Has great video quality
I bought my tablet the end of September, and use it for watching movies mostly. And it's got excellent video quality for the price. I do wish it had biometric security instead of just facial recognition. I don't like that people can see me enter my pass code so easily.

I love this tablet!
I love this tablet because the screen is big for games and watching YouTube. Sometimes it connects and disconnects to wi-fi and it gets hot but other than that it is amazing!

DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE
i bought 2 of these devices for my kids. they only use it on the weekends. the charging port on bought devices went bad. all within a year and a little over a year.
it was not value for the money spent.
how do 2 devices go bad with the same issue at about the same time?
the nj office gave an exorbitant price to fix the other one which was 2 weeks over a year. i could not afford it, i asked them to send it back. they took their precious time and sent it back about 3 weeks after the call about the price.
very frustrating & disappointing.
save yourself the headache and do not buy this device,

Has potential
there are really only a couple problems with this tablet (galaxy tab a8) the first and most frustrating is the wifi connection or lack there of. it frequently loses internet connection not necessarily connection to my router most times it will say "connected without internet" or it will connect and disconnect over and over until i restart the device. the other issue isn't as frustrating but is annoying is the fact that sometimes when rotating the tab to view full screen (landscape) or back to portrait the touchscreen doesn't work i'll have to turn the screen off and back on for it to work again. there are alot of good things about it though like the battery life is outstanding especially with the amazing screen quality very bright and vivid

Yes you could easily spend a lot more for a higher functioning tablet. But for the price this is unparalleled. Highly recommend for day to day use.

This the 4th time I've ever purchased a Samsung tablet. The first time was yrs ago for myself. I used it for years throughout college and the beginning of parenthood. I've used the tablets for my kids and I think of all the other brands I've tried for them, the Samsung is the most kid friendly, kid focused and kid protected tablet. I love that I can use the Kids feature without having to pay extra fees. I love that I can customize it and password protect it so it's fitted to my kids' needs. And I love that you can create more than one profile. I will always be a Samsung product user. Our cell phones are also Samsung Galaxy phones.

Love the A8 tablet.I bought this one to replace my older S3 "Still use it though".The A8 Interface is fast and responsive, great solid build.The screen is bright and colorful and with the four speaker system it sounds great .I love playing games and watching YouTube on it.I highly recommending it if you wanna upgrade from your old tablet!!

Nice design, great performance for value
Samsung typically doesn't disappoint, their devices always look sleek and aesthetically luxurious in my opinion. Performance is good, the touch interface can be glitchy at times with some apps and different browsers other than Chrome. I'm enjoying the tablet, would give about a 4.5/5.

Very lightweight, easy to use. We are used to the Apple Ipad but since our business is only compatible to Andriod products, we tried the Samsung Galaxy Tablet instead. We bought 2 of these. It is working very well that cost a lot less than the Apple Ipad!

Good hardware
Overall a very nice tablet. Hardware is good. Only downside is getting through and around all of Samsung's "tweaks" to Android. Setup experience could be a whole lot better.

Very good basic tablet, no complaints
Much better than the Tba A7 Lite I purchased first. Had so many issues with that I had to return it. Still wanting an Android tablet, I decided to give the A8 a try. A much better experience from setup to the user experience after everything was updated. Much like any device I had to endure all the updates to get it current. It wasn't terrible, but it did take some time to get through them.

I PURCHASED This Galaxy Tab A8 (8.0’2019) is HORRIBLE BACK IN 2021 FROM FINGERHUT
I never experienced the full functions of this tablet due to the lack of performance
It very slow
I keep factory resetting it
And the most important problem is
IT WON’T FULLY DOWNLOAD THE SYSTEM OR INSTALL BECAUSE THE FIRMWARE FAILS TO INSTALL
AND THERE IS NO SERVICE AREA NEAR ME
SO I JUST BASICALLY WASTED $250 INCLUDING TAXES
AND CANT DO ANYTHING WITH IT

Another 'meh' budget tablet.
Why are all of your decent tablets so BIG? I want a better version of the A7 Lite, but for decent guts I have to buy something 10+ inches. Even this A8 doesn't seem much of a performance upgrade over the A7 Lite. Still uses a Chipset no one knows the name of. Still uses a subpar GPU. Do they not make the older Qualcomm or Adrenos you used in the Tab S6 (for example)? GSMArena doesn't even say if it uses UFS or the A7 Lite's awful eMMC. The screen to body ratio of this is less than the A7 Lite, why? RAM on low end, but ok. WiFi 6 is becomming the standard with 6e becoming more present but this still on WiFi 5. Make it smaller and more mid-range and not bottom shelf and I'd happily purchase this. Bump the price $50-$100 and it'd still be worth. Selling low end devices that make you want to slam it against a desk because you can only have one thing open at a time is just frustrating. Hate to say it, but Apple and Amazon are winning unless it's a Galaxy Series device. :-(
