. If I had to say anything bad about this watch, I think it would be that I am very disappointed in the lock of a BP monitor unless you have a newer Samsung phone! I did email the developer of the app that monitors the Blood Pressure and they have no plans to extend it out to any other cell phone equipment. It's not a huge deal but I was hopeful to be able to test that out since I have High BP and test it with a cuff anyway. I have the green one and let me tell you I was skeptical at first but it absolutely looks great on my wrist. I definitely would recommend this thing to a friend or family member!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Galaxy Active Watch I have had a Samsung smart watch in the past. Believe it or not, a Samsung Galaxy Gear 1, the first generation Samsung Smart watch which lasted me about 6 years and had a camera included. But, enough about my past watch. I was chosen to try the Samsung Gear Active. I was pleasantly surprised by the watch. Small, techy looking and pretty easy to use, pair and use. The face of the watch is small for my small wrist, and sleek looking. You have a variety of background "watch faces" that you can select from and personalize the watch face. You can choose to make the watch stay on all of the time, or be activities by hand or wrist movement. A slight flick of the wrist, your watch face will light up with very little effort. I have a background. You can look at heart rate, oxygenation levels in your body, use the Samsung Galaxy Health app to visualize your sleep patterns showing REM sleep, wakefulness, and a few other attributes. I enjoy testing my oxygenation levels and my sleep patterns showing REM sleep. Just because I felt like I have had a poor night's sleep, I actually have something I can bank on showing how poor my sleep actually was and say, look, I had 1 hour 30 minutes of REM sleep for 8 hours. I should have had 2 hours 15 minutes (or whatever ratio you should have to be restful and awake during your work day. I like the features to put in activities, like walking, jogging, swimming , biking, etc., for active people. I can say I am not that active, as I have a very sedentary job and am expected for my 10 hour shifts to really sit down and do my job and not meander about the office space. The Samsung Galaxy "Wearable" app is easy to download to your phone, set up your preferences and notifications. You have notifications reminding you to get up, move about every hour; be active. I find the watch very easy to use. I find that my charge levels seem to give me about 24 - 36 hours of use. This is with the watch face not being active all day, all hours. I use the watch at night to study sleep patterns. I do not and have not use this for swimming or even worn it in the shower, but it claims that you can use is it in water, just push the icon that shows a water drop and it will register your swimming activities. I find that it keeps really good track of steps and activity levels and helps you be a bit more active when you see you haven't reached your steps for the day, or wellness challenges at work, or just your personal goals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is the Goat Let me start this review by saying that the Galaxy Watch Active has absolutely surpassed my expectations. Coming from the Gear S3, I didn't think I was going to like the smaller form factor. But I did. I love the how lightweight and well made it is. I was able to grab some different watch bands and can't tell you how many compliments I received about the watch. The Galaxy Active runs Tizen OS which is Samsung's own operating system. I found it to be better and more advanced that Wear OS. I am big fan of the fitness tracking features such as step-counting, calorie-counting, sleep timing and the reminders I get when I am inactive. I love it when it tells me to go for a walk. In addition, the notifications are pretty accurate and keep up to date with my appointments and messages. One of the most underrated features is the speed of charging. The Galaxy Watch Active is best smartwatch I have used to date ( Samsung, Huawei Watch, Motorola and Mobvoi. I have no problem at all recommending it to friends and family! A job well done Samsung!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not for me I personally do not like this watch. I went from using a garmin to using this watch. It does connect to my samsung health app which is nice. BUT my calories for workouts have been off by 100-150 calories each workout. its very frustrating. I really want to return it because it is not for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Sidekick The Galaxy Watch Active is a feature packed device at a lower cost than its competitors. It is light weight with soft silicon straps. Its offers a pretty good user experience. Touch are responsive and the two side button are a great addition to the UI experience. The watch can pair with both an Android and iOS devices. However, with my Note9, it was effortless. Upon turn on the watch, the app open the wearable app opened up and prompt for easy pairing. On the fitness side, after sitting down for a while, the watch will prompt your to move around and give you kudos once you did. It has many different activity tracker that one can select. It auto track your sleep patterns and show you how well you sleep (need to work on mine). One of the key feature I have trouble getting to work properly is with the My BP Lap app, calibrated once and couldn’t get it to work after that. I recently realized that my watch is an International version and seem to be missing few features available in the US, My BP Lap and Samsung Pay included. GPS is very responsive and seem very accurate. Swim-proof, so I can work-out and shower with it with no worries. On a full charge I can get 2 day out of it in case for when I do forget to do so. Customizable is an understatement. It can be change to fit everyone’s feel and look. Bunch of apps and watch faces Overall I love the watch, has all the feature of a smart watch/fitness tracking and then some. The auto tracking from sleep to running and walking is amazing and you don’t have to do a thing. I couldn’t be happier. I will definitely recommend this watch to anyone and they surely will love it. Update: 7/28 - I was able to change the region to US now I got everything that was missing, Yay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from battery problem I owned this watch for less than a month. The battery life is short, although I turn off many others notifications. I mainly use it to track my workout and sleep. I also experiencing some problems with the watch which I tried to charge but it was not charging. After trying a few times, it finally charge. I want to return it, but I guess it has pass the returning time frame. Purchased on July 4th 2019, received on July 8th 2019, and today is August 1st 2019. They makes the returning date is really short, and you won't find the problems untill 2 - 3 weeks after you using it, which is already pass the return date. I am a student nurse. One of the features attracts me the most is to measure blood pressure. I compared the measurement with my BP devices and the watch, it does have some different... not fully accurate... well... a good try. Anyway, the design is pretty nice... smooth to touch, waterproof (with shower, no problem) not sure with swimming, haven't try it yet... I think it track my running distance nicely... the biggest reason I got the watch is to track my run (miles and time). I think the watch probably won't last long since battery has problem. For a price tag of $200.... I wish it could last longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Smartwatch I love my Active watch. i love that it encourages me to keep moving. All help is needed, especially since i sit at a desk job all day. It has a nice slick design, not bulky or overpowering on my wrist. It pairs up easily to your smart phone and communicates well with your phone. The battery life is great, no need to charge every single day. I have enjoyed getting to see all this watch does. I would definitely recommend this watch to all my friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun smartwatch that looks great I love this watch, I heard about it from a product testing group I am a part of, and everyone seemed to rave about it, so I decided to give it a try. It looks great with any outfit and it’s super “sporty” so you can wear it all day and still look cute/fancy. It tracks so many different health functions like sleep, heart rate and blood, stress levels and more. I am having so much fun using it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Watch, could be better I have a Apple Watch 4 and looking for a inexpensive watch for walking and working out without worrying about breaking. The Fitbit was garbage, but the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is a little more expensive than I wanted to pay but a nice watch. This is exactly want I wanted for a workout watch without all the bells and whistles as the Apple Watch. The design is actually really nice, but the watch face is a bit smaller than expected, but it actually fits nice and hardly know it's on. Here are the good and bad. GOOD: nice clear screen, lightweight, a lot of watch faces, watchband east to take on/off, More apps than I expected. Easy to setup and sync, pretty accurate. BAD: IOS app is buggy and can't always connect to the Galaxy Store. Dissapointed with battery life. Not too many watchbands available for the Galaxy Active. Backup/Restore is worthless, because it can't really backup anything useful like the data and watch faces. I reinstalled the IOS app and lost all the data and had to re-pair and reinstall everything. Samsung need to supply a reliable cloud backup/restore as Apple does. It's not an Apple Watch, but I think it's a pretty decent watch compared to others on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fitness Powerhouse The Galaxy Watch Active is an awesome tool for working out and fitness tracking. It goes beyond the functions of a normal smart and tracks heart rate, blood pressure and stress levels, sleep patterns and a ton of different exercises automatically. I’ve always hated having to count reps when I work out as it seems to make the time go by slower, but with The Galaxy Watch Active the watch automatically counts my number of reps, pushups, you name it, so I can focus on my music and getting through my workout. Speaking of music, the watch has Bluetooth so I can even listen to my music from it while I work out. I love working out with the Active it makes it so much easier and way more fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 1st SmartWatch I have the Galaxy Watch Active. The best thing about this watch is the battery life, it can go a couple days between charges. I also really like the curved edge of the screen, it makes it feel sleek and modern. It has so many features and apps available. I mostly use it to track steps and controlling the music on my phone. Lately, I have been trying out the text message "quick reply" feature, and love it. Now I don't even have to touch my phone to read texts and respond.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor Build I bought this watch and two weeks from the day I bought it it bumped a wall really lightly and the screen chipped. Support was not able to do anything because it was physical damage. Other than this it has good performance. If your going to buy this watch make sure not to breath on it so it wont break.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a great watch! I love my Samsung Galaxy Watch Active! It’s an awesome watch, very sleek and stylish. The face is very customizable with color and styles. Battery works great, its lasts about 2.5 days and its wireless charging. Takes about 2hours to charge from 0 to 100%. I am able to receive notifications on my wrist and also can respond to texts right from watch. I love that it lets me know when I haven't been active for a while and when I've reached my goals. I am happy with my watch and will recommend this to everyone. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like it a lot i wish a smaller face size was available. 40mm is a little big for my liking but that is just my preference. the only negative is the battery life. it needs to be charged every day and a half to 2 days. devices i've had in the past have usually lasted twice as long on a charge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from terrible i bought this watch in 12/19 when i was 4 months pregnant. i always used the "swim" setting when showering. one day after my shower it stopped working. i saw there was a very small wire hanging out. sent it in for repair. i was told water resistance is not the same as waterproof and that i shouldn't have worn it in the shower. i asked why there was a swim setting if it couldn't handle a shower. the next person told me that high altitudes and sudden temperature changes can damage the watch. i pointed out my high risk pregnancy and c section. i haven't done any recent mountain climbing or sky diving activities, but in the end, samsung refused to honor their warranty and wants to charge me more than the cost of a new watch just to fix the one that should be covered under warranty!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery life is very disappointing i switched to samsung from fitbit hoping that a watch specifically designed to work with my samsung phone would be an advantage. unfortunately, the watch itself starts at 100% at 545 am every morning. by 8pm it is between 10 to 20%. it vibrates randomly with no notifications. it loses heart rate frequently during various exercise sessions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active is a great is a great electronic purchase I have made. I brought the Samsung Galaxy earbuds in January and with both items I'm about to call some back using the watch and talking with my earbuds, text, keep track of my activity movements, heart rate, calendar, sleep time and so much more. I feel this purchase was a very good investment. Get you one!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No water resistance at all. I bought this item about 3 months ago. it was really cool, I say not so bed. You need to charge the watch every day, the battery life was almost 26-27 hours. So as it is water resistance I was swimming with my watch, until one day the screen turned off right in the water, and did not respond ever again. And yes it was in the swimming mode. Right now the display is not working at all. The IMPORTANT part of all this is that that liquid damage is not covered under the warranty. So why are You writing that the watch is water resistance ???, maybe it would be better to write - It CAN BE water resistance, or can not, just try and find out. If I bought something water resistance and it started to not work because of the water, I believe that the support need to do anything to fix this problem, but not the answer I get. This was the answer 'Please be advised that liquid damage is not covered under the warranty. It means that you will have to pay for the repair.'

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Samsung 9 won't charge the watch It looked good the 3 hours it worked before the battery died. It won't charge on a Samsung Note 9 and does not come with anything to charge it with. So I guess it only works if you have a certain phone. As to the rest of what it does, it went on that's all I know. I tried to find watch faces with my phone at the samsung app store and all I can or could ever see are a bunch of colored tiles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sadly disappointed, I really wanted this watch I was so excited to get this watch. Was. I don't receive any kind of notification on my watch. If check my watch I can see if there is notifications but my Garmin would vibrate when a text came in, where there was a call, or for my security camera. Nothing on this watch. I don't get any prompts to move/breathe or anything unless I manually go to that. I get that i know when but part of the features is it is supposed to do this. When it says days for the battery life that is very misleading. Day. And mind you this is without me actually using any of the functions on the watch because I don't get notified of anything. The battery takes HOURS to charge. It is on the charger more than my wrist. The charger makes my watch really HOT after it's been on there charging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look somewhere else Bought this with high expectations. Did all the research, read all the reviews, checked all the sites, and was sure this was the perfect watch for someone like me with an active lifestyle. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Just get the Apple Watch. First off and the main problem, it doesn't perform it's primary function - accurately tracking my steps and movement. There is a lot of variability tracking steps. I bought this thing to track my runs, so the fact that it sometimes under reports my steps/distance means it's not super useful to me. If I run the same route, I expect to have the same distance shown each time, so I can know how I'm doing. This watch often reports a different distance for the same route. The watch is slow and not very responsive. You often have to exaggerate your moments to get it to respond. Bixby, the assistant, sleeps on the job, so you end up doing the work. I don't even bother trying to use it anymore. The S Health app is sick (not in a good way). Not useful at all and needs significant improvement. Speaking of apps, this watch doesn't pair well with another popular fitness tracker app that I use on my phone. Sometimes I end up using the app on my phone, in addition to this watch. (So why even bother with the watch?) The only plus is the battery life. Also it looks kinda cool. If you're considering this watch, run the other way! (Hopefully you're wearing another smartwatch or phone that can accurately record that movement.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Offline Music this watch is amazing for the price. it has built in gps. notifications from different apps like messages, messenger and whatsapp. but to me the best feature is offline music. if you have a spotify account it lets you download a playlist for offline listening through bluetooth headphones. that means you dont have to carry your phone around to the gym or when running.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glossy coating on the band starts peeling! I bought this 1 month ago and the glossy coating on the original Samsung silicone band started peeling. I raised my concern to Samsung, and their response was its normal "wear and tear". It's extremely ugly to look at. Huge design flaw on the strap. Should not have the glossy coating on silicone, now it just looks bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Water Damage from my sweat???? I purchased this watch for myself and my wife for Christmas and I really liked the watch. I had no issues with my watch until just recently when one morning it completely shut off. My battery was around 55% when it just shut off. I tried turning it back on but was unable to get it to power on. I tried charging it thinking that maybe somehow the battery drained completely but nothing worked. I was still well under warranty and so I didn't think much of it, I contacted customer service and within a day they had received the watch at their repair facility. This is where things went wrong. I expected Samsung to send me an email, stating they had found the issue and repaired the watch and would be sending it back to me. The email I got was quite a bit different. I was told in the email that my watch wouldn't be covered under warranty and to call 1 800 SAMSUNG to pay the amount they determined was owed. The amount they wanted for repair was more than the cost of the watch brand new. I decided to call the number provided to discuss what was going on. The lady that answered and helped me was nice and understanding but wasn't able to get me much information. All she said was that the "repair technician" had reported that water damage had ruined the watch. First off this watch has never been in any water at all, in fact the most moisture it had ever been exposed to was the sweat on my wrist during my workouts. Also Samsung advertises this watch as water resistant???? How does a water resistant watch get water damage from the sweat off my skin???? I own only Samsung products and have never had any issues with a single one, however, I've never had to submit a warranty claim on any of my Samsung products. If this is how Samsung treats warranty claims I will be rethinking my loyalty to this company. I've always recommended Samsung to friends and families but will no longer be doing so if they are unwilling to honor their warranties.

It's been less than a year and I am already replacing the device due to an inaccuracy of the monitor. Now I need to ship it in to get a referb replacement. There aren't a lot of apps. They need to make an EKG app like the apple watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Service i have been a loyal samsung customer for well over 10 years despite my husband and other family members trying to get me to switch to apple. i received this for mothers day (may 10). on june 13th it quit working while i was rinsing dishes and loading the dishwasher. sent it to samsung for repairs and they want me to pay for the repairs because of liquid damage. the repairs cost more than the watch itself. this is supposed to be water resistant. i was on the phone with them for hours and transferred multiple times and no one could/would waive the fees. if i cannot wear this while loading a dishwasher, how is it supposed to be worn while swimming?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not As Waterproof As You Think My girlfreind bought this for me for my birthday in July, 2019, and I absolutely loved it. I hardly ever took it off. It adveritizes that there is a swimming feature, so I assumed it was waterproof. I took it with me in the shower, whenever I would swim in the lake, and when I would go to the pool. One day, after swimming, the LCD screen just wouldn't turn on, even though the watch would still connect to my phone. After many hours of trying to explain my problem to Samsung representatives, I finally got it sent back for repair. I figured it was still under warrenty because it was purchased three months ago. But today I found out that the warrenty does not cover WATER DAMAGE which is apparently what happened to the watch. Even though the watch is supposed to be waterproof, water damage is not covered in the warrenty. Now I got a nice $145 repair bill, and the total of the watch is $200?? I might as well buy a whole new watch. Don't get me wrong, its a good watch, but be careful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faulty product i bought my samsung watch active on may 18 (delivered on may 26). i used it for two purposes: sleep tracking and workout tracking. i never wore it in the shower, for swimming (which it is advertised as being great for), or even dropped it in a puddle (or dropped it at all). a month after receiving the watch, it stopped working. the techs found liquid damage on the motherboard and lcd, voiding my warranty. the only water it has contacted is my sweat. any damage to the motherboard had to be a defect in the watch's construction/casing. this watch is rated water resistant up to 50 meters, so sweet should not be a problem. given that i got defective merchandise, i'll never trust samsung or their products again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it for steps, water aerobics, text message I have had this watch for about a month and I am really enjoying it and still learning how to use all the features - it's pretty easy to use - I just want to see what helps me the most. I have had no problems using it in water aerobics. I love being able to change the watch face and look forward to using 2 time zones when I travel. It's great to glance at texts instead of pulling your phone out. Also, the sleep tracker has been very interesting. Battery life is about a day for me. Sometimes I charge overnight and don't do the sleep tracking as that is more for fun than function. I recommend this watch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge Samsung fan - so disappointed by this watch I bought this watch a couple of weeks ago and am so disappointed by it. I have called twice due to issues with it, and it is still not tracking the mileage that I am cycling. I will be returning this. This feature worked initially. I called with a concern about the calorie tracker. The rep had me do a hard reset (which is something I could have done on my own). After that, the mileage never worked again. I called and they had me check a few settings and make sure location settings are on. But, cycled today and nothing. This is not the quality that I expect from Samsung. By the way Samsung - I would be happy to receive free samples for reviews. I bought this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blood Pressure Readings difficult i purchased this watch in order to be able to take my blood pressure when i wanted to. in order to do so you have to have the mybplab app and log into it each time. this app is used to enter you in a study of the effects on bp when stressed. i don't want to be part of a study. additionally, when taking my bp, it takes several, 4 minimum, to actually get a reading. since this does not do what i purchased it to do i am returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed Just purchased this watch. Love the looks and the size of the watch. However, I wanted a smart watch that would sync activity with my phone. This watch requires that I manually enter my sleep activity in the Samsung Health app on my phone. Does not seem to accurately record sleep activity. And this is a very important activity for me because I suffer from REM Sleep Behavior disorder. Don't like the rolling ads in the Samsung Health app. I'm going to try this watch for a few more days, but for now, not impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not what I had hoped for having first used biometric training devices in the early 1980s, and again more recently in the 2017-2019 range, i was aware that these devices are quite capable. however, the samsung device had a number of issues. 1) the display is very small 2) the predictability of the functions is not at all reliable. swiping left one time can lead to one screen; swiping left the next time can lead to an entirely different function/feature. 3) the display will sometimes freeze for just hours on end, in a font size that is unreadable (too large to fit on the display). this is not helpful or useful. i will still be looking for a wearable device, but this one is not it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's great... until you're sweating I was SUPER excited about this watch. I love all my Samsung gear and figured this watch would stand up to my expectations. It looks sleek, has lots of features, can be customized to your hearts' content, and it works perfectly... until I sweat. Now, I am not sure if it's my specific watch that has faulty sensors or the rose gold Active 1 that is faulty, but every time I work out and start to sweat, the activity tracker starts to stop, pause, and resume itself. As a result, I do not get even a remotely accurate depiction of my activity. I've tried changing wrists, changing the positioning of the watch (outside of wrist, inside of wrist, forearm, etc.) to see if that helped with the random glitches. I even tried to put "water tight mode" on, but no dice. I tried troubleshooting and my only options were mail it in for "repairs"(for an undetermined amount of time), drive 40 miles to a Best Buy or UBreakWeFix store, or deal with it. No option to send me a new one and send the old one back. I've never had this problem with any of my other fitness trackers and I am suddenly regretting not just getting another Fitbit. Bad form, Samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Watch, Especially for Samsung Users This is my first smartwatch and I love it. It's super comfortable, plus I get a lot of compliments on how it looks. I love that it has GPS for my runs as well as Spotify. I also use it for my workouts and for the most part get the diagnostics that I need. Once or twice something didn't record properly. I mainly love that the watch can sync with my phone though, which was really important to me. I can send my stats over to Samsung Health on my phone, and I can control my phone with the watch as well. I'm a fitness professional so being able to control my phone was necessary. It's also fun to text people from your watch. I feel like Inspector Gadget.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this watch! I always wanted to upgrade to a real smartwatch from a basic fitness tracker I had gotten for free a while back. So, when I had the option to get one with my S20 Ultra pre-order, I jumped at the chance! I'm really happy with it. The size is great for me at 40mm. I went with the rose gold option as I really like rose gold jewelry. It not only looks great but works great. I have no issues with it connecting to my phone or using it. I really like all the watch face options as well as all the apps I can use. I love how I can get notified from the apps on my phone on my watch. I have A LOT of trouble sleeping and being able to track my sleep is a great thing. The fitness options are great too. I love how customizable it is. I'm still getting the hang of it but I'm very happy with it so far!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch this watch is pretty cool. its pretty easy to navigate, its lightweight, and it looks good on your wrist. having offline spotify is something i've always wanted in a watch, so finding it in this watch was a plus. i'm a runner and so using strava on this watch while being able to listen to music is pretty cool. it helps a lot with training because it comes with a built in heart rate monitor. not to mention it has a built in gps so there's no need to carry a phone with you if you're also an athlete. all in all this watch is great and has a bunch of cool features. p.s. the battery live isnt half bad as long as you dont switch it on and off every 5 seconds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought this watch December 2019 as a gift. Unfortunately, it has met the same fate of other Galaxy Watch Actives. The cover on the back of the watch for the sensor falls off and then the watch completely stops working. Clearly this is a problem as I've seen countless negative reviews and Samsung has yet to address this issue,it's simply poor construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Watch i purchased my watch 3 months ago. i loved it at first but it started to die on my within 24 hours. i sent the watch bag for repairs and i received a notice the warranty was void. it was void due to liquid damage. interesting i thought this watch was water resistant. wore the watch in the shower and maybe once in the pool. never was submerged any longer than my fitbit that still works. samsung told me that they would repair it for $220. wow more than i can get a new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of tracking and notifications this is the first smartwatch that i have purchased. i wanted a watch that not only tracked fitness but was versatile with other functions, such as notifications. after reviewing other manufactures, including samsung, i felt that this watch gave me the best of what i wanted in a smart watch. as advertised it is durable, made of aluminum instead of plastic. the crystal is glass and scratch resistant, although i plan on purchasing a screen protector as added protection. set up with samsung phone and samsung wearable app was quick.. my only concern is the battery life at up to three days. i have found that turning off the watch at bedtime gives a little more battery life. overall i am satisfied with this watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery shortage i recently ordered the galaxy watch to help monitor my heart rate but was unable to do so because the battery would not even last four hours. i ordered the watch brand new and had the battery die on me several times with minimal usage time of the watch throughout the week that i had it. battery life was not good at all, quite horrible!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No standalone gps i bought the watch so i can leave my phone home and only bring the watch to track when i go for a run. on the website it looked like loads of people going for a run while wearing the watch, and it also says that the watch has gps, perfect! however everytime i used it, the run was not tracked and my location could not be found. so i checked the website and everywhere it says that it has gps on the watch, which i found weird. so i went to the support store, where everyone was super helpful, and they told me everything worked on the watch. so i called the samsung care, and they told me that the watch does not have a stand alone gps, but you need to bring your phone for a run when you want your run tracked.. so my question, is then the watch not totally unnecessary?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Products are littered with software problems my wife and i use to love samsung products. we have their smartwatches, laptops, phones, and galaxy buds. both our watches have constantly been disconnecting which rapidly drains the battery. this often happens at night, so you wake up to a dead watch. this means the sleep apps are worthless since you have to now leave it on the charger to avoid it disconnecting. it also disconnects during the day. these software problems are annoying considering how much these products costs. do better samsung! these software problems will not go away anytime soon, simply search online for "samsung smartwatch disconnect battery drain" and you will see this problem has persisted for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used to be very good but now lackluster i've used this watch for months to track my walking/running and swimming. at first, it was terrible at tracking swim laps but that seems to have improved, though it still sometimes ends a lap in the middle of me swimming one. now, however, the feature i use the most (tracking my walking and running) is completely unreliable. it reports that it loses my heart rate about 5 minutes after i start every time i use it, and it picks it up somewhere around 5 minutes before i finish, no matter how far i've walked or ran, and reports my heart rate around 220 bpm for 5 to 10 minutes (that's a medical emergency). i've been thinking about upgrading to the active 2 or whatever the newest model is, but now i'm thinking maybe just steer clear of samsung "smart" watches for fitness tracking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inaccurate for a running watch the watch has had several glitches. im using it primarily as a running watch. it does not provide an accurate pace/minute in real time. its all over the board which makes it tough to use as a training device. its a comfotable watch and it looks nice. probably ok if youre looking for a fitness tracker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No one at Samsung ever reads these reviews! i have the same issues as many others. very poor batter life (12 hrs. max) steps, stairs not even close in accuracy. sleep tracking works sometime, sometime not. pulse, stress are about theonly things that work. batter is now completely dead and will no longer charge. costs $70 to replace it. absolutely not worth it! i'm tired of samsung products and have been a loyal customer for many years, no more. i might as well buy cheap crap for less money that will last just as long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not accurate at all i used to like samsung watches but the last two i've had were/are awful. i bought the galaxy active when my fitbit died and it's been nothing but trouble. the first day it tracked everything well. the second day i ran 2 miles on a track and it said i ran 5 miles in the same amount of time. it does this every time i run now (my favorite recording being when i ran 1 mile in 2 minutes!) it also doesn't accurately record my stair/floors. i climbed up 52 flights of stairs but the watch only recorded 7. i do not wear this watch in the rain/water so i know that isn't the problem. i've had this watch for 5 months now but i've only worn it for a few weeks because of how terrible it is. i will definitely not be buying another samsung watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice connectivity, terrible battery life coming from a fitbit, the active is much more "watch" looking and has more connectivity features to access my phone with. from controlling my music playback to the customized text replies, the ability to dismiss alarms from the device and the "do not disturb" syncing, i'm finding i really enjoy using the active. i did replace the silicone band with a metal link band and added a bumper guard cover, but it's still a good size for my wrist. unfortunately, the battery life is dismal. being used to 6-7 days on my fitbit charge 3, i'm lucky if i get two full days per charge on the active. i also wish i could access some of the data (like sleep data) through the galaxy wearables ap on my phone. it'd be nice to see my trends on a larger screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice watch but HORRIBLE battery I own a number of Samsung devices--I really do like their products--so I pre-ordered this watch. The interface, size clarity and usefulness are renarkable. Information is clearly displayed and fairly easy to find. That being saud, I am not able to wear it for more than 22 hours witout low battery warning and it takes almost two hours to fully recharge. That is terrible for a watch. I shut down most of the desired actions to get that. I had initially set it the way I wanted it, but it only lasted for 16 hours. Until a much improved battery is installed, I cannot recommend this watch to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from How do we move backwards?!? I just got the watch yesterday. Didn't realize their was no sound, which means no phone calls, no high alerts. Mind you I have the s3 series watch so I was thinking it would be like that but smaller, made for women. Which watch does all the functions but made for a womans wrist. None that I am aware of. Common guys. This watch is beautiful and almost to the t the same as the s3 but no speaker. I would reccomend it to someone who was using it for lightweight watch that uses buds constantly but other than that no.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So lightweight! As a small woman with even smaller wrists, the Galaxy Watch Active is exactly what I have been looking for in a smart watch. I have had a Gear 2 Neo, Gear S2, Galaxy Watch 42mm and now this 40mm Galaxy Watch Active and I have to say that each generation of watch has improved but this version is the best for me so far. The material of the new and improved band is soft and smooth, it does not irritate my skin at all even when I get sweaty. The new band also comes with an updated securing method for the strap, it is now a slot where you can slip the remaining strap under the band which keeps it more secure and prevents it from getting caught on things. The watch itself is so lightweight, I hardly realize I am wearing it. I have worn this watch for 3 days straight day and night only taking it off to shower and charge it and I have not been irritated by it at all which is not something I can say about other smart watch models I have owned before. The glass back of the watch sits smooth against my wrist and does not dig in to my skin. The newer One UI features are a big plus as well. Sleep mode allows me to wear the watch at night without accidentally triggering the screen to come on by turning off the wake up features and putting the watch in "Do not disturb" mode. The always on heart rate tracking allows me to keep on eye on my heart rate and will alert me if it goes over 120 or whatever I set it at, it also allows me to track the levels of my sleep more in depth than before. I love that I can now tap the screen to wake up the watch too. Coming from a device that has the rotating bezel I have had to re-train my brain to use only touch but the interface on the watch makes using touch easier than I thought it would be without the bezel. The display is bright and brilliant even in full sun. I have also become an adopter of Bixby with this watch, having never used it before and I am pretty happy with its responsiveness and ability to determine what I want. I went with this watch over the "full size" version the Galaxy Watch because of my small wrists and thought I may be missing out on something, but for an average user who mostly wants to track my health this watch has exceeded my needs and expectations. Rated 5 out of 5 by from No battery life, inaccurate activity monitor I bought this watch a month ago and having been using it daily- it requires a charge nearly every day with what I perceive as light use - 40 min of exercise, no other app use other than reading notifications, the heart rate/sleep/stress monitor is turned off and I only listen to music during exercise. I walk, run and bike - nothing too extreme. The distance is wildly off, calculating 1 mile of running at an actual 1.5 miles. The step count feature is also inaccurate but at least consistent in under counting my activity. It does play Spotify and the ability to download lists is a nice feature, but not one exclusive to this watch. It is smaller and sleek which I appreciate. If you are looking for a simple smart watch this may be for you, but if you intend to use it as an activity tracker I would advise you look else where.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I've ever wanted Firstly, many of the bad reviews are from people who clearly did not read all the specs before buying. This watch does everything its advertised to do. The watch band itself is very comfy, and I often forget I am wearing it. As a women with smaller wrists, the face size is perfect. I am so happy to finally have a smart watch that is sized for smaller people. I love all the features, (heart rate monitor is a bit off from time to time, but hey, most are so no complaints there. I'm sure it'll improve with time). Honestly, I have nothing bad to say at all. I've used it just shy of a month now and I've never been happier with a smart watch. Make sure to read all the specs before buying. There are certain aspects (such as lack of speaker) that can be deal breakers for many. But as a standard smart watch, for those geared towards health data, this knocks it out of the park

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Smartwatch Steps Above The Rest Samsung’s smartwatches are well known to be at the top of the smartwatches list and after owning three different smartwatches by Samsung I am always left impressed by the sheer volume of features. There is a little less than 2 days worth of battery life. With a few adjustments on the screen brightness, always on display and notifications -- battery life can really be extended beyond the 2 days. And I would say I’m a typical user. There were a few times I frantically checked the watch because I couldn’t remember the last time I charged it and to my surprise there was at least another 6 hours left. But the best part about battery life, which I loved with my last two Samsung watches, is to charge the watch wirelessly on the charging cradle. And get this if you have an S10 you can charge your watch on the back casing of the phone. Whether you’re a fitness beginner or an avid health nut -- you will find the features you need to track your fitness journey in a way that meets your needs. The watch is equip with some pretty cool features: a step counter, automatic exercise detection, breathing exercises, sleep pattern analyser, interactive mediation and calorie burner. The watch faces are also interchangeable -- there are free and paid faces available depending on your style and the info you want on the main screen (i.e. step counter, weather, heart rate). The watch is available in Black, Silver, Dark Teal and Rose Gold. It’s also equip with gorilla glass face which is some of the strongest material available for a watch face. It’s even used on the Samsung phones -- so it’s super durable and scratch resistant. The watch bands is made from a soft silicone and can withstand Pros --Battery life is very good (with adjustments) and the watch charges fast. --Very lightweight design and comfortable for wear all day. --The design is classic but stylish -- rose gold for the win! --Water/sweat resistance. --Watch bands are interchangeable. Cons --Keeping watch on overnight to track sleep pattern kills the battery. --Step counter isn’t always completely accurate --No speakers on the watch. --Watch band gets dirty fast from normal wear. BIG THUMBS UP! The Galaxy Watch Active is a very comfortable watch and you don’t have to be an extreme active person to benefit from all the features of this watch. The battery life is the best I’ve seen in a smartwatch. I am pleased with my watch and I am looking forward to learning more about all the features. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the size of the watch! I have absolutely loved my Gear 2 but right from the beginning I thought it was huge for my little wrist though I did get used to it and did wear it everyday. But when i received this one I was in awe at how its the perfect size for a woman's wrist. What a difference but is just as perfect as my Gear. So far I have found it to be just as reliable as my other watch though the battery life is better on the new one. The picture quality is amazing and much better than the Gear was. I like to have a picture of my girls as my face watch and the picture is crystal clear. Texting is easy as always especially when you use the voice to text feature. You really have no reason to get your phone out at all. Overall, I am loving the new watch...I use it everyday for work as I am a PE teacher and am always on the move the watch allows me to get notifications, important emails and alarms that I may need throughout the day without having to have my phone out in class. The one thing that I don't like about it but is not a deal breaker is that the charging station is now flat instead of side ways and I'm not loving that at all. It has some functions that it shares with my phone, but it doesn't share all of them. It does fulfill the purpose for which I bought it for. It tracks my sleep well and my heart rate as well. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice watch, missing key feature I pre-ordered this watch when I read several articles online which highlighted the blood pressure reading feature that made this watch unique. Surprisingly, that feature, that I waiting for, is still not available to me. Some users report being able to use software on some specific Smasung phone models to read BP, but Samsung did not indicate when I ordered the watch that it would not work with my phone. For fitness and sleep tracking, for decent battery life, and for a light, comfortable watch with basic features and style, this watch is okay, but not what I was promised. Yet?

However, I pre-ordered this watch thinking I was able to answer calls AND be able to talk with it (not having to pull out my phone from my backpack when biking or in similar situations). This definitely is a deal breaker for me...Has a microphone but NO speaker which means you can't answer phone calls and talk into the watch if your phone isn't on you i.e. in your pocket when your hands are occupied or in your backpack. I was really excited too...Will be returning!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Watch I really like this watch! I have been waiting for a while for Samsung to make a watch that would look awesome on a woman's wrist. It is lightweight, and the strap feels soft and subtle. I bought the rose gold and it just looks beautiful and the screen is AWESOME! I love the fact that it tracks your minutes, hours, calories and more. You can even add more shortcuts such as running, heart rate, stress, etc. It gives you notifications of your email, text, and more. There is an app section where you can see all the apps that are already installed. You can go to the galaxy store and download more apps if you chose to do so. This watch allows you to add more watch faces too. You can also sleep with it on, so that it can monitor your sleep pattern. I like the fact that it can tell you what your blood pressure and blood glucose level is. You can also set the watch to “always stay on”. It does not look big on my wrist even though it is 40mm. The roundness of the watch makes it look smaller than the Fitbit Versa watch I had. It has a weather, and calendar widget. I also added a calculator. You can add more widgets. The battery was at 66% at about 6 pm in the evening when I got home. So, I am guessing that it will last for two days. This watch has so many options, features and many add-ons. Unbelievable!!

Not sure why people have complained about the battery... just have to shut off the gesture screen wake feature and the battery lasts almost two days. I charged it this morning at 6 am used it throughout the day and I have 76% left at 7:30pm... only thing I'm not sure about is the

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice watch but still have rooms for improvements Nice watch but still have rooms for improvements (Submitting this review requires this? "Please disable any ad blockers, which can prevent successful review submission." Please fix it if you want more reviews.) Screen & UI: I had a Gear Sport and I don't find I missed the rotating bezel since I've been using this watch; however, it would have been even better if screen is larger and hope the next version will have the 42mm option. The UI designs and fluidity are much better than Misfit Vapor and Garmin Vivoactive, not to mention the latter has very limited support of displaying non-English characters. Battery Life: It's 1 day with Wi-Fi connection turned off. More battery usage can be used during sleep when I enabled goodnight, airplane and powersaving modes. The wireless charger works fine as long as I keep an eye on properly placing the watch in the right spot when I can see that the indicator LED lights up. I like it having a built-in fan to avoid overheating the watch/phone while charging. Watch Band: I've no complaiint as I'm not using the original watch band.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really convenient Had it for about a month now and it make life at work easier. I can check my watch if the email received is work related, I can change my music on my bluetooth, prioritize my texts, answer calls from it, etc...I am able to leave my phone on my desk and walk away...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I was very excited to receive and try out the Galaxy Watch Active. I don't normally wear watches but with all of the functions I find myself making sure that I always have it on. I like that I have the ability to customize the home screen and I chose one that includes time, date, battery %, steps, and weather. Even with all of this information showing on a little screen it does not feel cluttered to me and is easy to read. You can select and rearrange what you would like on each screen as you swipe to the left. You would scroll right to see notifications and at the end have the ability to clear them all. I have found that the watch is pretty easy to use. I am still going through all of the functions. My phone is always on silent due to work so this watch comes in especially handy when I am getting a text or phone call that I wouldn't want to miss otherwise. My most used functions would be the calendar, sleep tracker, and weather. I find it very convenient to have them just a swipe away. I would say a con about the sleep tracker is that I don't find it to be completely accurate as far as how long I've been sleeping. For instance, I went to sleep around midnight and it said I had been sleeping since 9:30pm. I was laying in bed from that time but I was not sleeping and also had gotten up once. It does seem accurate for the most part though. I like the activity tracker which shows your workout, calories burned and how often you move hourly. There is a chart you can look at and see how you've done throughout the week and compare your progress. The battery usually lasts about 2 days for me before I put it on the charger. The charger is simple and you just have to lay the watch on top of it to charge. I believe it is magnetized or something of the sort as I have to give my watch a little pull to remove it. I like that you don't have to plug it in. Another plus is the band sizing. I have very small wrists and love the fact that I can put this on and still have 3 notches left to go smaller. I usually will have to buy another band or make my own notches in order for it to fit. I was pleasantly surprised. Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed this watch thus far and would recommend it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small and cute! I bought this as soon as it came out and loved it! Easy to work with and changing the watchfaces. But my only issue is that for some reason the touch screen stopped working, so I cannot change or add anything and especially when I work out nothing I cannot even connect on my phone because I have to turn on the blietooth from my watch and well my touch screen for some reason does not work and I never had an issue with Samsung products til now

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get yours now, you won't regret it! I have been smart watch shopping for years, however never found one that met all my criteria. This is it! Amazingly lightweight, waterproof, super long lasting battery, not over powering or bulky on my wrist, and so much more! Works with all smart phones, however ours are Samsung. My husband has a Samsung Galzxy s5 Mini & I have a Samsung Galaxy S9. I first thought of the Galaxy Watch Active as a smart watch for youth & females, but men love them too! After trying out mine, my husband is getting himself one too. This watch has so many bells and whistles packed into a nice small package. I'm sure there's still more to learn and try with it! The battery lasts me up to 3 full days depending on my uses & settings. I love how versatile the watch face settings, the bands, and the apps are! My absolute only regret is that I didn't buy this when it was first released, so I could have benefitedfrom it sooner :) I'm relieved I didn't buy any other smart watch! Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Comfortable! Compared to my Apple Watch, I absolutely adore how comfortable the watch feels. It's so lightweight that you can literally forget you are even wearing it! It's definitely good for tracking sleep and picking up on workouts. I just adore the sleek deign and slim body of this watch. It's absolutely prefect for those that are very active (lol). I love how it has a nice premium feel and having an inexpensive price tag. This watch is something I see myself picking up more than my Apple Watch for workouts!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing watch! The Samsung Active Watch is an amazing alternative to the larger, more robust Galaxy Watches that feature the rotating bezel. This bare-bone touch watch gets everything done just as well, for less. Hit-for-hit, this product stands up to features on the Apple iWatch as well, featuring advanced workout modes, lightweight and compact design, and wireless charging. Returning text messages on this watch is a breeze, and the touch screen is extremely accurate and responsive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good watch but BP was a promise to not kept Like many, my purchase was based on blood pressure monitoring advertised at release. I'd been quite loyal to my previous wearable fitness tracker, I had no intention of switching to samsung until I saw the promos for the newly released active. I made purchase knowing update/app was pending. I do manually check my blood pressure (I take meds for high bp). I was hoping to have at least a general sense between measurements how I was doing. It was disappointing to see new feature was a "study" and not even compatible with my rather recent note 8 phone. I had every intention of returning, but found mysf growing attached to my new watch, I like the fitness tracking and prefer its focus on active minutes and avoiding sedentary behavior. I have been more motivated to work out, which is a plus. I also like the reliable connection to my phone and music playback - previous tracker often missed notifications or incoming calls for no apparent reason. Would really like to see a podcast app and am still hoping... I'm still sad to leave all my previous fitness info behind along with my step counting friends - but do enjoy the experience of this watch and would recommend (with eyes wide open not to expect bp) given the quality and lower pricepoint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New to me My husband purchased this for me a little over a week ago. The battery life is not the greatest and the actual face of the watch is very fragile. I was at work (I am a nurse) and bumped the face on the side rail of the patient's bed and it cracked. I sent it in to be repaired hopefully it wont be an arm and a leg to fix since its not under the warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Women I have had my watch about a week now, it is a great alternative for Fitbit. Great features for workouts and sleep monitoring, very slick, not bulky at all perfect if you have a small wrist like me. Set up was super easy. The only thing is I wish the battery lasted longer. I wear it for about 15 hours a day and it would be at 40% by the time I get home from work. I charge it literally everyday. Other than the battery it is a nice little watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable to Wear, Great Battery Life I wore the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active for a week before reviewing. Its band fits my little wrist so much better than the Gear S2 and S3 did and I’ve already accidentally banged the watch face against something a couple of times, but no scratches! - The PROS: -battery life is very good, especially compared to previous Galaxy Watch versions I own -band fits comfortably and watch doesn’t feel heavy on the wrist -setup was very easy (for both my Samsung and non-Samsung phones) -watch face is durable and scratch-resistant -even non-Samsung phone users can use the Galaxy Watch (but without some features) -exercise detection and meditation features -held up in the shower The CONS: -watch doesn’t have audible alerts, only vibrates -watch doesn’t have speakers so earphones are a necessity -step counter is slightly off sometimes, mainly when not paired with a Samsung phone -doesn’t have the classic rotating bevel which without it navigation can be a tad clumsy -it doesn’t support Gmail or Google Maps -Bixby is still operating on a sub-par level Final thought: It’s attractive in a classic way and is a comfortable wear. The battery life lasted 53 hours before needing charging when paired with my non-Samsung phone and 49 hours with my Samsung phone, but that was without using GPS on either. The sleep tracker is much more intuitive than the Apple Watch's. Pairing it with a Samsung phone provides the richest app and fullest feature experience. Overall, it’s a great watch for fitness and health tracking for the fit nut or the beginner. And the price is decent, too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not the Fitness Watch for Me All in all, not a fitness watch for me. After wearing this watch for two weeks straight I have found quite a few things I am not a fan of, on the other hand there a few nice pros that a lot of people will enjoy. For me, my main goal with using a fitness watch is for calorie burn, not steps. This watch is much more geared for those who are looking to achieve step goals or do major tracking of their workouts. I found that it did not track calories well when doing cardio workouts like Zumba but, on the flip side, it is very accurate with bike riding, lifting, walking my dog and hiking it did great in both calorie counting and in really cool GPS, and lap timing A few cool pros with this watch are that it is pretty light weight, it has a ton of apps and connectivity ability on it and it has so many really nice interchangeable watch bands for it. The GPS is really quite amazing and shows you right on your watch when you are done your workout what your path looks like, where you can then screen shot it on your watch, which is pretty interesting, and you can upload it onto the app. The connectivity with this watch is nearly seamless when it comes to hooking it up to WiFi and Bluetooth and consistently alerts you of texts, calls, appointments and any other notification you can get on your phone, you can get on your watch along with drawing responses to your texts too! On the other hand if you don’t want to be as connected to your phone with notifications it is tough to turn off these settings all the way. I also found that with all of the connectivity turned on the watches battery does not last very long at all, but with most of it turned off, it lasts a couple of days. Overall, I would prefer to use a different brand of fitness watch that tailors to my preferred method of weightless and tracking and works seamlessly with apps that I already use. I did really like its round watch face though! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Smartwatch I received the Galaxy Active 40mm in rose gold and love it. I've used other smartwatches and now I know what I was missing. I really like the petite style that goes from the gym to a night out seamlessly. The smaller band fit me just right and is not too snug. I've been wearing it for a few weeks now and have become very comfortable with the smart features on Galaxy Active watch. I really like all the different customizable screens that fit what is right for me and am not stuck with what order other smartwatches force you to have. With fifteen different screens available on top of your home and notification screen there are endless choices to fit every lifestyle. The Galaxy Active synced perfectly with my Samsung Note8 phone and keeps a great connection. I get all my notifications from my phone right on the watch and can choose what and if things are important enough to look at when I am a little to busy to grab my phone. Answering peoples texts from the watch has to be one of the best features. Workouts have become even better. From a zumba class at the gym to a 5 mile jog each one of my exercises are recorded with the heart rate sensor accurately logging my calories burned. I have noticed that I am getting more out of my workout than previously. Watch faces are endless and I have already ordered different band colors to change with my outfits. Battery life is okay for me, I do spend about 3-4 hours at the gym in the morning and it lasts till the evening but I do have to charge it about every night in order to make it through my gym time the next day. But on the weekends when I don't workout it lasts the entire two days. I don't mind since I now cannot imagine going without my new smartwatch. Having Samsung Smartthings integrated into the watch has been awesome. I can turn on my TV and start my powerbot with the watch, pretty great. Completely happy with the Galaxy Active Smartwatch. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a ladies watch!!!! I absolutely LOVE this watch!! I Pre- ordered it & have worn it for almost 2 weeks now! Not only is it beautiful (I have the rose gold one) it is small & light on my wrist I hardly know it's there! I had the ginormous Gear 3 Fronteir that just looked ridiculous on my tiny wrist, while I thoroughly enjoyed all of its features it was just not lady like! This new watch is so lovely with all the same features yet somehow seem even more dialed in and accurate than the Fronteir! I charge mine everyday but that's just me never wanting to be stranded without it. I'm so very happy I made this purchase and am grateful that it's not only beautiful but was affordable as well!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Samsung!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No SPEAKERPHONE ??!! Let me give you a little background. I bought a fit bit versa and took it back while waiting for this to come out. I contacted Samsung even called and was told this watch had a speaker phone and a microphone. So I was super super excited patiently waiting for it to come out. I get the watch only to find out you cannot speak on it?? Why in the world would Samsung finally come out with something comparable in size and feel to an Apple watch and not include a speaker phone?? I'd even pay more for this feature. So back to the store I went to see if maybe I would want the galaxy watch instead since you can speak on it. Ughhhhhh the galaxy is bigger heavier and doesn't feel as comfortable as the active. Why why why would they finally bring out something light and smaller for women and not be able to speak on it even with just bluetooth??? I'm even now thinking of just purchasing a iphone and a watch now but I love my Samsung note.... So so disappointed!! :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buggy run tracking The stats for the run tracking w/the Samsung Watch are completely inconsistent with each other. Here's one example: One outdoor run showed splits of 9'51" and 8'53" yet my avg showed 9'56", higher than both individual miles. Furthermore, the graph showing my avg speed appears to show an avg pace of about 4mph while the avg speed based on the dist/time is about 6mph. All runs have shown similar discrepancies. Also, the watch consistently shows several mph slower than all treadmills I've used. If tracking accuracy and consistency improves, I'll upgrade rating to 5 stars, but seeing as how this is the primary purpose of my buying the watch, I cannot give it higher than 2 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty decent watch I like this watch, I upgraded from the gear fit 2 so it was a decent step up! It's comfortable, stylish, easy to use, and pretty functional. There are a few problems though. Mostly battery life... I've had it for about 2 weeks and I just feel like the battery life has dwindled quite a bit from the first charge... it started out with being 3 days with most features active to now about 2 and a half days before having to put it on power saving mode to get it to that 3rd day. Which doesn't sound like much but mind you this is within a week. Another thing is the exersice sensing doesn't really track that well, cycling doesn't work for stationary bikes, rowing doesn't track that well and steps are slightly more accurate than my old gear fit 2. Over all though I'm really happy about this watch i just think there needs to be software updates to hopefully fix battery problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy wearing tracker This watch was purchased for fitness tracking purposes. I was previously using a competitor's version of this watch but was unhappy with the limited functions. This watch is very light in fact I barely notice that I'm wearing it most of the time period it has a nice round shape with curved edges so it feels very natural to use the device. I like the widget options as a currently own a Samsung phone so they pair beautifully and haven't had Any issues connecting be a Bluetooth. One thing is I want to constantly be tracking my steps but I also wanna know what time it is so unless I change the face option for time I have to Decipher standard time or scroll through to widgets. This is not a huge deal but a slight inconvenience when you're on the go and want to take a quick glance at your watch. I find that I have to charge it every other day Which is about average for this kind of technology. I do wish the battery life was longer for the convenience factor. Also at this price point I expect to have multiple wrist band options Which were not included. As far as the Tech component to this watch I am extremely satisfied as it does everything promised and more. I do wish that there were more add ons that came standard and did not cost extra. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A step up from fit pro 2 I have had this watch for a few weeks. I upgraded from the gear fit pro 2 and I am glad I did. The display is beautiful and I like that i can compose texts from my watch or even use voice to text. It is very easy to use. My only complaint is the heart rate monitor doesn't properly measure while exercising sometimes. The gear fit pro 2 also had this problem. I am guessing it has trouble reading while I am moving or from perspiration blocking the sensor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value and quality I bought this for my wife, she loves it. It seems pretty user freindly, as I have not had to fuss with syncing, or adjusting it for her:). The only negative is some wasted, excessive bezel space, and slightly short battery life. Still, it can get 36 hrs, and it's round! Now, how to flatten it AND increase battery life...!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features, bad support If you are buying this for the blood pressure monitoring, be aware that it is currently only supported if you have a S9/S10/S10+/Note 9 phone. You can't even install the app on the WATCH if you don't have one of those newer phones. Samsung has not stated yet if this issue will be addressed or if it is even being investigated. For one of the main advertised features, this is not acceptable. Beyond that, the watch is sleek and fits well. I do miss the variety of apps that my old Android Wear watch had, but this one is much more responsive and has a great battery life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatness in a small package. I really wish people leaving reviews would base their reviews on what the product is designed for and its category, not what they wish for or is missing from the device. Samsung currently has the Galaxy Watch line that is full featured and allows users the full smart phone experience. The Active line is designed for those that want to focus on a lightweight watch with a modern design, stunning Amoled display, beautiful watch faces, superb activity tracking, sleep tracking, custom widgets and an overall better experience than most fitness bands give the user. The Active excels in all of these areas. If I could make one suggestion to improve the Active, I would like to see the bezel reduced and a slightly larger display while keeping the same form factor. Most people that I know really don't want to receive phone calls or texts on their watch. I know that I don't. The Active has quite a bit going for it; it may be right for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not have the promised features. Watch looks great, feels light, and tracks everything well. But the only reason I bought it was to keep track of my blood pressure. But I have a Galaxy note 8 and I have not been able to get the app for the blood pressure monitoring. Also the battery is no where near as advertised, I get 24 hours max unless I go into super save mode. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Features with room for improvement I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion. I really want to love this watch. I like it a lot, but there are a few things that I was expecting, but did not find. First the good- It is sleek and very stylish. It works well for basic notifications and all the activity trackers that I love. After playing with the settings, I was able to make it operate how I wanted it to (turning on when I turn my wrist towards my face, etc). I have not had a chance to swim with it yet, but the fact that it is waterproof was a HUGE bonus. I also love that the face has a specific setting for being in the water so you don't get accidental swipes. Now the less than exceptional side. I really wish this watch used the google assistant. That feature would have made this watch that much better. The biggest negative for me, and the reason I only rated it 4 stars is that you cannot answer calls from the watch. It rings on the watch, but tells you to go to your phone. If I'm busy and my phone is in my purse in another room, I would prefer to not have to go dig it out to answer it. I know this feature exists on other smart watches, and am bummed that Samsung did not include it on the Galaxy Active Watch. Overall, the device is decent. It is sleek, does some things well, and does some things great. I just feel that there could be more. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Low battery life I love this watch. I had the Fitbit before and really liked it. But after 3 years the battery started to not keep its charge for very long. I thought of replacing it again with a Fibit until I saw the new Samsung Watch. I have a Samsung Tablet and a Samsung Note 9 so they could all sync. However only one problem. The battery is not holding the charge vey long. Maybe a day if I am lucky. If I put it in Power saving mode, it will give me a few more hours. So sad about one of the most important parts of the watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Watch Design I really like the design of the Galaxy Watch Active. I know that many people do not like it because it does not have a speaker, but I like that it does not have one. The design can fit my wrist way better than the S3 Frontier that I had previously. The only thing that gets me from giving it a five was the covering of the rubber from the band is already peeling off. I am not sure if that is normal but it does not seem like it. Not sure if I just got a faulty watch band, but it only lasted me a week and is already peeling from multiple spots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good so far. I purchased this after I had the Gear Sport watch for about a year before the back became unglued and fell victim to water damage. Purchased this one as a replacement and I like the watch so far. Size is fine but I did prefer the larger size of the Gear Sport. The smaller size is starting to grow on me. The only downside to the watch in my opinion is the lack of the spining bezel for scrolling. That to me was a great feature that I wish they could have fit into this watch but the size and price probably wouldn't allow it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Watch Can Do it All This watch really does it all! As a Samsung user, this watch was seamless to use. I loved how easily it connected to my phone; any phone calls, Facebook notifications, emails, and text messages come through immediately. I love the message by writing on the surface of the watch feature. I love the find my phone feature; I have used this several times since I began the trial. It even works when my phone is silenced or on vibrate. This is a very useful tool. The rose gold face is beautiful. My favorite feature of the Galaxy Watch Active is the tracking capabilities. I love that it tracks my heart rate and sleep. I like that it reminds me to get active when I've been sedentary for too long. The sleep information has been helpful in learning about my sleep patterns and my sleep needs. I like the quick glance of my steps for the day. It is also encouraging to get the congratulatory messages about meeting my goals each day. It has become a personal challenge for me. I also love that I can customize the face. I have mine set to display the temperature, time, date, steps, and battery life. I also have my display in bright pink. I love that I can stream Spotify paired through my watch or independently with internet access. I am a little disappointed with the battery life. It doesn't last more than two days; most times I am lucky to make it a day and a half. I do have all of the sensors on, so I understand that my battery life is less than the average because of this. When I bought the watch, Samsung clame that future will be available, but now they deleted this statement from them official page. I see the watch dose not have heart presure sensor only for heart rate has.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems Great but.... This watch seems great. I am an andriod (samsung) fan however, their watches that you can use as a stand alone phone need works. I am not for the bulkiness of the watches they have. This watch would be great as a stand alone phone. I love Apple's watches because they aren't so traditional. I am not a watch wearing but if I was an Apple fan, I would definitely invest in the watch. I wish I could say the same for galaxy's watch. Please design a watch that is not so traditional as far as the face. Your first gen watches was that but need a little less weight to them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inconsistent. Horrible watchband. I was so excited to try this watch. I had been using another brand activity monitor and felt like I needed a upgrade. I was excited about the health aspect, blood pressure monitoring and pulse monitoring. #1 Disappointment... no blood pressure ability as of yet. #2 Disappontment.... the heart rate doesn't give you a decent chart. I was hoping for more in depth information. #3 Disappointment... inconsistent activity tracking. With my old tracker I almost always got my 10,000 steps in... this watch says I get less than half that. It also doesn't recognize my workout like it is supposed to "automatically", especially on a treadmill. Also, while walking, if you hold your hand steady or up to look at the watch, it doesn't count steps. I feel like my arm has to be swinging for it to register steps. #4 Disappointment.... the watch band is peeling. I've had the watch for 11 days now, and the watch band looks horrible. The battery life is about a day, and I rarely use my watch for anything extra (I rarely turn it on) so it is not only used for activity tracking and heart monitoring. This seems like quite a bit ess than advertised. I do like the look of the watch, and its comfortable enough for me to forget I'm wearing it. I had high hopes, but feel like I got a bunch of disappointment instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great smartwatch at a reasonable price! I have been using this watch for a couple of weeks now and have been very impressed. I own the LG Urbane and a couple of the Pebble watches. It took a little while to get use to the UI but now it is very intuitive. Size wise this is a sleek and lightweight watch that sits comfortably on my skinny wrist. Very responsive screen makes reading notifications a pleasure. The screen is smaller but still very legible even on a quick glance. I do use the health tracking features that appear to kick in as advertised but to date have not tested their accuracy. I miss some of my WearOs apps like Keep but have been able to adjust. I have paired this watch to a Galaxy S10+.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but not Great I have been wearing the Samsung Galaxy Active Watch for a couple of weeks now in replacement of a FitBit Versa. I feel that the Samsung watch is good but it's not great. The biggest con is that it just isn't that user friendly. Between utilizing the Samsung Health app on my phone and trying to get the Samsung Active watch to give me the same info as my Versa is frustrating and toontime consuming. The lack of instructions was overwhelming. The other con is definitely battery life. I was surprised at how often I have to charge the watch. But on the other hand the watch does have a lot of pros too. The watch itself feels more feminine and less fitness watch. I like the fact that I have more options vs. the Versa to respond to messages. I am happy with the Samsung Active and prefer it over my Versa. Is it my final purchase for a fitness tracker? No. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So happy! I had the Samsung Galaxy Watch, but I didn't really like it so I returned it. Even the smallest size was too bulky for my wrist. I didn't like either color it came in, but I got the black. I didn't like any of the watchfaces with it. It added too much money to my bill. When the Active came out, I was so excited! It comes in more colors; I chose silver because I mostly wear silver everyday. It looks good with everything, including most the watchfaces and interchangeable bands. The price really worked for me. It's awesome! I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good Have had it for about 3 weeks so far. Features have been great. Fitness tracking has been good. Receive texts and emails fine. Love ability to put into nighttime mode. Haven't yet figured out blood pressure which was a big selling feature so hopefully that gets resolved. Also battery life is a weakness. Not terrible but my Garmin fitness watch would easily last 5-7 days with similar form factor. Samsung generally lasts two days with moderate use but powering down at night. Can't really use for sleep tracking as battery won't make it fully through the next full day if I don't power down. Otherwise great looking watch with good fitness and email/texting function.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features and Connectability Having a Samsung phone is essential to utilize all the great features of this phone. I can seamlessly work with your phone to provide notifications and responses while notifying you will all your favorite apps. Some of my favorite features are the Daily Briefing and tracking when you workout. Battery life is not great and was quite the adjustment from my previous fitness tracker which only required charging every 2-3 days. This watch claims to get you over a day, but I have to find that true. I also don't love the fitness interface. The Samsung Health app is inefficient and difficult to navigate. They try to fit too much in there. I also prefer my previous watch for fitness tracking. It was just done cleaner. And if I stopped running, my watch would know - which is a great feature when you run with your dog. There are many widgets and customizable faces to help enhance your experience. Your alarm syncs to your phone so you can turn it off with your watch. I can't attest to the accuracy of the health data, but I appreciate that it's there and is an improvement over the Gear Fit 2 watch. I learn about new features everyday and appreciate the sleek look and lightweight face. It's not too heavy and doesn't get in the way with workouts. The battery life absolutely sucks really bad you can get a days wear out of though and charge at night. The features are nice but if you're wanting to use for exercise as I wanted to don't cause it doesn't calculate the actual steps correctly ,noticed its off compared to fit bit and the doesn't calculate actual exercise correctly especially during a Hitt workout. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Finally in love with a smart watch. I've gone through several different smart watches both Samsung and Android Wear and this is the first one I'm completely happy with. The size and fit is great. I like that it doesn't have huge chunky bezels, the smooth curved glass and casing are excellent. This thing is super sleek and looks very sharp but also super slim and light so it's great during your workouts (it's almost too pretty to take to the gym!). Tracking is good, I like the constant heart rate monitoring, the night mode that stops it from buzzing on my wrist while I am sleeping, the screen looks gorgeous. Longer battery life would make this even better but currently it's still pretty good. I get a little under two days but I just throw it on the charger when I get in the shower or for an hour before bed and it's never an issue. Notifications work great and even though it doesn't have dedicated apps for some of the more popular messaging services out there you can still respond right from the watch once you get a message. Honestly best watch I've had and for the money you can't beat it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Galaxy Watch Active is a healthy wearable This is the 7th Galaxy wearable I have warm made by Samsung and it is a good watch and good be great with a few changes. 1. bring back the bezel - I would have gladly paid another $25 - 50.00 for the bezel 2. a seamless integration with the Samsung Health App 3. the ability to view the Daily Health stats on the Health App 4. the ability to edit sleep more easily 5. longer battery life - I have a difficult time believing a smaller smartwatch cannot last for three days 6. faster charging 7. change the LED screen to electronic ink...? 8. weekly reports email 9. better reports within the app or launch a website view of all the data like Garmin, Withings, and Fitbit 10. the stairs & altitude data algorithms needs a ton of work. When the user goes hiking and pauses to snap a photo of a mountain range or take a drink of water the flights of stairs stops and data is lost The Pros 1. Now, the way the Galaxy Watch Active integrates and talks to the mobile data steps count & other data is great! When I first synchronized my Active device I already had 5,000 steps gathered/earned via smartphone detection. After the initial setup my watch data updated and it too showed 5,000 - awesome new feature! Not even the Galaxy Watch series from 2018 were able to do such a simple task. 2. the sleep data is nice and I feel the presentation has improved 3. the touch interface on the screen is great and the clarity of the found appears improved even though the stats read the same per website tech specs 4. the light-weight design is wonderful 5. the perfectly round bezel is a delight to wear & use 6. the heart-rate data seems more accurate the predecessors of 2018 7. so glad it remained waterproof 8. so glad you kept Samsung Pay 9. intuitively easy to use 10. synchronizes beautifully with the OnePlus 6 smartphones

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lil gizmo Got this to replace my old gear fit 2, I was concerned about the comfort of it since the fit 2 basically was invisible to me, but this is a comfortable lil gizmo that's a marked improvement over the fit2 in every regard. I had nothing to worry about. Recommend adding the option to have a different always on display from your normal display. Also get rid of these extra modes and make do not disturb cover everything. Battery could be better, but gives me no anxiety.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Galaxy Gadget I've been wearing my Samsung Galaxy Watch Active a couple of weeks ago and I love it! I also have a Galaxy phone and I love how they interact together Some of my favorite functions include the sleep tracker, the heartrate monitor, and the ability to see my calendar and the weather. But my favorite thing is being able to see my text messages and emails just by glancing at my watch. This is especially helpful in the workplace, where you don't want to be seen on your phone all the time. You can even use your watch to reply! I also LOVE that I can add pictures to the gallery. I have a daughter and love to show her off and this is even easier than getting out my phone or printed pictures. The watch is lightweight and unobtrusive so it's easy to wear all the time. I can be pretty clumsy, but there are no scratches or dings so it seems pretty durable as well. The only thing I dislike is the battery life. The battery lasts me about a day and a half, so I have to charge it almost nightly if I don't want to get the low battery warning. Overall, I'm very happy with the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active and have been taking every opportunity I have to show it off. I would definitely recommend this to fellow Galaxy lovers looking to upgrade their tech experience. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed I pre-ordered this watch mainly for the blood pressure feature. Only to find out that the feature will not work with my phone and that it is more of a study than a "feature". After having the watch for less than a month the watch face has 2 deep scratches during normal use, which is suppose to have military specs and is not covered under warranty. The step count does not work when pushing a shopping cart or stroller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Watch but scratches easily The size of the watch is absolutely perfect for my smaller wrists. I chose the "green" because every picture looked more blue. And I was right. The watch is a very dark aqua; it is a gorgeous color. For the lifespan of the watch, it generally lasts me about a day and a half before it reaches 15% and goes into power save mode. When I first turned on the watch, my Galaxy S10 immediately recognized it and started the pairing process. It was completely painless, taking only about 2 minutes to pair, sync, and start working. Since I was transitioning from another Samsung watch, the phone also automatically synced up my settings. From start to wear, it took about 6 minutes. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the charger that comes with the device. It's not very sturdy, so it has frequently fallen off my desk a few times. On the plus side, this device can use older style of Samsung watch chargers, a standard wireless charger, and can even be charged from my phone (Galaxy S10). All of these options charge the device perfectly. Using the device is simple. I was worried about the switch from a watch with a rotating bezel to one without, but the interface works smoothly without issue. The touch interface gets all of my button presses perfectly because of my smaller child-size fingers. I'm not sure how well it works for larger fingers. It comes preloaded with apps that monitor heart rate, activity, and can even let you input water intake. It connects perfectly with the Samsung Health app on the phone. Uploading new apps and watch faces was a breeze. There are two things that I don't like about this watch. One is my own fault and I should have researched it - the lack of speaker. With this watch, you cannot answer the phone directly from it. That was a feature that I used quite extensively prior, especially when doing an activity that used two hands. The other is a fault of the device itself. The screen scratches extremely easily. I've used it for less than a week and there are already noticeable scratches on it. My former Samsung watch is going on 3 years of usage without a single scratch. I highly recommend getting a screen protector on the watch before using it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just OK - Sent in for repair twice i'm writing this review based off the fact that i've now had to send the watch back two times within 6 months of owning it. the first issue was due to the fact that the battery wouldn't hold a charge. the second and most recent issue is that: 1. the blue tooth won't hold a connection to my headphones (i used three diff headphones) 2. the watch is super sluggish when playing music and then attempting to use the running app. 3. not only that, when the watch is playing music and i'm trying to use the running app, it closes the running app and goes back to the main screen. 4. battery life is still bad, i can't get more than 1.5 days out of it using it as nothing more than a watch. this is without even using any of the music or exercise apps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review after 1 year of using the watch In the beginning it was great. A week before the warranty ended, the GPS and heart rate monitor malfunctioned. I sent it in for repair and it came back even worse. I sent it in a second time and they sent the same one with a new GPS module. It worked great for 3 months and now its garbage. I am very active and the name of the watch should not be called "Active". If you want a long term watch, this is not the one for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Change, fit,and disconnection i previously owned a fitbit but when it suddenly stopped working within a year and a half of owning it. then having a not so nice time with customer service i decided it wasd time for a change. i purchased the active watch because of the sleek design and because i have a samsung phone. i find after wearing it for a 12hour shift the battery is significantly low and needs to be charged if i need it that next night for work. also you have to wear it too tight in order for it to read anything. i also get more notifications about being disconnected than anything. not what i expected but it will do for the need if it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very functional but poor build quality Happy with the functionality. Black watch scratches very easily. Within a week i had scratches. Don't buy blank unless you want to put a band on it which I ended up doing after multiple scratches. Steel would be safer bet since it will hide the scratches. Also I never received the free charging pad as part of pre-order offer. Ordered in March and still haven't received it as of Aug. Long time Samsung customer but not satisfied with this experience.

Right out of the box it didn't work....pedometer is terrible, doesn't register stairs climbed at all, the battery dies with in hours and takes hours to charge back up, will not stay connected with the health app. The smart watch part of it seemed to work great (minus the battery issues).....just a terrible fitness tracker. contacted customer service to deal with this issue, they were about ..clear cache, restart tracker, restart phone, factory reset watch...keeping in mind it is only 3 days old to begin with.....blah blah blah....after 3 days of this terrible customer service they still refused to do anything about the watch....oh wait, I could pay to have it shipped to them and would "try" to repair it. They refused to replace it with a new one. It is going back....beware if you buy this watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not an "active" watch This is not a fitness watch, the watch is a great smart watch but not good for fitness purposes. I have had the watch over 2 months and keep waiting for the update that will fix the accuracy of the calories burned during a workout. The watch does not properly calculate calories burned, it gives the exact same number every time no matter the intensity of the workout. I have used the weight machine and circuit training option and done extremely intense workouts and burned the exact amount of calories as if I were to chose the same workout option and do absolutely nothing, which means the watch is not taking the heart rate into consideration in calories burned making the number completely wrong which is a big problem for someone trying to create a calorie deficit. I would not recommend this if you are looking for a good fitness watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Active vs Fitbit Charge 3 I got this watch about a month ago and wanted to give my opinion and comparison. I like the size and design of the watch, with the color screen, better than the Charge 3 smaller and gray scale screen. I also like the additional widgets you can add, as well as how well it connects with my S10+, the phone, text and other apps that I can read on it and reply with depending on the App I am using (some don't work as well like Textra). I also enjoy changing the watch designs. Also the band is comfortable, but slippery when sweating. Now for the Con's and things I would hope they will work on changing. The battery life could be better than 1 1/2 days max, but recharging it is quick, I am spoiled with the week long battery on the Fitbit, but without the color screen I understand, would like to see 3 days at least. Would like to see them disable the step counter when cycling, I go for a ride and it counts steps (so does the charge 3). Not sure why they can't disable the step counter when you choose cycling. Would like them to add "Weights" for tracking and not just weight machine. I use an app to track my workouts that tracks weight, sets, reps and is a timer, and don't want to choose every weight workout on the watch or in the app for each set and reps. This Fitbit does have and make it a better way to track weight lifting workouts. Lastly that they change the Floors tracking, I don't know why they feel 17 steps is 10' and counts as a floor? Most homes have 14 steps are 9 1/2 to 10 feet and is a floor, so it never counts all the floors I actually do, even if I do 20 flights, it doesn't even break it down to their standard and count it as say 15 to 17 flights. Please Samsung consider these changes and I would give it a 5 across the board.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Im gonna get so fit now This watch is awesome for working out and actually makes me look forward to going to the gym. Im gonna get so fit!!!! It counts my squats; push ups pull ups and how long I run or jog. I get asked about it all the time at a gym because people see me checking it but think it’s a regular watch. I’ve been showing it off a lot at the gym and at work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The watch that has it all This is a great watch! It's nice looking, lightweight, water resistant, and it has a good battery life. I have the Galaxy S10+ and it's awesome how I can charge the watch with my phone. For exercising it has been great to listen to music (it easily connects with the Galaxy buds), and to keep track of my exercises.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and Sporty The galaxy watch active is so great as fitness watch but it’s also stylish and easily passable as a regular watch. I love that I found a watch that can track my sleep patterns and exercise that also matches my style and doesn’t look super sporty. The battery life is great, and I can last a few days in a full charge. Very happy with this watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool sport watch The galaxy watch Active is really cool, awesome features like blood pressure and stress monitoring, cool design that looks like a real watch, plus its customizable (bands, and even watch faces. I use mine when working out and it’s very accurate on predicting what I’m doing and counting my reps. Very cool little gadget.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Okay as a watch This watch doesn't auto track workouts as well as a Fitbit, it doesnt pick up running until .6 to .9 of a mile. I've done a 90 min orange theory workout and it tracked 10 min. They battery life isn't great either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Smart Watch - Great product I have had a Samsung smart watch in the past. I should have had 2 hours 15 minutes (or whatever ratio you should have to be restful and awake during your work day.) I like the features to put in activities, like walking, jogging, swimming , biking, etc., for active people. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Endless Possibilities Pros: Many different customized watch faces available for free or a cost to download. Allowing for endless customizations. I like many different ones and change them often just by tapping the screen. There are many apps available. Some of the ones I use are the exercise tracker to track my steps, calories burned, and length of the workout. There is also a stress meter and a pulse tracker tracking beats per minute. Other apps I use are for the weather, control my music app Spotify, calendar, text messages, alarm clock, and sleep tracker. All of the health-related apps link to your phone and provide tracking history. The Samsung Health app provides global challenges to compete with other users. The watch is easy to charge, as it provides a wireless charging pad. The watch comes with an extended watch band that is easy to change. Cons: Watch is more petite than I like. The watch band material could be improved, as it makes your arm sweat. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fitness motivator and tracker I purchased this three weeks ago and enjoy the reliability and features it offers. I've had no technical glitches with the Active watch which is the main reason I ended up buying it. I needed relief from the multiple issues I encountered with a competing fitness tracker. The only anoyances I've had with this watch are the two day battery life and the two hour recharge time. Battery life and charge time are the reasons for my 4 star overall rating. Rated 5 out of 5 by from okay watch but not keeping me motatived Got a confirmation from Samsung on the 17th and received the watch on the 23rd, which is really fast shipping. When i recieved the watch it was 87% charged so i fully charged it and it took 20 minutes. I downloaded the Galaxy wearable app to my Samsung Galaxy S10 and downloaded a watch face. I was so excited to have Samsung Pay on my watch but since I've had it, the watch has deleted my credit card off of it twice without my permission and I have to drive 35 minutes to my bank to have it put back on. The battery life is not good at all within 32 hours my watch was at 10%. I have to charge it everyday so I'm always connected to a charger. This watch doesn't keep me as active as my last watch [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good features, needs improving I am very happy with the watch overall. I hate watches, and jewelry of any kind. However, when I wear the watch I don't even realize I have it on. I like that it reminds you to move around, if you've been sitting for an hour. I love being able to respond to texts via the watch using voice to text. The one thing that would make this watch perfect is being able to answer calls. I thought I could and answered an incoming call through my watch, only to have to race to the phone to actually be able to talk to person.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving it! This watch really surprised me when I open the box because of the style and how it looks perfectly on my wrist. I like all the features and easy to connect to my phone as well. This is way better than my other watch that I have been wearing for years. I like how this watch looks very sharp and sleek and I could tell it has really good quality. I recommend this to anyone who is like me that love to wear watches anytime. I highly recommend getting a screen protector on the watch before using it.
