This Tab S8 was perfect, i can check emails, have the apps for my flights, my kindle app. Battery life is very good. I’m now looking at getting the Tab S8 Ultra for my partner who needs something a little faster.

The color of text seems to vary from brown to black depending on the viewing angle. The power cable is USB-C on both ends. You may need to buy a converter for USB to USB-C. Transferring all my data has been time consuming. Accessing my password-protected data required that I re-enter all my passwords. I haven't used the included pen.

The combination makes a perfect pseudo laptop but with a pen. Haven’t encountered any flaws, just an all around amazing product for what I need!

When it comes to performance the S8 just can't be matched. Very slim and manageable design. The display is beyond amazing. Samsung raised the bar on this series

Samsung Dex works better than I expected. Good form and sound. The screen is great. Best part was the trade-in value as well as the free keyboard case.

I had an iPad for years before I decided to try a Samsung tablet last year and started with Samsung FE (a simplified version of Samsung Tab S7 plus). It was a great tablet and already then I left the Apple product behind for good. The Samsung tablet S8 is even better. I went for a smaller version this time (11 inches vs 12.4) and love this little thing! The possibilities for customization are endless. I installed Nova Launcher and adjusted all apps and widgets to my liking. There are no problems with weird looking or crashing apps. The color pallet is very vivid and pleasant to the eye. This tablet is not dull and is very versatile. Not mentioning that it comes with a pen (no need to spend extra money on one). I use it for browsing and occasional coloring in the Penup app. Swiping is very smooth and it is just a very nice thing to hold in your hands. Highly recommended!

It is still an outstanding screen with great pixel density. Samsung continues the great design language from previous S Tab lines. Performance is top notch. By far the top Android tablet line.

I can crank the graphics up to max resolution and frame rate, and it still handles the game wonderfully. The game booster is highly functional compared to the older booster in older Samsung devices. If you game you need this tablet.

Loads of features, with beautiful display, great processing speed & memory, however battery life is a little disappointing. Side by side, the S7 loses about 1% of battery overnight when in airplane mode, and the S8 loses about 5-6% even though the display is off and it is not sending or receiving data. Just an observation, and she still loves it.

My S7 I bought before the S8 did the same thing after 1 year of use I charged perfectly until then same as the S8. I'm starting to tink its a samsung tablet issue period grrr

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery life bad but beautiful tablet I bought the S8, and can’t argue it’s a beautiful tablet but the battery life was awful, it lost tons of battery life without even using it.I reset it and had almost everything shut off and still didn’t help. So I sent it back I must have got a lemon and the sad part is I traded my s7 fe for it and ended up losing my trade in because it got processed the same day I decided to send back the new one. So now I’m out a tablet .

I pre-ordered the galaxy tab s8 128gb in February to make sure I could receive it as soon as it was available - i even got mine a week earlier than the projected shipping. The features are awesome, and it pairs well with my S21 Ultra! It's easy to carry around and it's super lite! I have definitely used it more than my laptop for studying and doing research.

The integrated keyboard and ability to add in a microsd card really set this tablet apart. It is fast and doesn't show any signs of slowing down with multiple apps open. I also got the tablet on a great trade in deal. My only complaint is that the tablet is a bit oblong and I wish it was more in the shape of a square as opposed to a rectangle.

The performance of this tablet is the best yet, it's very very snappy very powerful and capable of playing all the games and running apps that I need. Camera quality is excellent as well.

Samsung had a trade in offer and gave me a good price for my 7 year old iPad pro 9.7. Boy am I impressed. This thing is far and away better than the iPad. The DEX mode alone is worth the price, it basically turns this tablet into a PC. The integration between this tablet and my Samsung TV and soundbar is impressive as well. You can turn the tablet screen into a TouchPad control and use your TV as the wireless display for the dex mode. The battery is quite robust and I have to try hard to get it low enough to need a charge before bedtime. I'm so impressed with it that my next phone will be a Samsung Galaxy!

I find myself using it everyday from simple tasks to multitasking. It's also great for kids who like to draw, and you get a pen at no extra cost as well (unlike Apple)

Tranferring data took a while but it worked after a few tries and reconnecting a the usb cord betwen my old S4 and the new S8

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So close Samsung.. you almost had a perfect device I love the S8 tablet and I'm happy with some of the changes Samsung has made in regards to the preinstalled apps that previously ran in the background eating ram and not having a way to disable or uninstall any app especially if you don't use it.. and having the ability to either use the 8g ram or lower it (6g 4g) which will further reduce background running apps.. my one big.,HUGE disappointment, like everyone is the Spen and the disappointing lifespan it inevitably has., mine lasted roughly a month and then the nib basically disintegrated into the pen itself.. why in the world did Samsung developers not take information regarding the Spen from older devices because the tip on every Samsung Spent supported device has the same problem yet it's easy to find a replacement nub, or pen at a reasonable price yet for this model it took a few months to produce a replacement pen that isn't covered under warranty here or even Best Buy even though you have a total tech membership. the Spen Pro for $100 was the only thing that was available before I even found a replacement pen around Christmas which didn't work anyway. I had a replacement pen for my S6 lite that I thought might work but even though it asks if you want to be able to use a pen across your devices.. i understand it's an aggressive race to constantly out do the competition but c'mon! is it too much to ask that give your customers.. the people who decided to purchase Your product and put money into your company that you at least give us replacement nubs when we are spending upwards of $1000 or more for your devices?

One of things that I love is it comes with a s-pen without additional charge, and the s-pen works way better and fits my needs than apple pencil in my opinion. It also comes with Android 13 installed out of box, that means it has tons of great features that can be customized to fit anyone's needs, no mention everything is running smoothly under it's high-end hardware spec. that definitely let you feel it is a well built premium tablet.

DEFINITELY WAYYY AHEAD OF IPHONES BY FARRR. SO IMPRESSED WITH THE TECHNOLOGY & QUALITY OVERALL. Too bad it does NOT come with the charger adapter. It only comes with the cord so you have to buy that separately. Cost me an extra $20. The battery does get warm sometimes but not that often. The battery also doesn't really last all day like my old galaxy s10e and that's with all the options turned on ( dark mode, power saver and eye comfort pretty low). But I don't mind dealing with it because my new phone, the galaxy s22, is bomb. I hope I don't lose the cord or the $20 wall adapter.

I would reckmmend going with the 12 inch version for note taking it gives a bigger canvas. Also i felt some of the apps have nt been optimized weel if that could have been solved it would become one of the best android tablet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great device I bought the Tab S8 when it was on sale including a $275 credit for an old iPad Air 1. Without those deep discounts, I'm not sure I could justify the list price. With that said, the Tab S8 is a sweet android tablet. Great performance with an incredible screen. Dex is also very cool. I ended up buying a 3rd party keyboard case because the Samsung case was just too expensive. Highly recommend for watching movies, gaming and work productivity.

I love how it comes with a built in adult coloring book for relaxing. Battery life is OK but I'm a heavy user. I watch live TV on it for hours. Movies, even playing FORTNITE is smooth=no lag. Sucks it does not come with the wall adapter- which is a c-type, not your average wall adapter. It cost me an extra $20.

The Tab 8 has a much better screen, faster chip and better battery life. The Tab also installed all of my apps from my Galaxy S21 so there was very little installation work to perform. The offer also included the cover/keyboard along with the pen feature. My best purchase this year so far.

I have no need of a 1,500.00 dedicated laptop when this device has and does everything that I have need of doing. It's incredibly thin and light, for all that it does it's like techno magic. The screen is beautiful and immediately responsive to my touch or with the cool s-pen that comes with this tablet. Gaming on this tablet is incredible! My experience has been flawless, and undoubtedly contributed to my most recent win streak, it's just so smooth everything seems easier to do. Dex is really easy to use and a wonderfully acceptable substitute for any other OS, I especially appreciate being able to easily cast the dex screen to my TV, so no need for a monitor! This Galaxy Tab S8 is everything I want and need for all I do.

I have been using it for more than 4 months now and it just feels so permium. I am an Architect and I also draw,and i love the s-pen. There is no lag and it feels very smooth to the screen. I am using it for both work and watching movies and have no issues overall. A plus is definetly the dex mode where i can open multiple windows as i would in my computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this tablet! This tablet is great! The display is very good for an IPS/TFT/LCD type. It's basically identical to the Tab S7 which I also liked a lot. The size is perfect for my use case. Not too large or heavy, easy to carry around with me and the included pen is very useful. The performance is lighting fast but that is to be expected since it's using the fastest Snapdragon chip as of 2022. Pen works exactly the way it did on previous Samsung tablets I've owned which is a good thing, I feel right at home but just with better overall performance. I don't use the cameras so I have no idea how those are sorry. Battery life feels roughly the same as the Tab S7, so no real change there either. One UI 4 has a few minor features that is def better than the stuff on the Tab S7. Overall, Its a minor improvement over the Tab S7 and a minor bump up in price. It's the most powerful 11 inch android tablet you can get right now so there really isn't much competition. The price isn't TOO bad IMO. I'd say its competitive with the iPad Air which is exactly what this tablet is targeting I think. I really don't have too much to say because it feels just like the Tab S7 just noticeably better performance, especially when gaming! Every game I play on this is just super smooth 60+ fps all the time. If you're looking for a good android gaming tablet that won't break the bank, this is it. The fact that this doubles as a portable monitor and productivity tablet with the included pen is def something that can truly do everything. Unless you're gaming non stop, the battery can get you through a day very easily. I was never concerned with the battery life even with the 85% limit turned on. Of course the Tab S7 is also a good option if you can get it on sale. You lose a little bit of performance but everything else is roughly the same. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect tablet for multitasking I bought this tablet as an upgrade to a 3 year old Galaxy Tab A. I was ready to step into the flagship tablet market and I am so glad that I chose this model. Everything about it has been amazing. I am a grad student and I can say that aside from taking online exams I use this device as a replacement for my 15.6 inch PC. Portability: I purchased the 11 inch Tab S8 and the 11inch is the perfect size for me. I originally was concerned that the 12.4 S8+ would have been better but this is perfect for my needs. It's lighter thant the Tab 8+ and sits fine on a desk/table or in my lap. It also is probably the only of the three devices that sits perfectly on an airplane tray table. Screen: The screen for an LTPS LCD screen is amazing. The brightness has always been more than I need and youtube vidoes, netflix and disney plus shows look outstanding in 4k resolution. I never personally have the brightness above 50% unless outdoors and the glare is manageable and the brightness is very good even in sunny environments. I also love the 120HZ adaptive refresh rate. This makes the scrolling experience so enjoyable whether it's on the home screen between apps or reading large articles. Performance: I have had no issues whatsoever with performance. No stutter, no overheating, no issues at all. My favorite feature of the tab s8 is using DeX mode. As a student I use this constantly so I can have spotify playing while I answer emails and study my notes or pull up a video tab. Also the much improved table mode is amazing to have split screen mode for apps along with the ability to open a third small app like youtube or spotify is amazing for productivity. Battery life: Given the power of the screen and the ability to run all of these data consuming apps the battery life is very good. I am a medium usage person. Lots of youtube videos and spotify while using applications like google docs, sheets, outlook etc. along with chrome for internet browsing and research. I get a solid 5-6 hours of screen on time per day and the battery consistenly stays between 30-40 percent. I think a full 8-10 hours of screen time could be expected if you aren't gaming. Features: I'll highlight two amazing features that I love. The improved 12mp front camera is fantastic for zoom calls and video calls with friends and family. I love the image quality and the image tracking is a little shaky but I'm not that concerned. The S-pen is out of this world. I say it is so much more tactile than the Apple Pencil and the extremely low latency has no lag. I would recommend spending the money and getting the book keyboard case with trackpad. It is amazing for the DeX mode and worth the price in my opinion. Plus it can be detachable with a great kickstand to have tablet mode on the go. If you want a high end tablet for productivity and like a stylus the comes with a tablet and enjoy a desktop feel with DeX this is the tablet line for you. Just decided on the size!
